Hey I'm currently renovating my house over winter and aiming to work on creating a larger organic permacultural eco system & build a Spa pool and entertaining area overlooking the river, so yer it's all go & it would great to hear from anyone who's interested in helping out & having fun creating these projects.

- Trying to achieve a self susstainable organic set up, free range chickens, ducks and live stock, organic vegetables and orchard and I only like to eat food that I know where its come from. The house backs onto the Waiau River, the property requires help in maintenance and up keep. Very cruzy lifestyle and I like to have fun whilst doing tasks (its not really work) and then show off and explore the surrounding area of Southland and go hunting, fishing, surfing, kayaking, diving etc. I am always looking for helpers so hit me up if you are interested!!

my garden is always in need of a good weed and there is always lots of jobs to do, housework, i would exchange a few hours a day work for a roof over your head and food. I have a daughter that sometimes stays with me, I can offer a room and maybe a farm tour I work on a large station, 5000 Ha sheep beef and deer, Iím into hunting and gathering so the menu is meat based protein. This is a stud beef cattle property situated near picturesque Winton in Central Southland. The area is renowned for its farming and Torrisdale (the farm) is surrounded by dairy and mixed farming properties. The property is within short travel distances of some of the most talked about 'tourist' locations including Queenstown which is only a 100 minute drive away.
Like on all farms there are things to do. Preparing for/and maintenance of shelter tree plantings, small building and maintenance projects and some gardening are just some of the outdoors jobs that helpers could be involved with plus for those who have some experience, mingling with the cattle is occasionally on the list.
Food and accommodation (own room, shared bathroom) provided. Capped Internet access available. Helpers who are proficient in cooking (for themselves mostly) and putting their hand to the occasional bit of housework would fit well in the routine that is usually in vogue here. If you don't have transpor... more inside

This property is 10 acres with a large character homestead (circa 1929), which was once part of the historic Lynwood Station. The home has many period features, including wood panel wardrobes, bay windows and a number of fire places and two wood burners. Outside there is one large paddock deer fenced, with a well established garden with recently planted natives, orchard, mature specimen trees, a tunnel house, chook house, pig sty and "potentially" a large vegetable garden.

The property is just 9 Km from Te Anau itself(the largest lake in the South Island and second largest in New Zealand) which is the gateway to Fiordland and the majestic Lake Manapouri. The Keplar Track is nearby with other tramps a little further away like the start of the Routeburn and Caples Greenstone tracks at the Divide. The Mavora Lakes are also not that far away, a popular camping spot in the summer. Of course we are on the main High way to Milford.

We are looking for assistance with work around t... more inside

We are a family of 4 on a sheep and beef farm. We are friendly people who enjoy meeting new people. We'd love some help on the farm, around the home and in the garden. Experience in maintenance and a willing and able attitude will be an advantage. It is essential that you have travel insurance. Having your own vehicle would be an advantage. For 4-6 hours work a day, 4 days for a week you will get breakfast 7 days, lunch and dinner any days of the week you work. The accommodation is self contained with a spacious double bedroom, kitchen, toilet and shower, see photos below.
We're situated in beautiful Eastern Southland among rolling green hills and we live beside an excellent fishing river, rods and gear available for use. It is 20 minutes drive to Gore, 2 hours to Dunedin or Queenstown and 1 hour 10mins to Invercargill.
We're really looking forward to hearing from you.
Chris, Mairead and kids.

We live in Te Anau, right on the doorstep of Fiordland National Park
We have 2 young children 5 y.o and 2 year old and a dog. We try and grow as much produce as possible in our small garden using organic principles. We are often looking for volunteers to help out with childcare, gardening and property maintenance. We have had several volunteers come and stay with us over the last year and love the cultural exchange and the opportunity to learn about other peoples culture and food.

US:
Hey we are a young couple with the cutest 4 month old baby in the world who love to travel and have been on working holidays in Europe / UK and Australia.
We loved the people and places we got to go to and think that working exposed us to far more of the culture than just passing through.. and we pretty much just donít want it to end... so now the travellers must come to us!

THE AREA:
We live in a stunning area of the Catlins, which is a very popular tourist area known for its waterfalls, hikes, beaches, penguins (seasonal) and dolphins which you can swim with. The farm is a real working farm but it is also beautiful and peaceful, with great views of all those green rolling hills NZ is famous for!

HELP NEEDED:
The farm produces sheep and beef, and we mostly grow all of our own veggies so we always love a little help in the garden.... more inside
