I'm a beekeeper in need of assistance, either with the bees directly or not. I'm located 16km South of Te Puke on a property that has a back boundary of native forest. I'm usually able to host people at any time of year, but am busiest in the spring. I currently have building projects happening, as well as lots of painting, waxing new bee frames, and also hands on beekeeping for anyone who is keen.

I also keep sheep and cattle on the property here, and hunt deer and pigs in the forest. These grass and forest fed animals form a large part of the menu here, so vegetarians probably won`t be happy with the diet. I cater to lots of herbivores and they all have hooves or paws.

The accommodation is a spare room in the house. The house is a late 1800s villa in need of replacement, but it keeps the weather out and I find it comfortable. Housework isn't high on my priority list, but we try to keep it liveable. Any clean freaks who have never been outside a sterile environment may hate i... more inside

Hi there - our HelpX have gained employment - happy for them but we now have a vacancy for a two friends or a couple perhaps. NOTE this does not entail working with the kiwifruit vines they are cared for by an orchard manager :-)

Hello to all you lovely travellers to and through our homeland :-)

You will be living with us, have your own room (queen-sized bed) and your meals with us. There is no bus service - how-ever on days off we are happy to take you to the bus services or negotiate transport.

We are willing to negotiate on work timetable so that we all have a good experience.

We are really enjoying the quieter, bird-filled environment.

Our To-Do List is moving along (but we still have improvements marked as a work in progress). Reroofing part of the shed, water-blasting and painting are on the list. While Roger continues upgrading the kitchen and plumbing have commenced.

Our Kiwifruit orchard is contacted our and is very small (by commercial standards - ... more inside

Hello, Kia ora and welcome!

We are on a beautiful remote wilderness bush property that has a stream running through it which then flows into a river at the front of the property. Its a very peaceful valley and to us it feels like paradise! We live off the grid and are learning self reliance in food in our journey to self sufficiency. We are situated a 55km drive from Opotiki/shops. Or a 2˝ hour drive via Motu Road from Gisborne (see below).

This lifestyle offers the chance to learn many aspects of getting back to basics as in hands on, and growing your own food. An idealistic position for couples or singles, especially those who plan ahead a little :) We require a 1 week minimum stay, 10 days or more is better.

We need your help now! All you need is an open mind, and be easy-going (like us and our neighbours), a good level of fitness, a willingness to give anything a go and happily work as a team or independently. Bring your skills and knowledge and we'll do our best in tas... more inside

Hi, I am now living in Katikati, I have a avocado orchard and beef cattle. I have recently purchased a new horse that needs to learn to trust people and to be schooled.

Living in a nice house with a large garden

Photos need to be updated as the photos are from my previous property

Please non smokers. Also if you do not intend to come and stay with me, please send a text or email. I have had two lots of people who told me that they were going to arrive and they did not turn up. Most annoying after cooking a nice roast chicken dinner.

I love to paint when I have time.

My gardens always need weeding

I also have horses that need riding and the horses also like to help with the stock work.

It would be great to have a nice person to help me on my
farm and enjoy my lovely home.

I enjoy cooking for my helpers and learning different ways of cooking from different cultures

I have wi fi on my farm, so visitors can be in contact with the world.

Kiaora, i'm a full-time student and need some help keeping up with housework, looking after the garden and lawns, and other odd jobs around the house in exchange for a room and food (negotiable).

The biggest requirement is that you MUST LIKE ANIMALS! I have a gorgeous mastiff-x dog and 2 cats who are my family so please don't contact me if you are allergic :-)

I have a 2 bedroom home with a relatively small section, the guest room has 2 single beds so ideally 2 friends travelling together would be great.

Rotorua provides an awesome central location for travelling within the north island and has plenty of outdoor and cultural activities.

We running an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and a pig. And we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us.
Oh man and we love to get to know different cultures and people.
We grow and eat our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider. The brewing season has started again and there's cider, wine and various beers to taste.
A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle.
You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at 7 am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry pig and the dogs (otherwise there's a lot of hungry noise around the house) and work starts at 7.45 am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the works... more inside
