About us:
We are one of the larger experienced organic vegetable farms in Sweden still active and have accepted volonteers since 1991.

We are a certified organic vegetable farm that produces food for local consumption. We grow an abundance of vegetables and potatoes on 4 to 5 of our 50ha and on the rest, grains of many heirloom varieties of wheat and rye for our small home bakery.

Our vegetables are mainly sold through subscription baskets commonly called CSA (community supported agriculture) locally. We were the first in Sweden with CSA and have two "daughter" farms with whom we shared the way to start.

For more pictures see "bilder" on our website. See videos where we pack the CSA baskets there and also on cooking and nature walk in English.

We are in the process of reestablishing a permaculture designed forestgarden.

Time scheme:
We usually accept helpers for vegetable farming from Mid-February through mid-December.We are now planning the time after 21st of Au... more inside

We are a British family living in Southern Sweden.
Helen and Martin met through Scouting and the open-hearted, generous, communal way of life close to nature is a fairly good starting point for our ethos. Good humoured practicality, tolerance and flexibility in as low demand a lifestyle as possible. Both of our boys have neuro-psychiactic differences/challenges and this family has weathered more than a few storms in the last decade.

We have a property with much potential for hosting van-lifers, travellers, campers and so on. We are interested in education and personal development, managing adversity whilst enjoying life and supporting others, and more specifically outdoor activities, handcrafts and we are Viking re-enactors.

We used to host Couchsurfers occasionally and we had a few contacts return to work on the property, informally, to improve our ability to host guests. More recently we have realised that there are travellers out there who enjoy helping a host, building,... more inside

We are a Finnish couple; have been together more than twenty years, living 12 years in Sweden on a horse farm on the island Visingso in the lake Vattern. We speak Finnish, English and Swedish.
We live here together with our 12 horses (9 trotters and 3 Icelandic horses). We also have 6 cats and 2 dogs as family members.
Our way of handling horses is based on trust, respect and love of horses, building relationships and communication by understanding horse nature and psychology.

We are a family of four and have small farm at the coast of the Baltic sea close to Oskarshamn. The farmhouse is more than a hundred years old and is located just a few meters away from a lake, which we can use exclusively for fishing, swimming and anything else.

A good work-life-balance is very important for us, and this is also what we have in mind for our helpers. It's not only working here, we also want to show our helpers the laid back Swedish lifestyle here at the Eastern coast. Both sides should feel that they did benefit from your stay at our place.

Hein: I was born in the north of Germany, and my profession as a carpenter has a very important role in the realization of our dream life. I’ve always felt at home out in nature, fishing, sailing or mushroom picking,. I like to work in the garden and cultivate home-grown fruits and vegetables.

Astrid: I love living in the nature and the freedom here in Sweden. By profession I’m a surgery nurse, nature and the garden ar... more inside
