Hello Helpers,

*** URGENT NEED HELPER FROM First week December. I have dislocated my shoulder. ****

I am Lalita and my husband is Bruce. We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine home, built 35 years ago by owners. Our home is a Wellness Home so you will be drinking clean filtered water and sleep on a sleep system giving restful, replenishing sleep. You will never tire of the magical views of the ocean and mountain and will wake to the sounds of the wild birds that flock to our food and water bowls. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining.

We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4 hours work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests.

Previous gardening experience is essential as well as coo... more inside

28/07/2019: Our second time hosting went great (thanks Catherine and Stephane). We now have houseguests so we will not be hosting much between now and November.

06/04/2019: Today we said farewell to our very first helper Ran. She was a great help!

We recently (Feb 2019) moved to a beautiful 34 acre farm located only 20 minutes south of Hobart which we are planning on turning into our dream homestead. The property is very quiet with two beautiful dams and lots of bird life. Our long term vision is to create a sustainable homestead that is largely self-sufficient, especially in terms of food... more inside

Please do not include me in a group message to other hosts. Helpers need to confirm they have their own work cover/accident insurance, protective work boots, clothing and sun screen lotion.
Planet Sandi overlooks the rural village of St Marys near the north east coast of Tasmania. I am a retired gardener who is developing my retirement retreat which I am happy to share with visitors. I enjoy meeting travelers, fishing, cooking, art, dogs, cycle touring and being content with my world. I need assistance with landscaping, construction and maintenance work to maximize the potential of my property. Helpers have the choice of three double bedrooms with shared bathroom. My diet is mainly vegetarian with some fish and chicken. Shared cooking is encouraged. No smokers or illegal drug users. Alcohol in moderation is okay but you provide. Five hours assistance five days. Helpers are welcome to join me fishing, walks, verandah gazing and story telling. I don't have a TV preferring to listen t... more inside

...The Quiet Retreat , a Lifestyle Property...!!!

With only the help of real hard working wwoofer's/HelpX's , I started to built the house and clear the land , so this place is a BIG credit to all my helpers who worked hard , enjoyed their stay and left their footprint..!!!

As a wwoof host for 25 years , now I feel that for the helpers who come here , maybe , apart from the usual work , self improvement/development could be one of their priorities... a good library of books is available and some very nice music...

In the past I practiced meditation/looked at Zen/Osho/Gurdjieff etc ...some of it is incorporated into the life here I hope..LOL..

Bush walking , connecting and appreciating nature, gardening, enjoying life music , that is my young wife's specialty...

A Private Forest Reserve , 80 acre property, not a farm , not a party place , very very quiet here , lots of bush and lots of native animals...yes, wallaby's , wedge tail eagles , wombats , spiders , very frien... more inside

Do you love nature? what about off grid living? How about great food and great company? How about learning some new skills? We need your help with our dream. We have built an earthship (with lots of help already) and want to share in this type of building design. We are located in a gorgeous mountain/ bush setting, totally off grid. We make electricity from solar, and our water comes from a mountain spring. The taskswe do are different everyday as we hope to teach many things to our fellow travellers. Some jobs include; cob making, bottle brick making, rendering, gardening, landscaping, working on a hugle wall (a living wall), horse care, harvesting and much more. No experience necessary, just your creative loving hands. Though, if you are skilled in carpentry, construction and earth dwellings then we could use your expertise. Such is the life on a property in the bush. You can sleep in a tipi, or a hut and camping space is also available. In December you may need your own tent as o... more inside
