Hi all,
We are small backpacker hostel in the vibrant town of Port Macquarie, half way between Sydney and Byron Bay.
Port Macquarie is a rather small city but has a LOT to offer! With 9 different beaches there is plenty to explore, swim, surf, snorkel... Port Macquarie is also the home of the one and only koala hospital in Australia, which you can visit every day for free. Looking for something more fun? You can also ride some camel in the beach or visit the Australia’s Billabong Zoo or the Rainforest center.
The hostel is only a short walking distance from the city center, shops and restaurants.
Life here gives you the chance to lead or take part to many activities such as sunrise surfing, snorkeling, coastal walks, heading to the pub for live music or nightly socials around the hostel and much more. You can also just chill out in the pool or relax in a hammock for a snooze. There is something for everyone.
We ask for 2h30 to 3h work per day, 6 day/week including mainly ... more inside

HI EVERYBODY; 15/12/'19
This is a 3 acre hobby farm and is extremely hard to keep gardens properly maintained. It's place to work and learn. At the moment I can accommodate up to 4 or 5 people. Or you can camp on site. I may, at times, be able pay a trades person 2hrs per day up to 5 days per week But for now; It`s time to do some planting, gardening and some weeding I also need someone to feed the animals, etc. each day. And I need people with building skills and/or want to learn building skills, there`s a job for everyone, depending what you want. Also I need to finish the sun room.
I`m near Maclean, halfway between Byron Bay and Coffs Harbour. TOWN, RIVER and BEACHES are only 10mins. away. It`s a quiet area, bush and Kangaroos at the back door.We have World Heritage Rainforests, NATIONAL PARKS and beautiful beaches.
There`s plenty to see and do and if you can drive my car I`d love to show you around the area. This is a fantastic place!! Or I have push bikes you can use. ... more inside

Warm greetings from rural Byron Shire. I'm looking for a couple, or two friends to help for a week or ten days in early January 2020. Work will include brush-cutting and clearing of the vegetation on my slopes, other relatively heavy gardening and other outdoor tasks. No particular skills or experience are needed, but cheerfulness is important; I shall be working with you. In return for about four hours work per day you'll have comfortable accommodation in my guest-rooms, with your own bathroom and plenty of good food. The swimming pool is available for cooling-off and relaxation.

I've been in Australia, from England, for 12 years, with a lovely, hill-top property, above Mullumbimby in the Byron Bay hinterland, with views of the ocean and wildlife, including an occasional koala and wallaby. I've travelled and worked widely around Asia and Africa but am now settled just 7 minutes by car from Mullumbimby and near the coast at Brunswick Heads and Byron Bay's surf, lighthouse,... more inside
