Welcome to my bush property abounding with birds and tall gum trees in the Dandenong Ranges. Just take the suburban train from Melbourne to Belgrave (one hour journey), and I will meet you at Belgrave Station. There is a double bed in the spare room, which has a stunning view over the garden and beyond, as in the last photo. There is wifi.

Great food is on offer; carnivore, vegetarian, even vegan or other needs are easily catered for. Entertaining is a pleasure. The only animal is a lovely friendly Australian Shepherd girl, so no dog allergies please!

Open-minded and fun-loving, I love alternative music, and smoking outside is ok. I have a guitar and a piano. There are even some good live music venues close by, and you can go for a night out if that is your interest.

I speak some French, and am happy to help with conversation for French people wanting to improve their English.

Currently looking for people who can help in some of these tasks, but major project for January is replacing veranda decking, building some wicking beds for the vegetable garden and building a fancy-fairytale chook (chicken) shed that would fascinate kids.

a) Garden /orchard/ farm work:
composting, mulching, weeding, mowing, pruning, planting, fixing garden beds, irrigation systems, netting of fruit trees, weed control, tidying up the property, firewood, cooking.
b) Building/renovation work.
c) Stripping and painting furniture.

Our house is on top of a ridgeline in rolling granite hill country with great views. Our western red cedar home has a wide veranda all the way round; we eat many of our meals outside here absorbing the scenery or occassionally just relax with a book in the hammocks.
There are plenty of kangaroos and much birdlife.
We live in the country side (no shops) on a quiet road; very peaceful. The nearest major towns are Bendigo (25km) or Castlemaine (2... more inside

We live in beautiful West Gippsland (1 1/4 hours SE of Melbourne) on a 5 hectare Hobby farm overlooking the Bunyip State Forest. Along with Steve and myself we live with 2 dogs, 2 cats, 4 horses and a couple of cows. Our animals are part of our family and are often inside. We are 2 km from the Bunyip State Forest and 10-15 km from a couple of large country towns so you will need a car.
We offer you a Queen room along with the rest of our home and property for you to enjoy, dinner, bed and breakfast in return for 4 hours each day of your time to help out with general gardening, interior and exterior painting, general farm maintenance, some small carpentry projects and cooking our meals together.
We would welcome singles, a couple or a couple of friends and look forward to meeting and exchanging cultural experiences. Non Smokers only please.

Vacancy for 1 or 2 people February/March/April for 2 or 3 weeks (or longer if suitable)

Specifically to help with any of these tasks:

Painting inside the house
Mowing and garden maintenance
Weeding and pruning
Tidying up the shed
Paving repairs

=======================================================================

Also vacancy for mid June to late July for a couple to HOUSESIT. Must have own vehicle. This would be a great opportunity if you wanted to find some casual work in the town and use our place as a base, while looking after our animals. June/July is winter so there will not be much gardening to do. You would need to feed and look after the cat, chickens and alpacas during that time and just tend to any immediate garden issues. We can suggest possible workplaces - cafes, gardens etc.

I cannot take anyone until after March 20;after that I am looking for single long term helpers .
I have a cafe/restaurant where you will be working approximately 4 to 5 hours a day 4 or 5 days a week with week ends off.
The job is simplistic for those who are inexperienced and consists mainly of helping the chef, washing dishes. waiting on tables, for those more confident and who are proficient in English there can be some serving and counter food preparation if you so desire.
In all cases you are an extra and the staff love this as there is less work for them. All the transport to and from the cafe is provided and the cafe is 3 K from the CBD.
I live in a modern 4 bedroom house in Werribee, where workers have their own room and toilet. I have free WIFI. I live 500m from the station, where a train runs to Melbourne every 20 min, 22 hrs a day.

About 4 times a year I go to ÷utback" Australia where I legally hunt and shoot feral animals and these trips last for about 8 days, i... more inside

We are looking for some help from 25 February. On the property there are friendly animals: one horse, 18 chickens and two sheep. We have a big berry patch which is in full fruit and needs to be picked to make raspberry and blackberry jam and ice cream. Our vegetable patch has lots to offer in terms of fresh food and work to do to maintain.

The work we are doing at the moment is: Building a grape arbour and bluestone fireplace.

We have accommodation in the house. We enjoy good fresh food and socialising. Our property is 5km from town which has a train station to Melbourne and we are 8km from Hanging Rock. We have bicycles available for you to ride.

We will provide food and rooms for 5 hours of work 5 days per week. We can pick you up from the train station so you don't need a car.

We have great neighbours close by and our animals love new friends!

We live in the mountains of north east Victoria, one hours drive from Albury Wodonga. It's a really pretty place with rivers and creeks and friendly people. Our garden is what needs the most work as there is about 4 acres of it and we open it up to the public for some of the year. We have a large collection of medicinal plants and like to teach people about how they were used to heal in the past.
We like to do artistic things, we make our own soap and always have building projects on the go.
The gardens are magnificently landscaped and include a water lily covered lake with Monet bridge, large vegetable garden and hedge maze.
We are located beside the Mitta Mitta river in a picturesque mountain area close to the snow fields.
We ask for 5 hours or there abouts gardening or odd jobs per day.
You will have your own room and comfy bed. Transport can be arranged for you (most times)
