One acre paradise on the Otago Peninsula, close to wildlife attractions, peninsula walks and beautiful wild beaches with pure white sand. We have extensive veggie and cottage gardens, chook gardens (over 50 poultry) and lawns. 120 year old character villa with 1 bedroom available at the moment with two single beds.

Meals are provided but if you want to make your own meals you can use kitchen facilities to make own meals with basics provided and fresh produce as available.

There is a bus service to Portobello but own transport is an advantage if you want to explore the area. We have a couple of bicycles and a kayak.

We work our land in a sustainable way to provide vegetables year round. The chickens help to improve the soil and clear the weeds and produce eggs!
There is plenty of tidying in the gardens and chicken pens. Weather is unpredictable so placemenrs are weather and work dependent. Work expected: about 3 -4 hours/day, can include weeding, lawn-mowing, hedge prunin... more inside

Looking for someone in July, but need to be able to cope without a kitchen some of that time (alternate facilities are available) I run cattle, pigs, sheep and horses,I also have cats and large farm dogs. I have riding horses and draught horses that pull harrows or a wagon. I would be more than happy to teach people to drive horses. I need help with general farm tasks and section tidying. A driving licence would be useful and i could have a vehicle that responsible people (25 and over) could use.
Accomodation is in a separate bedroom (sleep out) in summer and in my spare room in winter as the house is centrally heated and the sleepout is not. I am looking for someone to help with general jobs around the farm. Please get in touch if interested. The best days to arrive are saturday or monday in the afternoons.thanks

We are in a family home that we have recently built in a semi rural area. We have three children - two at home and an energetic dog. As the house is nearing completion we have plenty of odd jobs including landscaping and tidying up. Ideal for someone who is happy to do physical labour.
We are happy to have someone now. It is better if you have your own car but not essential.
We have a large room with several beds, couch and a tv so that you can spend evenings alone if you would rather.
Ideal for a couple. Queenstown is a beautiful area to explore, walk, bike, ski, depending on the season.

Kia ora Helpxers

We are building and we are looking for someone who has versatile practical skills,
especially some building and painting skills.
We would also love help with a variety of things, helping tidy and clean up after the builders, working with our builders, some landscaping work, pruning hedges, some gardening-weeding.
We grow a lot of our vegetables and many different types of fruit.

We are just outside of Arrowtown. We have a small rural property.

We are about 10 minutes drive from Arrowtown, and 30 minutes drive from Queenstown. It would be best to have your own car as we are a long way from public transport

Accommodation would be a little basic, in a caravan, as we also have our builders staying with us but it is warm and dry and of course has electricity.

We offer 3 good meals a days in return for 4 hours of help, we are flexible, so you could help for 8 hrs and take the whole of the next day to go exploring our beautiful area.

You would need t... more inside

Come and join our family!
We are Jen, Jarrah, Ava(5), Zelie(3) and Hazel Nut the brown labrador Dog.

Travelling can be tiring, if you feel like being part of a warm, crazy, fun family for a bit while you re-charge your adventure batteries ( and you’re computer batteries), you are welcome to come and stay with us.

We are working towards building an Eco retreat micro cottage on our property however there is a long way to go with clearing weeds, vines and replanting with native plants etc. Now is the time to strike while the weeds are asleep for winter and we need help!

Other projects include building paths, pruning, painting, building fences, gathering materials and helping in the organic vegetable garden. We also appreciate help inside with cleaning, cooking and childcare.

Our house is often crazy and shambolic with two young ones so please be aware and comfortable with the sparkle and pop that young ones bring. Accomodation options include a double or single bed in a p... more inside

We are a large sheep and beef farm situated near Lake Benmore in the Waitaki Valley.
We have two daughters, who are four and two years old.
We are preferably looking for a couple, or two or more friends, who are confident and show initiative. You may be asked to help clean accommodation, paint interiors, load and deliver wood, and help with landscaping and gardening.
You would have your own accommodation so that you can have time to yourselves at night to relax.

If you have a car it would be preferable (although not a necessity), as we would like to give you the opportunity to explore our area in your down time. We are also happy to arrange a pick up if you are using the bus.

Hi we - Rod & Nicola - run our 100 hectare pastoral property to raise dairy heifers on an annual contract..
Farm and garden work available now - firewood, garden tidying, farm jobs, some painting and lots of other jobs. We prefer helpers with on farm experience.
In spring the farm is abuzz as we harvest fresh asparagus from mid Oct- mid Dec. We grade the spears in our packhouse for gate sales and also sell at the Otago Farmers market in Dunedin.
We have large vegetable garden which is a priority and supplies many of our needs. Plus there are shrub gardens that need regular care.
The jobs we offer involve gardening, firewood stacking, painting, farm jobs, house work and general maintenance - lots of variety.
We prefer helpers with some rural experience if possible.
We have a comfortable farmhouse, with an outdoor bath on the deck. We enjoy fresh healthy food.
Our location is just 3 kms north of Palmerston township and 20 kms south of the Moeraki boulders.

I live in a warm, comfortable 3-brm house on the flat part of Dunedin. It's close to supermarket/shops, 20 minutes walk to the beach and 45 minutes walk to the Octagon (centre of town) or you could use the good bus service and be in the Octagon in under 20 minutes.

I work from about 1pm to 10pm or later, therefore I get the mornings free. I spend way too much of my spare time cycling or hiking so I am looking someone to help keep the garden in order and the housework under control. For accommodation only, I reckon 2 hours of work a day (you choose when you want to do it) is fair if you are only staying a short time, but if you stay for longer than a week I ask for 12 hours total in a week. Since my home doesn't generate 12 hours a week of work, some of that time would probably be helping out my friends eg cleaning buses for a charity a mate is involved in, helping out in the home for a neighbour with a broken ankle etc. There always seems to be someone I know who could do with... more inside
