Hello. We have a wonderful 10 acre lifestyle block close to the villages of Waimauku and Kumeu (wine country) in the north west part of Auckland, just 35 mins drive to the city outside of the rush hour and 20 mins drive to the beautiful Muriwai (surf/swim) beach, there are also a few forest walks and cycle ride options nearby.

I can pick up locally if you don`t have your own transport and we can discuss getting out and about during a stay if you`re happy to fit in with whatever plans we can make to help.
My workplace is located southeast of the city so it would also be possible for you to be dropped of and picked up correspondingly, to spend a day sightseeing or on other activities.

I have a cat and we keep a small flock of sheep and some chickens, I'll be adding to the livestock at some stage.
There is a “Young” orchard, vegetable garden & general garden needing attention, as well as the wider property (and home if the weather isn't suitable to be outside).
Ideally I am ... more inside

We have moved our operations to Sandspit on 20 November 2015 - under the new badge of Sandspit Lodge, a smaller property than Coatesville, but with four B&B rooms available within the main house. This 1 1/2 acre property contains 40 productive J5 and Koroneiki olive trees, some Grosso French lavender and Pacific Blue English lavender, ex Coatesville, as well as a lovely 3-tier orchard and loads of citrus trees.

The views over the Sandspit Harbour are simply stunning!

We are seeking one Helper to assist with the B&B activities and gardening over the winter season which is promising to be as busy as usual.

We are seeking the help of strong young Help-Xers now! Prefer someone who knows how to iron sheets!

Please be aware that there are smokers in our household, so if you have a strong aversion to smoking, please do not apply!

With fairly heavy bookings in the near future, we need help with the B&B. Mainly guest room maintenance, laundry, ironing, and associated ta... more inside

Charlies is a very busy and popular gelato shop. It is complemented by the surrounding 10 acres, which are planted in grapes, blueberries, oranges, feijoas and strawberries. You will be supplied with great coffee and some of the best gelato you have ever tasted.

We have a lovely recently renovated home with semi self contained accommodation. See pictures attached. It has a small kitchenette with a fridge, jug, toaster etc so you can have some independence. It also has a television and a network plug for internet, as well as WiFi.

We have fabulous vege gardens and eat really well. My husband is a very good cook.

We are looking for general work around the land, possibly some spring cleaning and painting. There is some flexibility with jobs depending on skill sets.

We are located close to lovely beaches and an hours drive from Auckland. We have a car you can borrow if you need transport.

We go down to Auckland regularly so we can give you lifts.

We live on a beautiful lifestyle block in Puhoi. We haven't had any Helpers over the very, very wet winter but we are ready again! The orchard and garden are out of control with weeds and other parts of the land in need of tidying. We would like help with weeding, spraying, cleaning, etc. In return for 4 hours work a day we offer a large, lovely room, wifi and meals - oh and of course our company! It is ideal if you are wanting to convert a car to a camper - we have had lots of helpers do that here. We have horses, two cats, chickens and sheep. Our property is approximately a 35 minute (45km) drive from Auckland city. A car is needed so that you can tour around and visit the beautiful beaches and scenery in the area as the nearest public transport is more than 15km away. Our property is 3kms (up a big hill!) from the local village and a very characteristic pub. We have a teenage daughter at home and one away at university. We work Monday to Friday so you will need to be abl... more inside

Hi there,
Thanks for checking out our listing.

A little bit about us...

We are a family of 5 living the dream on a beautiful park-like equestrian property 25mins Nor-West of the Auckland CBD. Our kids are twin boys aged 16 and a girl aged 13. We have a very busy lifestlye with 6 horses, 5 sheep, 4 chooks, a cat and a dog.
We live in a large new house that I designed (I am an architect and my husband has a roofing company).
We are hoping to host an enthusiastic, self-motivated, health focused, friendly and active person. We would like to host someone who integrates well with our family and is fun to have around. No smokers or drug users. We love to travel and spend time with locals when we are away, so now we hope to be able to offer the same to other travelers.
In exchange for 4 hours work per day we will provide luxury accommodation, yummy food, and hopefully a fun and memorable stay.
We don't have good cellphone coverage at our house, but a text message will get thro... more inside

We are developing our land using permaculture principles.

Since shifting into a new home 16 months ago we have been enjoying developing the land for sustainable living. We have an orchard of 78 fruit trees and berries, productive vegetable beds, 13 Heritage chickens for eggs, 6 sheep and we harvest our own honey from our flowhive. We are establishing our shelter belt, a wood lot and a native grove along the Kaukapakapa river that flows past our property.

Our home has been featured in the news if you would like to read more: https://www.stuff.co.nz/life-style/homed/houses/100447372/future-proofing-two-couples-new-build-designed-for-multigenerational-living

Projects in progress include building 2 garden beds, planting a bank of native plants, some small building projects, shed work, land and home maintenance.

We would enjoy having a couple work with us to complete some of our projects in early April 2019. Carpentry skills would be an asset.
