We are a easy going couple in our thirties who have a 16 acre farm that we brought nearly five years ago. As we now have a 3 year old gorgeous wee girl and my partner works long hours in his family business we could really do with some help on the farm to continue building our dream.
A friend of ours also lives here in his shack and is currently building a tiny house for himself on the property. Another of our friends lives here in his bus.
We also have a couple of caravans and some cabins onsite.
We started on our property with only a caravan and a bare block. We now have built a shack around our caravan and have some other infrastructure in place like large chook coups, gardens, compost toilet and compost bins, dirt bike track, woodshed, yards and more.
We have currently built some new cabins for us to live in and our shack we used to live in is now a self contained helper quarters, with kitchen, pool table, dart board and tv.
We could do with a hand with painting and ... more inside

Hi there travellers. I am a single dad that works full time in the building industry. What I am seeking here is someone that can babysit/Nanny my girls when they get home from school and clean. Cooking skills would be great but I'm happy to cook too, but would love to try something new from another country. I'm pretty easy going and chilled and enjoy a beer or wine after work.
Note...I would prefer woman as I don't really want random men around my girls.
If your keen to experience a small beach town in New Zealand and are happy to look after kids after school hours, clean etc then flick me an email or message.
There is a car available for you use.

Note: From the month of June on there is availabilty!

Look forward to hearing from you.
Regards Chad

Greetings from Karen and critters.
Bending Tree is a small hobby farm with friendly animals.I have so enjoyed the young travelers/helpers that have contributed to the sanctuary here. A peaceful place. We are spray free and use live power instead of machines so with help from the animals be prepared for weeding.I have a few calves, sheep, lambs, ducks, hens, and the eight donkeys all with different personalities and fun to be with. If you have a good heart and enjoy animals this is the place for you..We have two foals born early December and they love company.

Maungaturoto is a small village with the usual shops, two cafes and organic shop/cafe.It`s an easy walk or there are two bikes for your use.

Waipu Cove and Mangawhai beaches are 20 minutes away. Also the wonderful glowworm caves within 30 minutes by car free to enjoy. Feel like a cool swim in small waterhole only 5 k's away'

We work mornings and can be flexible with this.
2 hours with you providing your food... more inside

We live on a lifestyle block of 17 acres, just 10 minutes from Whangarei. We currently have 12 sheep, 12 cows and a collection of chickens. We would like some help in the garden. There are 2 children, Jesse age 4 years and Elijah age 10 (disabled). Our expectation is that you would fit in with what needs to be done each day for approximately 4/5 hours. We would love to host a willing worker. Your own car would be helpful but we are in and out into town often so you will be able to get rides. You would sleep in your own room in a 2 bedroom cottage which is next door to the main house.
Please no late sleepers!!

We are ceramic artists who live on our 1 hectare property about 20km inland from the beautiful Doubtless Bay area. We run our pottery business from home and look after our organic gardens, small orchard and numerous chickens.

We have traveled widely ourselves and hosted travelers for over 10 years with another organisation, so are interested in HelpX for both the cultural exchanges and to be able to share our lifestyle with others while getting some help around the property.

We are looking for enthusiastic helpers for help with things around the property such as gardening, wood collecting, cleaning, painting, general maintenance and other tasks depending on the season.
In exchange for 4 hours work a day, 5 days a week we will provide you with all meals, but ask that you join in with the preparation, and accommodation in the funky little cabin with it's own veranda.

We will be happy to include you in our lifestyle, maybe you'll be there to go Friday night fishing on our ... more inside
