Are you friendly, fun and looking for a farm on which to help in October 2020?

We currently have some fantastic helpers.

Would you like to help us on the farm and/or with our small children? Would you like to experience farm life, learn new skills and spend time with an Australian family?

Our farm is a broadacre cropping and sheep property 140km West of Esperance in Western Australia. We are looking for assistance with looking after the sheep and planting our crops (wheat, barley and canola). We also have horses, alpacas and chickens.

The activities in which helpers will have the opportunities to be involved include: care of sheep, machinery maintenance, gardening, house keeping and cooking.

During your leisure time, you may wish to go bush walking or swimming in our river.

The coastal town of Esperance is only 1.5hours away so if you have a car then you may wish to spend some time there. Otherwise, it is accessible by bus (Transwa) and our helpers often go to... more inside

(¯`·.·´¯) When possible CHINESE people are VERY welcome in our home (¯`·.·´¯)

The man of the house is 73 YRS OLD!!! - CLEARLY AT A GREATER RISK OF DEATH IF HE GETS THE CORONA VIRUS.

Update 2nd April - we had closed our home due to the threat of Coronavirus & our safety, but are considering POSSIBLY hosting. Our situation is with schools closing Karen is trying to study plus be George's 'teacher'. We're after someone to stay with us to help with George, schooling and general family life. We will mostly be at home, with daily walks to beach etc. We can't unfortunately offer our normal outings but can offera safe, friendly, low-stress home with meals & internet. Our budget has taken a hit with Karen having to temporarily close her business, so we're having healthy, filling meals but nothing extravagant (sorry no lobster!! Haha). We are low tech, we don't sit on social media all day, but definitely enjoy keeping in touch with friends and family at the right time.

If you fit our criteria please get in touch, with honest information.
Criteria: extremely low risk of Coronavirus, female (only), great English to help with schooling, friendly, cope with quiet life ... more inside

Hello, I have a hobby farm five minutes from the sea side twin towns of Dongara and Port Denison, which is 350klm north of Perth and 60 km south of Geraldton. Dongara is a quiet fishing/farming town and one of the best kept secrets on the west coast. On the farm I have a dog, chickens, ducks, horses, sheep, pigs, goats and a few cows.

I`m looking for people to help out around the farm with experience in house sitting, permaculture, gardening cooking and cleaning. In exchange I`ll provide meals and accommodation.

When not working there are many lovely spots in the local area to pass the time. With 180 acres of land there is plenty of space for quiet walks or a bicycle ride to town with the beach and the river close by,surfing, snorkelling, kayaking, kite surfing, swimming or fishing is possible.

The farmhouse is spacious with a cool covered veranda area with bbq, hammocks and comfortable chairs to relax in for the evenings.

If you would like to see a beau... more inside

Very sorry - until further notice, we are not hosting helpers here...,
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
What is written below no longer applies:
I prefer self-contained travellers..., in camper vans or car & tent combo. The work is simple - raking leaves, picking up sticks, collecting firewood, watering and/or weeding the garden and orchard..., occasional house cleaning.

I provide some great private camp sites here, under some Peppermint trees with tarp stretched out between them...., and a short walk away to toilet and showers. It's all filtered rainwater here so no need for you to purchase water. No ground fires are allowed here - but the total fire ban will be lifted soon.

This is a very special location..., like no other..., 40 years ago it was pasture beside a creek. I've revegetated and re-wilded this land..., now It's a mix of eucalyptus forest, peppermint groves and grass trees..., all bisected by a creek lined with paper... more inside
