We are a friendly farming family of 4, Robert, Anna and our kids Elliot and Jess.

We live just outside the small town of Ranfurly (population 1000). We can take a single or couple.

We eat a normal kiwi diet and all meals are provided. Vegetarians are also welcome if you want to teach us some good recipes:)

We expect 4-5hours work per day. Work may include things like housework, gardening, helping with pets, childcare, painting, splitting/stacking wood etc.

We look forward to hearing from you.

I recently moved in this new property in Lake Hawea, which is 15km away from Wanaka. The house has a beautiful view towards Lake Hawea and its surrounding mountains, and is merely 5-minute walk away from the lake itself. It offers amazing opportunities for hiking, tramping and mountain biking lovers, as well water sports with the agreeable weather around the area.

The new house is nice and cozy, with a separate bedroom and bathroom for the guest HelpXer. I am slowly rebuilding my vegetable garden and surroundings, in an organic and permacultural way.

I lead a healthy lifestyle which incorporates meditation, Reiki, Ayurveda and some Yoga practices, and I am very open and keen to get to know people from all backgrounds. Besides English, I also speak Swiss German and German. I would like some help in the vegetable garden and around the house. I would also appreciate if you could prepare some meals. I am myself vegetarian, but I have a running barbecue for meat lovers.

Domestic Help - mainly housekeeping, cooking and some gardening.

Due to minimal work as we head into the cooler months there is a charge of $10 / day. Includes meals / WIFI etc.

Help to maintain the house, cleaning, some gardening, cooking and generally helping out around the place. It is not onerous work, an extra pair of hands appreciated!

Also, an opportunity to assist local volunteers in the Otematata Wetlands, a beautiful area nearby.

Nearest pick up point is Omarama which is on the route to ChCh / Tekapo / Wanaka / Queenstown (I can pick you up from Omarama). If coming from the East coast, just North of Oamaru is the turn off point to proceed up the valley (via Kurow), an hour`s drive to Otematata. Look forward to hearing from you. If you are transiting you are welcome to stay for a few days.

Benefits include boating and fishing on the hydro dams, weather dependent. WIFI is available.

If you have a FB page please include, to make communications easier or WeC... more inside

Gardening, housework, light mechanical, a bit of hunting, all sorts of things, never boring. handy to routburn and greenstone tracks.you will need you`re own T stick as there is no free internet,a bit isolated, not for the precious,no trophy hunters,no bum, guts or shoulder shooters.please don`t apply unless you intend to come.minimum stay two weeks, one person only.we do not get involved with internships or visa applications.vegetarians and vegans would probably not be comfortable as we eat meat daily. Because of the increasing risk of corona virus we no longer except applicants that have not been in New Zealand for less than a month ,cheers AL

My partner and I own a 50 hectare lifestyle farm in remote Central Otago about 35 minutes from Alexandra, 1.5h from Queenstown and Wanaka. The little settlement is very beautiful and reflects the history of the area. We have 6 horses, 2 donkeys and a few cows as well as 2 dogs.
We have 6 horses, 2 donkeys and a few cows as well as a couple of dogs.
Photos are of your accommodation, you have your separate wing of the house with own bathroom and wifi etc. We can accommodate up to 2 people and are looking for some help with weed control and a bit of building where required. Of course there will be some fun and horse riding will be part of the exchange to!!
Preferred length of stay is a week or more but we’re pretty flexible on this.
Cheers Jamie and Thomas

I HAVE SOLD MY FARM and moved to the Southern Lakes District. I live on my own, and enjoy the company of young people from around the world.

Please read Carelias review of her time here.
She describes my feelings so well.

I AM SLIGHTLY DISABLED BUT COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT.

I use crutches, so need a bit of help with work requiring both hands. We have a good routine here, not complicated to follow, but I do need people with GOOD COOKING and cleaning skills, plus some light gardening. Drivers license is also important I have a new home with good and private visitor facilities with own bathroom etc. I would prefer a minimum of one month stay.

I appreciate those who show good initiative, and am happy to share my favourite parts of the Wanaka region with you.

I am situated in Wanaka suburbs with the beautiful Central Otago and lakes district at your doorstep.

Wi-fi YES.

Smoking NO.

My name is Louise and I run an art gallery with a bar and kitchen. We host musical gigs every week & also Qigong classes on a weekly basis.... often catering for special events and parties. There is a garden where we hold outside musical events and over the Summer months there is always plenty to do....
Jobs could include dishes, bar work, barista, gardening, dog walking, chopping firewood, cleaning. The busiest days are Friday nights so working then is a must. Other days can be flexible depending on jobs or events and if you are around the gallery you will be fed. Bonnie does need a lot of attention every day.
My dog Bonnie, and I live just 10 minutes north on a farm which is truly beautiful and very quiet and rural. We enjoy the beauty and tranquility and hope that our visitors will too. We have a spacious caravan with double bed and sitting room space for our visitors. Shower and washing facilities are available in my place which is a converted woolshed.
The surrounding... more inside

We have a sheep and beef farm in the Catlins. We are situated on the Catlins estuary and Jacks Bay. Owaka township is only 6kms away. Our family consists of Penny and Peter, our 23 year old daughter Hope. Alvin, the Jack Russell and Blair the cat. If you have allergies this may not be the place for you as the pets are inside. Peter and I sometimes work away from the farm so are always wanting help to catch up on jobs.
We are after help on the farm, and around the house. Work will vary depending on the time of year. At this time of year we need help with feeding stock. Moving portable fences on the farm. Tidying up the garden and house work would also be required at times. We would really be keen to try some international cooking if you are keen. As we are sometimes busy, helping with the evening meal preparation and cleaning up afterwards is a big help. We are current it renovating a sleep out. If you can wallpaper and paint that would be excellent.

Our expectation would be 4... more inside

We are a high country station farming merino sheep and beef on the edge of Lake Benmore. We are isolated. 45 mins from the highway. We are keen to have extra pairs of hands to help setting up tourist accommodation, gardening or maybe help with mustering or farm work. It is a wilderness wonderland we like to share It is preferable that you have own transport.
Accommodation is your own 3 bedroom cottage. It is off grid.
