Hi there.
I'm looking for someone/couple to do some painting, housework, tidying the garden and other odd jobs.
I ask for 4 hours of work a day in exchange for accommodation and food. I eat quite a healthy diet and feel free to use the kitchen too (if you're that way inclined).
The house has amazing views over Opito Bay and is surrounded by native bush. Every night you will hear the kiwis.
You will have the use of a double bedroom and your own bathroom as well as a separate lounge area. If you are two single people there is another bedroom. There is also free wifi.
As we are 15 minutes out of Kerikeri town you will need your own transport.
In your spare time there are many tourist sights to see in the Bay of Islands; lovely sandy beaches and amazing walks.
Hope to meet you soon :)

Welcome! My name is Robert

I am hoping to find helpers to share and help create my home and garden.

I live in an old home in a quiet setting near the ocean, 7km to Waipu centre, which is 140km north of Auckland and 40km south of Whangarei.

I am very open-minded and respect all other diverse cultures and ways of life.

A huge backyard, with rural views, and lots of native bird life. 6 acres... Lots of space.
I enjoy the natural surroundings and "relish" in the garden.
Have a small vege patch and an abundance of fruit trees so the kitchen can be a little chaotic as fruit ripens. My best mate is Charlie (my dog).
I may not always have time to show you around, as I am usually busy working but you will enjoy the area`s natural beauty anyways.
There are wonderful beaches nearby ... I can sometimes give you a lift to town or the beach. The home is idyllically secluded so the space is as free as you want it to be. Nearby ... swimming, surfing, bushwalking, tramping, c... more inside

We live in Waipapa/Kerikeri on a rural, 4ha life-style property. We have cows, ducks, chickens and a large vegetable garden. There is separate 2 bedroom accommodation for guests.

The intercity bus stops in Kerikeri. Our property is 5km from State Highway 10. We will collect you from Kerikeri if necessary.

Help needed is varied: gardening, pruning trees, drain clearing, room painting and repair, building painting and repair, weed control, farm maintenance, fencing, chopping wood.
In return we will provide free accommodation and meals.

Most of our food comes off the property and we aim to be as sustainable as possible.

We live on a lifestyle block of 17 acres, just 10 minutes from Whangarei. We currently have 12 sheep, 12 cows and a collection of chickens. We would like some help in the garden and with pruning. There are 2 children, Jesse age 4 years and Elijah age 10 (disabled). Our expectation is that you would fit in with what needs to be done each day for approximately 4/5 hours. We would love to host a willing worker. Your own car would be helpful but we are in and out into town often so you will be able to get rides. You would have a single room in a 2 bedroom cottage shared with me.
Please no late sleepers!!

I am a 64 year old (male) accountant who lives with a 6 year old Cocker Spaniel (dog) called Maggie. We moved to live in Kerikeri at the end of March 2019.

We have a property that includes a 2 bedroom house and also a separate 1 bedroom flat that is rented to a permanent tenant. The property is a 10 - 15 minute walk to the Kerikeri town centre and the same to the Stone Store

The total size of the property is about 3,000 sq metres, on the side of a hill and looking across to another hill that has bush and gum trees - it is a beautiful setting if you like peace, quiet and vegetation.

I am looking for people to help me maintain our large garden, mainly planted out in trees and shrubs.

Helpers would stay in the spare double bedroom in my house which has a double bed so suitable for a single person or a couple.

Please note: not available from 22nd to 27th August.

Hi there. We live on an orchard 12 minutes north of Kerikeri, in the Bay of Islands, growing blueberries. We would love help in the orchard with off season chores, now that the picking season has finished.

We ask our helpers for 4 hours work a day, except Sundays, in exchange for accommodation and 3 meals a day. Please bring wet weather gear in case it rains. Free Wifi is also available. You will have your own separate accommodation, with a kitchen, lounge, bathroom and laundry.

We offer friendly hospitality, have travelled overseas ourselves, enjoy meeting people from other cultures and sport. We are a Christian family and do not work on Sundays, but ask for staying that day you please work 2 hours in exchange for accommodation and organise your own meals. Murray works on the orchard, and Sue teaches English.

Tena koutou katoa!
Hullo everyone!

#Warning# ;-)
We enjoy working hard and you will need to as well. We like to host people who are interested in our way of life. We do most things by hand, even if it takes a while sometimes!

We CURRENTLY have lots of fencing, tree planting, gardening, wood chopping.and some building work to do. We are looking for help through winter with gardening and turning trees into firewood.
There will be some orchard maintenance too as well as the usual stuff we try to do!
Experience with a chainsaw would be great, but not essential.

Cooking is on a wood stove, we have a solar panel, no machinery other than a chainsaw, no internet, cellphone reception is limited, no washing machine, no flush toilet. So be warned, it's not everyone's cup of tea! If that sounds okay, read on...
