Hi there. We are looking for help now for the summer season.

We are offering 1 - 2 hours of casual work
each day to travelling couples wishing to explore the area. We would like you to stay at least one week, preferably more if you can.

If you have a tent, van or campervan to sleep in, we will provide you with a site at the holiday park. A cabin may be available depending on availability and the dates you wish to come.

This may suit you if you are working in Whitianga over the summer season as we are flexible.

You must both be hard working and practical.
At the moment, we need help with cleaning the facilities and units and keeping the grounds tidy.

We are situated in the main street of town just across from the harbour.

You have complimentary use of our kayaks to explore the estuary and inner harbour and the use of all the holiday park facilities, including the swimming pool and bikes.

WiFi is available.

Whitianga is a lovely little town and good base ... more inside

Hello Help-Xer/s.

I have recently moved from the city to a 40 acre bush block beside the sea on the western coast of the Coromandel Peninsula. There is nothing here except a large home, some sheds, an old orchard, bush, birds and plenty of pines. All around there is only native forest and the sea. There are beautiful views and bush walks, a lovely stream and waterfall. There is also much to do to set up a new lifestyle and some help over this summer would make a big difference.

There's an immediate need to get a vege garden planted and pines to fell and cut for winter firewood. There's some maintenance painting, fruit trees to plant and some old ones to feed, there's constant clearing and cleaning of course and it would be great to get some renovations done.
An experienced tree-feller, carpenter or painter would be much appreciated, as would someone, a couple or two friends - simply energetic and keen to help while exploring or relaxing on the Coromandel.

I am a retired medical herbalist growing plants for medicine, 3 km north of Coromandel town, near Driving Creek Cafe; we have medicinal herbs growing all around the farm. The work is mostly farm work looking after chickens, collecting chicken poo for the gardens, preparing garden beds for herbs, digging out wild ginger and privet along the Whangarahi River, mowing the grass, and mulching fruit and nut trees. On rainy days we clean the house, or strain out herbal tinctures. Minimum stay 10 days.

We work 2 hours a day, 1 day a week time off. This is work in return for accomodation, you provide your own food, (there is a communal kitchen/caravan for cooking) and you can go offsite to neighbouring hosts for food. ie.one meal each day, eg. 2 hours work for Alison in return for dinner; Showers and laundry provided at Naomi`s house, there is a bicycle available to get to town, 3km away.

Please email and let me know when you`re available, age and nationality, and what ... more inside
