"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye." - The little prince

Dear friends,

The property, the small flower farm is located 20 minutes from town (Blenheim) surrounded by vineyards in a beautiful Marlborough valley and within one of the main wine growing areas and is close to areas of Marlborough Sounds and Nelson Lakes.

The house has a sunny veranda overlooking small creek in quiet peaceful surroundings. I share the house with two small dogs, a cat, a kitten and there are 2 little cows on the property.

As an international air hostess based in Europe I have traveled many beautiful countries. I have taught story telling, yoga and have practiced various holistic therapies to many students and clients in the UK.

I have studied arts, fashion, interior/graphic design at University. I'm a qualified artist-healer and am an energist, I work with energy which is LOVE. My passion is creative & expressive arts, I make arts to... more inside

This is a place where I'm restoring natural wetlands, establishing a young pine nut orchard and tending a planted forest. Accommodation (but not food) provided in a comfortable hut with fireplace, cold running water, solar lighting, solar power, gas cooking, solar shower and a long drop/outside toilet.

No pets. Good mobile coverage. Nearest supermarket and petrol station in Renwick 9km away. Need own transport. Host lives 13 km away across the Wairau River.

Currently with Covid 19 Level 4 lockdown requires everybody to "stay local" and not travel around the country. Any helper/s will need to be based at the property for the reminder of the Level 4 lockdown. if you are not willing to do this, then please don't contact me.

The host will need to keep 2m distance at all times when showing the hut and the physical exchange work.

I CURRENTLY HAVE HELPX FOR THE LOCKDOWN AND CAN'T TAKE ANYONE ELSE..
At home I live with my two busy boys aged 6 and 9. We are an active family and enjoy tramping, biking and getting out in nature.

I own and operate a coffee and ice cream cart on the Picton foreshore and attend Marlborough events.

I ask for help in the ice cream cart (during summer months) and with tasks such as fruit picking and preparation, cleaning, gardening, dog walking and child minding.

The helpx expectations are the usual 4 hrs help a day over 6 days per week in exchange for food and accomodation or 2 hours for accomodation only. I am flexible with the length of stay but prefer 1 week minimum.

The accommodation is a comfortable caravan alongside our house which has power and wifi. There is a a full size double bed and a heater for use during the colder months. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are shared in the main house.

Located in central Blenheim. We live walking distance to town a... more inside

Looking for interesting people that don`t mind helping out with gardening, painting, renovation work, or whatever is going on at the time! We are late 20s / early 30s people in a residential house in Blenheim that need occasional help with landscaping and renovation projects. Especially helpful are people with painting, building and cabinet making skills. We enjoy sharing good food and drink and meeting new people.

Almond orchard, fig grove, sheep, milking goats, turkeys, chooks and house pets. We have a home orchard and vege garden. Our place is next to the Wairau River and is 2km from the Pacific Ocean. Kayaks, bikes & boogie boards for use. Work is varied according to seasonal requirements. We sell our almond products and fresh figs at farmer's markets and health food shops. We expect 4 - 5 hours of work in return for accommodation and food. A good sense of humour is an advantage! Minimum stay of 1 week preferred. We've hosted wwoofers since 1993 so are used to the general concept of Helpx.Looking forward to your call.

* Difficult times it seems. Our current helpers are staying put so we don't have any spare beds. Very sorry I'd love to help all you lost helpers out, all the best with finding a spot *
Accommodation is in the “blueberry cottage,' a self-contained flat that is part of the packhouse across the lawn from our house. It has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen/dining room, computer and wifi, plus there's accommodation in the caravan.I stock the kitchen with good ingredients and between those and the orchard/gardens you assemble your own breakfast. We start at 830 and work for four hours. I make lunch at the house for everyone, and the afternoons are your own. I'll keep the larder stocked with whatever food you like, we don't eat much meat but can supply it, mostly you'll make your own dinners but when time and energy allows it we have dinner together at the house. We have bikes for your use and are surrounded by wineries, or there's always the hammock for a nap...Warning we do have i... more inside

Sorry we are not taking any helpers at this time.

Hi there! We have a large modern house 70 metres from the beach in Anakiwa and 30 mins by road from Picton. There are kayaks here, excellent bush walks and a beautiful relaxed seaside environment.

Our kiwi family regularly hosts young volunteers (wwoofers/helpers/interns) from our international visitors. You are treated like a member of our family, you live within our private household, share your background and experience our daily life in New Zealand.

As with family members, there are no formal contracts or payment, your input is fully voluntary and you are free to depart at any time. Volunteers normally help out for 3-4 hrs per day with the afternoons/evenings free to relax.

Tasks are typically gardening, house cleaning, laundry, helping with meals (vegetarians welcome, but sorry we are not vegetarian!) and generally assisting around the property with misc tasks that suit your talents.

You will get involved in o... more inside

Sorry we are booked out for the next month!
We are in the outer Pelorus sounds, boat access only, 2 1/2 hours from Elaine bay(French pass road, turn off at Rai valley)
We eat a lot of seafood and locally caught wild game and try to grow our own veges(not very well this winter). There is limited phone coverage, and we use solar power. Love of the remote quiet life is essential. We are not fully organic as Wakatahuri has been and to a limited extent still is a boat building bay with a working slip way.
The permanent residents in the bay are:
Gavin (4th generation owner of the land), fisherman and boat builder, tabletennis player and the boss
Natalie, chief cook and bottle washer, gardener, hunter, butcher and worker organiser and vague cleaner
Ruby the dog, wild goat and cattle chaser, food hoover
Doris and Smurfette the girl sheep, Rowlock (girl lamb), Scupper, Pig and Sid(boy lambs).
6 chickens Gertrude, Lilac, Apricot, JC, Penny, Dotty and some new babies. Curious George... more inside

Sorry we can not have people to stay during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Gardening in Waikawa, Picton and explore the Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand.

We are a couple with cat and dog who moved to Waikawa, Marlborough Sounds in 2015. We have a 36 foot launch and love to get away to explore the Marlborough Sounds.

The Marlborough Sounds in summer is warm and in winter is lovely, no wind and generally perfect days. Come and explore the Marlborough Sounds with free accommodation (your own room and separate bathroom) and food. We are a few minutes walk from Waikawa Bay and have a bike for your use.

We are planting natives in an area in Waikawa and need help doing this. The work involved is weeding, cutting back and planting natives. The work is physical and you will need to use gardening tools and your muscles. Our preferred length of stay is a week with 4-5 hours work per day, 5 days per week. House work may be an option if its raining hard.

The photos include some from bef... more inside
