Looking for helpers from January

Come join our herd!!

Looking for one person to come and help work with our pony herd. We need to do some groundwork, and break in some ponies for 4 weeks or more. If you could stay any time from mid January that would be great.

We have a very special breed of pony 15 of them! - the Dartmoor pony are a moorland breed originating from Dartmoor, England. Incredibly tough, friendly and good with children standing at 11.2 - 12.2 hands. It would be great if you have experience handling and breaking in horses.

Someone who is willing to try new things and help out with daily chores around the house and farm.

Our pony stud is located on a 500 hectare slice of paradise, on a working sheep and beef farm.

Food and lodging provided in a family home. Flexibility for spending time exploring our beautiful New Zealand. We have a pool!

Half a day expected to be working with ponies then rest of day is yours to either enjoy farm life or explor... more inside

WE WOULD LIKE ONE OR TWO HELPERS, FOR ABOUT A WEEK, TO DO GARDENING Jan, Felicity. Feb, _ _ _ _? March _ _ _ _?

We can offer about one week of work and adventure every month. Work for 20 hours or so and spend the rest of your time going off exploring Middle Earth.

Our home is close to the Ohakune Mountain Road that goes up Mount Ruapehu to hiking tracks, mountain bike tracks, Lord of the Rings filming sites, and to Turoa ski field. The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is about one hour from here. You can have fun dressing up in my LOTR costumes here.

My wife is a nurse, and I am retired. My job is now gardening. As I have got older I appreciate help with digging, weeding, planting and trimming shrubs, lawn-mowing, etc. I'm also making LOTR costumes: you can also help with those if you like.

I enjoy hiking around the slopes of Mt Ruapehu. I'm 78 now and can't walk as far as I used to but I can guide you to some fascinating places.

I have been planting native shrubs ... more inside

Hi we are Brian and Verona - both kiwis - we like to get the tasks completed in the morning, adventures in the afternoon, as we love to relax and have a bit of quietness at the end of a busy day. If your interested in staying somewhere that feels like a home away from home one of our places could be right for you. We love hearing peoples travel stories from around the world and helping people discover NZ life and our beautiful country. We prefer non smokers at both our properties. Because there is limited public transport in Raetihi/Ohakune its best if you have your own car making sightseeing easier for you.

Summer: we would love some help with a few projects and are looking for people with handyman skills eg. sanding, painting, and building. We are also needing help with general gardening tasks and cutting wood. We may need help with airbnb cleaning & hospitality.

Arriving: Sometimes arrival days and times depend on what we are doing - please message to confirm if your d... more inside

Lifestyle block situated 15ks from Taupo township, with extensive planted grounds and garden. We are a retired couple who now require assistance keeping our large property in order. We are in a very peaceful country location with stunning views overlooking Lake Taupo and the mountains of the Tongariro National Park. We have travelled extensively overseas and often have international guests, as we enjoy hosting and talking to people from other countries.
Our preference is for mature, fit young people who are good workers and prepare to work for 4 hours each morning in return for good accommodation and hearty
meals. As our property is in the country, a car is necessary.

Hi,
we are needing a couple of helpers for a week or 2. We live 1/2 an hour from the famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing.
We are a family of 4, with 2 busy children aged 12 & 8, we live 10 minutes north of Turangi and 20 mins south of Taupo, on a 1/4 acre section with our friendly dog & cat.

We would love to offer our new insulated sleepout and small dinning area with fridge, hotplate, jug & toaster. Both are situated next to a bathroom that has a toilet, shower, washing machine & sink. You may have to share the bathroom with other travellers as we sometimes have guests staying in their motorhomes or camping.

We are needing some help with gardening, lawn mowing, removing scrub & branches, cutting and splitting of wood and tree pruning.(It would be ideal if you are able to use a scrub bar to clear some land, a drop saw to cut up wood & a lawn mower). Please be aware that most of our work will be outside in any weather but we can provide raincoats and gumboots if needed. Also ... more inside
