Nestled up against the Pouakai ranges with birds' eye view of the coastline, our home has a bush backdrop with easy walking access to Egmont National Park while being only 15 minutes drive from New Plymouth.

Our house is located a 10 minute walk from the Mangorei Track, which leads to the tarns that reflect Mt Taranaki, the Pouakai crossing and the trail network beyond. (Note: the actual crossing is closed currently but you still can go on a lot of other awesome walks and get the famous photo all from our house.)

We have 10 acres of land, 6 of which is native bush continuous with the national park. We purchased this land 5 years ago and completed the hard work of converting it from a beef paddock to a lifestyle property complete with gardens, fences, windbreak and an orchard. Currently, we need help with weeding other outdoor garden work.

Our family includes two young boys (8 and nearly 5), a small dog (Sox) and a cat (Noche). Both my husband and myself have studie... more inside

We are John and Chris in our mid 70's but healthy, fit and young at heart. We are looking for helpers from end of April. We enjoy travelling and meeting people from different cultures.
John is a full time artist with a studio and gallery and I like to make art when I have time.
We grow most of our own fruit, vegetables, nuts and eggs.
We require help with cooking, a little bit of house cleaning, gardening and house maintenance while we are in our studios producing work for the Taranaki Arts trail.
Helpers have their own bedrooms and bathroom and will eat with us. We have a dog and a cat.
Our land borders the Mimi River mouth and sea where Helpxers can swim, surf, kayak and fish for recreation. The white Cliffs Walkway is 10 minutes drive away and New Plymouth is 25 minutes from here. Mt Taranaki is 50 minutes drive from here.
We welcome anyone who is keen to work approx 4 hours a day In exchange for comfortable accommodation and free wifi.
I am happy to pick up and drop ... more inside

Our property is right on the edge of the city, it is a 10 acre farmlet, and has lovely green paddocks, a small orchard, and a vegetable garden. We also operate a business from our home so helpers may be asked to wash cars as required.
We would like to offer a homestay experience for any travelers interested in visiting Taranaki. We have a lovely mountain, black sand beaches, and beautiful parks. I can give you a ride into town during the day if needed but you would need your own transport if you want to go out at night. We are not on a public transport route. Jobs that need doing are: chopping and stacking firewood, weeding the garden, trimming hedges, washing cars, outside painting. In exchange for 4 hours of work a day, you will get good healthy meals with meat and veges from the land, if you have special needs you may use the kitchen to prepare your own food. We have hens laying fresh eggs daily. Our home is nice and warm, please get in touch if you would like to come and stay f... more inside

Kai ora

We have 500ish seasonal fruit trees. We are after 3 hours help a day with pruning, weeding, mulching, harvesting, animal care and pest control, fencing, and other odd jobs that need done at the time. In return you will have your own room and bathroom, meals and the company of myself, my husband and our two energetic boys (4 and 2).

Our piece of Taradise has to offer glorious native bush to explore, fresh water crayfish, glow worms by night, outdoor bath, piano to play, cows, sheep, goats and fresh fruit. We are just 5mins from Onaero beach and Urenui township. We have two kayaks and bikes available to use. We attended the local crop swap and Playcentre.

We are aiming towards reducing waste, eating home kill meat, practice organic, and eating local/growing own produce. Raising our children is our number one priority.
We look forward to learning with our helpers on our life journey.

Hi :) we live on an acre in Brixton 10-15 minutes North East of New Plymouth, 10 minutes walk to the beach, close to a surf break. We are me, Sam and nine year old Bijou, our little dog and cat, five chickens and two ducks.

We've been doing work exchanges for a while now and it's always really interesting..with wonderful to mediocre experiences. Mostly its been awesome.

We live in a great place and offer a comfortable and social environment to stay in. We are currently (for the rest of 2019) living in a big shed..its all very functional but open plan living.

The primary thing we’re looking for is a sweet exchange. One where we all leave feeling really happy..and pleased with having gotten to know one another.

Length of stay is anything from a couple of days to a few days depending on our compatibility and amount of work we have to offer.

The activities we’d like help with are gardening, digging, stacking wood, general maintenance and/or some house work.

Our expect... more inside

UPDATE : We are looking for Helpex people. We prefer that people stay a minimum of four days . Most Helpexers end up staying with us for one or two weeks. We are flexible. It’s WAY better if you book ahead a few days ( or more!) because we can’t always take people with no ‘ notice’. We have one or two surfboards you can borrow ( but we are NOT surfers !)

I'm an artist with a home gallery . We have a large house, sleepout, pool and a huge FALE (pool house in the first photo) My husband works in I.T. and is a keen rugby player. Two of our sons (also rugby players ) live in Wellington. Pedro ( 21) is at university and Flynn( 23) is working. Dominic ( 25 ) is playing rugby in Ireland for two years atm. Our daughter Adair(19) is studying Dunedin. Emilia( 28) is working in Auckland. We also have two disobedient small dogs called Ted and Archie. I enjoy talking to fun people from all over the world and if you are just learning to speak English, we are happy t... more inside
