Hello,
we are an open-minded, young couple and we try to live without too much impact on our environment.

We just finished our own journey on our tandem bicycle with quite some HelpX experiences as helpers. We settled a few months ago on a property in Belgium that is in the nature and close to Germany. The first tasks are done and now we would like to welcome some of you. You are welcome regardless of whether you want to stay several days or several weeks.

We are living off grid. Our water comes from a well. The water is tested and has drinking quality. We have our own solar power system (more than enough electricity in the summer months, but not so much in winter times) and our own wastewater- and compost- management. We are living on a gravel road, but very close to a bike-trail (Vennbahnweg/Ravel). The closest railway stations are Eupen (Belgium) and Aachen (Germany). There are buses from these two cities to our village as well. We don´t have a car.

We can provide our... more inside

It is no coincidence that you come here. When you feel the connection, it means you are meant to be here and share your being and mirror the soul of that moment, in this place.

Hi, I'm Britta, your host.
Welcome to this grounded little paradise! Tred gently and with kindness to all living things and you will be rewarded multi-fold!

I'm a coach, healer, soundhealer, artist, writer and singer. At the moment, I'm focussed mostly on visual arts, paintings with healing imprints.
I'm quite sensitive and I want you to be happy here so I will look for ways to accomodate that, within reason of course.

Here, we're organic flexitarians, mostly vegetarians.
Raw food often happens as well as detoxing raw juices, mostly during summer.
Here's an alternative, ecological philosophy and we try to live that way as much as possible.

This is a private home and a non- profit organisation in one, where high consciousness and some new technologydevices with ancient wisdom about healing and ... more inside

Hi everyone,

We are Laura and Jacob, Italian and French, 31 and 27 years old.
We met in Australia 5 years ago, during these years we've been introduced to volunteering, met many wonderful people and discovered beautiful locations. We're both into photography and video-making: https://www.instagram.com/jacob_rigaux/ & https://www.instagram.com/laura_nielen/

We now would like to host and received people who like nature and have common interests. For a long time, this place has been a writer residency, receiving writers from all over the world, where they found the clarity and inspiration they so much needed. We now would like to open the doors to new vision, organizing all sorts of interesting retreats and workshops. We would like to create an atmosphere where people feel at home and be mindful of this beautiful nature.

Come and enjoy the arty environment, we have hectares of forest with gigantic beach trees, you can walk around the property and found yourself alone in a qui... more inside

Our house
We live in a nice and small town in Belgium called Maaseik, which is _6__km from the Netherlands and _12__km from Germany. Our house is our dream home with a big forest-like garden. We grow lot of fruits, vegetables and herbs, all of which we try to eat every day. We also have chickens and ducks which we keep for eggs and sometimes meat. In the middle of our beautiful garden, and separate to the main house is a Holiday Cabin, with sleeping space for up to 3 people and its own toilet and shower. This will be your own private living space while staying with us.
About Us
I’m Marijn and I am an artist (writing and painting), chef and bartender and work different hours each week, but am home often to work around the house. My partner works full time for UPS and is away from home from 5am-7pm therefore access to the main house is only until 8:30pm so he can get a good sleep. We are a gay couple, open minded, and non-religious. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats which are very friendl... more inside

Different projects have built up around our house. My many different hobby’s and the earch to recycle everything causes the material to build up around the house. It is time to finish projects and to let go of material. There is space to create a nice sleeping place. Someone can come to create their own temporary sleeping place. I have gaint a lot of knowledge and now it is time to share this with people. Someone that wants to learn, and is crafty can get shelter and food at our house.

Projects
- Building a tiny house;
- Working with wood from earring to treehouse and from char to art peas;
- Living with the seasons picking, growing, processing fruits and vegetables.

Sustainability
I’m trying to live as conscious and sustainable ass possible. It would be nice if someone who wants to work here would respect this or better even support this.

Guest space
Half of the time my kids are at home and I like to spend time with them in the house. There is space in the garden an... more inside

Hi, my name is Evelien and I've been living in the wonderful city of Ghent for more than 10 years now. There's no way I'm moving anywhere else!

I have a lovely home located just outside the city centre and could use some help to make it look even better.

Since I myself don't have much time, I'm really looking for people that know what to do and can work independently without too much guidance.

Some things I can use your help with:
- Painting (inside and outside)
- Sanding and oiling my wooden windows
- Fixing up things here and there

Plenty of jobs to choose from :-)

Ideally you can stay for a couple days so you can actually finish the job you started. I will provide you with accommodation & food if you want it. In return, I'd like you to work for 3 to 4 hours a day.

Sorry, no more help needed in 2019

-----------------------
Hi future helper!

I am Karin, 55 years old and I live and work in Brussels as a management assistant. I have 3 grown-up children, the youngest is still living at home but already working too. I am also grandmother of a lovely 6 years old girl. I speak French, Dutch and English.

I have been a helper too and still do (last time was in April!), so I like exchanging with people of all cultures as a win-win relation.

We live in a nice city house with a small garden, 20 min tramway from the center. Many shops and public transports nearby to visit Brussels in your free time. There is also a bike you may use.

I am looking for someone who could help me with painting some walls and doors (inside and outside) and 2 heaters. Always something to be done in the garden too. I prefer people with some experience in DYI jobs. I am flexible on workhours but an average of 4 hours a day 5 days a week would be fine, and 2 free da... more inside

We (Hans&Karo) bought a small house in the countryside. We try to live as self-sufficiently as possible, with our small permaculture vegetable garden and with our ecological lifestyle. Although we have bees, we eat vegan food - we love to cook! We can cater for glutenfree vegatn diets, too.
We live in a very nice, green environment, which is only 40 minutes busride away from Leuven, a beautiful university town. If you are interested in WW II, the village next to ours has a particularly interesting history and small museum.
We have a dog.
We need help weeding, sowing, planting, harvesting, processing the harvest (pickling, fermenting, jam,...). We are still renovating the house and caravan, so if you are a handy or artistic person, you are very welcome! Also if you know how to work with wood or are a mason: we are specifically looking for someone who can help us build a woodshelter, a shelter for the bees, a garden-fence and raised stone gardenbeds.
If you know how to get ... more inside
