Who are we?

I am Julie, a Waldorf high school teacher and a horse trainer and my husband is a contractor. We are both almost 30 years old.
We have a 4 month old baby. After many travels and different projects we are now settling down. We bought and old farmhouse and some land, both in very bad shape. We hope to renovate the house in a sustainable way and use the land to slowly become self-sufficient. This is a long term goal and it will take many years to achieve it.

We do everything ourselves.

So we need help.

We decided to look for someone (or 2) using Help x because we used the site ourselves to travel around and we really loved it.

Are you fond of working in the garden, working on the land, working with horses or building work, or a combination of all of them?

Are you a respectful honest and kind person?

Are you willing to work hard?

Contact us!

What can you expect?

You will have your own room and bathroom and you can use the living spaces. We ex... more inside

We live in an old farm in a dead-end road. The farm and its surroundings need some repairs and some refreshments.

It's a quiet and natural place, with some forest, ponds, and old fields, in a village called Schadeck, near Arlon (BE - 10 min) and Luxembourg (LU - 30 min). There are a lot of "little work" to do, like preparing some farming or restoring some stuff, so I though this is a good solution. We mainly use recycled materials or things we find to "repair" this place. We have the electricity almost everywhere (yeah, yeah ! It is now better...), running water and WIFI (kind of stable now !)...

We are 4 guys living here (26->28), with a friendly dog, and two cats (and now six chickens too...) and a lot of people passing by with a lot of other dogs. We eat sometime fish but barely no meat, and a lot of cheese and bread we cook on fire, so that's the kind of meal we are offering. Oh, and we love music, so a lot of music, and there are a lot of musical instrument here.

Hello there, we are An and Dries and the kids: Joke, Arke, Nelke and Bieke.
Our project consists of building a "Natural House".
We just finished building our temporary house (42m²) and next year we plan to build our final house. Both are (going to be) roundwood timber frame with strawbale infill.

We are mainly looking for volunteers to help us splitting and stashing wood, shoveling sand and working in the garden. There is a lot of work to do. In combination with this you can also help in the household. This can include helping in the kitchen, helping or playing with the kids,...

We are looking for workawayers that can work independent and with other volunteers. Normally we try to work together, side by side with the people who volunteer, but this is not always possible in the next months.

You must have some affinity with natural building or natural gardening.
You don't need special skills to come and help, having a good motivation, be eager to learn and have an eye for... more inside

Hi there,
We are Floor (32) and Bruno (40), living in a little house on 8000 m² of land, which is becoming more beautiful every day. It is our wish that this place may be a home where natural exchange can happen, where we aim for the Highest, and we have space for all. Until now, we have really enjoyed hosting people from all over the world, and we are up for more :-)

The 100-year old house is small, but it has an extra room for guests and there is the old ‘baking house’ which we use as a tiny guest house, big enough for couples. In summer, we can up a large tent in the back for those of you who like camping. So you are welcome to join the fun!

The land has a vegetable garden, fruit trees, berries, a greenhouse, and lots of space for nature: wild flowers, trees popping up here and there, buzzing bees and singing birds...

We don't have jobs and so we have no fixed income but plenty of time, which also adds to our efforts to live in a simple self-sustainable way. Money does ... more inside

As a couple we love nature and me i'm a guide in the forest near the garden park (Fort Beieren). We love to work together with tourists who like to visit the middle age city of Brugge for 2 or 3 days. The center is on 2km. You can use our 2 bikes or you can take a buss (number 4) on 40m from our house. You can sleep in our summer challet, who is warmed up during wintertime. In your little home is not tv connection but only wifi. You will feel free and are looking in the beautiful garden where you can enjoy, walk and work. We will serve you a good breakfast in the morning or a meal during the day. You can choose when. Your job will be most gardenwork: cutting en sorting branches,or other garden winter work. My husband Erik will explain all. After 4 hours you will be totaly free in a very nice envirment. Smoking is forbidden because it is a wooden house. You are very welcome!
