We havenít hosted for a while because we have been very busy working but now we are sad to see that many backpackers are currently trapped and jobless in Australia. We can offer space for a one person. We can offer a partly converted shed space as we have converted the caravan into my office until the shed is finished.

Have you been in South Australia the last two weeks? Where have you been?
You must be willing to self isolate to protect us as we have been self isolating as much as we can.

Please only contact through helpx email service.

Property is situated approximately 8 Kilometers from Adelaide CBD. Approximately 3 acres of natural and partially cleared bushland. Close to walking tracks. Set amongst mature trees, fabulous variety oh birdlife and Australian Fauna, especially Koalas.
The nearest town towards the Hills is Crafers, the pub is great, then to Stirling, which has a monthly market, great cafes and a walking track through to Aldgate. Towards the city, the first supermarket is 10 minutes by car.
The Adelaide Hills is very special, there is something for everyone, Wineries, great produce, especially cheese at Hahndorf and many german bakeries. Native Fauna sanctuaries, just so much to see and do as you wish. Breakfast at Rubies Organic Cafe in Stirling is just a perfect way to cruise into a Sunday. There is no bus service here, so you would need your own transport.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering.

Due to the corona virus all our booked overseas helpers had to cancel their flight to Australia. In the meantime we are getting Virus refugees staying with us however
from mid Mai if the situation eases we might have some places open again.

We appreciate help, enjoy young people and having an excuse to visit the beautiful and interesting places Adelaide, the hills and the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia have to offer with them.

Please read through all the text below and only apply if you think this is for you. Ask us early as we have many requests and are not always but often booked quite a bit in advance.

We live on a 2 hectare property with the young Angas River running through. We have organic gardens with fruit trees, all sorts of berries, vegetable gardens with free roaming bantams, big layer hens, a Muscovy duck, flower beds, lawns and two goats on paddocks. Our beautiful donkeys unfortunately passed away thi... more inside

Animal encounters and local heritage...
Named for the windsong through the magestic Pepper Trees surrounding the homestead, our Estate of 10 hectares is nestled between the scenic Barossa Valley, famed world over for its fine food and wines, and the mighty River Murray, the third longest navigable river in the world and Mecca for river fishing and water sports.

Our homestead is adjacent to the River Marne, feeding into the Murray and habitat to myriad bird species and Australian wildlife. In season you may even catch fresh water yabbies in the waterholes. In the rural landscape you can explore century old farm relics and disused mines... may be gold in those hills yet. This is true `Big Sky` country, a painters delight, with dawns, sunsets and stars - Cambrai was recently internationally acclaimed as a star gazing venue for its clean pollution free atmosphere, so bring your star charts!

Currently seeking a couple (ie partners) or possibly a single person keen for a longer stay (ie min 4 weeks) for building, gardening and general land-care. Due to the pandemic we are looking for people willing to remain on the property as we are isolating ourselves as much as possible.
