Welcome to Taranaki, we have room and time again. Please feel free to contact us.

Hi, we are a farming family with 4 children:20 year old boy (moved out and lives and works on a different farm now),18 year old girl (just started as a building apprentice),17 year old boy and 16 year old girl, both still at school.
we are milking 175 crossbreed cows OAD (once a day) on a low input system.
We moved here from Switzerland in 2003 and speak English, Swiss and a mix of both =Swinglish ;o)
We would like to get some help with jobs on the farm and our runoff (a 30 ha block 10 min away where our young stock is) and in my big vegetable garden. If you like to cook, let me know. We eat our own meat, drink our own milk and have most vegetables from our garden.
If you would like to see more of the everyday farming live, come and stay with us for a week (or longer if you like it here) in beautiful south Taranaki.

Sorry, our internet is very rural and limited, we can't offer free wifi.

Hi there.

We love our Helpexers and will definitely treat you like family while you are with us.

We need people for painting the house, minor repairs on furniture, gardening.....( just whatever you can do really! ) We prefer that people stay a minimum of a week . Most helpxers end up staying with us for one or two weeks. We are flexible. It’s WAY better if you BOOK AHEAD a few days (or more!) because we generally cannot take people with no ‘ notice’.
We have 32 year old Leandro ( from Brazil ) living with us full time at the moment. ( he works full time in town )

I'm a painter with a home art gallery . We have a large house, sleepout, pool and a huge FALE (pool house in the first photo) My husband works in I.T. and is a keen rugby player. Two of our sons (also rugby players ) live in Wellington. Pedro (21) is at university and Flynn(23) is working. Dominic (25) is playing rugby in Ireland for two years atm. Our daughter Adair(19) is study... more inside

OK, so we are a late fifties couple, with one cat and no kids, living on 18 acres of paradise just 6km from central New Plymouth, in the second best place in the World to visit, according to Lonely Planet.

We currently have cattle, chooks and bees. We plan to have sheep, as soon as we get some more fencing done.

Things that happen here are; caring for the chooks, collecting pine cones, moving the cattle daily, caring for the bees, making hay and silage, gardening to feed us, making jam, relish, and other preserves, cutting firewood, spraying weeds, extracting honey, and all sorts of other things that go into being as self sufficient as possible. All obviously dependent on the time of year and the weather.

Current, planned projects include a tunnel house for winter veggies, fencing along the driveway, replacing a barberry hedge with a better shelter belt and a lot of other things that happen each day in running a small block. All FUN.

A great attitude is the most important job requirement. Honest, clean and responsible would all come in a close second place. My wife and I mainly need a helping hand with gardening and housework. No skills required if you're willing to listen and follow instructions. Pretty simple right?

We have a large family home and grounds that needs a helping hand, 4-5 hours per day (20-25 hours per week), in exchange for the best time of your life! (meals and accommodation are a bonus on the fun:)

I'm an American and my wife is English. We look forward to exchanging and sharing our cultural differences. (wouldn't it be boring if we were all the same:) We have two small rescue dogs, Molly, 9 years, and a recent member of our family, Milly who is 7. We enjoy giving them a good life, as we do our 9 sheep and the many wild birds:) We encourage a positive 'can do' attitude and willingness to lend a hand without being asked. Start time is 10am, working in a stress free environment. We enc... more inside

We are an off grid home, working toward self sufficiency, we have many fruit trees and large vege gardens. we are building extra accommodation to share our piece of paradise with other people from all over the world. We have just hosted our first air bnb guests and have had a few wwoofers so far. We are building a huge greenhouse (on the flat land under the mountain in the photos) to grow and sell food and trees.
We require lots of help over the next year or two to get these big projects up and running. Building kitchens, bathrooms, lining out new rooms, building shelving, painting windows. Maintaining the grounds and trees in the orchards. Landscaping, fences, Erecting the 40x40m greenhouse will be heavy work. There's an old caravan that needs destroying and removing too.
We're a fun young family happy to share our space. We love to cook and eat really nutritious Vegan food and love to show people around the fabulous spots in our village, surf beaches, our mountain, gardens, sw... more inside

Currently running 3 horses, and 1 black cat on a small lifestyle block under the mountain with a soul (Mount Taranaki). We aim to get a couple of beefy and a few chickens soon.

We looking for helpers now to assist with things like cleaning up blackberry from hedges, fencing, planting shelter belt hedges, erecting raised gardens and composting systems, hay making, general gardening and horse care and riding if you want to so indulge.

1 person or a couple's help in exchange for sharing a warm house with a queen-size bed in your own bedroom with your own bathroom and unlimited wiFi.

The timeframe would be for a minimum of 2days. Food is negotiable depending on hours/days worked. We are not on any special diet here but will accommodate dietary needs within reason, we can discuss this. We are non-smoking but its ok outside.

Kia ora tatou,

We are a family with two kids (8 and 3) looking for people to help out around the place. Work can include gardening, tree planting, pruning fruit trees, childcare, mowing lawns, chopping wood, building, repairs and maintenance, housework etc.

We are a tri-lingual family speaking Te Reo Maori, swiss-german and English. If you speak Te Reo or swiss-german, that would be extra awesome.

We are into permaculture and climate justice activism, and are involved in Parihaka and marae around here.

We have a spare bedroom in our house or you can stay in your van/tent. We are mostly vegetarian. We live on SH45 - also known as Surf Highway for all its amazing surf breaks - a couple of kilometres north of Pungarehu.

We are not looking for people right now - but will be again in autumn 2020.

We are John and Chris in our mid 70's but healthy, fit and young at heart. We love meeting people from different cultures.
John is a full time artist with a studio and gallery.
We grow most of our own fruit, vegetables, nuts and eggs.
We require help with house painting, gardening, lawn mowing, weeding and general house cleaning from 27 January onwards. We have a dog and a cat.
Our land borders the Mimi River mouth and sea where Helpxers can swim, surf, kayak and fish for recreation. The white Cliffs Walkway is 10 minutes drive away, New Plymouth is a 25 minute drive and Mt Taranaki is 50 minutes drive from here.
We welcome anyone who is keen to work approx 4 hours a day in exchange for comfortable accommodation healthy meals and free wifi.
I am happy to pick up and drop off travellers from a bus or airport.
