Hi,

Quick edit, I can provide room & board for kiwifruit workers, either for money or part time work.

I`m a beekeeper in need of assistance, either with the bees directly or not. I`m located 16km South of Te Puke on a property that has a back boundary of native forest. I`m usually able to host people at any time of year, but am busiest in the spring. I currently have building projects happening, as well as lots of painting, waxing new bee frames, and also hands on beekeeping for anyone who is keen.

I also keep sheep and cattle on the property here, and hunt deer and pigs in the forest. These grass and forest fed animals form a large part of the menu here, so vegetarians probably won`t be happy with the diet. I cater to lots of herbivores and they all have hooves or paws.

The accommodation is a spare room in the house. The house is a late 1800`s villa in need of replacement, but it keeps the weather out and I find it comfortable. Housework isn`t high on my priority list,... more inside

The deal:
Work times vary greatly.

We expect 25 hours of work per week and are fairly flexible with how these are divided over the days and how many days off you have...

We prefer helpers to stay for 2 weeks, so we can get to know you and spend some quality time together, but will accept shorter or longer stays too :-)

Some of the jobs over the next months include:
- building a shower / bath room block
- removing blackberry from paddocks
- planting vegetable and herb gardens
- making compost and mulch/ wood chip
- weeding
- firewood
- and more...
We may also need help at markets or may take you to markets to hang out and enjoy them.

We love helpers to have a project to work on start to finish during your stay. We have some ideas of what we need (washing line, gate for chook run, chicken feeder) but you could come up with your own too!

In addition, helpers will be responsible for washing the dishes and may be asked to contribute to meal prep if we need a ha... more inside

We running an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle, a couple of pigs and some bee hives. And we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us.
Oh man and we love to get to know different cultures and people.
We grow and eat our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider. The brewing season has started again and there's cider, wine and various beers to taste.
We also finally started to make our own tea and we call it Lotzlong ;)
A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle.
You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at 7 am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry pigs and the dogs (otherwise there's a lot of hungry noise around the house... more inside

We have a comfortable and warm house where we have welcomed a few wonderful Helpex travelers in the past. We are a friendly, organic, international family with a 1 year old puppy.

We would like 1 or 2 people to stay with us for about a month to take our puppy on walks and shuttle the kids, ages 7 and 15 to school. It's easy work and we just need responsible travelers who are looking to experience beautiful Tauranga. We will all be away for a week and would love for you to take care of the puppy and our home during that time. The rest of the time we will be home.

Looking for a traveler that would like to stay about a month. Hubby is a vegan/ Italian/ Asian chef, so you'll be well fed for most of the time! He will be away for a week, when you're housesitting, but home the rest of the time. We look forward to hearing from you.

We need you to stay July 4th until July 26th. We are flexible if you want to stay longer. Send an email and connect with us.
