Kia Ora,

I am looking for a person or a couple who have some gardening experience who know how to use a strimmer ( weed eater)to help me maintain a large amount of grassed garden and bushes. Weeding and pruning will also be needed as well as some gorse control. I am also hoping that this person (s)will help me install a new water collection tank on a hill above the house. Could be pretty hard for a few hours as we will need to use a wheel barrow to shift lots of sand and move the water tank into position.
If you are able to help me do these jobs and not put off by a bit of hard work, get in touch. I will be on holiday, so will work alongside you when I can.
Job would start on Sunday 29th September and finish on Saturday 5th October. Ideally you would arrive here on Saturday 28th. In return for 6 hours work per day we will provide you with your own room, three meals a day, drinks and access to wifi. We are a semi rural property, so having your own car would be good if you wa... more inside

We are a family of 5 - Aaron (lawyer), Sarah (Peanut Butter Exporter), Chloe (11), Molly (9) and Maggie (3), our labrador.

Everyone is sporty - from Aaron and Sarah's running to the girls' hockey, gymnastics and surf lifesaving. We have a 1.5acre property that is mostly native bush, 5 minutes walk from Plimmerton Beach and the train station to Wellington (train takes 25-30 mins).

We'd love to host you for 2 - 7 days, room and food included in exchange for a couple of hours work. It could be picking up the girls from school (next door), helping in the vege garden, walking the dog when we're out of time... there is a long and pretty easy list of jobs that can be done around here! We'd love to include you as part of family life, that could include going to the Hurricanes rugby match or whatever is happening in the girls' lives.

We've hosted 5 au pairs and several WWOOFers and we love sharing our home and meeting new people.

Hi Helpexers Winter in the Wairarapa and we have a cosy house and short sunny days in the garden to look forward to. We also have lots of inside jobs for colder and wetter days. Our small piece of paradise in the countryside is close to Wellington. We offer space for a couple ideally, sorry our place is not suitable for two friends travelling together. The work we have is mainly gardening. Our house and paddocks overlook the countryside and the Tararua range with excellent hiking. We are walking distance to the beautiful heritage village of Greytown (recently won the title of most beautiful village in NZ) with its cafes and shops. To get further than the village you will need a car or van as public transport is very limited. The Pinnacles and Rivendell (both featured in Lord of the Rings) are with one hour's drive. We are also a short drive from Mt Bruce with its Kiwi house and white Kiwi. We have two friendly dogs and a friendly cat. It`s a 55 minute drive to Wellington CBD and a ... more inside

We live in Otaki, one hour's drive north of Wellington in the Kapiti Coast. Five minutes from the beach, Otaki famous for outlet shops. Our cottage is on normal sized house property, in a semi rural area.
HELP, as we travel a lot our place needs to get up to standard, and if we can help other travellers by providing a nice place to stay, meals, shower, use fibrespeed internet and generally catch up on things, it would be great to swap this for four hours work daily. We enjoy meeting overseas visitors. This would entail gardening, easy painting, helping sort out sheds, etc. One of the four hours could be helping out at the local dog shelter where we volunteer. We so would love helpers. We came back from overseas last week and available from now. Cheers.

I am currently looking for somebody who can paint the box around my indoor fireplace. Its a small job. Youll learn from a carpenter, and Im happy to put these new skills in your reference.

I am generally sometimes looking for people who can help around the house from time to time. Do get in touch if you have experience building retaining walls. In return, you will have some of the most impressive views in New Zealand, a comfy furnished room, kitchen, bathroom and lounge for shared use. Food, towels, bedding will be provided. There are a dozen steps down to the entrance of the house. You can see more about the place via the two website links above.

I am pretty flexible with working hours. Some helpers loved the opportunity to have one day on, one off, which gave them full days to explore Wellington. You will also have three meals a day. There is free parking on the road.

You might find some tips here: https://beachhouse-overlooking-three-seas.co.nz/travel-tips/.

I am looking for a couple for 2 weeks, especially to do gardening, cleaning and maintenance work.

I have a charming, sunny, comfortable home with a lovely garden and a beautiful view over the harbour and mountains. It is very central, well connected to transport, with big parks and green belt very close.
I usually only have one bed available, so mostly take 1 person at a time - only occasionally can I take 2 people.
In return for two hours work in the house and garden per day, I will provide free accommodation and breakfast. I speak fluent Spanish and can help with someone learning English.
I have a sociable lifestyle with many friends, and helpers are welcome to join in on some dinners. But I do need Helpxers who are independent too, since there will be times when I am very busy and not around much. If you're good at cleaning, gardening and doing small repairs around the house, that would be great. And I love good food, so good cooks are always welcome!

Elderly couple on lovely property. Gardening and garden maintenance is our requirement of you. Ours is a rural property so it is very useful to have your own vehicle. We have semi forest gardens, orchards and potagers along with many acres of fields which farm horses and/or cattle.

The accomodation you are offered is suitable for a couple or friends or a small family unit. It comprises a privately situated, modern 2br gite situated in a barn - with chefs kitchen (appliances, crockery & utensils). The pantry contains cooking/bkfast basics. Has a separate bathroom, a large double and small single bedrooms.

You are expected to be independent and provide and cook your own meals; usually there is some produce available in the gardens, certainly a variety of herbs and greens. There are many food outlets in towns 10kms north and south of our farm. So provisions and takeaways!

There are some beautiful places and walks of interest in our locality: Otaki River Estuary, Otaki F... more inside

Hi... We have availability from end of August. The soil is starting to warm up so its time to get the vege garden ready for spring. Please get in touch if you would like to help us.

Paradise between the sea & the hills, in sunny Te Horo on the beautiful Kapiti Coast (see photo of Kapiti Island from Te Horo Beach).

We've built a comfortable place for you to stay (the purple cabin)... now come & help us get the rest of the property up to scratch.

We have cows, chooks, ducks & cats. Only small numbers and very easy to manage.

We grow as much food & meat as we can and enjoy a healthy outdoors life.

Come and help us with a few projects... always lots of weeding, gardens to maintain, paddocks to improve, and there are always jobs in the vege garden & orchards.

I regularly make bread & cheese, bake amazing scones and cakes and would like to share and learn from your culture.

We ask for five hours effort per day in return for staying at our place with great food, a w... more inside
