** We are now fully booked out for June **

Tasmania is very cold at night in Winter but daytimes may be very sunny and warm with beautiful blue skies-we do not work at night!

In June, July and August (Australian Winter) we will rake the leaves that fall from the large Oak tree and make fires with them, clear leaves from ditches/trenches, dig ditches/trenches, move many small rocks and do weeding weeding weeding !-this is not hard work and no experience is needed but you will get a bit wet and dirty sometimes so if you don't like getting dirty when helping, this may not be a good place for you. Winter is the best time to do weeding as the ground is soft and wet.

We are offering a HOMESTAY HELPING experience in country Tasmania for 1 FEMALE ONLY for safety reasons of my grandchildren. Helper must have a very happy friendly personality and be fit and healthy. PLEASE read all of my host listing before messaging thank you as it contains all the information you should need.

We are looking for some help renovating our large organic vegetable garden. We are planning on installing 10 raised beds.

We live overlooking Bruny island on a beautiful 12 acre property - with two self-contained guest cottages. We also have a small vineyard.

We moved to the over property in October 2015, and Russel's mum, Helen, who resides on the property, looks after the cottages and the bookings. We also work as veterinarians and look after the property ourselves on our days off. We have a pesticide-free vegetable garden, our own bee hives and a whole flock of chooks and ducks.

Accommodation is a private downstairs bedroom with its own bathroom, queen bed and unlimited high speed NBN wifi, with shared living spaces and kitchen. The house has a wrap-around glass conservatory, keeping it super warm and providing stunning sea views. We have two feline 'kids', who live indoors with us. We are largely vegetarian.

Kettering is a short walk down the road, and the ferry to ... more inside

Hi Helpers,

Update 18/06/2019: * Vacancies available*

After our first lovely helper left we decided we needed to take a break to get organised before hosting again. I am pleased to announced that we are back on track and are ready to host again!

#Over these coming cooler months we are available for shorter stays as the weather really limits the amount of outdoor jobs that can be completed (during this period there may be more indoor duties as discussed below). Upcoming outdoor jobs include fencing and weeding. So you will need to have a reasonable level of fitness.#

06/04/2019: Today we said farewell to our very first helper Ran. She was a great help! However, we have realised that we need to get organised before taking on another helper. Especially with the cooler weather approaching. There are a few jobs that we need to undertake to create helper suitable jobs.

We recently (Feb 2019) moved to a beautiful 34 acre farm located only 20 minutes south of Hobart which w... more inside

Hello Helpers,

I am Lalita and my husband is Bruce. We are offering travelers a warm, comfortable two-story Celery Top Pine home, built 35 years ago by owners. Our home is a Wellness Home so you will be drinking clean filtered water and sleep on a sleep system giving restful, replenishing sleep. We aspire to a sustainable way of living and adore our large established organic garden, which we are needing help with maintaining.

We ask helpers to provide a minimum of 4 hours work each day for 5 days with two full days off. If you would like a day off after working a few days we ask you to make up the hours on other days. We are also very flexible and happy to listen to your requests.

### Winter Hibernation has started and as it will be too cold in the Caravan , first helpers vacancy would normally be in August , BUT , the days are shorter and winter has not arrived yet , contact us and we shall try to fit you in... ...Thanks ...!!

...The Quiet Retreat , a Lifestyle Property...!!!

With only the help of real hard working wwoofer's/HelpX's , I started to built the house and clear the land , so this place is a BIG credit to all my helpers who worked hard , enjoyed their stay and left their footprint..!!!

As a wwoof host for 25 years , now I feel that for the helpers who come here , maybe , apart from the usual work , self improvement/development could be one of their priorities... a good library of books is available and some very nice music...

In the past I practiced Vipassana meditation/looked at Zen/Osho/Gurdjieff etc ...some of it is incorporated into the life here..LOL..

So many local beauty spots and world class attractions nearby – this small rural property is located in the Huon Valley, in peaceful southern Tasmania. Help needed to clear a small portion of the land, construct and maintain gardens and maintain the house, and perhaps some housework and scanning photos if it's raining! Accommodation, tasty meals and friendly atmosphere offered in exchange for work, with plenty of time off to explore. Tasks could include brush cutting, some chainsawing (if suitably qualified), weeding, digging, fencing (nothing major), "handyman" jobs etc so fitness and a practical approach or some experience in these tasks would be a definite advantage. Comfortable double room, shared family bathroom, free reliable wifi and private deck area to get away from it all, or join the household if you choose. You would also be welcome to join in social activities if you would like to. Main deck overlooks a large dam with resident platypus which can be seen almost every day... more inside

very scenic 5 acres of organic fruit vegetables and flowers only 10 minutes drive south of Hobart and 5 minutes to the centre of Kingston. We have 2 co joined houses on the property, we live in one and the other with 2 double bedrooms is vacant. I'm hoping to meet a couple or single that know about gardening and are happy to do 4 hours work a day, in exchange for room board and occasional use of my car.
Our family is vegan, we have a 3 year old, 3 crazy little dogs, 6 chooks, 4 geese, 3 drakes and 10 guinea fowl. We love the quiet life and we love growing all our own food and want to expand the range of fruit and veg that we grow.
