We need help with digging, shovelling, pulling weeds, getting firewood, and cleaning when it is too wet outside. We like people who are interested in and willing to cope with our life style and can work without close supervision.

Hi. My name is Steve.I am nurse who works in Westport and I live in a house at a beautiful beach in Hector (37 km north of Westport near Granity). Accommodation is in the house with a queen size double bed in the house. The house is a comfortable open plan with good living space and a big garden and native bush backdrop. My house is right at the beach where we often see Hector's dolphins swimming up to 20 meters from the coast. If you're lucky you can find Pounamu (green stone / jade) here and because it is on the beach you can keep it and turn in a jewel for yourself. I can use helpers year round for gardening, general household maintenance, painting etc. I Will provide accomodation, meals and snacks in exchange for four hours help a day, plus help with the dishes. There are a lot of things to do and see around Hector. The start of the Charming Creek walkway is 800 meters from here, and we are 25 km from old coal mining town Denniston (with museum and famous for the Denniston incli... more inside

We are located 40 minutes south of Hokitika and 1.5 hours north of Franz Josef, on a very small dairy farm. There are just over 100 cows.
We have an 3 dogs, two cats and lots of poultry. There is a small pottery (domestic stoneware ceramics) room and kiln.
Our accommodation is a cosy private one bed.
We prefer a SINGLE over 25 year old person, who has same practical skills. Male or Female. Gardener, chainsaw, tractor driving, quad and trailer, building, landscaper, construction, stonemason, arborist. We always have a big variety of jobs. Fence clearing and firewood is the big task at the moment. Also, gardening, spring planting, potting up plants or painting.
There is always a variety of tasks with plenty of garden and landscape work to do.
Mostly outside physical jobs, some need a creative mind. We save the inside jobs for very wet days.
A person with an independent attitude and a good sense of humour. Length of stay is negotiable.
We provide all meals & snacks, and plenty... more inside

My partner and I live on a beautiful 40 hectare property between Greymouth and Hokitika (most of which is native forest). It needs maintenance including clearing tracks.
We also have 25 sheep, and occasionally need help with them. Lambing is almost over now....
Our preference is someone who has been raised in the countryside, is strong, and capable with a chainsaw. An international drivers licence would be a bonus. We like people who work hard, and are capable of doing so without supervision. At the moment we are cutting up wind-fallen trees beside a road through our forest, for firewood

We only need help with housework from time to time. Our children are grown up, and not living at home...

In return for 4 hours work for every night you stay, we look after you well. Our food is good wholesome farm cooking. (Please note that we do not cater for vegetarian/vegan diets)

We want people to stay for a minimum of 4 days

Because our climate here on the west coast can be wet... more inside
