At home I live with my two busy boys aged 6 and 9.

I own and operate a coffee and ice cream cart on the Picton foreshore and attend Marlborough events.

I ask for help in the ice cream cart (during summer months) and with tasks such as fruit picking and preparation, cleaning, gardening, dog walking, child minding. I am currently painting a new house and preparing the floors for vanishing. So any help with this would also be appreciated.

The helpx expectations are the usual 4 hrs help a day over 6 days per week in exchange for food and accomodation or 2 hours for accomodation only. I am flexible with the length of stay but prefer 1 week minimum.

The accommodation is a sleepout alongside our house which has a double bed. There is a heater for use during the colder months. The facilities are shared in the main house.

Located in central Blenheim. We live walking distance to town and close to the bus stop and Isite. So a great base to explore the Marlborough region or se... more inside

Hi

We are heading into the joys of spring and summer and are looking for all sorts of help. We are a small lodge with a restaurant and bar in the middle of the Pelorus Sounds. The help required is varied, and weather dependent, so we are looking for people who are flexible and who don't mind trying new things. Examples of what helpers have done so far, are things like helping with visiting tourists, helping in the restaurant, and housekeeping, upgrading the paths, landscaping, and improving some of the facilities. The rewards are many. The location is perfect if you enjoy hiking, fishing, kayaking, or swimming. We have seen orca and dolphin in our bay as well as rather beautiful stingray. There is also a lot of birdlife. It is just a beautiful and remote part of the world. You have to see it to fully appreciate it. If you are interested in helping any time from October on, please message me, but please note because we live in a place that is off grid with no roads ( access on... more inside

On the east coast there is always lots of sun. The view is stunning.
We are in a great position- 1 hour from Picton and the Marlborough sounds, 2.5 hrs from Nelson and 1.5 hr to Nelson Lakes. We are 3.5 hours from Christchurch and 1 hour from Kaikoura.
We have 400 Olive trees in 2 groves and 150 hazelnut trees.
We host the Molesworth Tours once or twice a month for lunch and a tour around the grove. In return for good food and a comfortable room, we would love some gardening, harvesting, and general farm maintenance work to be done, hours would be flexible.
In March we harvest the nuts and in May/June/July we harvest the olives. In between times the... more inside

Hi
We have a 400 hectare Sheep, Beef and Cropping farm in Marlborough. We have two young boys and need an extra pair of hands from time to time to help on the farm, round the garden or child minding.
We prefer one person or a couple as we only have one spare room in the house. Also you must be able to speak good English and be able to drive a manual (not automatic) vehicle.
We always need help with feeding pet lambs, lambing, tailing lambs (alot of lifting) cattle work, sheep shearing, firewood and fencing. We love it if you can bake and cook too :)

We are a family living on a decent size lifestyle block in the heart of the vineyards in Blenheim, Marlborough. Although it is a rural property we are still only 7 minutes drive from town, making it a fantastic location for those who want to experience and work in the more rural area of Marlborough but also be able to access local amenities/ shops and bars. We are looking for someone to stay with us preferably for a minimum week at a time on the standard Helpx basis (food and accommodation for 4 hours work per day)for help working the extensive grounds, gardens and vegetable gardens, some building and maintenance/repair work around the property and helping looking after/ walk the 2 super friendly pooches. There would also be work available inside the house cleaning and cooking etc. We can be flexible with hours if you would rather work full days to have other days off this can be arranged. As you will see from the photos the property is a pretty lovely place to stay with lots of out... more inside

*** Helper/s needed now September, Thanks for your interest ***

Hi there! We have a large modern house 70 metres from the beach in Anakiwa and 30 mins by road from Picton. There are kayaks here, excellent bush walks and a beautiful relaxed seaside environment.

Our family regularly hosts young volunteers (wwoofers/helpers/interns) from our international visitors. You are treated like a member of our family, you live within our private household, share your background and experience our daily life in New Zealand.

As with family members, there are no formal contracts or payment, your input is fully voluntary and you are free to depart at any time. Volunteers normally help out for 3-4 hrs per day with the afternoons/evenings free to relax.

Tasks are typically gardening, house cleaning, laundry, helping with meals (vegetarians welcome, but sorry we are not vegetarian!) and generally assisting around the property with misc tasks that suit your talents.

You will get invol... more inside

12 August - We are currently looking for help in the garden, staining a fence and splitting firewood with a machine.

General Info...
We run a small farm made up of a vineyard, with livestock including red deer, cattle and sheep. We are only 10 minutes by car to the town of Blenheim (pop 30,000). We are a family of 4 with 8 and 10 yr old boys. They love spending time with our HelpXers, so you must enjoy children.

There are many jobs available from fencing, pulling down old fences, painting, firewood, gardening, and general tidy up of the farm. - tell us what your skills are and we might find something that suits.. building, welding etc.. We would never expect anyone to do any jobs they don't feel comfortable doing.

You will stay in a self contained flat, with kitchen, own bathroom, living and queen bedroom at the end of our house.

We find it works well, having couples or 2 friends that are travelling together stay.

Usually we would appreciate 2-3 hours work (p... more inside

Private house and garden: was a mini backpackers for over 20 years, during which my late wife and I hosted over 3500 guests from 60 countries. I no longer take paying guests but still like to have company occasionally. Minimal work required in exchange for accommodation in self contained flat. Meals not normally provided but there is a well equipped kitchen.

Technologically challenged, I have failed to display more photographs because they display upside down or on their side and I've given up. Perhaps someone can explain how it should be done :-)

I have recently bought this business and am quite heavily booked the whole time.
I am looking for someone to help me with running the BnB which would be mainly bedmaking, cleaning, washing and sometimes a little gardening. This position is suitable for one person.

I offer 3 meals a day, your own bathroom and usual amenities.

I have a friendly dog, so a dog friendly person only please. I am happy to help with your English and would be grateful if you could help me with my computer ie putting photos on my website etc. I need help now.

Picton is a lovely little seaside town with lots of bush walks close by. The town is about a 3 minute walk from the house.

Give me a call.
