Fancy waking up to a lovely sea view? We live in a beautiful spot, 10 mins drive from Akaroa, close to Duvauchelle and just over an hour from Christchurch. We can offer lovely accommodation separate to our house to one or two people willing to lend a hand with general spring clean/ DIY/ gardening duties. 4 and a half hours (hard) work every day you stay in exchange for accommodation and (good!) food -whether you are a meat eater/vegetarian.

Gnnerally, stays of a few nights or a week are usually more suitable for us than long term helpers although we have had some exceptional helpers who stayed for longer periods and this may be a possibility. We can pick up from the Akaroa Shuttle and sometimes Christchurch.

We have lots to do in the garden: digging, weeding planting, clearing etc. Sometimes, but not so often, we need help with general spring cleaning: house washing, window cleaning, shed tidy.
We could do with some help with garden work at the moment including shift... more inside

Hi There Helpers,

We have a small flock of sheep, hobby vineyard and a good sized garden and are looking for one helper to start over the next few weeks. The priority at the moment is the vineyard, the work is easy and pleasant overlooking the harbour. There could be some gardening work but mostly in the vineyard.

Our property runs from the road down to a small beach where we keep a couple of kayaks helpers can use or just swim, walk and enjoy our beautiful little bay.

We would like you to work five hours a day with us(or whatever suits us both) in return for a room and good healthy, varied meals. Peter loves cooking on the barbeque and sharing his knowledge of grape growing and making his own wine and beer.
If we could have someone start this week or next week for a week or two that would be great.

If you don't have your own transport you can take the Christchurch to Akaroa shuttle bus, get off at Barry's Bay (where the cheese factory is) and we will collect you fr... more inside

We are looking for a Helper or two that can start as soon as possible and stay for a week or two.

We live on a beautiful property surrounded by native bush. We have large gardens, fruit and nut trees, also berry fruits and more.

We have a stream running through the property which we'll eventually use to generate power, already have solar set up. Now generating hot water from our fire - for free - and shower inside!

We're looking for happy easygoing people to help us out with daily tasks. We keep this place pretty well maintained so nothing is too hard or laborious.

Accommodation here is an almost finished self-contained colonial style sleepout, it has a loft which can sleep 2, also bedding for one or two downstairs.

Our daughter is Evie. . she's 7, is fluent in both English and Mandarin and is awesome. She's very friendly, fun and loves talking with and playing with other people.

We hope our Helpers can help for 4 or so hrs each day, and we don't usually ask peop... more inside

About us - we are a family of five with three children aged 6, 8 & 10 yrs. We live in Lavericks Bay, where we run a 1500 hectare sheep and cattle farm, and tourist accommodation in the form of a glamping site - http://www.canopycamping.co.nz/lavericks-bay

Lavericks Bay is about 40 min from the historic township of Akaroa, and 1.75hrs from Christchurch. Lavericks Bay has a population of 10 people (five being us) so there is plenty of peace and quiet.
