Is this you?
Would you like to spend Christmas and beyond on a small 2 acre lifestyle block with three pet kunekune pigs, about 20 plus chickens and a (mostly) friendly host?

Would you like to stay at the foot of one of New Zealand's most beautiful mountains?

Your help includes painting inside the house, planting bushes and generally helping me to beautify the lifestyle block.

Can you imagine enjoying interesting talks during meal times and watching the sunset and the beautiful Mount Taranaki and sitting around a warm wood fire rather than watching television and the internet?

Can you imagine getting to know three kunekune pigs much more as they stroll around the house looking for food and an opportunity to be patted and brushed by anyone who's around? Or watching free range chickens with their baby
chicks?

You'll receive good home cooked food from the friendly host and transport if you don't have your own to to the five km away Stratford which has various... more inside

Our property is right on the edge of the city, it is a 10 acre farmlet, and has lovely green paddocks, a small orchard, and a vegetable garden. We also operate a business from our home so helpers may be asked to wash cars as required.
We would like to offer a homestay experience for any travelers interested in visiting Taranaki. We have a lovely mountain, black sand beaches, and beautiful parks. I can give you a ride into town during the day if needed but you would need your own transport if you want to go out at night. We are not on a public transport route. Jobs that need doing are: burning up tree rubbish, chopping and stacking firewood, weeding the garden, trimming hedges, washing cars, outside painting. In exchange for 4 hours of work a day, you will get good healthy meals with meat and veges from the land, if you have special needs you may use the kitchen to prepare your own food. We have hens laying fresh eggs daily. Our home is nice and warm, please get in touch if you woul... more inside

A nice family home near the sea in New Plymouth. We welcome travelers who would like to help in the garden and do some housework or cooking plus walk our dog on the beach and be part of what we do each day. We enjoy sharing this part of the world with appreciative open minded people. I'm an ocean scientist and I travel a lot, and have two sons who are home during the university holidays. There is one other person living with us and one dog. Nearby the surf beach is pretty good and we have surfboards and bikes to loan. There is a spare room with two beds for helpers.

We have a 4 Ha block of land about 20 minute drive away. Helpers keen to plant trees, weed riparian areas, mend the fence etc are very welcome.

Approximately 5km out of Urenui. Arceage with paddock, orchards along a small river, running down to the beach of the Tasman sea.
This farm block is grazed by neighbor farmer cows.
House and workshop.
We are an active, resently retired couple, and would like extra hands with general maintenance of our home and property in exchange for a private room and meals and local knowledge.
Help is needed with:
*canning of produce during harvest,
*gardens and yard: weeding, mowing, turning vegetable beds.
*Basic building maintenance, (inside and out) I.e. Staining, painting, waterblasting.
Occasionally larger projects such as tree trimming, walkway development.
1/2 hour drive to New Plymouth. Area attractions: Mt. Taranaki National Park, White Cliff walkway, Surfing.
We enjoy learning about other parts of the world from our visitors and sharing our part of the country with them.
We have wifi, bikes, surfboards, kayak for use by our guests.

Hi :) we live on an acre in Brixton 10-15 minutes North East of New Plymouth, 10 minutes walk to the beach, close to a surf break. We are me, Sam and nine year old Bijou, our little dog and cat, five chickens and two ducks.

We've been doing work exchanges for a while now and it's always really interesting. Mostly its been awesome.

We live in a great place and offer a comfortable and social environment to stay in. We are currently (for the rest of 2019) living in a big shed..its all very functional but open plan living and at this stage you will stay in a big comfortable canvas tent. We ask for family time from 7pm.

The primary thing were looking for is a sweet exchange. One where we all leave feeling really happy..and pleased with having gotten to know one another.

Length of stay is anything from a couple of days to a few days depending on our compatibility and amount of work we have to offer.

The activities wed like help with are gardening, digging, general mainte... more inside

Welcome,

I have a tranquil lifestyle block available for approximately 1 week stays. The land is always in need of maintenance and development i.e. landscaping, weed eating, veggie garden, pruning, small handyman building projects and stone works. There are native bush, quaint waterfalls and picturesque scenery.

We are 'off the grid' with alternative power/water supplies, but with the convenience of wifi, offering vegetarian meals and laid back living.

Working Day: 5 hours a day (Includes 3 meals per day).

Unwind after a days work in our outside baths or relax in front of our funky fire pit.

We are situated 5km from the township of Urenui which consists of a local pub, cafe's, local convenience store, takeaways, gas station and numerous beaches all around. In less than half an hour you can be enjoying all the great things New Plymouth has to offer (beautiful Mount Taranaki, world famous Pukekura Park, the Coastal Walkway, Len Lye Art Gallery to name a few).

Lifestyle block, 6km from CBD and waterfront.
(Please note own transport would be useful as there is no public transport to our house.)

We are a family with 3 children.
We would like help with weeding and odd jobs such as general cleaning and cooking and maintenance jobs on property.

We have a spare bedroom with a Queensize bed and could put up a stretcher as well if necessary.

We live in an idyllic rural setting with distant sea views and views of Mt Taranaki. New Plymouth is a Surfer's Paradise and there is a small fun but challenging club skifield on mt Taranaki.
New Plymouth also has an active arts community and attracts world class Musical performances to the Bowl of Brooklands, a natural amphitheatre in Pukekura Park. There is a fantastic 8km walkway along the waterfront of the town and it has been voted to be the best town of its size to live in the world.
