Kia ora helpers!
I have a space available from any time now to Wednesday 30th September.
My beautiful home is in the middle of Honeymoon Valley, very private, surrounded by native bush, birds and organic gardens. We built this house from local clay and built green roofs (gardens on the roof).

I need help with landscaping (mowing, brush-cutting, earth work), chopping fire wood, making compost, gardening, renovating (fixing things, basic carpentry, painting), sewing, cleaning, maintenance. I have chickens, bake bread, home-brew beer. When in season I make vinegar, preserve fruit, collect seeds.

The subtropical Far North of NZ is the 'birthplace' of New Zealand/Aotearoa, as we know it today and has significant historic sights and stories. We are 20 min drive from Taipa Beach, Doubtless Bay, 330 km North of Auckland.

I am part of the Honeymoon Valley land-care group. We protect native forest, birds, lizards and insects by trapping predators and eradicating invasive weeds. ... more inside

Hi Helpxers. Welcome to the Far North, an ideal place to begin your New Zealand experience by starting at the Northern most point of the country and systematically working south in a way that lets you see it all. Our property, a large multi purpose farm, is situated close to many of the Far North's beautiful east coast beaches, Kauri forests, ninety mile beach on the West Coast, less than a day's return visit to Cape Reinga, forty minutes drive from Paihia or Manganui, and fifteen minutes drive from Kerikeri. Tour buses to ninety mile beach, West Coast sand hills, the Kauri Kingdom and Cape Reinga can be boarded from Waipapa and Paihia (we can drive you to and pick you up from the tour buses Waipapa pick up stop.)
Apart from those more northerly attractions there are many beautiful walks around Kerikeri itself, and of course the local waterfalls and Kauri forest - all of which we are pleased to show you and take you to. Work here is 20 hours per week, normally four hours each mo... more inside

Hi,
we are looking for a helper/couple to stay with us late September through to November.
We are a family of 4 (kids are 9&11), semi home-schooling family.
Your role would be spending time with our 9 year old, who is currently home schooled. Work hours would be mainly in the morning as I will be doing some seasonal work and the other half works on the family farm. The afternoons are all yours to explore.
We are a busy family coming and going so you will need to be independent, flexible, fit well into a family setting and most importantly: enjoy spending time with kids!
Mr. 9 is an active boy who likes to learn new things and likes being involved. He loves reading, baking, riding his motor bike, playing the guitar. Miss 11 is at school during the day.

We live in a rural setting, big veg garden, 3 dogs, 1 pig, 2 guinea pigs. About 15 minutes out of Hikurangi towards the coast. Lots of opportunities for fishing, surfing, diving, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking...
If there a... more inside

We are looking for a couple to come and assist us.

We work and live on an Island in the Bay, of which we maintain. We also have 2 boys aged 6 and 4 who we homeschool and so we need some helping hands.

Every day is different so this position would suit a couple who were enthusiastic, hard working, enjoy spending time with children and flexible to help us with garden maintenance, general housekeeping, cleaning and child care.

We would be looking for 5hrs a day (Monday to Friday) with weekends off in exchange for accommodation (private sleepout with shared bathroom), food and numerous benefits. Minimum 3 weeks.

We live on an Island which is unique. A bird paradise with plenty to do on your down time e.g fishing, kayaking, walking all on your doorstep.

Having your own vehicle would be a huge advantage so you could explore other areas of Northland in your time off.

Hello Helpers,
My husband and I live in the magnificent Bay Of Islands, 15 minutes drive from Kerikeri township, shops and restaurants, so a car Is good for exploring or we can meet you from the bus.
We overlook the marina, have Kiwis in our garden and are 5 minutes walk to 2 beaches.

We need help with our large garden, cleaning, painting, window cleaning, building garden steps and general maintenance around our property.
We also have an old wooden yacht that always needs sanding, painting, varnishing and love.
You would also help at mealtimes and we would love to have you cook some of your favourite dishes.

We prefer people who eat most things.
You must be comfortable with dogs. Our dog loves walks and games.
In exchange for 4 hours work per day we offer meals, WiFi and a nice, king size bedroom, bathroom, and use of a separate lounge if you prefer some time to yourself occasionally.
We can be flexible with work times.
We prefer people aged over 25 who speak English... more inside
