Hello my name is Angela and I am the person searching for someone suitable to take the following position and opportunity.

There is a beautiful property 40 minutes North of Hobart that requires a lovely person (mature female preferred) to live and work on the property. Lee is a severely physically disabled quadriplegic man requiring care and he and his father are offering two different scenarios.

First scenario is a lovely self-contained accommodation, next to the main house. It is fully renovated, one-bedroom, completely private bathroom and kitchen facilities.

Second scenario is a nice private bedroom inside the main house, shared bathroom and shared kitchen (toilet and bathroom will mostly be yours except for occasional use by other carers).

The property is 20 acres, mostly paddocks but around the house is a couple of acres with amazing gardens and water features. There are sheep, chickens, and a cat called Sophie!

They are looking for someone more long-term, minim... more inside

So many local beauty spots and world class attractions nearby this small rural property located in the Huon Valley, in peaceful southern Tasmania is only 10 kms from the township of Huonville and a 30 minute drive south of Hobart. Help needed to clear a portion of the land, construct and maintain gardens and maintain the house, and perhaps some housework and scanning photos. Accommodation, tasty meals and friendly atmosphere offered in exchange for work, with plenty of time off to explore. Tasks could include brush cutting, some chainsawing (if suitably qualified), weeding, digging, fencing, "handyman" jobs and some painting etc so fitness and a practical approach or some experience in these tasks would be a definite advantage. Comfortable double room, shared family bathroom, free reliable wifi and private deck area to get away from it all, or join the household if you choose. You would also be welcome to join in social activities if you would like to. Main deck overlooks a large... more inside

Hi.. we are doing lots in the veggie and flower gardens for winter veggies. We are also building up our food business for afternoon tea bookings and farm shop.

The farm is not far from the beach and fantastic bush walks, we welcome people to stay with us and join in with farm activities, and cooking up a storm in the kitchen with some great local seafood or farm produce. We also have bikes and a kayak that need a bit of attention.

As well as working in the gardens, we are doing small building and general farm projects, see below a youtube video that gives a taste of helpex and farm stay visits to our farm.

Most of all we want your stay on our part of the coast to be interesting and enjoyable that balances the work you do...Our area is unbelievably beautiful!!

Hope to hear from you soon!

Cheers

Hello,

Ever wanted to learn how to make sausages?

Experiences the buzz of preparing a burger at a food festival?

Travel around Tasmania selling produce farmers markets?

Hold a new born piglet?

Travel around Tasmania?

Eat amazing Tasmanian produce?

We`re after some helpers who want to be part of our fun team. We are currently busy on the farm, and there are plenty of great projects and festivals happening. We`re building a chicken tractor, planting in our new vegetable garden and plan to start a barn. We`re also about to host a festival on the farm, which will be a lot of fun along with attending dark mofo as part of their winter feast.

A bit about us - we`re a young team running a free range pig, sheep and cattle farm in a really beautiful part of Tasmania. We work hard and play hard! Eating good food is a big part of what we do-we have restaurant quality food prepared by using fresh produce from the farm and garden and from other artisan producers in Tasman... more inside

...The Quiet Retreat , a Lifestyle Property...!!!

With only the help of real hard working wwoofer's/HelpX's , I started to built the house and clear the land , so this place is a BIG credit to all my helpers who worked hard , enjoyed their stay and left their footprint..!!!

As a wwoof host for 25 years , now I feel that for the helpers who come here , maybe , apart from the usual work , self improvement/development could be one of their priorities... a good library of books is available and some very nice music...

In the past I practiced Vipassana meditation/looked at Zen/Osho/Gurdjieff etc ...some of it is incorporated into the life here..I am in my extended spring life time...LOL....

Bush walking , connecting and appreciating nature, gardening, yoga , that is my young wife's specialty...

A Private Forest Reserve , 80 acre property, not a farm , not a party place , very very quiet here , lots of bush and lots of native animals...yes, wallaby's , wedge tail eagles ,... more inside
