Welcome to Taranaki, with calving season just about to start, we would love to get some help from 20th of July onwards.

Hi, we are a farming family with 4 children:20 year old boy (moved out and lives and works on a different farm now),18 year old girl (just started as a building apprentice),17 year old boy and 16 year old girl, both still at school.
we are milking 175 crossbreed cows OAD (once a day) on a low input system. Our helpxer's are not required to milk the cows, but we are happy to show how it's done to you if you are interested.
We moved here from Switzerland in 2003 and speak English, Swiss and a mix of both =Swinglish ;o)
We would like to get some help with jobs on the farm and our runoff (a 30 ha block 10 min away where our young stock is) and in my big vegetable garden. If you like to cook, let me know I'm happy to have a break and enjoy your cooking. We eat our own meat, drink our own milk and have most vegetables from our garden. Usually our helpxer's get up... more inside

WINTER - 23 June 2020
We still have lots of seedlings to transplant for winter production. We also have maintenance & improvements on cattle yards, fences, shelter trees & our water systems. Harvesting continues along with livestock handling and carpentry. We require help with all of the above.

What I (Evan) really need is someone who can use Excel spreadsheets to help organise our garden production. I can help train someone already familiar. Mostly, I need data entry to organise seed and garden bed inventory as well as calculations of expected maturity / harvest dates.

Join us for meals overlooking the Tasman Sea after mornings tending the farm.

All the best for your travels in Aotearoa!

We're always looking for help raising and planting out seedlings, developing garden beds, working with water reticulation and meal preparation. We also need small signs and labels for garden plant names. We prune shelter trees and cultivate for compost and worm farms. We also have some... more inside

We are an off grid home on ten acres that we maintain as a bird sanctuary. we have many fruit trees and large vege gardens. Our two main projects are, we are building extra accommodation for retreats & then after that we are building a huge greenhouse to grow and supply our retreat guests with organic local food.
We require lots of help over the next year or two to get these big projects up and running. Building 2 outdoor kitchens, 2 camping style outdoor bathrooms. lining out new rooms and building shelving once they are done.
Erecting the 40x40m greenhouse will be heavy work.
We require sound building skills for the first stage of our projects, my husband will join a skilled builder to help him/her. Please contact us if you have skills we can use for what we have listed.
We're a fun young family happy to share our space. We have an amazing region in New Zealand to show you. We love to cook and eat really tasty nutritious Vegan food and love to show people around the fabul... more inside

We would like some help with riparian fencing and planting, gardening and general farm-work. There is a newly built one roomed cottage with 1 Queen and 1 single bed. Our property is about 7km from Inglewood and less than 30km from New Plymouth. We are happy to pick up from bus or airport Meals and accommodation in return for about 4 hours work per day.

recently leased my farm out but the leasor would probably welcome help especially in the spring calving time . Other than that there is plenty of work around my house to help with and fire wood to get in and gardens to tidy and trees to prune . I'm an open minded man and interested in all walks of life . I like to make sure it's a home away from home feeling for you .
