Hi,

We have a lovely modern beach-side house to share in the spirit of the HelpX community.

There is one room (separate bathroom) available for a short/medium stay in return for help with cooking, housework, light gardening (weather dependent) and dog-walking tasks. All food is vegan/vegetarian.

The two beautiful (but energetic dogs) will always be willing to play.

Next available space is from Monday September 21st, thanks.

Your host,
Suz

WOULD LOVE SOME HELP NOW. :)

Here I am back again with helpx.
We are looking for help around our tiny vineyard and parklike garden with a wetlands and when the weather isnt nice there is plenty of cleaning up in our sheds!
I have had helpx and wooffers over many years and have loved the fun we have had. Many coming back and me travelling the world and catching up with some of them.

I have new accomadation for my helpers which would suit a couple or friends who don't mind sharing together a new "tiny home".

If you have chainsaw skills too that would be great!. :)

Hey guys,
No one ever has lived on this piece of land before we've purchased it and we developing the land from scratch, so you could call us pioneers ;)
The property is 20acres and half of it is covered with beautiful native bush with a huge variety of native trees like Totara, Kaekatea, Matai, Rimu to name a few. The other half is mostly pines (weeds!) we are taking out at the moment and replacing them with natives (half way there). We also going to establish an orchard (fruits, nuts etc) and veggie gardens (all organic!) and have to build many structures, mostly earth buildings.
There is a stream and a decent size waterfall on our land also. The water we using comes from our clean spring. We are totally off the grid, producing our own power. We`ve got showers and composting toilets in place.
So far it`s 5 of us on the land. My wife Ragna, our son Samson, our other son Maximilian, Hokee the cat and me, Alex :)
There are so many projects going on right now and we could need an... more inside

Come and stay with our family of 5 on our lifestyle block in the leafy suburb of Te Horo, on the Kapiti Coast. We moved back to NZ last year after travelling extensively for 19 years abroad.

There is work to do around the property helping with things like gardening, reloading firewood, clearing unwanted trees, picking fruit and lots of other things which go into keeping a property of this nature. It is largely manual labour and there is no need for childcare support as we have an Au Pair living with us as well.

Our house is 'active' and there's always plenty going on thanks to our 7yo (Isaac), 5yo (Yulisa) and 2yo (Ella), plus Milo our dog, Sugar our cat, 6 chickens and 2 cows :)

We got involved with Helpx because a) we need the help and b) we love to host people from abroad who are like minded and who share their experiences of traveling the world with us and our children. We're thrilled to be able to open our home and our family to travelers, many of whom are from countri... more inside

Hi travellers, welcome to NZ!
I found out about helpx from travellers overseas and thought I would try it.

I live on a sheep and beef farm 35 minutes east of Masterton, 5 minutes from Riversdale beach and 25 minutes from Castlepoint beach.

We are very busy on the farm at the moment raising baby calves so most of the work will be helping with the calf rearing. No experience is necessary.
My parents, who live 5 minutes drive away are also keen to have some help at their house.
I also have a farm stay glamping accommodation hut so the work would include helping to clean that when there are guests arriving.

We are relaxed and flexible. E.g: if you want to take a day off to check out Castlepoint or go to Martibirough to the vine yards we are more than happy for you to do that.

You will have your own room, food supplied, Internet and washing machine.
We can pick you up from Masterton.
We would hope you could stay for a minimum of 2 weeks and can leave any time.

I... more inside

Hi travellers,
Currently looking for help end of September for a week or two.
In exchange for your wonderful help, you will get to experience our very fortunate way of life and a view of NZ from inside a welcoming family.

If you are planning on staying in NZ for another year, We are looking for someone to help us mainly from February 2021 until December 2021. Also we can host you for shorter periods between now and then.
Jobs are easy. Maintaining the property. Helping round the house. Keeping the place warm tidy clean in winter, help in the garden in spring and with small pets all year round. If it is school holiday time, help with the children is needed if you like children.
We also take on Au pairs sometimes if you are interested in that kind of work.
Sometimes also a chance to help out at our farm which is in another town.

We are in the Wairarapa Wellington region. Nearest town is Masterton. Population 27,000. Close by are also three other towns. Our nearest c... more inside

We are situated in the picturesque Pohangina Valley on a 10 acres lifestyle block. This is about 25 kms (25 mins) from Palmerston North. We can arrange for you to be picked up from Palmerston North if you don't have your own transport.

Our home is next to a river which is great for swimming and fishing. Great place to be in summer. We are also close to several walks but you will need transport to get to them.

We mostly have a furry family consisting of 2 dogs (inside), 4 cats, 1 goat, sheep, cows, Sophie the calf, chickens and ducks.

You must like animals, as most of ours are pets and love attention. The dogs and cats are allowed inside and will sit in the couch.

There is a variety of things that we need help with, gardening, painting, firewood and general chores around the property. Included in this would be caring for the animals. Sophie the calf loves to be brushed as does Lulu the goat.

Helpers need to have some get up and go and be able to work alone. We... more inside

A small 5 acre block in early stages of being planted as a food forest and permaculture block. Very rural, on a gravel road, in a NZ drystock farming/forestry area. Help want with varied activities such as fence building, digging, making garden beds, creating compost heaps, working in potting nursery shed, planting trees and plants, mulching. Attending to care and feeding of a small herd of rescue animals including goats, sheep, chickens and ducks. Building animal pens and shelters. Maybe chopping and stacking firewood or just collecting pine cones. Opportunities to learn about permaculture as you work. I have recently broken my arm so would like help with other things like cooking and all chores.

We are sheep and beef, hill country farming 25 minutes east of Masterton in the Gladstone area in the Wairarapa. We farm 646 hectares and run 3900 sheep and up to 300 cattle. We have 3 children, Bella, 10, Sam, 8 and Sophia, 5. Richard is full-time working on the farm, whilst Becks is a mum firstly, but also works 2-3 days from home running her graphic design business. We are looking for people to help us around the house both inside and out as well as some light on farm work. Richard will try and explain what we`re doing on the farm at the time of year, give you a tour around the farm and where able involve you in some of the jobs when handling the animals. As mentioned we are 25 mins east of Masterton and only an hour and a half from Wellington. Accommodation is in with us, with a double bed (plus another mattress which can go on the floor). We'd prefer to host meat eaters as it can make meal times a bit easier for us, however its good to have a mixed diet nowadays!. We feel we`re... more inside
