Kia ora and hello!
Our home is in the middle of Honeymoon Valley surrounded by beautiful native bush. We built this house using mudbricks (local clay) and green roofs. I use a basic mix of permaculture & bio-dynamic principles with projects.
We'd like to host people who have some life and work experience and who can work independently. Please arrive on a Friday so we can get to know each other and work together over the weekend.

We have a workshop with basic tools and I collected recycled wood, bamboo etc. for creative carpentry.

Other activities are mowing, composting, chickens, chopping fire wood, preserving, making vinegar and beer, baking bread, propagating, seed collecting....

You help us every day for 4-5 hours/day, we exchange accommodation - your own room and bathroom - breakfast, sandwich lunch and cooked dinner, mostly organic, when possible with veggies & fruits fresh from our garden. If you need snack or a special diet food (e.g. gluten free) please bring t... more inside

We are a dairy farm with 250 cows.

We live 10 minutes from the nearest town Dargaville. In the area there is many things to see such as the Waipoua Forest, the Kai Iwi lakes, and our beautiful west coast beaches.

If you would like to experience kiwi life on a farm we are very happy to have you join us and work along side us. We enjoy showing others our way of life and we are sure you will learn a little about farming.

We would very much like someone to help feed calves and do a variety of farm jobs.

We have two children that live at home a 17 year old girl and a 15 year old boy who love to meet new people and learn about other cultures.

Your accommodation is a sleepout with bathroom facilities close to our house.

We love to have guests in our home and will make you very welcome and comfortable in exchange for helping us.

Having your own car is an advantage.

I am taking on helpers all year.
The helpers are asked to help four hours for every night they are staying here. Some of the helpers will have the opportunity to come with me on Saturdays to the markets and help me sell local produce and for this they will get a day off during the week.

I live on a 4ha orchard on which I am growing plums, strawberries, garlic, feijoas and also vegetables for the local market. So The helpers are assisting mainly with weeding, picking and pruning.

The work is mainly outside, sometimes it`s wet and it is important that you can bring wet weather gear. I will provide gumboots and gloves if needed. The work is in general quiet easy but can also be physical, so I need people That don`t mind getting their hands dirty. I am quiet happy to put your washing through the whashing machine with no charge.

Vegetarians are welcome here but sorry no vegans. I will supply you with all basic things you need for your breakfast, lunch or dinner. Also l... more inside

Greetings from Karen and critters.I am looking for help from early September for some spring projects...
Bending Tree is a small hobby farm with friendly animals, who like people, just arrive from different backgrounds.A peaceful place I have a few calves, sheep, lambs, ducks, chinese silkie hens, three legged cat who rules and the six donkeys all with different personalities and fun to be with. After volunteering in a donkey sanctuary in Ireland I decided to breed donkeys here in NZ in my retirement and I love it.If you have a good heart and enjoy animal company this is the place for you..
Maungaturoto is a small village with shops, two cafes and organic shop/cafe.It`s an easy walk or there are two bikes.
Waipu Cove and Mangawhai beaches are 20 minutes away. Also the wonderful glowworm caves within 30 minutes by car. Feel like a cool swim in small waterhole only 5 k away. With winter coming we have a warm cheerful fire to relax around...

I have fun animals to enjoy I am... more inside

The work will be mostly out door work like weed eating, garden maintenance and helping with the guests breakfasts as well a little general cleaning. Our preference is for single independant persons, but open to most combinations. Preferably well presented with an eye for detail and has a good command of the english language. Every Guest so far has been nothing short of lovely. It is a lot of fun.....
We are situated on the edge of the most historic area of NZ (cradle of the nation). Minutes away from a beautiful walk to Rainbow water falls and a few more minutes to town. Beaches etc. are within half an hours drive.
If you enjoy yoga then we go to weekly classes. We are also involved in an organic community gardens so we eat a lot of vegies. It is best you have your own transport and contribute to the cooking of meals. So you need to be able to whip up a tasty dish.

Based in Doubtless Bay we live on a 10 acre olive grove based in the Far North, NZ, which is only 5-10 minutes from some of the most stunning beaches in New Zealand (2 in the NZ top 10).

We are generally looking for help with mowing, pruning, spraying, landscaping, small building work and general maintenance around the property. There is also the odd babysitting on occasions as we also run our own media business as well as house work. All dependant on the time of year.

Currently need someone for outdoor work and small simple building projects.

We’ve a double bedroom available for a single or couple that are happy to share that opens out on to the main deck with views across the olive grove. Or we also have space for tents if that is your preference.

Meals and accommodation is provided and if you like animals we`ve three small dogs and two cats that make up the rest of the family.
