We have an unbeatable location 5 minutes walk from Quito's Old Town main tourist area within a short distance to all major attractions, night life and interesting spots and a central transport network just around the corner. We have a free walking tour of the historic center that we encourage volunteers to go on to learn about Quito, and we can also arrange for discounts on day tours or jungle trips if arranged in advance for days off or after your stay. Hello! We are Charlotte (USA) and Christian (Ecuador), and we have an Ecoculturual Finca outside of Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas, Ecuador. The Finca is about 8 hectares of hilly jungle, filled with cacao, banana, avocado, papaya, coffee, bamboo, sugar cane, and other tropical fruit trees. Christian started this project in 2012 to create a community of people who want to live consciously and in harmony with the natural world. We believe sustainability has an environmental component (we eat vegetarian, use composting toilets, minimize waste, use resources we have on the finca, etc), but that it also has a cultural component; infusing art, cultural exchange, genuine connection, music, inter-generational sharing, and creative problem solving into daily life is important to living sustainably! The hope is that by starting small, by living well on the finca, we can spread an environmental consciousness to our surrounding community, and hopefully beyond. Accommodations: Volunteers stay in ...

Hello friends :) We are Sadí and Jacqi, a couple from Perú and Germany. After several years of traveling, volunteering, helping out and learning in many beautiful projects & communities, we have settled down in the rainforest of Perú and are now happy to be able to receive volunteers ourselves :) About a year ago, we bought this piece of land which includes about 56 hectares, in the region of Ucayali The area has suffered a lot from deforestation by the coca leaf production and cattle industry which left the soil very depleted due to the intense use of chemicals. the forests need our support (cutting vines preventing trees from growing, opening up the water ways of the rivers that are blocked by wood, vines and much more...) to be able to recover strongly and healthily. Our vision for this place is to help the local ecosystem to recover its natural balance, establish abundant food forests, including local and foreign varieties, using natural, regenerative methods like permaculture,...

Our place is located just ten minutes from La Ceja, Antioquia and an hour from Medellin. This charming town is known to have more bicycles than inhabitants and a great place to explore the beauty of the "oriente antioqueño". The work is diverse and we usually ask for about 4-5 hours of help per day. Normally we do three days of work and one day off. The days start with Agnihotra and Yoga and then a hearty breakftast. We offer accommodation and three meals a day, for this we ask for a contribution of USD$20 per day to cover general expenses. We love food and cooking, we enjoy spending time in the kitchen preparing healthy, delicious meals. If you like to cook, we are more than happy to taste your flavors! For now we ask for seven to ten days, or perhaps more depending on current projects. We just finished building our woodfire oven for bread and pizza making! We are pet lovers, at the moment have six dogs and three cats, most of them were adopted. Please let us know if you are intere...

I fell in love with beautiful Mompiche, moved here and started to build my dream house in 2006. It is a five-story bamboo house, built like a wedding cake. The top floor has a spectacular 360-degree view, with views from the shower and the toilet too! Mompiche is a quaint fishing village with a pristine 40-mile crescent moon bay. From October to April there are world-class waves, attracting surfers from around the world. It is surrounded by jungle with monkeys and tons of birds, including toucans and parrots. I am a massage therapist from Esselen, Big Sur, California with more than 40 years of experience. Chocolate making, basket weaving, and coconut cracking classes are available. Tours of the jungle and yoga can be arranged. You can explore the incredible surrounding area on foot or in kayaks, on horseback, or on a motorboat. We are located in a small coastal fishing and watersports tourist village in the northeast of Brazil. We work with Biodiverse Agroecological Agroforestry systems following the principles advocated by Ernst Goetsch, planting all types of fruit and vegetables. To expand the forest and plant increasingly more trees, we are looking to welcome volunteers to stay on the farm and share their knowledge with our team who in turn will share their knowledge with you. We regularly host agroforestry technique courses with some of the most renowned experts in the field. Volunteers will have access to these courses after a minimum volunteer period. We work with manual plantation of SAFA (Agroecological AgroForestry Systems). We work according to the biodynamic calendar so are on a constantly rotating and adapting work calendar and cover everything from preparing seedlings to pruning trees in established systems. We work with the top professionals in the world in regenerative agriculture and our v...

We need volunteers with horse skills. We love the countryside, We don't like heavy drugs, enjoy social drinks, love sports, Like easygoing people, free yoga lessons for beginners twice a week.. We offer accomodation and basic food. Plenty of milk, honey, fruit, bread some cans, more food shall be purchased by the volunteer. We would like six hours of work a day, better in the morning. I am currently living in a town called Cajabamba. I have a piece of land twenty minutes from it where I have tara and avocado fruit trees. I live a simple happy life being within nature and I feel very connected to it. I love animals and minimalistic living. I know this lovely area where I can take my guests for nice hikes and visits to nearby hotsprings. I am a Spanish-English teacher. I taught Spanish in Europe for four years and then I moved to the mountains in Peru in 2019. Presently I am teaching Spanish on line. ** I teach English to kids from low income families in the mountains. We need your help! Consider coming to my place instead of paying hostals in crowded cities. That way we keep English accessible to kids.** - I need help with my fruit trees, light weeding, watering, maybe wood chopping and pruning. Building or working with clay is good too. Or just practicing English with me. I am really easygoing with work. - I got instagram where you can see a bit more about m...

Permaculture-Self sustainable Farm Living Caju . We are learning and exchanging ideas about Permaculture and self sustainability. Our farm is situated in a Natural Reserve area called Bananal, located 18 Km away from the beaches of Perube - SP. Here we have begun our project. Using the idea behind observing and working with what is natural and unique to this landscape we are learning to grow local plants and fruit trees, as well as understand the forestation of the area, to best work with the land to support us and our animals. Currently we are growing orchards of multiple fruit trees, such as jack-fruit, papaya, starfruit, goiaba, bananas, coffee, cacao, and limes to name a few, as well as vegetables in our garden. We are using the concept of building green, by using local materials found on the land, such as different varieties of woods, bamboo and clay. We have switched most of our toilets over to the dry toilet system in order to make less of an environmental impact and use t...

At present help is mainly needed with construction, painting, landscaping and out door cleaning, while from Dec. to May there may be housekeeping, attending guests, and caring for plants. Helpers work for 4 hours a day with 2 days off midweek and live in one of the suites. They are responsible for preparing their own meals. There's plenty of time for lounging around the pool, enjoying the beach or surfing. We need people who can work without supervision and enjoy nature. We are on a beautiful out of the way beach which generally has tourists only on holidays.

The aim of Patio Baron is to share some knowledge of stonecraft and Mapuche culture with others from around the world and help to keep the tradition alive. Hi, we are a busy hostel in Quito, Ecuador. We need volunteers to help us with daily duties such as reception and light cleaning. We are not open 24 hours so you do not have to work the night shift. In exchange, you get dinner (vegetables, meats, salads) and breakfast every day, and a bed in a dorm room. You can use the WIFI and all our public areas. The working hours are five hours per day, 5 days, which means that every 6th day is off. Choosing your shift is pretty flexible. This is a small hostel with a capacity for 22 people. It is a chilled out hostel in the historical part of Quito. Quito offers a lot of activities for your leisure time. Explore the Historical Center, take the cable car and enjoy a fantastic view of the city, make a day trip to Cotopaxi, or visit the equator line at Mitad del Mundo.

Do you want to live the way indigenous people live in the jungle, cooking over a wooden fire and sleeping in hammocks? Do you want to gain experience working in the chagra (garden) and helping us construct new buildings for our center? Do you want to take the next step in your healing journey and learn about ayahuasca? Then this opportunity is for you! We are located in Iquitos, Peru but the retreat center is about a 45 minute drive into the jungle and then a 30 minute walk to the center. We will set up transportation from Iquitos so no need to worry about that. Our retreat center is purposefully set further back into the jungle so that we get away from the bustle of the city and can fully enjoy the serenity of nature. We have a main building that has a rustic kitchen (we cook over a wood fire), we have a separate cabin for guests, and a malokah where we offer yoga and ceremonies. There is also a lovely river that runs through the property that we use for water and fishing. You can s...

We are located in the heart of the Atlantic Forest, on the banks of Rio de Contas river, 15 km from Itacaré – south of Bahia. It is an organic agroforestry cocoa farm and also a Private Reserve of Natural Heritage (PRNH), with an exceptional biodiversity. An ideal place to rest and develop therapeutic, educational, meditative, physical and artistic techniques. “Center of Reconnection with the Self” is a place for spiritual development. Its intention is to be a sustainable place, where we can live in harmony with the natural cycles, producing high quality food, living with simplicity and consciousness and welcoming visitors that also support these ideas. Today a small community, that we call “Family”, is being formed to share a healthy daily practice, with the common goal of cultivating inner and outer harmony. There is a morning Chi Kung practice and we eat wholesome vegan food (sometimes being ovo-lacto-vegetarian). We welcome volunteers who are genuinely interested in sharing our fam...

This is a traditional family-owned farm which, after years of abandonment, is currently being re-imagined as a sustainable and environmentally-conscious community. Located just 3km from the beach, where the Pampa plain meets the rugged coastline of the Argentinian Atlantic. We are passionate about agriculture, surfing, music, travel, nature and the environment, who want to create a communal space where people from around the world can come to learn about sustainable living and ecological ideals; share delicious organic food from the gardens; surf; tell stories; share knowledge, ideas, culture and language; learn about farming, the environment, or just relax and enjoy the farm and surrounds. The project is in its early stages and we are looking for energetic and responsible individuals wanting to experience and contribute to rural life and communal living close to nature. We are looking for self-motivated individuals to help us out with daily tasks such as helping in the kitchen, kee...

We're a Dutch migrated family, living on a piece of land on a hillslope, little bit outside of Tarija. Tarija, in southern Bolivia, has a nice climate, laid back people and know for it's wines. We have still quite a piece of land of no use that can be improved. We offer you a choice of tasks that can be done, depending on your length of stay, capabilities and interests. For the longer stayers (at least a week), we can offer complete new “projects” which you can start and finish, so you can go on travelling with a lot of satisfaction, as we will be also. To list a few (some will also depend on our financial situation to buy materials): - Clearing and fencing of a piece of land that we bought some 5 km further - Terracing the hillslope back of our house to prepare it for agricultural production - Maintenance of the greenhouse (strawberry and vegetable production) - Improving all electricity in and around our house, installing exterior lightning - Apiary For shorter stays, most tasks wi...

We are a non-governmental organization located on Ilha Grande, working on Agroforestry and Sustainability projects - it's literally a paradise!! We are in the initial phase, the NGO is new, and at this moment, we are structuring the volunteers' camping zone. Therefore, the stay today is in tents in an open area with coverage amid the Atlantic Forest, providing volunteers with direct contact with the abundance of our nature! The location provides easy access to trails leading to every corner of the island! Additionally, we have kayaks available at the inn, and when they are not in use by guests, volunteers can use them. Right in front of the inn is the crystal-clear Blue Lagoon. ________________________________________________________________________________________ Somos uma ONG localizada em Ilha Grande que atua com projetos de Agrofloresta e Sustentabilidade. Need people for cleaning after Airbnb guests. OR Carpenters! The cabin is 'rustic', no tv or fancy amenities! It's 2-3 hours from Santiago, but only one kilometer from the major highway. From my cabin, you are a 2 minute walk to the ocean! There's small shops that have all you'll need within 5 blocks, a few restaurants too. All country style. To see lots of photos: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/4170563 Views of the ocean are incredible. I'm a filmmaker currently in Tanzania with my dogs and need people to live downstairs and let Airbnb guests in, out, and clean up after they leave. Being handy for possible problems is great too. Must enjoy RUSTIC and RURAL and your own company! Party animals will be miserable.

Hello and welcome everyone. Our place is a wise 70 years old olive grove. We just moved last year and we are working to create Permaculture farm.. We try to live a simple life, respecting and cooperating with nature, and neighbours to pursue the goal of a healthier humanity on Earth. Because it is a young project there is plenty to do and we need people willing to help. We have done a permaculture design that we are on process to implementing (swales, ponds, reforesting, etc) We already have the organic veggie garden planted, the chicken shed built (wood and cob), the compost area done and we are working on building outside compost toilets. We also grow edible mushrooms with our own recycled logs and hopefully this year we will have our first crop. The options of work are enormous: from the basics structural to the delicate creative decorations. We appreciate everyone’s skills and advice. We are happy to help and learn from each other. My name is Gustavo and at the moment I live by...

San Bartolo of Uchuculin is a small rural Kichwa community, 11km from the city of Tena, Napo at the edge of Llanganates National Park!! There are several projects that the families need help with right now, such as building a traditional style house in the jungle and cultivating cocoa, yuca, pineapple and maize crops. There is no set program, volunteers can bring their own projects related to their professions and areas of interest, and according to the needs of the community. There is also the opportunity to teach English in a local rural school.)!!🇪🇨!👍📍✌️ It is the hope of the community that volunteers participate in community activities and daily life. This is more of a cultural exchange and a real chance to experience Kichwa Community life from learning to speak Kichwa, cook typical food, build a knowledge about medicinal plants and to make typical jewellery from natural fibres and seeds. 😀 During the week is when the volunteers will work. During the weekend they have an o...

I am charging $10 a week for all the bottled water you can drink, electricity, gas, TP and a bed in my dream house. I offer 5 delisous breakfasts and 5 ...

We are inspired by Permaculture, Agroecology, Organic and Biodynamic Practices and Alternative Gastronomy. We are Rodrigo and Gabriela and our 3-year-old son, Raul. Greetings, We are a Guesthouse directly on the beach in Santa Marianita, 20 minutes south of Manta, with a lot of happy cats and dogs. The Name of our Guesthouse is "DonkeyDen". Santa Marianita beach is long, sandy and safe to walk day or night at your own discretion. This is not a party beach and is known for its kitesurfing. We are seeking mature, low-drama travellers, with good morals and drug-free volunteers who love animals, will help caretaking and maintain them, are ready to work with a smile and have fun meeting people from all over the world. We do appreciate our wonderful volunteers dressing appropriately as we are a guesthouse, not a hostel. Our volunteer rooms are usually shared with a maximum of 3 people and each room has its own bathroom including hot water. The kitchen is shared and fully equipped. We also provide a laundry service for our volunteers. There is wifi throughout the property. Sometimes we cook together, and sometimes friends of the community share foo...
