I am not taking on helpers until the end of the lockdown.
The helpers are asked to help four and a half hours for every night they are staying here. I am very flexible with this schedule if you want a day off during the week. Minimum stay is one week.

I live on a 4ha orchard on which I am growing plums, garlic, feijoas and also vegetables. So the helpers are assisting mainly with weeding, picking, pruning and help me to run my roadside shop.

The work is mainly outside, sometimes it`s wet and it is important that you can bring wet weather gear. I will provide gumboots and gloves if needed. The work is in general quiet easy but can also be physical, so I need people that don`t mind getting their hands dirty. The tasks vary depending on the time of year. I am quiet happy to put your washing through the washing machine with no charge.
I offer free Wifi. There is also the opportunity to use my tools for those helpers who want to outfit their car to a camper while in New Ze... more inside

Kia ora helpers!
Sorry to all visitors in Aotearoa - we are in lock-down now - stay safe!

Autumn is here.... so much fruit and stunning colours in the garden! Preserving, making vinegar and drying herbs....
Our beautiful home is in the middle of Honeymoon Valley, surrounded by native bush - remote and relaxingly quiet! We built this house with mud-bricks from local clay and we created roof gardens.

I live 20 min drive from Taipa, Doubtless Bay, 330 km North of Auckland. The subtropical Far North of NZ is the 'birthplace' of New Zealand/Aotearoa, as we know it today and has significant historic sights and stories.

I am part of a land-care group protecting our forest and native birds by trapping predators and we eradicate invasive plants to make room for native bush. We have no TV and limited WIFI. There is a river to swim in and lots of nature to explore. We have a piano, a guitar, and drums. We like music, singing, nature, films, literature and art.

I need help with... more inside
