I own a 15 acre lifestyle farm overlooking the sea at Kuaotunu on the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula. I have 7 Alpaca, 1 heifer, 2 miniature cattle, 1 cat and 1 dog. I would like help to care for the gardens, grounds, 2 glamping sites and animals. I offer accommodation in a small caravan and 3 good meals per day in return for 4-5 hours work per day that you are with me. If you wish to work a full 8 hour day and have a full day off, I will do my best to accommodate that.
The property has stunning close views of the sea and islands, a pa site (a high hill where there was once a fortified Maori village)and is about 10-15 minutes walk down to the beach. Kuaotunu village is very small but is in a beautiful location with a general store and a very cool rustic beach shack style pizza restaurant - Lukes Kitchen - which has excellent wood fired pizzas and other food and often has live music in the summer. There is also a fabulous cafe - Kua Kawhe with a great selection of food made on the ... more inside

Hello Help-Xers

This 40 acre bush block that I moved to just last October is on the western coast of the Coromandel Peninsula. It occupies a completely secluded valley surrounded by regenerating forest with beautiful views, bush walks and a lovely stream. The only sounds are from birds, the sea and the stream, (and currently lots of rain) yet a cafe and shops are 5 minutes away and Thames 15-20 minutes.

There is always something that needs doing and help is very much appreciated. There is ivy to remove, the gardens to tend, pines to fell and cut for firewood. There's building maintenance, painting, fruit trees to tend, constant clearing and cleaning of course and it would be great to get some renovations done. In the winter we work around the weather.

This would suit a single person, a couple or two friends - either with skills or simply energetic and keen to help while exploring the Coromandel. The network of Coromandel walking tracks and all Coromandel attractions ar... more inside

We are closed at the moment but will be needing help from the 1st October and helpers that can stay at least 1 month. We are an arts, music and sculptor cafe/restaurant/good food shop. Situated on beautiful Flaxmill Bay, we have the lot! We are open from 1st October til 30th April and are crazy busy in between so need lots of help and enthusiasm to ensure a good time is had by all. accommodation is in the house above the cafe. We ask for 4hrs work a day for 6 days a week in return for board and lodge & three meals a day, we close Mondays so everyone gets a day off. Work is mainly dish washing! haha and cleaning but you get to be in the beautiful Flaxmill bay. We make all our own bread, cakes, ice cream and PIES. Specialise in glorious Coromandel seafood and have an overall organic/good food ethos.

Hi All, we are a friendly family living in stunning little Tairua in the Coromandel Peninsula (recently moved from Paihia in 2016).

We need a hand with general family life as well as outdoor work, housework and perhaps some babysitting of young Hugh (8 years)and Sylvie (5 years). I also always appreciate someone who enjoys to cook!

We live in walking distance from the beach, and town so you'll be busy in your spare time.
In return we try to show you around the area and whenever possible get out and do some kayaking, bush walking, tennis, cycling etc.
Come and join our friendly family for a while!

Kia ora :)

*** Please read everything but here's the main info ***
We prefer 1 or 2 people with their own transport
We don't provide meals (but there is less work!) and ask that no meat is cooked in the cabin
There's no phone reception and limited electricity and internet, but there is a great cafe with wifi and reception 5 mins away at Kuaotunu village - Lukes Kitchen.

We're Mike, Amy & Jai and we've got a beautiful bit of land in Kuaotunu in a valley of native bush, with a private waterfall and kiwi nearby... it's paradise! We're also a short drive from the best beaches in the Coromandel, and we have a 28ft catamaran so there's a chance to go sailing as well.

We're offering free accommodation in return for helping out with gardening and building etc. We might need a bit of babysitting sometimes also but only if you have experience with kids. We ask for 2 hours of help per day or half a day's work then one day off... we're really flexible.

You will have your own p... more inside

**CURRENT PROJECTS as of 26/8/20**
-digging new raised beds
-Spring planting

We are two families sharing a beautiful piece of land in the Kauaeranga Valley 10 minutes drive from Thames, with stunning swimming holes nearby, and native bush walks and DOC camping 15 minutes further up the road. We are completely off-grid on solar power and we aim to grow quite a lot of our own food, following organic principles.

The land has been developed into a large mixed fruit orchard, newly planted olive grove, vegetable gardens, woodlots and paddocks - and the development is ongoing! It is also home to our three cows, flock of Muscovy ducks, dozen chickens and small dog, Kip. For most of the year we are self-sufficient for milk, fruit and vegetables, and eat our own organic beef through the year.

We are looking for people to come and work and live alongside us, in a variety of ways depending on the season and your skills. Work might include: vege garden management, fruit tree pruning, ... more inside

We are a restaurant situated in Cooks beach. We are happy to host helpers in return for support in the kitchen and around the house. It great to meet chefs and talented cooks from around the world and exchange skills and ideas.

Help out for average 4 - 5 hours a day for food (occasional beer and wine) and quality accommodation above the restaurant. We prefer a minimum two week stay.

We will have space for two people from the 24th Sept 2020
