We live on a (potentially!) beautiful property on Waiheke Island. We care about the environment and aspire towards more sustainable living, minimising waste, treasuring the resources of food, water, soil and clean air that are so easily taken for granted. We are a small and quite international community, including retired people and younger people in full time jobs. We are looking for help in an ongoing project of ecological restoration on a steep slope on the property, including removal of invasive weeds and building terraces using a permaculture approach, as well as general garden maintenance. We would like a helper or two for 2 weeks (or longer by mutual arrangement) to put in 2.5 hours a day, 5 days a week. We provide accommodation and some basic food staples and garden produce as available - we sometimes cook and eat communally but people are free to cook for themselves if they prefer. This is a non-smoking property, and for the sake of good relations with our neighbours, we we... more inside

Hi, we have a large house and rambling garden plus small orchard. Both of these require some love and attention. Also jobs around the house keep coming up. Lots of jobs to do including house-keeping, homemaking....teach me piano?...what skills you can bring?

We love meeting interesting new people, we offer a room with an ensuite, have wireless internet, use of the spa pool, yoga mats, use of the house & gardens.

We are 100 meters from Enclosure bay, which is safe & ideal for swimming & fishing or Palm Beach is a 20 minute walk away.

We prefer self-motivated people for this helpx, sometimes we are away during the day and you will need to be independent. Share meals or cook your own. We can meet you at the ferry. The local bus service that connects to the ferry and local small township is good & is a 7min walk away. Will suit friendly person(s) who likes to have a chat.
We prefer "travellers" rather than "tourists". If you can't take a break from social networking at time... more inside

Looking for help with building and landscaping.
Currently some landscaping experience would be really helpful.
This property has been a labour of love since its purchase 2015 and has been renovated over the last years. It is a very unusual 7sided house. Especially outside is a work in progress, inside is now comfortable and rather lovely.

The property has fast internet. The accommodation is comfortable, good mattresses, great shower ... and the food is healthy.

Waiheke is simply a really lovely place. Lots of beaches close, walking tracks, cafs, restaurants and wineries. Main village Oneroa 2km, bus 500m.

Manda is a practical and professional person who appreciate living consciously and actively, loves nature and healthy food.

Work and stay with us (Dan, Becs, Noah is 8 years old and Nikita is 7 years old) on Waiheke Island. We have an olive orchard and large range of fruit trees and 8 chickens. The house is only 24 months old so we still need to finish landscaping and planting our garden. Our goal is to live off the land as much as possible and have a year round garden. Work activities would include, landscaping, planting, weeding, composting, cleaning, cooking and maybe baby sitting.

We are currently looking for a couple to do some olive picking and some childcare from this Friday the 3rd of May.
