It is time to find some more helpers as I am missing my cultural experience and also have lots of jobs to do. Currently there is some moving of tools etc into a new shed and building shelves.

If you enjoy interacting with a Kiwi host, playing pictionary and having fun, then come join me for a week or even longer if things go well.

You need to be enthusiastic about working-lots of easy farm jobs, gardening, painting, waterblasting, the list goes on. I will match the jobs with your skills but also teach you new skills that are not too hard.
Projects to be done to personalise your experience.

My farm is 10kms off State Highway 1 towards Wellington, very easy to stop off on your way to the ferry!

I am middle aged woman who runs a 25ha farm with beef cattle and goats in a small rural village 30mins from Palmerston North in the North Island of New Zealand. My house is 1km away from the seaside which is good for fishing and swimming.

I work in the dairy industry from home s... more inside

We are a family of four (two small children 6 and 4) and we live on a lifestyle block in the beautiful Waiohine Valley. We like good food and fresh air. At the end of the road is an entrance to the Tararua Forest park for some great tramping, walking, mountain biking and a cool swing bridge across the river where there is great swimming. On our block we have a small herd of cattle and flock of sheep.
We are in the process of landscaping, developing an orchard, expanding our vegetable garden, and maintaining existing gardens.
We have a separate guest room with ensuite (shown in the photos). The accommodation best suits a couple. We are looking for guests to help with general farm routines (feeding out to cattle, stacking wood) and gardening (for an average of 4 hours per day) in exchange for food and accommodation.
We are 15 mins drive from Greytown and Carterton.
Non-smokers only please.
Please let us know if you have any special food requirements or allergies which might need... more inside

Kia Ora Koutou

We are YOUNG couple in our early 40s with four children aged 16, 14, 11 and 10. We manage a large sheep and cattle station on the Coast of the lower North Island with 20,000 stock units of sheep and beef cattle. Check out the station facebook page "owahanga station" for more information.

We are looking for helpers to come and stay with us and help out with farm tasks, gardening, farm maintenance and general tasks around the home. There is lots of variation in the types of jobs that we need help with and anyone with practical skills and experience would be super. Working with livestock does require skills and experience so sometimes it is not possible for helpers to work with the stock much but that is not always the case and at certain times of the year, there will be plenty of work with stock to do. However, there are plenty of other tasks to do like cutting and stacking wood, painting, weed spraying and the like if there isn't much happening with stock.

Hi there,
I am looking for people to help us do a variety of outdoor work especially pruning and taming a lot of overgrown bush.

Good experience in garden work is preferable so that you can undertake things independently.

We live in Otaki, which is 75km north of Wellington. It is a very peaceful town, with a strong Maori presence, a great beach and access to the Tararua National Park.

We have 3 kids so any guests need to be child friendly!

Guests have a separate sunny double room with great views and will be part of our family whilst they stay with us.

Look forward to hearing from you soon...

Martin
