Come and experience living on an Australian sheep farm. We own and live on the farm, currently running 4000 sheep, but are looking at slowing down in life.
Our son has now come home to do the work. So most of my work involves driving around checking ewes and lambs and waters, and moving mobs of sheep with the help of kelpie sheep dogs.so you can cruise around the farm with us. Your role would to help my wife with daily chores such as feeding dogs, shifting water sprinklers & mowing the lawn (ride on mower)and some cleaning so she prefers females or maybe couples
We have been hosting backpackers from around the world for a few years to help with work on the farm and around the house but more importantly to understand more about other countries.
Visitors live in the house with us where meals are provided. Activities varies with the season. We prefer females due to past experiences, they listen better.
We have a lot of kangaroos and other wildlife, there is plenty of natural vege... more inside

We live in a beautiful town called Willunga, 45km south of the Adelaide CBD, nestled at the foothills, next to the McLaren Vale vineyards and 10 minutes from glorious beaches on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

We are currently looking for 1 or 2 people to help us in the garden.

Our home is located in the center of Willunga. We are opposite the Willunga Golf Course, a 2 minute walk to the Farmers Market, and a 3 minute walk to the main street with a lovely range of shops and cafes.

If you love a peaceful environment, animals, good wine & food, board games, good humour and friendly banter... then you may just love spending some time with us in our home.

Our names are Jess & Surahn and we own and live on a 10 acre almond orchard in Willunga, in the world famous McLaren Vale wine region.

We live here with our two sons, 4yr old Teddy and 5 month old Bowie and 2 sheep .

Life on the farm gets a little crazy at harvest, so this year we’re looking for extra hands in exchange for food and accommodation and a very rewarding experience!
We’re looking for help to harvest our almonds, amongst a variety of other farm tasks from Feb 1st to March. We harvest almonds the old fashioned way, by hand, as we are passionate about farming in a way that is gentle on the land and soil. Its a great work out! We’ll teach you how to knock the trees with a mallet and use bamboo sticks to knock almonds onto sheets, dry them out and hull and crack. We will also teach you how to drive the tractor, make wine, plus help with fruit and veg gardens.
We need about 4-5 hours a day, 5 days a week but we’re pretty flexible. Some days might be longer, some days... more inside

We'd love a friendly couple to come and give us a hand on our property. We live on a rural property in one of the premier wine regions of Australia, close to beautiful beaches and 45 minutes from the city of Adelaide.
You will need your own car, as there is some public transport to the township of McLaren Vale and to Adelaide, but it is not very frequent. There is a good shopping centre in McLaren Vale, which is about 3 km.The area is noted for fine food and wine and there are over 70 cellar doors, plus restaurants and a lovely weekly Farmers Market. Mobile phone reception is good and limited WiFi is available. We have two horses, but they are not rideable. We are an older couple who love good food and wine, music, country life and equestrian sport, but due to recent surgery, we need a bit of help with gardening and odd jobs around the home and vineyard. The accommodation provided is private, with your own bathroom and sitting room, so, good for a couple, but due to health issue... more inside
