Hi. I just recently joined " Helpx" Looking for motivated, willing, happy helpers as I have started many new, exiting projects: tracks, walkways to my native bush, adding extra accommodations, more gardens... On top of that working in my business plus all house work, sometime I will need someone to help me with my lovely Grandchildren... So there is plenty of fun for the right helper. Simply a bit too much for me. Welcome to join my own Subtropical Nature's Paradise, including Kiwi Birds, Tui, Glow Worms and many more... My intension is to appreciate, protect, re-create and respect the wonderful healing power of nature around us. Find peace and harmony with the nature and with each other. Healthy, stress less lifestyle is the key of our well being... We all have the choice how to live, not necessarily "Go with the Flow " Thanks God for the wonderful " Piece of Paradise" Right in the centre of World's Famous Attractions, beautiful Bay of Islands. Paihia, the hub of BOI. It is the... more inside

I am taking on helpers all year. At the moment we are selling our produce at the road side.
The helpers are asked to help four hours for every night they are staying here. I am very flexible with this scedule if you want a day off during the week. Some of the helpers will have the opportunity to come with me on Saturdays to the markets and help me sell my produce.

I live on a 4ha orchard on which I am growing plums, strawberries, garlic, feijoas and also vegetables for the local market. So the helpers are assisting mainly with weeding, picking and pruning.

The work is mainly outside, sometimes it`s wet and it is important that you can bring wet weather gear. I will provide gumboots and gloves if needed. The work is in general quiet easy but can also be physical, so I need people that don`t mind getting their hands dirty. I am quiet happy to put your washing through the washing machine with no charge.
There is also free Wifi.

Vegetarians are welcome here. I will ... more inside

The intercity bus stops in Kerikeri. Our property is 5km from State Highway 10. We will collect you from Kerikeri if necessary.

Help needed is varied: gardening, pruning trees, drain clearing, room painting and repair, building painting and repair, weed control, farm maintenance, fencing, chopping wood.

We are Maureen and Steve. We have a small hobby farm close to Whangaroa Harbour. We have a cat, chickens and sheep in addition to a large garden, a recently planted orchard and grounds that we are developing. We use sprays and chemicals sparingly. We are also caretakers of a magnificent bush remnant that we have started doing pest control in.

We are looking for helpers to do a variety of tasks on our small holding. These tasks would include working in our organic gardens, small building projects, landscaping, general maintenance work, caring for animals and pest control. Our preference is for couples or independent singles as you may often be working by yourself/ves. We prefer those who can stay for a week minimum.

We have just finished renovating 3 rustic ex Department of Conservation cabins to serve as very comfortable and welcoming accommodation with stunning views of our beautiful bush (see photo). In exchange for 4 hours of your time each day you get to stay in t... more inside

We are ceramic artists who live on our 1 hectare property about 20km inland from the beautiful Doubtless Bay area. We run our pottery business from home and look after our organic gardens, small orchard and numerous chickens.

We have traveled widely ourselves and hosted travelers for over 10 years with another organisation, so are interested in HelpX for both the cultural exchanges and to be able to share our lifestyle with others while getting some help around the property.

We are looking for enthusiastic helpers for help with things around the property such as gardening, wood collecting, cleaning, painting, general maintenance and other tasks depending on the season.
In exchange for 4 hours work a day, 5 days a week we will provide you with all meals, but ask that you join in with the preparation, and accommodation in the funky little cabin with it's own veranda.

We will be happy to include you in our lifestyle, maybe you'll be there to go Friday night fishing on our ... more inside

Endless Summer Lodge is looking for one happy helper to join the team.
The work is mainly housekeeping and general hostel work. Easy work, but would like to have someone with eye for detail. Our lodge is a historic Kauri building situated right on the 90-Mile Beach at Shipwreck Bay, famous for its surf. We are a small backpacker lodge with 20 beds and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Our guests come here mainly for surfing and to visit Cape Reinga. If you are not into surfing, no problem, its a great place to hang out.The beach is right in front of the lodge, a phantastic place to spent summer.
Work available from end of February

We've lived overseas for many years, including time in South America, Asia and the Middle East, and returned six years ago to start our 'off grid adventure'. Having 'internationalized' it's been time to put some roots down (literally) in a sustainable, creative and co-evolutionary way. These days we're a family of four (kids aged 3 and 6) and a friendly dog. We speak some Spanish and a little Japanese and would receive foreigners eagerly (also fellow NZers of course). We're one hour's drive from the nearest towns (Kaitaia and Kerikeri) although a small organic co-op is twenty-five minutes away. Neighbours include a Bee-Keeper and his family, artists, potters and homesteaders, some of whom are open to receiving helpers who may wish to spend more time in the area.
People wishing to learn about setting up off-grid so that they can do so themselves would be able to pick up valuable skills at our place. Because we are still building our home, accommodation and facilities are limited. H... more inside

Hi helpers - we had a sudden cancellation and now we have a room available Friday the 15th onwards - anyone keen to stay with us Honeymoon Valley? cheers Gerlinde and Christoph

Kia ora and hello!
Welcome to a 10 acre private home - in the middle of Honeymoon Valley, surrounded by native bush - remote and beautifully quiet! We built this house from local clay using in-situ mudbricks and green roofs.

Our home is 20 min drive from Taipa, Doubtless Bay, 330 km North of Auckland. The subtropical Far North of NZ is the 'birthplace' of New Zealand/Aotearoa, as we know it today and has significant historic sights and stories.

We are part of a landcare group that protects our forest and native birds by trapping predators and we eradicate invasive plants to make room for native bush. We have no TV and limited WIFI. There is a river to swim in and nature to explore. We have a piano, a guitar, and drums. We like music, singing, nature, films, literature and art.

Some activities ... more inside
