The intercity bus stops in Kerikeri. Our property is 5km from State Highway 10. We will collect you from Kerikeri if necessary.

Help needed is varied: gardening, pruning trees, drain clearing, room painting and repair, building painting and repair, weed control, farm maintenance, fencing, chopping wood.

I am taking on helpers all year round.
The helpers are asked to help four and a half hours for every night they are staying here. I am very flexible with this schedule if you want a day off during the week. Minimum stay is one week.

I live on a 4ha orchard on which I am growing plums, garlic, feijoas and some vegetables. So the helpers are assisting mainly with weeding, picking, pruning and help me to look after my roadside stall.

The work is mainly outside, sometimes it`s wet and it is important that you can bring wet weather gear. I will provide gumboots and gloves if needed. The work is in general quiet easy but can also be physical, so I need people that don`t mind getting their hands dirty. The tasks vary depending on the time of year. I am quiet happy to put your washing through the washing machine with no charge.
I offer free, unlimited Wifi. There is also the opportunity to use my tools for those helpers who want to outfit their car to a camper while in New Ze... more inside

Kia ora.

I retired recently and moved to Haruru, 4km from Paihia and 20km from Kerikeri, surrounded by regenerating bush & mangrove inlet, it's private & very peaceful with lots of joyful tui. There is a small view of the bay with Russell in the distance.

The large property was very neglected. The house has now had much tender loving care and the self-contained downstairs area has been listed as a holiday rental but I still need help tidying up the grounds.

I find the 4 hours work/day in exchange for food & board works well and can be flexible about when the work is done ie if you want to accumulate hours to have a free day. There is no minimum timeframe to stay.

There is a bedroom for you, WiFi & a spare bike. Smoking outside only. If you don't have transport, I can pick you up from Paihia.

Northland is very beautiful, so much to see & do & so many lovely walks. The inlet is just at the end of the road.

I hosted farmstay helpers in Tolaga Bay for many year... more inside

Hi Helpers, We need help, NOW!
the boat comes out of the water on July 7th.
We need help with sanding, painting and cleaning.

My husband and I live in the magnificent Bay Of Islands, 15 minutes drive from Kerikeri township, shops and restaurants, so a car Is good for exploring or we can meet you from the bus.
We overlook the marina, have Kiwis in our garden and are a 5 minutes walk to 2 beaches.
We need help with our large garden, cleaning, painting, window cleaning, building garden steps and general maintenance around our property.
We also have an old wooden yacht that always needs sanding, painting, varnishing and love.
You would also help at mealtimes and we would love to have you cook some of your favourite dishes.
We prefer people who eat most things.
You must be comfortable with dogs. One of the jobs is to throw sticks for our dog, Mac and maybe take him to the beach. He loves to swim and paddleboard.
In exchange for 4 hours work per day we offer meals, WiFi and ... more inside

Kia ora helpers!
My beautiful private home is in the middle of Honeymoon Valley, surrounded by native bush - remote and quiet. We built this house from local clay and we created roof gardens. Located 20 min drive from Taipa, Doubtless Bay, 330 km North of Auckland. The subtropical Far North of NZ is the 'birthplace' of New Zealand/Aotearoa, as we know it today and has significant historic sights and stories.

I am part of the Honeymoon Valley land-care group. We protect native forest, birds, lizards and insects by trapping predators and eradicating invasive weeds. No dogs, no cats. You need to be independent and have some work/life experience. I have a day job at our local school, but afternoons and weekends we will spend time together. You also can go sightseeing any day during the week.

I need help with landscaping (mowing, brush-cutting, earth work), chopping fire wood, making compost, gardening, renovating (fixing things, basic carpentry, painting), sewing, cleaning, main... more inside

Work in the morning (2.5hrs), surf in the afternoon. We are looking for one or two happy helper to assist us mainly with housekeeping and general hostel work. Easy work, but would like to have someone with eye for detail.

Our lodge is a historic Kauri building situated right on the 90-Mile Beach at Shipwreck Bay, famous for its surf. We are a small backpacker lodge with 20 beds and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Our guests come here mainly for surfing and to visit Cape Reinga. If you are not into surfing, no problem, its a great place to hang out. The beach is right in front of the lodge, a fantastic place to chill.
Position available from 2nd of July for 2.5 weeks

Our home has a great location - panoramic sea views just by a sandy beach. It is a short beach walk (or 2 min drive) to Paihia wharf and cafes and the Russell ferry, while a 1 hr coastal walk leads to the port of Opua.
I welcome you to help in a range of gardening, property maintenance, and housework tasks - and right now I'd value help with some digital know how - about my Android phone and challenges with my MS Outlook email processes!
My preference is for two people travelling together who have good practical skills. Come for 4-5 days or longer.
I enjoy discussing timebanking and permaculture and I'm a passionate advocate for the value of zero waste as a doorway to building community and regenerating nature in my local area. Part of my life is spend on maintenance and development of a small food forest in my garden, part advocating for Zero Waste and Fair Trade, and part overseas using my skills for others. In recent years I have undertaken volunteer assignments in Pa... more inside

I am a lady farmer running our family farm which is an 80 hectare sheep and beef property, with horses.

We have a close country community with my sister and family living nearby, so guests can expect to experience New Zealand rural life. You will live as family in our home with your own bedroom and bathroom upstairs.

Duties will be varied and include cooking, housework gardening, help with the animals and general farm duties.

There are several horses to be cared for and exercised, if you are a very capable rider, as some of the horses are young.

This would suit 2 friends or a couple with their own transport.

This is not such a great place if you have allergies.

Because I have arthritis my mobility is somewhat limited.

We welcome self-motivated adults who will roll up their sleeves and enjoy the tasks. People who like to make a difference and are happy to socialise with us and our friends.
