We are currently looking for Helpx people to come and stay at our Peel Forest hut. All food provided. We are looking for some help with cutting vines that are strangling some of our native trees. Our spot here is absolutely gorgeous and there is so much to do in the area. It's a fantastic spot. We ask 2 to 3 hours a day in return. ??

After having a break from Helpx for a year, we are back looking for awesome helpers. xxx

Help needed after January 12th. :)

Hi, we are Lamea and Graeme, a couple in our 40s. We have three children here. Hamish, fifteen, a really kind and helpful young man, as well as two small girls, Clara, three, and Elsie Joy, six, who are absolutely lovely and love people staying (but like all children can get tired and grumpy, or call our attention away at times).
Because you will live with us as a family, enjoyment of children is very important. They are involved in everything we do, and love to follow around, or ask you to join in games and activities.... more inside

Twizel Ecostays is an ecological retreat in the making. You'll be helping to build and landscape with earthen plasters, eco-friendly materials, recycling waste water systems, composting toilets, art work. Improving soil quality and planting. SO much to learn and great fun to be had. You will even be a part of a pre-fabricated build going up in just 5 weeks. You can learn lots from the builders, help cook, help with general labour. Camping facilities include outdoor shower, compost toilet, power and clean water. If you have a camper van this would be ideal. If not I can make arrangements. All meals provided and work as little as just 4 hours per day.

Vacancy. Starting about the 16th February

As well as the 4 hours in return for 3 meals a day and accommodation there will be some paid hours.
There will be quite a lot of driving involved so a license is essential and some experience towing a trailer would be an advantage.
You will be assisting in setting up and helping out at our "Popup Nursery" 100km South of here. We will be commuting each day, restocking.
All meals and coffees supplied.
We are near Geraldine. 1.5hrs from Christchurch or Lake Tekapo. Very much central South Island

We think you will really enjoy being here as well as working with a group of nice people.

We grow New Zealand Native Trees, shrubs, tussocks and flaxes in our nursery. We always need a hand for all sorts of jobs from nursery through to assistance in the garden.

Lynda and I (Graham) enjoy meeting people with an interest in New Zealand and have explored almost all New Zealand. We hope you will become part of the Family while you are here... more inside

We need someone who LOVES cooking & would enjoy making the evening meal for us (definitely not vegetarian please!)

We are a Christian homeschooling family, with just one 14yo girl left at home during the term, but extras in the holidays. We run a shop in the small town of Twizel in the beautiful Mackenzie Country.

Life is very full with running the household, and business, plus we are quite involved in our community. We have quite a lot of visitors.

We have room for 1 or 2 Helpxers. You will have your own room in the house. We have broadband internet & WiFi.

We have an adorable labrador dog, one giant rabbit & a budgie.

As well as cooking, we expect light household duties to help us run the home and keep it tidy (something we really struggle with - we need more time!) and clean. Also possibly gardening and yardwork. In the evenings, you will have plenty of opportunities to practise English! And we love European boardgames.

This is an amazing area of the South Islan... more inside

Our family lives on a lifestyle property in beautiful Pleasant Valley (just 10kms mountain side of Geraldine).

Our 12 acre property sits in the view of the Four Peaks Mountains, and has trees, creeks, and a spring-fed, home-made swimming pool. We have two home orchards, raspberries.

We eat largely non- processed wholefoods homecooked meals, fresh veges and fruit. We make our own yoghurt and make our own bread.

We also have our own natural swimming pool and camping ground. So you would be welcome to swim or if you like tenting - we have tents or a bus in the camping ground.

Would love some help in the garden: pruning fruit trees, weeding, mowing , chopping wood and odd jobs. Let me know if you have any particular skills.

There is a lot to explore around our area and you are welcome to borrow a bike to checkout the countryside or bike to our local village - Geraldine. Or join us on any trips out and about.

Our property is off the grid - ie we generate our own... more inside
