Hi,

We are an award winning business on Stewart Island. We smoke and prepare local salmon to sell it at farmers markets and retail outlets throughout New Zealand.

Our motto is
"Live the life you love, Love the life you live."

We run free range chickens for their eggs and are in the process of developing an organic garden.

We generally look for people with a good work ethic.

We ask for people with a good understanding of English.

At our commercial factory you will be working with Gary doing fresh salmon, pin boning, curing and vacuum packing the smoked salmon. As well as cleaning of course is a big part of a food business.

Depending on how much production we have, there will be days when we have other work such as gardening, keeping the lawns.

Length of stay and hours of work:
We ask that you stay for a MINIMUM OF 3 WEEKS if possible. However I would look at the possibility of a long term wwoofer.

The hours of work are usually 8.30 am to lunch time. You ... more inside

Looking for helpers .Would also like helpers prepared to stay a couple weeks in September to help with lamb and calf rearing . We are a busy farming couple looking for help around our house and garden. We live in a scenic area close to the Catlins, Southern Southland (great for people who love walks, rugged coastlines), 70 km drive from Invercargill .We would also like the opportunity to meet overseas tourists and offer typical NZ farm experiences. The farm itself can be an experience for those willing to give anything a go. Many animal experiences.
We would like help with garden , house maintenance , farm tasks and even housekeeping/cooking. Whatever your skills are ?We would appreciate hard workers (4 hours/person/day)in exchange for a comfortable bed and three meals a day (very flexible ).
We farm predominantly sheep but have cows ,dogs, horses ,cats and hens.
It would be preferably if you had your own transport.
Please note we have very poor cell phone coverage and limite... more inside

We are primarily an intensive sheep farm with commercial and stud flocks - breeding rams to sell.

We are both well traveled, we have two adult sons - both working off farm. We often have overseas trainees and visitors and find that there are periods of the year, that we have room for wwoofers to give extra help around the house, garden and on the farm.

Right now, we are looking for a super star helper starting from August 20th for 2-3 weeks. You need to be happy to pitch in with whatever is happening. The first few weeks, we need help catching up on work around the home - cooking and cleaning and helping with some calf rearing. However, we then start lambing in September and we will need help feeding orphan lambs.

We enjoy folk who are team players - mature, fun, motivated, fit, adaptable, enthusiastic, practical and hard working and don't mind early mornings. What more can we say. You will live as part of the family.
If it sounds like you, then get in touch.

This property is 10 acres with a large character homestead (circa 1929), which was once part of the historic Lynwood Station. The home has many period features, including wood panel wardrobes, bay windows and a number of fire places and two wood burners. Outside there is one large paddock deer fenced, with a well established garden with recently planted natives, orchard, mature specimen trees, a tunnel house, chook house, pig sty and "potentially" a large vegetable garden.

The property is just 9 Km from Te Anau itself(the largest lake in the South Island and second largest in New Zealand) which is the gateway to Fiordland and the majestic Lake Manapouri. The Keplar Track is nearby with other tramps a little further away like the start of the Routeburn and Caples Greenstone tracks at the Divide. The Mavora Lakes are also not that far away, a popular camping spot in the summer. Of course we are on the main High way to Milford.

We are looking for assistance with work around t... more inside

Hello and welcome,
We are a family owned dairy farm milking around 440 cows. As calving is now underway we are looking for someone or a couple to assist. There will be some paid hours available every day. There is also gardening and cheese packing to help with. We have teenagers at home and a school exchange student. As we are also homeschoolers, there is always something happening. We try to maintain a holistic approach to farming but we are not organic. We are looking for singles or couples that can contribute to our busy farming household and can stay from one to several weeks. You could help out in the milk bottling room or packing cheese. If that sounds like you, don`t hesitate to email us or text. We would love to accommodate you. Our Dairy is a very modern well equipped rotary with a water recycling and effluent minimisation system.
We are situated around an hour from Te Anau and Manapouri areas and also Invercargill. During the summer we like water activities, tramping a... more inside

Trying to achieve a self susstainable organic set up, free range chickens, ducks and live stock, organic vegetables and orchard and I only eat food that I know where its come from and that includes only home kill meats (which are the best anyway) that have lived an awesome natural life. The house backs onto the Waiau River, the property requires help in maintenance and up keep. Very cruzy lifestyle and I like to have fun whilst doing tasks (its not really work) and then show off and explore the surrounding area of Southland and go hunting, fishing, surfing, kayaking, diving etc. I am always looking for helpers and if had to choose I prefer solo helpers over couples (no offence couples it`s just less shit for me to clean, sort out and multi task) so hit me up!?!

* updated... August 2018 *

We are a genuine kiwi family, Andrew, Jayne, Georgie (2.5years old) & Elsie (10mths old). We are looking for a nanny/child minder that has an interest in horses (amazing kiwi farm riding available) for the upcoming horse season.

We are located approx one hours drive from Queenstown, Te Anau & Invercargill. So it is close to go see some wonderful tourist sights like Milford Sounds, bungy jumping in Queenstown, etc.

We run a small horse stud on the large farm where we live & manage, so we have horses (obviously - including a lovely Black stallion, young horses & foals), many many sheep, lots of cows, 6 dogs, 1 cat and hens. We can offer true kiwi style fun & living & we really enjoy meeting people from all over the world!

We require a mature (23year old plus please), fun, outgoing female with previous young childcare experience & good english, from September to March approx. The main job is to care for our wee girls & run the house while... more inside
