** Christmas will soon be here, what will you be doing? **

We'd like to hear from a couple or small family wanting to find a cosy home for Christmas. This is a little different from our normal HelpX projects and the only help needed is looking after the house, 18 chickens and a lovely cat. For this Christmas period we can only consider people with excellent reviews and ideally, though not essentially, you will have your own transport.

***

Our normal HelpX programme has now finished for this year and we will start taking people again from around April next year. So if you are interested in a place for 2020, read on and get in touch! Unlike the Christmas period, previous good HelpX reviews are not essential, but what you tell us about yourself and why you want to stay is important to us, so do read our profile properly as we don't consider people who are just 'spamming'!

We are Jane and Dave. We live in a small village in rural Lincolnshire in the East of England where ... more inside

** Looking for an individual who is coming for reasons of cultural exchange or an apprenticeship **

Hi, My name is Andy and I have been hosting people for many years now.
I appreciate spending my time with people like me who want to learn more about this strange and wonderful planet we all occupy. I get on with people who care about others and want to learn more about themselves. I have learnt a lot from my time hosting people and this journey continues.

Whether you are an introvert, extrovert or an inbetweener like me :-) then I hope you will consider my offer and if you are unsure then we can always have an informal chat or call before any decision is made so all questions can be asked.

I am a well-educated person and believe that life is a continual learning experience, I like listening to the music of most genres, watching a good film and watching documentaries. I am interested in matters of environmental sustainability, current affairs, psychology, history, politics,... more inside

Looking for help from 1st October 2019

We live by the sea in Devon, in the South West of England, half an hour from the wonderful Dartmoor National Park, 25 minutes from the beautiful city of Exeter. The nearest train station with trains to London every couple of hours is just a short walk away.

We live 5 minutes walk away from the beach and harbour.

In exchange for about 4.5 hours work a day, 5-6 days a week, you will have accomodation, decent wifi and all meals, including a packed lunch if you are going out for the day. We eat a vegan diet (no meat, diary or eggs). It would be great if you are vegan too, but of course that's not a requirement! We'll give you plenty of tips to help you cook vegan food :) The work hours you are required to do need to be flexible around the family - depending what needs doing that day - but ideally if you are confident to cook a simple evening meal for the majority of the week, and do an hour or two housework, working on your own, that's ... more inside
