Hi to all you fit, strong, enthusiastic, optimistic, independent, energetic helpers out there. We need you! - especially someone with building skills to help make a garden shed out of pallets - for the week of the 14th of November to the 21st.
We are developing our permaculture garden and orchard.
At the moment we are terracing the large part of the section with brick walls and steps built with whatever recycled materials come to hand - a very long term project which needs constant help from our wonderful helpers.
Another job that we are hoping to get help with is building a small shed out of pallets - so any of you crafty carpenter types out there would be especially welcome.
We are also developing a fernery and planting out native hedges - so there are fantails and keruru in abundance. Though the development is sometimes hard work, it`s creative and fun. We are getting there but we could do with a bit of help from strong fit people whose knees can handle walking up and do... more inside

We have some painting and general garden maintenance as well as hotel duties such as making beds and cleaning.

If you are a couple don't worry, we have some General Hotel Housekeeping, painting and some gardening jobs you can share between you.

We will provide and cook all your yummy meals, you will have your own bedroom and shared Hotel/Camp bathrooms. We also have unlimited WIFI.

If you can put a strong back into our jobs for 4 1/2 hours a day in exchange, we would be very happy.

The Newly opened Clutha Gold Cycle Trail runs through Beaumont and is a busy track and the Hotel is situated on the banks of the Clutha River which has all year round fishing.

Our place is a beautiful, peaceful seaside house and established garden on the amazing Otago Peninsula, in the township of Portobello.
We are passionate about gardening and the slow, simple life - working toward our goals slowly as we bring up our daughter Daisy (3) and son Raffy, 9 months.
Jobs for us revolve mainly around the garden - caring for garden beds, planting, weeding, tree care, chicken care, very basic building, cleaning, house maintenance. A little bit of babysitting could also be thrown in the mix if you love cute bubbas!
Life out here is great, we love to cook homegrown food (Aidan is a Youth Mentor and Chef, and Bella is a Photographer), surf, bike, go diving and spearfishing, kayak, garden, socialise around the fire and enjoy good craft beer and comedy!
Around us are some of the most beautiful coastlines of New Zealand, with many tourist activities such as Albatrosses, Fur Seals, Sealions and Penguins, lots of hiking and kayaking. We are 25 minutes from Dunedin... more inside
