Peter and I live in a small coastal suburb called Margate. It's is 22km from Hobart city centre. We have a dog called Humphrey, two cats - Claude and George, chickens, three sheep, goldfish and a large vegetable patch.
We would like anyone with painting skills to finish off the cabin which will be your accommodation. In general there is plenty of gardening, weeding, painting and general handyman maintenance to be done in return for meals and accommodation.
We supply:
Breakfast- bread, cereal, milk, tea and coffee
Lunch - sandwiches (ham, salami, salad)
Dinner - variety of foods
You prepare your own breakfast and lunch and we will share the cooking for dinner.
The bus is in easy walking distance (about 3km away). We both travel into the city every day and could do drop offs or pick ups.
Flexible work hours (4 hours per day) and free wifi.
*We accept no liability if you injure yourself on our property. It is your responsibility to have appropriate insurance in case of any a... more inside

NON SMOKERS ONLY! Currently have a vacancy for a helper for a few days or so, mainly doing housework and food preparation, but the only accommodation available is in a 4m canvas Bell Tent in my garden.
I (Yvonne) have a house in West Launceston, it is not a farm! Helpers assist me with cleaning, tidying & housework, gardening, weeding, feeding the chooks and cats, food preparation and cooking.
My house is a bit cluttered so I need YOUR help for a week or so to keep it clean and tidy, so this is not a suitable placement for helpers who don't want to do housework! Work hours depend on what I need you to do, so you must be flexible, but you will work an average of four hours a day. Minimum stay three nights.
I can collect/deliver you to/from anywhere in Launceston, the local bus depot or Launceston airport. You will be rewarded with good food and a friendly household. My homestay uni student can also speak Mandarin Chinese.
Helpers MUST be NON SMOKERS. Due to allergies and my wor... more inside

Hi, we are keen for help to switch a truck motor from a practical person who wants to assist with this. We are also building up our gardens and food business for afternoon tea bookings and farm shop. In short we are trying to make our property pay for itself and support us.
Accommodation is using guest accommodation when available with a small caravan on standby when the guest accommodation is required.
People think our food is also a feature of staying here, we hope you do too.

As well as working in the gardens, we are doing small building and general farm projects, see below a youtube video that gives a taste of helpex and farm stay visits to our farm.

We offer an insight into what we do and how life is on a small holding. We are keen for your help and hope your visit here in a small way enriches your life skills. Our coast is beautiful and we urge you to use your spare time to explore it...

Thanks!
Mike the Cook

Hi there,

I am currently looking for a helper to video and upload onto YouTube my Step by Step relationship enhancer course.....and help me with the marketing of it ....I think this will take approx 2-4? hours per day for 6-8 weeks.

I am looking for experienced horse people and/or a builder/diy handyman with the spirit to help create something great! What I expect from you is team spirit and a "let's do this" attitude.
I live on a beautiful off-grid property next to a mountain and the lovely Bluff River Gorge on the East Coast of Tasmania, approximately 1 hour from Hobart.
The daily tasks are mostly centered around the horses but meanwhile there are also heaps of other projects going on. We have some fences to build, wood needs to be chopped and split and many other smaller challenges occur every day.
However,it's not just about work of course. Music, dancing, laughing, good food, little road trips and interesting conversations are part of the package.

We have 3 main... more inside

We are located in the idyllic valley of Lorinna; an active, vibrant rural community with a strong cooperative ethos, frequent communal events and working bees, a food co-op, abundant wildlife and wonderfully clean soil, air and water.
We live on a property with several other households with whom we share work and resources and a stand-alone photovoltaic and micro-hydro power system.
We are a family of four with an 8 year old daughter and a 4 year old son whom we homeschool with a natural learning approach.
Last year we returned from a five month bicycle trip through Europe (planned around visiting some of the amazing friends we`ve made through Help X) and are keen to further embrace the joys of simplicity and are building a tiny home from reclaimed materials where we can live a more minimalist, outdoor lifestyle. We primarily need help with building and/or playing with the children while we build. Other projects we may be working on include playing in the vegetable garden, planni... more inside

Hello travellers! Our names are Claire and Jamie. We are a Christian family living in the beachside town of Dodges Ferry, Tasmania. We live with our X3 young children who have loads of energy :-). In exchange for a few hours work each day (cleaning, washing, teaching children, gardening, helping out as needed) We will provide accommodation, food, wifi etc. We are looking for a quite female short or long term depending on the person and the situation.
Free unlimited wifi included. Also can use our bikes and potential to use our second car if you have licence
We really enjoy meeting new people and we have grown from some beautiful experiences with helpers (who are now like family).
We also enjoy showing people around our amazing part of the world.
We regularly visit the family farm near Port Arthur as well so plenty of chances to see the countryside :-)
Most of all help X is about connecting with people and sharing in different cultures.
Thanks :-)

...The Quiet Retreat , a Lifestyle Property...!!!

With only the help of real hard working wwoofer's/HelpX's , I started to built the house and clear the land , so this place is a BIG credit to all my helpers who worked hard , enjoyed their stay and left their footprint..!!!

As a wwoof host for 25 years , now I feel that for the helpers who come here , maybe , apart from the usual work , self improvement/development could be one of their priorities... a good library of books is available and some very nice music...

In the past I practiced Vipassana meditation/looked at Zen/Osho/Gurdjieff etc ...some of it is incorporated into the life here..LOL..

Bush walking , connecting and appreciating nature, gardening, yoga , that is my young wife's specialty...

A Private Forest Reserve , 80 acre property, not a farm , not a party place , very very quiet here , lots of bush and lots of native animals...yes, wallaby's , wedge tail eagles , wombats , spiders , very friendly leeche... more inside
