Hello and welcome to beautiful Olinda.

***Currently seeking a Helper who can use a chainsaw and help prune and trim ornamental, deciduous and fruit trees from ground level. Or a carpenter to help repair weather damaged external timber windows.

NOTE: YES I am happy to host experienced garden helpers and carpenters/tradies during this lock down period in Victoria providing you have no Coronavirus symptoms.

There is no free wifi - you will need to use your own data allowance from your SIM card and reception is very good.

I appreciate self-starters and Helpers with initiative, who do not always need to be told what to do and are capable of putting in a full days work. Weeding and garden work is always a go-to if you are waiting instructions. Helpers will sometimes be left to work by themselves as I donít always have time to supervise them. Therefore, Helpers who can help with limited instructions, work unsupervised and independently are essential.

Non smokers only.
We run a farm with wool sheep and prime lambs. We also have a free range meat chicken business. We use organic fertilizers and drenchs. Chemical use is minimal. We have dogs, layers, three pigs and two geese. Three small dogs and a cat come inside. We also have stick insects!
We live next to a state forest, 20km from the Glenelg river and about 70km from the coast. Our major shopping town is Hamilton but we do go to Portland and Mount Gambier. Mount Gambier is tricky with the covid restrictions.
We would love someone to come and enjoy our area and help us with what we are doing. Help could consist of tree planting, gardening, cleaning, painting and general farm work. If you have any particular skills, let us know and we will try and accomadate you in that area! We are very interested in learning about new cultures and trying your cuisine! We have two rooms available. Applicants must be non smokers.

We hope you can join us.
Currently looking for keen and energetic people who can join us in making our piece of Paradise even better. We're looking for people who can start from now onwards.

Projects include renovating our timber veranda, building some wicking beds for the vegetable garden, transplanting seedlings, and building a fancy-fairytale chook (chicken) shed that would fascinate kids.

There may also be other work:
getting our berry patch ready, composting, mulching, chainsawing of storm fallen trees & limbs, weed & grass control, mowing, pruning, fixing garden beds and irrigation systems, netting of fruit trees, net repair, tidying up the property, firewood, cooking.

Our house is on top of a ridgeline in rolling granite hill country with great views. Our western red cedar home has a wide veranda on 3 sides; we eat many of our meals outside here absorbing the scenery or occasionally just relax with a book in the hammock or in front of the fire.

'We aren't creating paradise, we are already in paradise!'
This permaculture home, garden and party house has been created by myself and my mates, bit by bit, over 10 years. In the summer its a festival here, I hold parties every few weeks. We have a spa, sauna, natural pool, and hammocks swinging from the trees and decks, all the way down the many different levels of this steeply sloping property.
I'm a medical doctor and Professor of Integrative medicine. My big goal is to turn the whole world into a wellness retreat, starting here.
You will be over 26, observant and pro-active. Happy couples are welcome.
I do a lot of travelilng, so its great to have someone to take care of the place when I cannot. Inital stay 2 days, to be extended if we are a great fit, and everyone is happy.
Its a chemical free, natural household, with spring water from the mountains to drink, and a no-chlorine super-filter for everything else. I want you to go home radiant with health and happine... more inside
