Kia ora helpers!
I have a space available from any time now to Wednesday 30th September.
My beautiful home is in the middle of Honeymoon Valley, very private, surrounded by native bush, birds and organic gardens. We built this house from local clay and built green roofs (gardens on the roof).

I need help with landscaping (mowing, brush-cutting, earth work), chopping fire wood, making compost, gardening, renovating (fixing things, basic carpentry, painting), sewing, cleaning, maintenance. I have chickens, bake bread, home-brew beer. When in season I make vinegar, preserve fruit, collect seeds.

The subtropical Far North of NZ is the 'birthplace' of New Zealand/Aotearoa, as we know it today and has significant historic sights and stories. We are 20 min drive from Taipa Beach, Doubtless Bay, 330 km North of Auckland.

I am part of the Honeymoon Valley land-care group. We protect native forest, birds, lizards and insects by trapping predators and eradicating invasive weeds. ... more inside

Hi Helpxers. Welcome to the Far North, an ideal place to begin your New Zealand experience by starting at the Northern most point of the country and systematically working south in a way that lets you see it all. Our property, a large multi purpose farm, is situated close to many of the Far North's beautiful east coast beaches, Kauri forests, ninety mile beach on the West Coast, less than a day's return visit to Cape Reinga, forty minutes drive from Paihia or Manganui, and fifteen minutes drive from Kerikeri. Tour buses to ninety mile beach, West Coast sand hills, the Kauri Kingdom and Cape Reinga can be boarded from Waipapa and Paihia (we can drive you to and pick you up from the tour buses Waipapa pick up stop.)
Apart from those more northerly attractions there are many beautiful walks around Kerikeri itself, and of course the local waterfalls and Kauri forest - all of which we are pleased to show you and take you to. Work here is 20 hours per week, normally four hours each mo... more inside

We live in Waipapa/Kerikeri on a rural, 4ha life-style property. We have cows, ducks, chickens and a large vegetable garden. There is separate 2 bedroom accommodation for guests.

The intercity bus stops in Kerikeri. Our property is 5km from State Highway 10. We will collect you from Kerikeri if necessary.

Help needed is varied: gardening, pruning trees, drain clearing, room painting and repair, building painting and repair, weed control, farm maintenance, fencing, chopping wood.
In return we will provide free accommodation and meals.

Most of our food comes off the property and we aim to be as sustainable as possible.

Hello Helpers,
My husband and I live in the magnificent Bay Of Islands, 15 minutes drive from Kerikeri township, shops and restaurants, so a car Is good for exploring or we can meet you from the bus.
We overlook the marina, have Kiwis in our garden and are 5 minutes walk to 2 beaches.

We need help with our large garden, cleaning, painting, window cleaning, building garden steps and general maintenance around our property.
We also have an old wooden yacht that always needs sanding, painting, varnishing and love.
You would also help at mealtimes and we would love to have you cook some of your favourite dishes.

We prefer people who eat most things.
You must be comfortable with dogs. Our dog loves walks and games.
In exchange for 4 hours work per day we offer meals, WiFi and a nice, king size bedroom, bathroom, and use of a separate lounge if you prefer some time to yourself occasionally.
We can be flexible with work times.
We prefer people aged over 25 who speak English... more inside

Hi there,

I'd love a married couple (or a single guy for gardening and girl to do house cleaning) after September 28th, 2020

My name is Sue, and my husband, Brian and I live at Coopers beach on 3 acres of lawn, bush, a pond and many shrub and tree borders which all need continuous upkeep.

We are a meat and potatoes type couple. (But have rice and stir fries) when visitors offer to cook that way!!)
Food is very simple and healthy. I make all my own sourdough bread, kombucha and yoghurt, which you are welcome to try. We love the kombucha as its a healthy but fizzy and flavourful tea drink. And so do most of our visitors!

Coopers Beach is 30 minutes from Kaitaia and 50 minutes from Kerikeri. It is very picturesque. We're only a few minutes from Mangonui where there are lovely eating places and all essential services. There are buses to Coopers beach from Auckland which drop you just a couple of kilometers from our home. Intercity is the name of the bus company when ... more inside

We have 2 cats and 2 friendly dogs, many ducks, chickens, cows, pigs and beehives on the property.

We would love to have help with mowing lawns, collecting and sawing wood for winter, and some inside house and window cleaning.

Facilities include : bedroom in our house and linen, lounge, kitchen, bathroom, shower, laundry, phone, internet.

Food, fresh baked bread every day, and accommodation will be provided for 4 hours of work per day. The work includes: House cleaning, washing windows, weeding the garden, wood collecting and sawing for winter.
Length of stay : 1-5 days then negotiable after that.

I am taking on helpers all year round.
The helpers are asked to help four hours for every night they are staying here. I am very flexible with this schedule if you want a day off during the week. Minimum stay is one week.

I live on a 4ha orchard on which I am growing plums, garlic, feijoas and some vegetables. So the helpers are assisting mainly with weeding, picking, pruning.

The work is mainly outside, sometimes it`s wet and it is important that you can bring wet weather gear. I will provide gumboots and gloves if needed. The work is in general quiet easy but can also be physical, so I need people that don`t mind getting their hands dirty. The tasks vary depending on the time of year. I am quiet happy to put your washing through the washing machine with no charge.
I offer free, unlimited Wifi. There is also the opportunity to use my tools for those helpers who want to outfit their car to a camper while in New Zealand.

Vegetarians are welcome here. I will supply ... more inside

We are a young couple residing on a small lifestyle block with a few projects underway. Anybody with physical labour skills would be great but not a requirement. Work can consist of gardening, cleaning or general property maintenance. Stefan runs a honey business working with beehives so there may be some beekeeping work for anybody who is interested.

There is a spare bedroom in the house, otherwise optional accommodation is a bus fitted with a queen bed, two single beds and power.

We are located just minutes from the Ngawha Springs geothermal hot pools and a short drive to the Bay of Islands beaches. There is also a river and a swimming pool which are great to cool down on hot summer days.

Beautiful farm overlooking the Waima river. Three hours a day work in return for own bedroom and meals. Live as family, no fancy food here and some cooking and cleaning expected. Close to sand beaches, Waipoua forest and the giant Kauri trees. Nearest village 8kms. No smokers and must work under own initiative.

We prefer mature helpers over 30 please. Experienced horse rider required to ride out with me. Regenerating forests at the moment so may be asked to help with planting.

We have two dogs in the house plus one dog outside so it's important that you like dogs!
