G'day,
I'm Kerry, my property is a 3 acres bush block with ocean view & a small 1br shed house that I am renovating.

*Due to covid19 I have lost my job and now have restricted finances*

*However I am open to travelers who are happy to provide their own breakfast and lunch*
I will provide dinner only.

With the covid19 arrangement, I dont expect the usual hours of work considering I am not supplying all meals however, some help on the property would be greatly appreciated (2-3 hours per day)

*PLEASE do not email me unless you understand the covid19 arrangements*

Right now I am building a new vegetable growing area and creating soil mounds around the garden for planting.

The property is very much at the establishment & development phase with a long term goal to plant 700 Eucalyptus trees and transform what used to be an old rock quarry into a Eucalyptus Arboretum and Australian native garden.

I have 2 beautiful Kelpie dogs named Jarrah & Bracken, cat named Rusty p... more inside

Due to the current viral pandemic I can only accept helpers who have been in Tasmania since before March. Planet Sandi overlooks the rural village of St Marys near the north east coast of Tasmania. I am a retired gardener who is developing my retirement retreat which I am happy to share with visitors. I enjoy meeting travelers, fishing, cooking, art, dogs, cycle touring and being content with my world. I need assistance with fruit harvest, landscaping, construction and maintenance work to maximize the potential of my property. Helpers have the choice of three double bedrooms with shared bathroom. Shared cooking is encouraged. No smokers or illegal drug users. Five hours assistance five days. Helpers are welcome to join me fishing, walks, verandah gazing and story telling. Everybody is welcome at Planet Sandi especially mature aged helpers and families.

Currently due to covid 19 restrictions and the danger to my husband who is not in good health, we will not be able to offer our home to Helpx until the danger is over.
No helpers needed until after Easter. 1 or 2 helpers (couples preferred) needed for gardening, feeding animals, some light housework, bottle feeding baby wombats and joeys. Minimum stay 1 week, maximum depends on work available and helpers suitability.

Although Tasmania is cold during winter, it is always warm and cosy by the wood fire in the evenings.

We're an easy going family, we are after a hand just helping about with the little jobs that need to be done at our farm house (ours for almost 30 years now :), situated just 35 minutes out of Launceston on the Frankford Hwy or 40min drive from the spirit of Tasmania boat, Devonport.
Own car not essential but as we are not close to public transport makes it easier to get about during time off.

We like happy, positive people who are easy going and have good ... more inside

HOBART RIVERFRONT HOSTS: Friendly, kind, fair hosts need help with renovating; gardening; landscaping and housework.

****Summer saw us doing lots of Landscaping & gardening projects: beginnings of a new deck and a huge pergola for our new vegetable garden. It also saw many guests come and go and then come back AGAIN! Christmas and New Year were lots of fun, with Juliet, Deborah,Antoine and Ulysses (all French) back again to celebrate X-Mas. Raphael (New Caledonia) was also here 3 weeks. David (UK) was here for 3 weeks. Mel (France) and Kyle (Canada) arrived beginning of January, for 6 week stay. Everybody who came over the Summer returned for another stay with us before leaving Tas, with Deb and Ulysses being the most recent departures ...after coming and going from our place 7 times over Summer...they couldn’t stay away!

March update: Raphael has moved back in with us, for however long this CO-VID 19 situation lasts... and WE AREN’T HOSTING ANY NEW HELPERS AT THIS TIME.... more inside

Hi, my name is Claire.

I`m a part-time painter, decorator and landscaper who enjoys meeting people and helping make your stay a delightful treasured experience.

Welcome to my secluded eco-wilderness home, gateway to the Tarkine. I built the place from scratch, starting off in a tent 25 years ago in a desire to be as self-sufficient as possible. The solar powered chalet, crafted mainly from timber off the property, is furnished with comfy old world charm and modern amenities. Nestled in landscaped gardens on the banks of the pristine Hook Creek in the Shakespeare Hills and just a 15min drive to beaches and Rocky Cape National Park. This private 50 acre rainforest property is the perfect getaway for those seeking to experience and learn about establishing and living off the grid with solar power and slow combustion stove whilst having a unique wilderness adventure.

I’m wanting to host either a single or couple to help around house and garden and hear and learn about others ... more inside

NON SMOKERS ONLY!
I am in self-isolation until mid April, as I have just returned home from the Tasmanian Rainbow Gathering where there were a lot of International people!
Do contact me if you were seeking a Helpx placement from mid April. Due to the current Corona Virus pandemic I can only accept helpers who have arrived in Tasmania before the 1st of March. Accomodation is in a 5m canvas Bell Tent.. with a real double bed in it!
I (Yvonne) have a house in West Launceston, it is not a farm! Helpers assist me with cleaning, tidying & housework, gardening, weeding, feeding the chooks & cats and food preparation.
My house is a bit untidy and cluttered so I need YOUR help for a few days to a week or so to keep it clean and tidy. Work hours depend on what I need you to do, so you must be flexible, but you will work an average of four hours a day.
Minimum stay three nights. I can collect/deliver you to/from anywhere in Launceston, the local bus depot or Launceston airport.

Hello Helpers,

I am Lalita and my husband is Bruce. We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine Pole home, built 36 years ago by owners.

You will enjoy magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls.

We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining.

We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4 hours work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests.

Previous gardening experience is essential as well as cooking/helping with evening meals, household duties and other jobs as required. The shopping centre and bus stops are close by, 15 minutes to the city of Hobart and 5 mins to a pristine beach, bush reserve, and fishing.
