Our Hostel is a brand-new Hostel in San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas; Mexico.

Our Hostel is just 2 blocks from mainsquare and offer different services in and out the place: hosting, tours, temazcal. Our place is an old big neoclassic arquitecture house, with a beautiful big garden with temazcal (mayan sauna), hammocks and a brand-new terrace with a 360 grades view from the city.

I have an organic garden on a 20 hectare property in the state of Yucatan by the Gulf of Mexico near the beautiful fishing village of San Felipe. I have a degree in electrical engineering and I developed many ways to be self-sufficient. I cook solar-electric, with a rice cooker connected directly to 4 small solar panels and I also cook with a wood burning rocket stove. At "Hacienda Santa Maria" you can learn how to live in a civilized way on just a few dollars a day. I will show you how to mostly live off the Sun and how I build a beautiful concrete block house for about the price of a car using my invention "Horsy". Learn how to control weeds without chemicals, naturally fertilize the irrigation water and make any crop use significantly less water with "Rock culture" or even eliminate the need for watering with "banana trunks". +++ I live without a fridge and eat fresh food instead. At "The University of Santa Maria" you can learn everything you need to know to prosper, even during... more inside

Hey there! We're a hostel located right in center of Puerto Vallarta. We like having fun! We like going on adventures during the day, and going for a night out on the town. We work hard and we play hard. We strive to make our place as clean and comfortable as possible, and love getting into projects and artwork. We host backpackers from all over the world, and we treasure the social time we spend with them

As a hostel, socializing with guests will be a requirement. We will ask that you take people on hikes, to the beautiful beaches in the Bay, and for a fun night out on the town. Yep, you read that right! It is our goal to show our guests the way the locals do PV.

We will need help with cleaning. Generally, that will include help in bathrooms, common areas, laundry, and making beds for new arrivals. Occasionally, we may need help with ongoing art projects.

Accommodations include a single bed in a shared dorm with other volunteers, fresh sheets and towel provided weekly. Wi... more inside

Minimum 30 years old.

If you are interested in helping in the kitchen in the evenings, do cleaning chores, help with general things and want to stay for at least 2 weeks on the Mexican Caribbean beach in exchange for help – This might be it.
We are situated "off the grid" on the Costa Maya beach, 5 km south of Mahahual town, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
The Costa Maya is still a very natural environment with the 2nd largest barrier reef in front and a huge area of mangrove and wet lands behind.

With the two of us we run a small cozy restaurant, open in the evenings where our international guests come and enjoy a freshly prepared meal and good company.

Further more we have 2 rental units in our flower-full garden.

Our place runs fully on solar and wind power plus we catch our own rainwater.

Your main thing to do will be kitchen prep/help, maintenance or cleaning the property like raking the yard/beach and whatever surprise we encounter that day.

If you speak Dutch, G... more inside

We have an intimate chill hostel with an amazing bar in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. It is only a short walk to the tranquil beach of paradisiac Playa Carrizalillo, the local market and the main downtown area with numerous restaurants. There are also facilities throughout our neighborhood, and it is way cheaper than on Zicatela beach.

Our goal is to provide our volunteers and guests with an amazing experience, either relaxing in our wonderful pool or partying like a rock star in our party bar with our legendary wheel. Our property is landscaped with a large variety of native tropical plants which adds the feel of Oaxaca. The bar is poolside with ice cold beer and delicious cocktails; all served at a backpacker friendly budget. Feel free to use our BBQ, play a game of pool and many other games, lounge in our hammocks, tan by the pool or explore the city. Remember that 'life begins at the edge of your comfortzone'...
