Private house and garden: was a mini backpackers for over 20 years, during which my late wife and I hosted over 3500 guests from 60 countries. I no longer take paying guests but still like to have company occasionally. Minimal work required, c two hours a day in garden or house, in exchange for accommodation in self contained flat.
Two bedrooms, shower, laundry and kitchen.
Meals not normally provided but the kitchen is well equipped. My only helper to date, and i took it in turns to prepare the evening meals It was good fun

Blueberry harvest has started! We've got an opening for a single for the week 16th-23rd Dec and also the week starting 30th Dec if you're a nimble fingered person interested in how a family run organic orchard goes.
Accommodation is in the “blueberry cottage,' a self-contained flat that is part of the packhouse across the lawn from our house. It has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen/dining room, computer and wifi, plus there's accommodation in the caravan.I stock the kitchen with good ingredients and between those and the orchard/gardens you assemble your own breakfast. We start at 830 and work for four hours. I make lunch at the house for everyone, and the afternoons are your own. I'll keep the larder stocked with whatever food you like, we don't eat much meat but can supply it, mostly you'll make your own dinners but when time and energy allows it we have dinner together at the house. We have bikes for your use and are surrounded by wineries, or there's always the hammock for... more inside

I'll be looking for helpers VERY EARLY IN THE NEW YEAR.

In return for 4 hours work a day I offer you accommodation and all meals in a sunny, warm home where you will have your own bedroom (queen size bed) and own bathroom with the added privacy of being in a separate wing of my house. My sunny home sits atop a hill from which you will have a magnificent view of the township of Blenheim to Cook Strait and the hills of the North Island beyond.

Of course if you would prefer to work a full day in order to have a day off in which you could explore the nearby Marlborough Sounds, cycle the wine trails, or walk or climb on any of the formed tracks in this area, that would be just fine.

My 40ha property is a sheep farm most of which is leased. I tend a large garden and care for the drive and tracks, drainage and irrigation and deal with fallen trees. It is situated in the midst of vineyards in the Brancott Valley 13 km from Blenheim (pop 25,000) which contests the annual sunshin... more inside

Hi
We have a 400 hectare Sheep, Beef and Cropping farm in Marlborough. We have two young boys and need an extra pair of hands from time to time to help on the farm, round the garden or child minding.
We prefer one person or a couple as we only have one spare room in the house. Also you must be able to speak good English and be able to drive a manual (not automatic) vehicle.
We always need help with feeding pet lambs, lambing, tailing lambs (alot of lifting) cattle work, sheep shearing, firewood and fencing. We love it if you can bake and cook too :)

Hello from the Marlborough Sounds!
We now require help starting 25th January.
This is a small boutique accommodation lodge located on the popular Queen Charlotte Track. Full occupancy is just 10 people. Last season we had two French couples and a Canadian here for 3 and 4 months each. Originally they came for a week but loved it so much they made it home for months -(see latest testimonials). We need help with daily lodge cleaning, laundry, evening food service, gardening and grounds maintenance for 4 hours a day. This position would ideally suit a single person or couple. We will help you explore this wonderful area. If you like living by the sea, hiking, kayaking, swimming and fishing, this is a good place to come. We can also give you access to mountain bikes and kayaks for some adventures. You can drive to this lodge if you have a car, otherwise we organise boat transport. See our website link above for more about us and the property.
See you soon at Magic Mahana!

Looking for help 18/12 through to Jan.

This is a small dog kennel and cattery. Your day would typically start at 6am to help me in the kennels. Main duties exercising dogs, cleaning kennels, cleaning the cattery, playing with cats, bit of property maintenance at times. I breed German shepherds so there maybe puppies to help out with. You have your own self contained sleep out. This is wwoofing 3 meals and accommodation in exchange for 4-5 hours help per day.
