We're hosting again!

We live on a beautiful property surrounded by native bush. We have large gardens, fruit and nut trees, also berry fruits and more.

We have a stream running through the property which we'll eventually use to generate power.

We're looking for happy easygoing people to help us out with daily tasks. We keep this place pretty well maintained so nothing is too hard or laborious.

Accommodation here is an almost finished self-contained colonial style sleepout, it has a loft which can sleep 2, also bedding for one or two downstairs if needed. The sleepout has a chippie (small logburner) so is very warm in winter.

Our daughter is Evie. . she's 8, is fluent in both English and Mandarin and is awesome. She's very friendly, fun and loves talking with and playing with other people.

We hope our Helpers can help for 4 or so hrs each day, and we don't usually ask people to work in the rain. Oh, also we cook nice meals!

Glen, Ivy and Evie.

We are raising our two teenagers on a small eco-friendly farm on Banks Peninsula, 35 minutes from central Christchurch.

We offer a farmstay, with accommodation in a warm open-plan sleepout. All food is provided. We will provide you with food for your own breakfasts. You are welcome to join us for lunches and your evening meal. We would like helpers to work for four hours per night stayed helping us to regenerate native bush, farm chores and gardening.

At the moment we would love your help with planting native trees and general farm work.

We aim to be as self-sufficient as we can. We grow and eat some of our food. We're not vegetarians. Our heating and hotwater is a mix of solar and wood burners with wetbacks. We try to recycle our waste including having composting toilets.

We have great walking and biking at our back door. David travels into Christchurch each week day and is happy to pick you up at the museum. Absolutely no smokers please.

Kia ora kotou
We are a busy family with 5 sons (9, 13, 17, 19, 24 years - with the oldest being overseas) and live in Diamond Harbour on the Banks Peninsula.
We have a beautiful home and our Micro-Farm, as we call it ... a garden, some chickens and we grow organic children :-) There's always something happening in our house, but we also just enjoy the simple village and community life. We all love to have visitors, talking, eating together, sharing our home and getting to know new people.
And of course, there is always something to do in our household! We love doing it ourselves, but sometimes it is nice to have a little help, for example with work in the house, cooking, in the garden, with the children or just being there to give a little backup.
Diamond Harbour is a small village on the beautiful Banks Peninsula, no big shops, but great community and lots of nature.

We are a German family with lots of travel experience in NZ and local knowledge and we are happy to suppo... more inside

We have a 180 cow dairy farm. We also have four young children so lead very busy lives. You will be helping with cleaning, sheep work, fencing, firewood, some housework or childcare or general farm chores.

We live in a beautiful part of New Zealand. There are heaps of gorgeous beaches for you to explore and Akaroa is only a 15 minute drive away.

We host a French University student every July to early October so we can't take anyone over that time. We also only have room for one person at a time.

We would prefer to host people for at least two week but prefer longer. The first four hours of work each day pay for your room and keep and after that any extra will be paid.

Give us a call, Rachel and Hamish

We are a family of four with a large house and garden to care for. Our home is situated within a farm and it's in the beautiful Banks Peninsula area. Akaroa is a short drive away.
We recently moved to our house and the garden is in need of some attention as it has become pretty overgrown.
We are myself Brigid, my husband Mark and our two girls Alyana 16 and Livi 13.
We love to travel and we love meeting new people. We enjoy sharing dinners and good conversations.
We also have a small dog Alfie who gets very excited when people come and barks to let us know you have arrived.
We can provide accommodation and most meals.
We prefer to have a couple.
Most of the work will be in the garden although help with household cleaning is great. I love it when other people cook.
It is best if you have a car as you can then explore the fabulous Banks Peninsula. We are in a quiet Bay and Akaroa is close by with restaurants, shops and adventures.
