YOU MUST love dogs, there are 3 here, as well as a cat and an assortment of birds from a friendly goose (Lucy) to ducks and hens - all of whom will want to be your friends ;)

We need help at Easter 2019 between April 15th and April 25th 2019.

We are one of New Zealand's premier alpaca breeders and we export our livestock to the EU and Uk. We have 150 alpacas and work with our animals on a daily basis. A helper would be involved in halter training young alpacas ready for the show ring, care and maintenance of our paddocks, removal of manure from paddocks using a large vacuum cleaner towed behind quad bike. Fencing, thistle removal and general pasture maintenance. There are a variety of other jobs involving our four labrador dogs, chickens and our cats.
The helpers will have their own room with their own bathroom. They will be fed meals three times each day and will be included in the family home.
Why not come to lovely Hawkes Bay and enjoy the warm sunny climate on the east coast of the north island? Read our feedback from other helpx guests. We have had very happy exchanges.
Learn about these wonderful animals. Alpacas are easy to learn about and ... more inside

Possumbend is a lifestyle property just of state highway 2 within walking distance of morere hot springs reserve and about 20 minutes drive to the beaches of the mahia peninsula. The gisborne/wellington bus stops here twice daily.
After quite a few years being a wooffer/helper myself, I brought this property with the intention of growing my own fruit and vegetables, fishing and hunting. Its still a learning experience for me and there are a few things I can't grow but still enjoy (good coffee, wine etc).
Helpers work about 4 hours a day.At the moment its mainly gardening and some housework. Also, if you like cooking, i enjoy trying new recipes/meals etc. I prefer easy going people with a good sense of humour who are adventurous. Would suit a couple of friends or a single person who wants a break from the city.
I am a paddleboard instructor and also do volunteer shift work with St Johns ambulance service so need people who don't mind working independently on ocassion. In my sp... more inside

Hello beautiful people and welcome to our super cool 108yrs old homestead. She's a grand old lady on 4 hectares of land. We have a woodland which is home to some neat bird life. Occasionally we even seen a rare Kaarearea (NZ Falcon).

I am Toyah and he is my husband Greg. We are just doing our thing out here in the country side. We love contemporary art, world music, all the animals and learning how to live more sustainably.

We don't use any sprays in our garden and we try to find organic products for cleaning etc. Maybe you can teach us how to make some???

We really need your help! We're looking for 1 or 2 people. There are a variety of outside; gardening, lawn mowing,
Making compost, collecting pine cones, removing small BlackBerry bushes, collecting up the horse poo. You'll need to be at least a little fit. There will also be house chores so an eye for detail is always helpful! Perhaps we can find one person for outside work and another for house chores. Contact me if... more inside
