We are primarily an intensive sheep farm with commercial and stud flocks - breeding rams to sell.

We are both well traveled, we have two adult sons - both working off farm. We often have overseas trainees and visitors and find that there are periods of the year, that we have room for wwoofers to give extra help around the house, garden and on the farm.

Right now, we are looking for a super star helper starting as soon as possible for 2-4 weeks. We're busy doing lots of sheep work in the yards, drenching and weighing lambs, some shearing coming up and lots of summer jobs plus home jobs like gardening, painting, etc.. There are always lots of different jobs to do for the right person. We are looking for someone who is physically fit and enjoys working outdoors, who would like to help our permanent farm crew. You don't need to have worked on a sheep farm before but you do need to be keen, active and have a great "can do" attitude. We have a great team on board here but so... more inside

We are a young couple who live on a small dairy farm right on the beach in Southern Southland. Both of us have done travelling before we came back to the family farm so are keen to host others in NZ!
We would love some help with any kinds of projects around our house and farm- this could be quite varied from cooking,to feeding calves, gardening/spraying to milking cows and splitting wood. If you have anything in particular skills you think might be useful!
We have a warm house, with plenty of food to share with you! We enjoy BBQ and beers in the summertime and having other friends around as well.
We would love to show you around our local area and farm. We spend a lot of time down at the beach (there is a small hut there you could stay the night at if you like) and enjoy diving for paua and fishing. In our local area there is heaps to explore- waterfalls, sea lions, the petrified forest, lighthouses etc. We have both travelled a lot throughout NZ so can share some of our favourit... more inside

Hi guys,

We are a farming family with 4 young children. We live 15 mins East of Invercargill city.

We don't need helpers, but we enjoy guests. As a guest of our family, you can expect to be well fed, accommodated, and share in our everyday farm and family life :).

We take guests for a maximum of 3 nights.

Your own transport is useful if you want to go and explore, and because of our young ones, we would prefer non-smoking people please.

We have a hut ("The Nest"), just next to our home, which you are welcome to stay in. It is small, but tidy and new, with good insulation and good heating. The Nest doesn't have toilet or shower facilities (they're in the house and not available during the night). It has 1 queen-sized bed and comes with its own series of outside bushes to pee in.

If this all sounds okay to you please feel free to get in touch. Please don't be offended if we don't get back to you right away. We try to answer everyone but every now and then the days... more inside

Hi, My partner Vic and I live on a 12 ha lifestyle block which is beside my 700 cow dairy farm, near Waikaka.
Its a beautiful area with rolling hills and stunning vista's. We rear calves, have sheep and lambs, laying hens , 4 pigs and a dog.
One of our current projects is developing a garden and renovating our house.
Vic and I are also instigating a tree planting programme on the farm this spring.
We do maintenance work on the farm fences, houses, gardens and buildings.
I appreciate a little help in the house cleaning as necessary.
As there is a variety of work to help with we welcome anybody who is keen to give any job a go with a can do attitude.
We would expect 4 hours help a day, the time of day you would help us is flexible.
Accommodation is a fully furnished house on the farm.
Meals are self cook using farm and vegetable garden produce. Although we will have some meals together to get the know each other and share experiences.
We are 2.5 hrs drive from Queen... more inside

This is a stud beef cattle property situated near picturesque Winton in Central Southland. The area is renowned for its farming and Torrisdale (the farm) is surrounded by dairy and mixed farming properties. The property is within short travel distances of some of the most talked about 'tourist' locations including Queenstown which is only a 100 minute drive away.
Like on all farms there are things to do. Preparing for/and maintenance of shelter tree plantings, small building and maintenance projects and some gardening are just some of the outdoors jobs that helpers could be involved with plus for those who have some experience, mingling with the cattle is occasionally on the list.
Food and accommodation (own room, shared bathroom) provided. Capped Internet access available. Helpers who are proficient in cooking (for themselves mostly) and putting their hand to the occasional bit of housework would fit well in the routine that is usually in vogue here. If you don't have transpor... more inside
