Tena koutou katoa!
Hullo everyone!

#Warning# ;-)
We enjoy working hard and you will need to as well. We like to host people who are interested in our way of life. We do most things by hand, even if it takes a while sometimes!

We live in a small forest with our children, animals, gardens and orchard. We grow most of our own food. Usually we have several goats, cows, horses, chickens and pigs. Our home is made from recycled and natural materials. It's small, simple and rugged like most things here.

My name is Amandine and my partner is Tyler. We are 37 and 34 years old. And we now have 2 energetic children; Rosalie (born in 2016) and Gabriel (born in 2019). I work at the hospital as a casual and at home I make cheese, look after kitchen pets and plant seeds compulsively. Tyler is a farrier and builds farm fences sometimes but our own farm and gardens are our main priority.

We always have a variety of work to keep you interested. At the moment there is lots of garden and... more inside

WE ARE PICKING SWEETCORN NOW

We are a family of four, 2 children aged 6 and 9, with a couple of friendly cats and dogs.
We are based 5 minutes south of Te Awamutu, only a short drive to Otorohanga, Waitomo, Raglan etc.
We have a self contained unit for 1-2 adults. We are offering a home cooked dinner each day, with full use of our kitchen/bathroom/family room/laundry etc. Wifi available!

Rearing calves from July - November, this keeps us quite busy, so a helping hand would be appreciated.

We could use a hand with anything from picking sweetcorn, gardening, painting, farm jobs, weed control etc.

Anybody is welcome

Our home has a great location - panoramic sea views just by a sandy beach. It is a short beach walk (or 2 min drive) to Paihia wharf and cafes and the Russell ferry, while a 1 hr coastal walk leads to the port of Opua.
I welcome you to help in a range of gardening, property maintenance, and housework tasks - and right now I'd value help with some digital know how - about my Android phone and challenges with my MS Outlook email processes!
My preference is for two people travelling together who have good practical skills. Come for 4-5 days or longer.
I enjoy discussing timebanking and permaculture and I'm a passionate advocate for the value of zero waste as a doorway to building community and regenerating nature in my local area. Part of my life is spend on maintenance and development of a small food forest in my garden, part advocating for Zero Waste and Fair Trade, and part overseas using my skills for others. In recent years I have undertaken volunteer assignments in Pa... more inside

I am taking on helpers all year round.
The helpers are asked to help four and a half hours for every night they are staying here. I am very flexible with this schedule if you want a day off during the week. Minimum stay is one week.

I live on a 4ha orchard on which I am growing plums, garlic, feijoas and also vegetables for the local market. So the helpers are assisting mainly with weeding, picking, pruning and help me to run my roadside shop.

The work is mainly outside, sometimes it`s wet and it is important that you can bring wet weather gear. I will provide gumboots and gloves if needed. The work is in general quiet easy but can also be physical, so I need people that don`t mind getting their hands dirty. The tasks vary depending on the time of year. I am quiet happy to put your washing through the washing machine with no charge.
I offer free Wifi. There is also the opportunity to use my tools for those helpers who want to outfit their car to a camper while in N... more inside

I live on an organic farm about 15km from Kerikeri. It's a short walk to Lake Manuwai which is great for swimming and kayaking. There are beautiful bushwalks close by, a canyon and the Kauri forest.
I am developing the property by planting a native forest, a vinyard, fruit and vegetables. For around 4 hours help mostly outside (weather dependent) you get good food and accommodation with your own room and bathroom.
I love eating good food, yoga, fishing, swimming, travelling, music and good company.

We are ceramic artists who live on our 1 hectare property about 20km inland from the beautiful Doubtless Bay area. We run our pottery business from home and look after our organic gardens, small orchard and numerous chickens.

We have traveled widely ourselves and hosted travelers for over 10 years with another organisation, so are interested in HelpX for both the cultural exchanges and to be able to share our lifestyle with others while getting some help around the property.

We are looking for enthusiastic helpers for help with things around the property such as gardening, wood collecting, cleaning, painting, general maintenance and other tasks depending on the season.
In exchange for 4 hours work a day, 5 days a week we will provide you with all meals, but ask that you join in with the preparation, and accommodation in the funky little cabin with it's own veranda.

We will be happy to include you in our lifestyle, maybe you'll be there to go Friday night fishing on our ... more inside

We are a newish lodge. The lodge is run by mostly myself. We would welcome some help with the lodge. The work will be mostly out door work like weed eating, garden maintenance and helping with the guests breakfasts as well a little general cleaning. Our preference is for single independant persons, but open to most combinations. Preferably well presented with an eye for detail and has a good command of the english language. Every Guest so far has been nothing short of lovely. It is a lot of fun.....
We are situated on the edge of the most historic area of NZ (cradle of the nation). Minutes away from a beautiful walk to Rainbow water falls and a few more minutes to town. Beaches etc. are within half an hours drive.
If you enjoy yoga then we go to weekly classes. We are also involved in an organic community gardens so we eat a lot of vegies. It is best you have your own transport and contribute to the cooking of meals. So you need to be able to whip up a tasty dish.
