We are offering a 1 - 2 hours of casual work each day to travelling couples wishing to explore the area. We would like help from now. We would like you to stay at least one week.

If you have a tent of campervan, we will provide you with a site at the holiday park. A cabin may be available depending on availability and the dates you wish to come.

You must both be hard working and practical.
At the moment, we need help with cleaning the facilities and units and keeping the grounds tidy.

We are situated in the main street of town just across from the harbour. You have complimentary use of our kayaks to explore the estuary and inner harbour and the use of all the holiday park facilities. Whitianga is a lovely little town and good base from which to explore the rest of the Pensinsula.

I offer a majestic view; a basic fare of soup, fish and chips, roast chook, "stu"shimi and pizza burgers etc; with homemade beer.

In exchange I ask for 3hrs per day (9-12). You do not work on the day of your arrival or the day you leave (except to make the bed etc).

Behind my place is the mighty Coromandel Range so you can go walkies up the creek into the bush. Maybe use windsurfer boards as kayaks and just paddle around. Possibly cycle 4km to Waiomu and walk 1hr to Kauri Grove. Or just chill with the view.

Please Note: I have a mouse that lives in the house. You may also see the odd hedgehog, and waddling ducks sometimes appear in the lean to, scrounging for food. I have even had a possum run around the lounge and out an open window! Please don`t apply if any of these creatures offend your sensibilities.

Sometimes it takes me a while to respond, so please be patient as it could be 48 hours before I get back to you.

I live in a beautiful part of the Coromandel, near a small village called Kuaotunu which is only 5 minutes to some lovely beaches. My home is surrounded by bush with a beautiful stream going through it, that generates the power I need. I also have solar power and solar hot water heating.
We grow our own vegies and have cows and a cat and three gold fish.
The land has a hill that gives awesome views out to the ocean and lovely bush walks . One of the things we do is collect sea food to make yummy meals.
i have a self contained chalet, with a log fire. Some meals may be shared and for work...I ask a few hours each day. We do all sorts of jobs like gardening, building projects and what ever comes along. If you have a special skill that could help me in my home or property, let me know.... and of course socializing, conversation and music with a nice glass of wine, all in a relaxed way of life. If you are a happy, talkative type person feel free to get in touch:-) cheers tony

I have a nice house up the coast from Thames, 2 minutes from the beach, and near to great bush walks.

I am a lover of music, people and society, with a view to developing solutions to sustain happiness and create harmonious living, and enjoy hosting people.

I have traveled, wwoofed, and worked around NZ, and am happy to point you in the right direction on your journey through our gorgeous country.

There is a sleepout that has a double bed, good for a couple, and also a single room with a very comfy bed, the beach is very close, and there is a kayak here if you are welcome to borrow.

Most help needed will be light, some simple gardening, cleaning, and help with path building.

** Update : We have availability for this week and next week - arriving any day from Saturday onwards***

We are a young couple (from New Zealand and Germany) looking for help (either 1 x or 2 x people happy to share a room) with general landscaping (we are repairing the garden and orchard after the flood - so a green thumb would be practical!), and some light building work - experience would be great but we are also happy to teach new skills to repair the flood damage we had.

4-5 hours work each day in exchange you will have a warm, private sleepout with bathroom and kitchenette, 3 x meals a day (we love to cook) and right on the beach.

Go for hikes, use our kayak, go fishing - you can even bring your own kitesurfing gear.

We have travelled a lot ourselves, and have lived in Europe and Australia. We enjoy hosting, great music, wine and fantastic food.

Minimum stay : 3 days - own car not essential, we can pick you up from Thames or Auckland.

Location: Thames ... more inside
