We are looking for happy people to join our farm hostel team for a minimum of 2 weeks.

We are on a beautiful coastal sheep farm 6km out of Akaroa with plenty of walking, fishing and (dolphin) swimming. Help us with our little hostel, van park, campground and tramping hut. You will not be helping with the farm work.

Your accommodation will be a little basic hut or an old caravan. Itís a private accommodation just for yourself unless you are two people traveling together who want to share.

Please note that food is not included but there is a supermarket in Akaroa (about 6 km from here) that we can take you to on certain days, if you do not have your own transportation. We also provide a fully equipped kitchen for you to use.

After work, you can do one of the beautiful walks around our property, drive into Akaroa for a coffee, chill out in a hammock or meet the locals: our pet dogs, sheep or chickens.

If you would like to be part of the team for a while and ENJOY living ... more inside

Kia ora kotou
We are a busy family with 5 sons (8, 11, 16, 18, 22 years - with the two oldest being overseas this year) and live in Diamond Harbour on the Banks Peninsula.
We have a beautiful home and our Micro-Farm, as we call it ... a garden, some chickens and we grow organic children :-) There's always something happening in our house, but we also just enjoy the simple village and community life. We all love to have visitors, talking, eating together, sharing our home and getting to know new people.
And of course, there is always something to do in our household! We love doing it ourselves, but sometimes it is nice to have a little help, for example with work in the house, cooking, in the garden, with the children or just being there to give a little backup.
Diamond Harbour is a small village on the beautiful Banks Peninsula, no shops, but great community and lots of nature.

We are a German family with lots of travel experience in NZ and local knowledge and we are happ... more inside

We are currently looking for a nice Helper that can help us out with some small jobs.

We live on a beautiful property surrounded by native bush. We have large gardens, fruit and nut trees, also berry fruits and more.

We have a stream running through the property which we'll eventually use to generate power, already have solar set up.

We're looking for happy easygoing people to help us out with daily tasks. We keep this place pretty well maintained so nothing is too hard or laborious.

Accommodation here is an almost finished self-contained colonial style sleepout, it has a loft which can sleep 2, also bedding for one or two downstairs.

Our daughter is Evie. . she's 8, is fluent in both English and Mandarin and is awesome. She's very friendly, fun and loves talking with and playing with other people.

We hope our Helpers can help for 4 or so hrs each day, and we don't usually ask people to work in the rain.

We cook nice meals!

Send us a message, I'm sure you ... more inside

We are raising our two kids on a small eco-friendly farm on Banks Peninsula, 35 minutes from central Christchurch.

We offer a farmstay, with accommodation in a warm open-plan sleepout. All food is provided. We will provide you with food for your own breakfasts. You are welcome to join us for lunches and your evening meal. We would like helpers to work for four hours per night stayed helping us to regenerate native bush, farm chores and gardening.

At the moment we would love your help with planting native trees and general farm work.

We aim to be as self-sufficient as we can. We grow and eat some of our food. We're not vegetarians. Our heating and hotwater is a mix of solar and wood burners with wetbacks. We try to recycle our waste including having composting toilets.

We have great walking and biking at our back door accessing Banks Peninsula's highest peaks. David travels into Christchurch each week day and is happy to pick you up at the museum. Absolutely no smok... more inside
