Would you like to spend a little while in Ireland's medieval capital, Kilkenny!?? We are looking for people from around August 20th for a few weeks to a month or longer! We also need lovely people to help us in September and onwards.

You'd help us with general duties, cleaning and making beds. There will also be lots of time to hang out with the other helpers, meet the hostel guests and have a great time in Kilkenny. We are also happy to chat about things you're good at too. So if you can play music, or take amazing photos that we can use on our website, or you're great at blogging, or want to organise social activities for our guests then tell us!! Let's chat about what you'd like to do and see if it would be good for us :-)

As well as our normal day to day activities we've been cleaning/fixing things to get the place looking great for the busy summer season ahead. We'd like you to help out 3-4 hours a day. Of course you'll also get weekly days off too! It would be amazing ... more inside

We are a farm in the west of Ireland. We work predominantly with horses. We are looking for some helpers to help with the horses preferably for a month or longer as it takes a while to get used to how the yard runs. I work full time outside the home . Johnny works the farm and full time in the yard we have two children Robyn is 18 and Aaron is 14 so no babysitting needed. But maybe the odd hand cooking dinner or tidying up. so if you're interested in horses and passing through the West of Ireland give us a shout. Any other experience of working/riding horses would be a bonus you must be happy to fit in with family life. We are a farm/ horse stud that breeds and brings on horses we also keep livery horses for clients. we keep hunters and a few showjumpers. We are situated in the west of Ireland 30kms from galway city not far from the edge of the burren.
we would like any helpx for short or long term to help out with the farm and house (sheep and cattle occasionally) but mostly wit... more inside

I run a small part-time thoroughbred breeding concern in Co. Monaghan. I currently have 3 mares and 1 2year-old.

The day starts off with an early morning feed and some training with the 2 year-old which takes about 45 minutes. The horses are then turned out for the day and the next horse job is a feed in the middle of the day followed by another at 9pm before the horses are turned out again for the night. Ocassionally if a horse is sick or has an injury it may be confined to it's stable so some mucking-out is required. From November to March the horses are stabled at night so mucking-out duties are required during this period.

I also have a few sheep and 2 cats.

If you are willing to help you will need to be very experienced around horses as the horses are racehorses and they can be unpredictable and are very powerful. In return the horses give you lots of pleasure. I also travel the horses to Stud farms and Racecourses during the year so if you're happy to come along you w... more inside

** Place available immediately (August) to cover cancellation.
Also looking for helpers for September, October, November or December for 1 month**

We are a hostel and guesthouse in Waterford city in the sunny south-east of Ireland and we are looking for volunteers to stay for 1 month starting at various times over the next 4 months.
Waterford is the oldest city in Ireland (1100 years old) - it`s an hour and three quarters from both Cork and Dublin and well served by rail and buses. The city itself has lots of festivals and plenty to see and do. Nearby there are some of Ireland`s nicest beaches and surf spots at Tramore and Dunmore East.

The property is currently in operation, as a hostel and guesthouse - we need help with all aspects of the property - cleaning, changing beds, laundry, reception etc. etc. etc. and very importantly, talking and socialising with the guests. Sometimes we also need help with basic maintenance (painting and decorating etc.) particularly in the w... more inside
