Dear friends,

The camps we organise are directed mainly on children from Russia.

We are a family of four; Janet, my husband Toni and our children Hugo (3) and Doris (1). Also we do have a small dog.
We live on a countryside in Northern Ostrobothnia. The village we live in is quite small and surrounded by nature. There are lots of fields, forest and beautiful beaches.

I'm a cook, so I really enjoy cooking and baking on my spare time too. My husband likes to do different sports and go hunting on his spare time.
Usually we just want to spend time as a family, watch movies, go outdoor and go to sauna, relax.
We also have a cottage in Kuusamo, where we often spend holidays.

We would hope you to do light housework on weekdays while we work. Like doing dishes, laundry, vacuuming (not everyday)..
Also it would be nice if you would walk the dog, and watch after the kids every now and then so I could do grocery shopping/shower etc.

We would like you to be social, have a sense of humor, and obviously get along with the kids and dog. :)
We could offer you ... more inside

CALL FOR HELPERS

Our place is located between Turku and Helsinki in the village of Karjalohja on a beautiful hill with a view over fields with crops and horses. Only with a 7 minutes walk you reach the shore of the clean protected Enäjärvi Lake, where we do fishing, rowing, sailing, swimming, picnic, or take tours to the islands. Big forests with berries and mushrooms also surround us. You reach to the Turku-Helsinki express bus stop in 15 minutes with our biogas car. To reach the nearest small village with shop, library, spa, etc. takes 12 minutes by car and 35 minutes on bicycle.

Now this place serves our circle of partners and friends and we hope that one day it can also serve a larger circle. Eventually, it can also become an artist residence and an experimental ground for artistic, ecologic and holistic lifestyle development.

The project
We are developing an old farm into an ecological self-sustainable unit. We are growing biodynamic food and exploring experiments i... more inside

After travelling around the world and living in several countries in Asia and Europe and several States in USA, I am now stationed in Helsinki, at least for a while. Therefore, I think it's time to sharpen my European language skill sets.

So, I have a tandem offer of accommodation in return of teaching / practicing any of the languages: Finnish, Swedish, German, Spanish. Btw, I have studied all 4 languages mentioned, in university, for a year or two, but haven't got enough chance to use them. So, I dont really speak them. And since I am at work during the day, so, I can't really go to lesson anymore either. Which means, you're free during the days. That's why looking for a language buddy with whom I would be able to practice the language and cultural experiences before going to sleep, more like a "Sleeping Dictionary".

And since you will be sharing the same apartment with me, so, help is also expected to keep the apartment tidy and organized since I am a very tidy and organize... more inside

We are Marja (finnish sign language interpreter, homemom, from Finland) and Mick (carpenter, from Ireland) and we have two small kids Leo (born 2014) and Luna (born 2016). We live in the countryside in North Karelia 20 km from Joensuu center.

Our project is to build a small straw bale round house to be our home. We have decided to settle down in Finland and after a few years of thinking we decided to build our own home instead of buying an old house. After that decision was made we bought 5 hectares of land in December 2016. We bought it very close (500m) from where we live now and also close to an organic farm Pikkunuppu where Marja has grown up.

We have now cleared the road to the house, gotten building permission and had the trees cut to boards for the house. After we got the building permission we cleared the building plot from trees and we did a natural stone foundation. The foundation of the house is ready as is the foundation for the chimney. In year 2018 we completed... more inside

Hey!

Im half finnish half Algerian creative person.

I live alone in old house in the deep of middle-Carelia lands. Peaceful atmosphere and clear waters around. The house is close to Pyhäselkä lake wich is one the biggest lake areas in Finland.

There is also good newtwork of other hosts at the area. There is plenty of beautiful places around and forests are full of berrys, mushrooms, wild plants.

I have car so we can exlpore the area when we have time. Closest neighbour is at 200m, so its calm and relaxing place.

Great place to close your mind and stop thinking, drink tee, vodka or whatever you want. This is a total wild food bath. Here I have traditional finnish sauna.

I need help for example to collect nature resources and make all kinfd of funky things from thme, making firewood, heating the house, cooking food, cleaning, etc.

At the winter time there might be bit of snow work to do. Im looking for person who has little bit of experience about warming the hous... more inside

Hey you! I am a single mother of a lovely son Milo, born in Jan 2018. We live in a 3 room flat in Helsinki, Mellunmäki. Helsinki is a lively city, with lots to offer. I haven't had a helpxr yet, who wouldn't have fallen for Helsinki.

We are looking for someone to look after Milo every now n then (usually a few hours at a time), do some light house work and join us on our adventures. We are outgoing and are looking for someone, who would like to see how life in Finland is and teach us a bit about your culture too. I strongly believe the best part about being a host is not to only show my own culture, but to learn about yours too. Having such a young kid, I can't really travel all that much myself, so I love the fact, that I can still bring culture to my life!

Our lifestyle is hakunamatata, we don't want to stress abt the smallest things. Milo is super social, he gets along with everyone. I am talkative too, unless I watch netflix, which I do too much. Oh, nice to know: I am ... more inside
