Fantastic location for travelling to the Bay of Islands. Comfortable room in a lovely warm home with double bed or 2 single beds.

I am looking for helpers to stay for a week or more to help out on the lifestyle block. Duties are mainly gardening such as weeding, mulching and mowing the lawn. I would also like some help with small maintenance jobs around the house.

We offer accommodation with breakfast, lunch and dinner in exchange for 4 hours work per day. There is the opportunity to work additional hours each day in exchange for days off.

Our location is great for those wishing to explore the beautiful Kaipara with beautiful beaches only 20 minutes away. Maungaturoto with lovely cafes is nearby and the well known Kauri museum in Matahkohe is only half an hour by car. There is a lovely walk to a beautiful waterfall nearby.

I live alone with two big lovely dogs and a variety of chickens. In my large gardens I grow vegetables, plants and flowers. My house is my heaven... more inside

We next have space available from 18 Feb.

We are a small kiwi family and live on a 6 ha avocado Orchard 10 minutes from Whangarei.
We are always looking for easy going people to help out with general orchard duties such as fertilising the trees, moving wood and depending on the time of year planting trees.

There are lovely beaches and places to visit near where the orchard is situated.

We offer; Accommodation, comfortable beds, toilet, shower and 3 meals for 4 hours help a day in an amazing setting.

We have a large homestead with a pool and a separate clean and comfortable sleepout with a toilet for helpers. We can provide a laundry and would expect you to do your own washing and keep the sleepout clean and tidy.

You would be part of our family and we would eat together. We would cook and expect you to help clean up.

Philip and I (Sonia) are in our late 40's and we have two school-age children and also; a dog, chickens and a cat. Sonia works in town and Philip ... more inside

We are a welltravelled couple in our 60s and are establishing the garden in our new home. Help appreciated with weeding, mulching and planting, and general tidying up.

We offer you self-contained accommodation and, according to other HelpXers, the meals we cook are great.

We live in Mangawhai where there are superb surf beaches and are approximately 90 minutes north of Auckland. As we live in a rural area having your own transport is an advantage.

We envisage that guests would stay one to two weeks.

We have built a log house (almost finished) on 11 hectares with native bush, gardens and ponds. We are in our seventies and need help with house maintenance and tidying the grounds.
Anything from handyman skills to gardening would be helpful.
We are close to the Opua to Hokianga Cycle trail (cycles available) and the Puketi Forest.
Own transport would be useful as we are about 25 minutes from Kerikeri. Helpers would have their own room with en-suite, meals provided. We have one small dog, very friendly, and the occasional peacock wandering by.

We are a easy going couple in our thirties who have a 16 acre farm that we brought nearly five years ago. As we now have a 3 year old gorgeous wee girl and my partner works long hours in his family business we could really do with some help on the farm to continue building our dream.
A friend of ours also lives here in his shack and is currently building a tiny house for himself on the property. Another of our friends lives here in his bus.
We also have a couple of caravans and some cabins onsite.
We started on our property with only a caravan and a bare block. We now have built a shack around our caravan and have some other infrastructure in place like large chook coups, gardens, compost toilet and compost bins, dirt bike track, woodshed, yards and more.
We have currently built some new cabins for us to live in and our shack we used to live in is now a self contained helper quarters, with kitchen, pool table, dart board and tv.
We could do with a hand with painting and ... more inside

We currently have a vacancy. A couple would be great!
There are two 1000 metre greenhouses and an outdoor area which we use to grow calla lily flowers for export, and succulents (over 70 types) for garden shops. We also usually have a few cattle, and a timid little girl dog. In winter we have citrus fruit here which starts just when the fejoas are finished. We also have an orchard with plums, peaches, apples, pears, nashi and others. All are eat as much as you want. None of the fruit trees have ever been sprayed because we have never got around to it. They also need a good prune so if you have any skills there it would be great.

We also like to have a good vegetable garden. This year it really needs some help. Our property is divided by a semi-permanent creek which we've been told has good sized eels in it. There is a large dam for supplying crop irrigation water and a home for frogs and ducks.

We have a comfortable spare room with a queen bed. We have no children at home an... more inside

We are a busy family of 5 with an additional 2 people also living in a self contained flat - Nana and Poppa.
3 children aged between 7 - 13 a small dog and a boat.

We are hoping that in exchange for a place to stay and sharing dinner with us that you will help out with gardening work around the property. Stays can be from 1-2 nights up to a few weeks depending on visitors requests. Gardening work would involve pruning flax and weeding gardens, trimming small trees and hedges. This isn't difficult work and most capable people could perform these tasks.

We love going to the beach and doing all the fun beach things like diving swimming and fishing in summer months weather permitting.
