Welcome to Wales. Was a traveller, now a host. Stay in a farmhouse surrounded by nature, and help to look after and walk Sled dogs and Sheep dogs.
You can also learn about dog training, handling and grooming, if you want too.

This is a peaceful and secluded farm in the Welsh countryside ( with WiFi ), a quiet place to get away from it all, maybe do some meditation and get in touch with nature.
Dog Training, Dog Handler training, Rehabilitating aggressive dogs, and Sheepdog training are some of the things that happen here.

The work is cleaning kennels, refreshing water bowls, walking the dogs 2 times a day. First in the morning, and again in the afternoon, and then letting the dogs out for a wee last thing each night just before bedtime. A little help around the farm and in the house if needed.

4 hours of work/walking dogs a day maximum - 2 hours in the morning, and 1 1/2 hours in the afternoon and 1/2 hour last thing to put the dogs to bed for the night.
In exchange f... more inside

My name is Teresa and I own and run Treseisyllt Farm on the north Pembrokeshire coast.
I grew up in Wales and after university, lived and worked in London for a number of years. During that time I travelled extensively to many parts of the world.
I returned to Wales to renovate the house and farm twelve years ago.

THE AREA
The farm is situated on the coast in the PEMBROKESHIRE NATIONAL PARK between Fishguard and the small city of St. Davids with its ancient cathedral.
There is direct access to the beach, cliffs and the world-famous coastal path.

There are lots of activities nearby which include hiking, surfing, kayaking, music, photography and arts and crafts to name but a few.

THE FARM
Treseisyllt is a small (20 hectares/50 acres) traditional farm with a flock of Welsh pedigree sheep and 3 young horses.

CAMPSITE.
We have a "nearly wild" campsite in a very large field with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside and the ocean. It is limited to t... more inside

Generally we are looking for help with weeding, planting, and packing vegetables and eggs. we need someone who is able to do physical work.

We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude and plenty of energy.

On the farm we have vegetables, apple trees and salad crops, Work will be in the field or the polytunnels, sewing seeds as well as sorting eggs. We have chickens, sheep and cats
We use no-dig, forest gardening and permaculture techniques. We are firmly rooted in the organic principles and wish to contribute towards food security for the local community.

Our place consists of 17 acres of south facing pasture and woodland.
The location is rural, but only two miles from the small town of Newcastle Emlyn, and 8 miles from the sea.
There are castles and beaches to visit, as well as footpaths to go walking by woods and rivers.

We live on a 27 acre smallholding in south west Wales. We have been here since January 2019. The farm was neglected for almost 40 years so we have a huge amount of infrastructure work to do. Although we weren't really ready for animals - no livestock fencing!! - in our enthusiasm, we went ahead and got some.... 10 goats, 15 chickens, 2 cockerels, 2 pigs and we already had 2 ponies. Our intentions are to become as self sustaining as possible, producing our own milk, cheese, eggs, meat, wool, fibre. The work we are currently focusing on is fencing, gates, re-establishing the polytunnel, tree cutting (and, later, re-planting) for timber, firewood and woodchip (for animal bedding). We also need to put a new roof on the barn, build field shelters for the horses and goats, build new barns to accommodate animals in winter and store hay/feeds and restore a derelict cottage.... the list goes on and on! We also want to create some man made beauty around the place.

We have a couple of carav... more inside
