Kia ora.
Welcome to a great New Zealand cafe.
For volunteers;
We are a hard working and fun loving couple and are looking for the same. We need helping hands in the cafe and with our accommodation (The Boot) and in our large organic gardens. Sometimes there are art and natural building projects as well.
Practical hands are always welcome, bring your energy and enthusiasm.
There is separate accommodation for a couple.
Close to the beach and enroute to the Able Tasman.
We appreciate at least 3 days notice before we have helpers to stay and will reply to your enquiries within 2 days.
There is a no bus service to Tasman, the nearest bus depot is Motueka, 10 km away. We can arrange to pick you up from here if necessary . It is easier if you have your own transport.
Kind regards,
Judy and Steve.

Kia ora,

Come and be our Helpxer and enjoy a wonderful sunny location with a spectacular sea view. Just 7km from central Nelson, it is a very popular region for travellers with access to the Abel Tasman National Park just over an hour away.
You can ride the bicycle trail into town which takes about 20 minutes or else there is a bus stop not far away or even better if you have your own transport. We designed and built our home, constructed from Adobe Earth Bricks, a sustainable eco method of building using local materials such as clay and straw, it keeps everyone cool on the hot days and warm and dry on the coldest. Mostly, there is just the two of us and our cat Baxter. We both work so mid to end of week starts are usually our preference for up to one week Helpxing or more if it suits. We ask 4 hours per day but are flexible for longer days and then take a day or two off to explore our beautiful region. We have a few projects on the go such as internal adobe wall plastering, r... more inside

Hi, my name is Jeroen. I own a small property on the hills above Nelson, with beautiful views of the mountains and haven, and 15 minutes walk to the city centre or 30 mins to the beach. I am working on terracing the land, planting fruit trees, berry bushes, herbs, vegetable and native trees. I'm aiming to create a sustainable permaculture way of life close to the city. It's still early days and there is lots to do.

The house has all day sun, and a deck and outdoor seating. The garden is being developed. We're in our 20's and 30's, friendly, and open minded, love the outdoors, meeting people from different countries, sharing music, good healthy food and a few beers or wines. I work full time in environmental conservation. We enjoy hiking, mountain biking, surfing, guitar, rock climbing and swimming on our time off. You're welcome to join us on your time off if it works out!

Help is needed in landscaping, weeding and watering in the garden, mulching, and planting fruit trees, b... more inside
