**We are not looking for guests at the moment**

We are a family of 4 living on Scotland Island, in the beautiful Pittwater region of Sydney's Northern Beaches. The island is an hour from Sydney's CBD, 10 minutes from the nearest town (Mona Vale), and surrounded by National Parks and stunning beaches. The island is an amazing retreat for anyone who enjoys nature, being near the water, and living in friendly communities.

Our house is set among the gum trees and has views of Pittwater from our deck. We are frequently visited by friendly lorikeets, parrots and cockatoos, and countless other critters that call the island home. We have two decks, a bbq, hammocks, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards for you to use, and there is great bush walking, exploring and swimming moments away.

Greg is an animator and I (Tina) am a researcher/writer. We live with our two little boys (5.5 years old and 1.5 years old), our friendly cat and 6 free-range backyard chickens. We are easy going and... more inside

Welcome to Nutshell Farm, our beautiful farm and home.

We have a variety of things to do, including planting, finishing our berry garden, helping with the animals, building animal pens and housing, and fencing.

It would be especially great to hear from tradespeople or anyone with construction, welding, fencing or experience in farming or growing crops. But if that is not you, and you still have a desire to learn and experience real farm life, please contact us.

Our cozy, comfortable farm-house will make you feel right at home, with a lovely winter fire, and efficient summer air conditioning (in living areas) we are comfortable whatever the weather. You will have privacy, with your own room, a large, clean, comfortable bed, with an electric blanket to warm you on cold nights. The main bathroom and toilet is shared with a second room, but you will have exclusive use if you are the only worker here during your stay.

The climate in this small area is unique, we normally get regular rainfall all year.
We searched all of Australia and Tasmania for the perfect spot to live, secluded, safe and secure from all dangers including, storms, high seas etc. What we found was an incredible place hardly touched by humanity.
We would like you to come and spend time with us either visitors to Australia or born and bred Aussies.
Our place is very different from others you are likely to visit, no fruit picking. We grow vegetables keep chickens, guinea fowl, ducks, and geese also goats and some cute huge Rabbits etc but only a small number. We have trees and wildlife.
Accommodation is first world, flush toilets, satellite TV. We have Solar power with a large battery bank in virgin bush-land with wildlife, Kangaroos etc.
If you are wanting to spend a while in the real Australian bush yet only 30 minutes to a town with banks, supermarkets even a McDonalds.
Australians here to help your English if y... more inside
