***LOOKING FOR A COUPLE TO HELP US OVER THE FIRST TWO WEEKS IN JANUARY 2020***

WE ARE RENOVATING OUR BEDROOM AND SLEEPING IN THE SPARE ROOM SO WE CAN ONLY HOST PEOPLE IN THE ATTIC UNTIL THE WORK IS COMPLETED

-

We are a male couple in our 40's. We live in the rural area of Bombay, south of Auckland and at the start of the Waikato. We are close to the motorway, 45 minutes drive to Auckland and 1 hours drive to Hamilton.

Originally from Australia, we moved to NZ in 2008 and purchased a 100 year old wooden house set amongst approximately half a hectare of landscaped ornamental and edible gardens with 8 hectares of undulating grazing land dissected by various streams. We have a flock of chickens producing fresh eggs.

We both work full-time and have lots of jobs that need doing. These include ongoing garden maintenance, home renovation and improvement projects and land rehabilitation work such as fencing and planting. Anyone competent to help around the house/gar... more inside

Availability from 25 December 2019 on-wards :) Merry Christmas everyone!!
We are a couple living on a beautiful property in West Auckland New Zealand. We have built an awesome glamping setup to house travelers who are interested in staying with us and helping out in exchange for accommodation and food. We ask that each person work 4 hours per day for food and lodging. We are very flexible and you can work longer one day if you want to head out for a day etc. The glamping site has a large two room canvas tent on a timber deck and a separate toilet block with flush toilet, running hot and cold water and electricity. There is a fully functioning outdoor kitchen (with a shade sail over it to keep rain out). It is very comfortable with a king size bed, couch and fully equipped kitchen and beautiful northerly views over a forested gully. Lots of bird life and also plenty of peace and quiet :) It is only 20 minutes drive from Auckland CBD but feels like a lifetime away.

We are looking... more inside

Hello and Welcome to NZ,

(Dates I need a helper = from 28th Dec up for about a week.
Then from March onwards.)

I built this eco-house from earth bricks and natural timbers, because I wanted a healthy, relaxing environment.
It's on a 17 acre (6.7 hectare) paradise looking onto native bush, located in the Bombay Hills, about 60 km south of Auckland CBD and 12km from the bus stop or the nearest shop.

I've studied Organic Horticulture and grow our food that way, living a holistic, healthy lifestyle. There's avocado, lemon, lime, mandarin, banana, macadamia trees, as well as fresh vegetables and herbs.

Personally I eat an "O" blood type diet including meat, without grains and dairy, but I can buy them for you. Please tell me your food needs as I want you to be happy.

Mature helpers who speak English are welcome, so they can follow instructions and have enough life experience to see what needs to be done and tidy up as they go.

I expect 5 hours work a day, help with p... more inside

We are: Jasmine 40 and Sharyn who is 43. We enjoy a wide range of activities including: bushwalks, boating, art, playing board games, video games and much more. One of us smokes green daily for migraine/arthritis relief/fun and we smoke green inside. Sharyn is a dog groomer from home ( the bathroom ... kiwi styles ) and Jasmine stays home often and some days does volunteering.

Our home is small with 3 bedrooms. Our property is a lifestyle property with a lot of native bird life and a... more inside

Not looking for anyone at the moment, but towards the end of January 2020. We live in a beautiful traditional New Zealand villa in a lovely street of NZ homes. This is in Ponsonby, very close to central Auckland. There’s me and my 15-year old son, 3 cats, a dog and Airbnb visitors staying too. Our family has done lots of traveling ourselves and are looking to welcome foreign visitors for short stays in return for interesting conversation and help around the house and garden, including cooking and dog walking. Hope to hear from you, Nikki

Hello. We have a wonderful 10 acre lifestyle block close to the villages of Waimauku and Kumeu (wine country) in the north west part of Auckland, just 35 mins drive to the city outside of the rush hour and 20 mins drive to the beautiful Muriwai (surf/swim) beach, there are also a few forest walks and cycle ride options nearby.

I can pick up locally if you don`t have your own transport and we can discuss getting out and about during a stay if you`re happy to fit in with whatever plans we can make to help.
My workplace is located southeast of the city so it would also be possible for you to be dropped of and picked up correspondingly, to spend a day sightseeing or on other activities.

I have a cat and we keep a small flock of sheep and some chickens, I'll be adding to the livestock at some stage.
There is a “young” orchard, vegetable garden & general garden needing attention, as well as the wider property (and home if the weather isn't suitable to be outside).
Ideally I am ... more inside
