I have spent the last two years restoring the house and taking her back to as she would have been when first built . The inside is nearly finished .The house is 10 minutes walk to the CBD and 5 minutes walk to the lake . I like my helpers to do the work in the mornings So they have the afternoons off to explore . I have back problems and need help In the gardens , painting weeding and other general household work . Nothing to hard or to stressful . For 2 hours work I provide a large private room and the use of the kitchen etc I am flexible so if you wanted the day off you could do extra work one day and have the next off . I like my helpx to stay a week or longer by negotiation. A warm welcome awaits you . Don`t worry if your English is limited. I Try to make the helpx feel this is there home away from h... more inside

Hi helpers, We are looking for 2-4 people to come for 10 days We live in the country, we are wanting help with some waterblasting, painting and general odd jobs, some painting or plastering experience would be an advantage. You would have your own room in our home. Our helpers usually work around 4 hours each day. (Some helpers have preferred to do a day and then take a day off to go tramping or explore the area, (completing the Tongariro crossing is a full day trip from Marton.) We are about 2-3 hours from Wellington, Hawkes Bay and Taranaki. We are pretty flexible about the work times. We have had lots of helpx and wwoofers stay over the past 5 years and really enjoyed all their company.
Please have a look at our profile and our previous helpers comments and E-mail or call us if you think you would suit or if you have any questions. Looking forward to meeting you.

Mangaweka has so much charm.
It is a little village by the Rangitikei River in the middle of the Lower North Island. And, just off SH1 is our 35 year old family business of running family rafting trips, 2 camping grounds and a licensed cafe. We need some season help.
At this time of the year, our location is primo for people interested in being near the Mt Ruapehu by day, and work for accommodation by night. You would help 5 nights a week and have the other 2 days to yourself for exploring or whatever.
Your 1 bedroom house has a double bed (great for couples) heating, kithchen, shower and toilet plus some wifi. We can supply bedding if you are in need. We would prefer couples that can stay at least 2 months, but more is best.
Experience in hospitality would be great, but really we are looking for friendly and quick learners that are not afraid of chatting with our guests and mutli tasking.
Other jobs can include:
= Housekeeping - cleaning campground loos and office
= Front of... more inside

We live in a quaint 3 bedroom house in the town of a rural area named Hunterville (50 mins north of Palmerston North and 50 south of Whanganui)!! Very central for visiting many of the middle/lower North Island tourist attractions; just over an hour to Mt Ruapehu, 2 hours to Taupo, 3 hours to Rotorua, 2 hours to Wellington, 3 hours to New Plymouth.

We have 2 acres, on which we have many pets; sheep, goats, miniature ponies, chickens, cat and dog. We also have 6 ponies/horses which live just down the road from us. We are a small family, just myself and my cute son Elliot, who is 2 and a half and Paisley who is 5 months. I also run a small business on the side Versatile Equines and Farmyard Friends, which is all about kids and animals - including pony rides. I also provide riding lessons for people of all ages.

I am a teacher at the local school, but on maternity leave for all of 2019. We are friendly, easy going people who love to share our home with guests. We have had 2 live i... more inside
