We are a rural dairy farm, that has 370 cows. Our house is a 6 bedroom large family home that has been recently done up. You have a choice out of picking a large double bedroom with a single bed or an other large bedroom with a queen bed. Our house is lovely and warm and have both a heat pump and fire. Also I've put an electric blanket in the queen size bed.

We are a young busy family of 5 and have two boys who at 6 and 4 and a baby girl. We also have a wee fox terrier dog called Tulip, along with 23 chickens who's eggs we sell to locals. We would love for you to come and experience quality New Zealand farm life with us.

We require 4 hours of help per day. If you have gardening and farming experience and don't mind helping with our children this is the right place for you. You must have your own transport though.

In return we are happy to host you and give you an evening meal and let you help yourself to our food for your lunch. We promise a comfy bed to sleep in. We have ... more inside

I'M LOOKING FOR TWO HELPERS, OR ONE MALE HELPER, FOR A WEEK IN MID JANUARY

I can offer about one week of work and adventure every month. Work for 20 hours or so and spend the rest of your time going off exploring Middle Earth.

Our home is close to the Ohakune Mountain Road that goes up Mount Ruapehu to hiking tracks, LOTR filming sites, and to Turoa ski field. The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is about one hour from here, (but you need a guide and alpine equipment in September). Mountain bike tracks, and canoe trips down the Whanganui River also start at Ohakune.

As I have got older, my legs and back have started to lose their former strength, so I appreciate young people coming to help me. I mainly need help with gardening - lawnmowing, digging garden beds, transplanting shrubs, planting flowers, weed spraying. I'm also making LOTR costumes: you can also help with those if you like.

I'm enjoy hiking around the slopes of Mt Ruapehu. I'm 77 and can't walk as far as I... more inside

Hello,

I am looking for help at my place which is on a farm just 8.7kms from Ohakune which is a small town at the base of Mount Ruapehu. The help I need is in the garden. 2-3 hours per day in return for food and accommodation. About my family - two children, age 6, who love to PLAY! We have two dogs and two cats (living outside) one horse and one pony. We normally have an Au Pair employed as well at various times throughout the year. Google Ohakune and see what a beautiful place it is. If you enjoy hiking, you will love Ohakune. I can help transport you to some of your hikes too! :) Your host is a lovely and easy going lady. Flexible days off, and you can manage your own time ie do a few more hours one day and have a couple of days off. Please feel free to message me if you would like more information.

***urgent! helping hands required*** just moved house! lots to do
are you heading to the tongariro crossing? we live a 30 minute drive from the start of the crossing... have some time to kill before your whanganui river journey? hello travelers! survivor kakahi is a little unconventional and may not suit everyone! we do not supply 5 star accommodation, BUT! we do supply respect, great conversation and lots of laughs, food is plentiful and delicious, and a cold beer at the end of a good day is highly likely.

we enjoy meeting new people and want to host people who have life/travel experience and a degree of maturity, prefer 30 and over. we have two young children, and we value our family time, but there are plenty of opportunities to practice english, converse and relax. we are both energetic and like to be around people with high energy levels and lots of enthusiasm.

ok, so if you are still interested, read on!

ideally we are looking for a handy person with their own camper... more inside

I am living in my own family home located close to the centre of Taupo within a short walking distance to the lake. I share my home with a flatmate who is working in the town.
As I have travelled extensively and with my son away at university I am looking to host like minded people who are fun and positive in their outlook to life.
I would require some odd jobbing around the home and some gardening help. Singles preferred.
My interests are mountain biking, skiing, trail running, swimming, sailing, kayaking & hiking... actually I enjoy all the activities that are on offer in this beautiful region.

I work from time to time as a guide in the South Island so email me to find out when I am at home.

During the summer months I am unavailable to host.

I am a very friendly hardworking person who has lived in the Bay of Islands for 25 years on a large property operating a holiday home.

I have recently shifted to a smaller property further North of Kerikeri, with smaller grounds & gardens and sea views.

I love to host vibrant and fun people keen to just muck in with every day tasks and help plan and execute any new ideas. You must be a dog friendly person and if you have any computer skills it is a real bonus! I usually have a list of tasks and you will have to be prepared to work on your own sometimes.
My preference is for mature people, wishing to stay for a maximum period of 1 week.

Just bring along a happy to help attitude is all you need at my place, because to me any help I receive is always greatly appreciated and I too have a "happy to help" attitude.

I speak English only, cook great meals and provide a good standard of accommodation.

I happily transport helpers to and from Kaeo & Kerikeri township and to v... more inside

We are a family with 2 children (aged 13 and 9), an obese cat and a small white fluffy dog. We have a room with a queen bed, and a room with a king single so either 2 single persons or a couple welcome. Accommodation in exchange for housesitting, feeding the obese cat, mowing a postage stamp sized lawn a couple of times, watering the garden and keeping on top of the weeds (not a big garden) and some chores done around the house (such as wiping ceilings and cleaning windows which are one off jobs) as well as the usual keeping bathrooms and living spaces clean while we are away from 20 December to approx. 20 January. We are super close to town (about a 5 minute walk), Spa Park, AC Baths etc and we have lovely views of the Waikato River, BBQ and a great deck for relaxing. This would suit travellers who wanted to use Taupo as a base to travel from or those wanting to have a base while they worked part-time in our local cafes or bars in the busy summer season. Must be responsible, m... more inside

We have a small lifestyle block with cows, sheep, a goat, hens and cats, and are a 25 minute drive from Taupo town centre with no public transport or shops near us. We are a closeknit family of 3 (mum & 2 girls) and are looking for a female that will help with gardening, landscaping, maintenance, thistle grubbing, dock removal, wood stacking, spring cleaning, household chores & cooking. Help with everyday things like dishes and meal preparation is expected - if you love to cook, we'd love to try it!

We are pretty relaxed, but hardworking and expect that you will join in as part of the family. You will have your own room with a double bed and we ask that this is kept tidy. This room has had the wallpaper stripped ready for repainting. It affects nothing but the look of the room, but we like to let people know.

In exchange for 4-5 hours work per day we will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner. We are pretty flexible with when you do your hours, and if you want to combine ho... more inside
