Hi there! I have a lovely peaceful, country home with an organic garden near the centre of Ireland and near the ancient and pagan Hill of Uisneach. People travelled from all over the world here in pre-Christian days, so you won`t be the first! Its about 1.5hrs from Dublin and similarly from Galway. Looking for help with gardening and housework including some indoor painting if it suits, free vegetarian food and bed plus some lifts if required. We look forward to hearing from you! Hoping it will be both fun and learning for all! Sorry no dogs as I have 2 cats who wouldn`t be impressed! Hope to see you soon! Richard

Help needed in second half of May

We live in a rural area and have a large garden. Our family has grown up and no longer live at home. There is always work to be done in the garden so people with some gardening experience or people willing to do some weeding or planting are very welcome. In May we need help replanting a small area that was covered over for the Winter and also help with our vegetable patch. We have a slightly more long-term plan to erect a willow fence and lay some paving slabs. If the weather is bad we have some spring cleaning and painting to be done in the house. We live in an Irish speaking area but the community here is, of course, bilingual. The area is renowned for its traditional music and dance. We speak fluent English and Irish and some French and German. You will have your own room with every comfort and the house has two bathrooms. The house is big enough to allow you to be part of the family or have privacy if you need it. We would like you to work 4... more inside

I've a mobile home available for the summer, there is plenty going on and it would make a great base for the summer for a couple or 3 people. there's 2 bedrooms and a sitting room with a sofa that turns into a bed. It is independent from the house and has it's own cooking facilities. It's best to shower in the house although there is a shower in the caravan, there is always hot water in the house from the roof.
There's plenty happening locally, my grown up children are flown the coop, although they haven't gone far. Eleanor works in the tunnels sometimes, but has qualified as a herbalist and will be moving that side of her life forward. We have 10 acres on the road for a new project and are taking it slowly. we will open the farm shop there this summer and I'd like you to help with keeping it open as part of the exchange as well as help pulling the garden and tunnels back together. If you have nursery experience or are a carpenter or plummer, there can be some wages involved ... more inside

BY THE SEA IN A WALKERS PARADISE
***Are you available to help***

We run an art gallery, coffee shop/wine bar and music venue on the beautiful Sheep`s Head Peninsula, West Cork. We live here with my two young teenage boys, one dog, and three cats, flock of chickens and also a few fish.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT US.
We grow Organic vegetables in our polytunnel, keep chickens for fresh eggs daily, we would eat vegetarian food a lot of the time.

LOCATION
We are by the sea in a walkers` paradise; this is also the opportunity to meet other international travelers of all ages in the gallery/wine bar who resonate with nature (walking/cycling) or are interested in the arts or just relaxing in the sea air.
Though this is a wild, rural area, there is a wealth of culture on the peninsulas, pubs, restaurants, fishing, music etc and the thriving seaside town of Bantry is just a 15-mile drive.

CAN YOU HELP WITH.....
I'll be needing help serving and working in the cafe/wine bar ... more inside
