We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children, living on a dairy farm, with polytunnels and raised beds for vegetable growing.

We cater for both vegetarian and non vegetarian volunteers. If they wish, vegetarians can prepare their own meals. Claire is limited in her experience of cooking principally vegetarian food but is learning fast!

We will need people for seed sowing and transplanting in Spring and early Summer. Gerard would also need help sometimes with milking the cows, especially in the mornings. This job is done twice a day During Autumn and Winter, we would be doing some stone clearance, building of walls and paths and some general maintenance of the tunnels etc. /we don`t take people in December as there is little work to be done on the farm at this time.

We have recently converted a farm barn into a 2 bedroom unit with a kitchenette/living room area and a bathroom. It can accommodate up to 3 people, but usually we take 2 people at a time,... more inside

Hi. We are a small hostel, B&B located in Medieval Cashel town in central Ireland. We are looking for more volunteers to join us for 5 weeks. We prefer a mature, self-motivated person who is good at house keeping & like to take part of hosting guests in Hostel, B&B.

In exchange for only 18 hours help per week, 3 hours per day. We offer a free dorm bed, free Wifi, free tea, coffee, laundry facilities & one day off per week. We don't offer any meal but our volunteers often cook together in the fully equipped hostel kitchen. The grocery is pretty cheap to buy in 4 big supermarkets here. There are 12 pubs, an old castle, cafes & restaurants in this historical town. We need help with cleaning rooms, toilets, showers, kitchens, ironing & reception. Just some simple daily tasks to keep our place clean & tidy. Please contact us with a profile photo if you are interested. We look forward to hearing from you.

I run a small part-time thoroughbred breeding concern in Co. Monaghan. I currently have 3 mares and 1 2year-old.

The day starts off with an early morning feed and some training with the 2 year-old which takes about 45 minutes. The horses are then turned out for the day and the next horse job is a feed in the middle of the day followed by another at 9pm before the horses are turned out again for the night. Ocassionally if a horse is sick or has an injury it may be confined to it's stable so some mucking-out is required. From November to March the horses are stabled at night so mucking-out duties are required during this period.

I also have a few sheep and 2 cats.

If you are willing to help you will need to be very experienced around horses as the horses are racehorses and they can be unpredictable and are very powerful. In return the horses give you lots of pleasure. I also travel the horses to Stud farms and Racecourses during the year so if you're happy to come along you w... more inside
