We are a spiritually based community of people who live together from many different nationalities and cultures, sharing all things in common.
Our work involves organic farming and hospitality. Come and learn how to bake organic bread and general catering skills in our cozy rustic cafe, just across the road from our farm. Also our 21 acre farm where we live requires continual
maintenance and care. Work includes gardening and general farm work.
Situated right near the southern highlands, our beautiful farm is tucked away in the hills of the Razor Back Ridge. Our farm and cafe are one and a half hours south of Sydney and 45 minutes west of Wollongong and from Goulburn we are 1 and a half hours north. Trains are always running from Sydney city to Picton.
Please come and stay with us. We would love to host you. After one week stay is negotiable.

Update : As of the 10th of August, we are looking for up to 2 people to help feed cattle and sheep, and a handyman that would like to do some building work.

We have approximately 2000 hectares of undulating country, situated in the middle of New South Wales. We run sheep, cattle, and do some farming. We run approximately 1500 sheep which needs lamb marking and shearing. With the cattle we have mustering and yard work. We also have daily milking of 3 cows and feeding 6 calves. The bees need honey to be extracted from and new hives to be made. We also have chickens and turkeys which need attention daily and working dogs to be cared for. With fencing and building we also need help. We have composting, vegetable garden and fruit trees. When it rains we need help with our grain farming. We have 2 rooms with toilet and shower for accommodation. Meat based diet. Prefer 2 week stay or longer. We need help with computer work as well.

. Want a quiet relaxing place, close to nature , away from the backpacker trail on the coast ( 2 hours away from the gold coast ,not where the red flag puts me),somewhere to recharge your batteries and meet some real Aussies without going too far inland.?
My place is a cattle farm with one farmer,130 angus cattle, old black dog, chooks, lots of birds and wildlife, relaxing place, near KYOGLE, which is 1.5 hours drive from Byron Bay. Two hours south of brisbane by train. Very close to the beautiful Border Ranges National Park (bike ride away). If I have time I can show you around. There is a mountain to walk in and a creek to swim in, also I have mountain bikes you can use(plenty of quiet country roads). There is a hammock if you wish to be less active, that`s ok too. Fairly big , old farm house . You will have your own clean room, (0ne with 2 singles, one with a double )there is a fireplace, Tv, limited wifi, Telstra is the best company to use for phone signal, washing machine, hot ... more inside

If you would like a homely, wondrous Blue Mountains experience, nestled in nature, without being surrounded by tourists, you`re welcome to stay with us. You will relax and unwind here, sit in front of the fire in the evenings, drink tea, go on bushwalks, feed the alpacas, and share stories. Then wake to amazing sunrises!

Especially quiet for those that have just come from a Vipassana meditation retreat.

Read the reviews of previous helpers to get an idea for what you will experience here.

We live in a new house on a two acres, next to the Blue Mountains National Park. Amazing bushwalks begin at our home. Walk to Govetts Leap waterfall, Evans Lookout, the Grand Canyon, and Blue Gum Forest (https://youtu.be/GpAYNkuURV0).

We need ENERGETIC help in the garden, mainly splitting firewood and moving big rocks with wheelbarrows to help us building garden beds. There are lots of small jobs, all requiring good strong MUSCLES.

We also need help in the house, ... more inside

What is expected of you:
4 easy hours per day, 5 days a week. Days off are flexible. You get 7 days meals, accommodation and transport. Best if you stay at least three weeks. If you book please turn up or notify us if you or not coming. We refuse a lot of HelpXers and find so many of the ones we agree to take are not turning up. We are away from shops and the tourist venues but others live separately on the farm. Unfortunately we get a few weeks of wet weather each year so we mainly stay inside the house and don`t do outside work. During the winter months we hosted three groups of Chinese students. They didn`t write a review but were happy with their stay.

Farm duties include:
Working with the host on the farm. Jobs are to keep the farm running with cattle, coffee, chickens, nut and fruit trees and home garden. We have old work clothes you can use. This is a large hobby farm not a commercial operation.

This farm is set 700m above sea level on the Bulga Plateau, in the pristine hinterland of the Mid North Coast NSW, home to the majestic Ellenborough Falls. We run a heavenly chicken farm, with about 3000 layers, ranging on open fields and mountain forest. We are quite remote, the closest town is Wingham (50 minutes away) and the small village of Elands is 15 minutes away. We have 3 children aged 15, 12 and 10. We also have 10 goats and 5 dogs. Easy work collecting, grading and packing eggs and general farm maintenance. We are surrounded by diverse countryside and mountain forest with only a short drive to swimming holes and Ellenborough Falls. Separate accommodation for 1-2. Internet access is available close to the house, but is not unlimited, reasonable speed. Negotiable stays after initial visit. We cannot sign off second year visa. Can pick up from Wingham or Kendall Train Stations. Taree or Port Macquarie if travelling by bus. Looking forward to meeting you!

We live on a beautiful and very peaceful farm in Arcadia which is one hour north of the Sydney CBD. We are at the end of a quiet street and surrounded by national park. There isn`t a neighbour in sight! There are lots of beautiful walking and riding trails right outside our gate, yet the shops are just 15 minutes away. Train stations are 30 minutes away so the city and beaches are very accessible.

Our workers and volunteers have free use of a great little Toyota Yaris so they can explore the local area, go shopping, get to the train stations and do lots of fun things on days off. They also have free wifi and I pay for all of their groceries.

I (Amanda) have a horse business. I give lessons and train horses for dressage and show jumping. I also try to go to competitions as often as possible. We usually have between 18 and 25 horses here so it`s all pretty busy.

My husband Brett is a builder and he tries to work as locally as possible. He also has a lon... more inside
