Must be physically fit, a cheerful and willing worker who is able to work without constant supervision, be able to think for yourself and to improvise when necessary.
Sometimes the help needed could involve agility, for example climbing a ladder to do cleaning or painting, or being strong to help shift furniture, able to handle a chainsaw, help with house repairs, fencing, garden digging and other work usually done by a male helper. We registered with helpx after a friend in the Northern Territory told us what a fantastic experience they were having meeting people and getting help !
We live on a beautiful rural property, that borders the township of historic Willunga; district of fine foods and wine. There is a weekly farmers market with organic and local produce five minutes walk away, also cafes, shops pubs, the beach (a bike ride away), and a rural atmosphere.
We are a family of four with two friendly dogs. We need help with the many tasks on a rural property- gardening,
maintenance, painting, fire-wood collecting, building, general outdoor work. We offer wholesome food, good company, and accommodation for 4 hours work a day,
access to WiFi and bicycles and a wonderful experience of life in rural Australia. We are only a short bike ride away from pristine beaches..including Port Willunga...look it up its a beautiful, clean beach.

This is a sheep farm located in the centre of Kangaroo island , which is off the coast of South Australia. The closest city is Adelaide.

I also grow potatoes and catch freshwater crayfish as part of the family business.
Accommodation is a four bedroom house just for helpers and there is also a car for touring the many sights and beaches on kangaroo island.
Accommodation the car and food is supplied in exchange for 3 -4 days work per week.
There is plenty of time for natural swimming on the many secluded beaches and I can provide surf lessons if you would like to try.
