Hi all,
We would like your help from the end of APRIL until SEPTEMBER. We (2 adults and our daughter of 16) live in the south of the Netherlands, 8km from the town Breda. We have a house in our little forest of a hectare since 2018. We are making a centre of health here. The place is not well kept over the years. We need your help p.e. for cutting trees, sawing wood, making a footpath, maintaining the swimming pool or help with the meals. We are inspired by permaculture and want to learn more about it.
We offer food (and a sleeping place in exchange for 4-5 hours work a day, 5 days a week. We have a (very cold) swimming pool and there is a great lake nearby. You can sleep in our trailer or in a tent if you like and you can join as a group or as a single person. Also in this time of Corona, we like to invite you as a guest.

Hello,
we are an open-minded, young couple and we try to live without too much impact on our environment.

We finished our own journey on our tandem bicycle with quite some HelpX experiences as helpers about one year ago. Now we live on a property in Belgium that is in the nature and close to Germany. The first tasks are done and now we would like to welcome some of you. You are welcome regardless of whether you want to stay several days or several weeks.

We are living off grid. Our water comes from a well. The water is tested and has drinking quality. We have our own solar power system (more than enough electricity in the summer months, but not so much in winter times) and our own wastewater- and compost- management. We are living on a gravel road, but very close to a bike-trail (Vennbahnweg/Ravel). The closest railway stations are Eupen (Belgium) and Aachen (Germany). There are buses from these two cities to our village as well. We don´t have a car.

We can provide our g... more inside

Hello!

This year we can host 2-3 helpers until the end of September. The minimum period to stay is 2 weeks but we prefer longer. The longer the better!

In the next periods we have place:

Until September 18: 2 places
September 18 - October 15: 1 place

(Every week I update this list)

In our big organic garden with a beautiful design we grow, show and conserve the biggest private collection vegetables and other eatables of the Netherlands. We grow over 100 kinds of potatoes, 80 different garlics, 300 types of beans, many different nuts, herbs, flowers, fruits etc.

In summer we organize touristic activities on the gardens. We live in the north of Holland, surrounded by a varied and beautifull countryside. Our gardens are situated in the historic prison village of Veenhuizen. Nearby is the pleasant city of Assen and the big student city Groningen.

You are very welcome to help us with sowing, weeding, harvesting and a lot of other things that have to be done. We lik... more inside

Hello, I'm Wil.

I live alone in a nice little house in a rural area near Dordrecht next to the National Park "De Biesbosch".
The house stands on about 800 m˛ of land between the fields of the surrounding farmers.

I am working on the renovation of the house such as isolating the house, installing walls, installing ceilings, installing water and electricity, making a bathroom, renovating a kitchen, etc.
In addition, criate a vegetable garden. And maintained the garden and fruit trees. And planting and harvesting. And all further garden work.
The greenhouse must also be renovated and then put into operation.
There is also a fence to be placed and a barn rebuilt.

There are also sometimes some trees to be cut down and the wood or other wood to be processed into firewood. This wood is to heat the house.

In addition to this, I also have a carpentry company and it can be very busy with periods.
So I can use some help with carpentry, construction work, plaster, piping, paint... more inside

Hi There, I'm Eric and we have started a hotel in the artistic city Ootmarsum, the place was a hotel already in the past but it went bankrupt about 6 years ago and after this bankruptcy here have stayed refugees from all over the world for 2 years, after this period te place was closed again. And then we came here.
Now we have found a way to take over the place and the hotel is now up and running again. We are still renovating and there is a lot of work to do and we can use some help with this :) So if you are interested just send a message.
The hotel is at the city border of Ootmarsum, this is a very artistic small city in the area “Twente”. Some places in the area are Almelo (17 KM) Hengelo (24 KM) Enschede (26 KM). Our capital city Amsterdam is at 164 KM distance.
We offer volunteers;
A nice job in a young and ambitious company
Cozy workplace with possibilities for your own input
A bed in a shared room with maximum 1 other volunteer

Looking for a helper.

Since 2008 we have been living on this farmhouse. We have a big garden and a vegetable garden with a greenhouse. In the summer we usually need some help with our (vegetable) garden. During winter we usually need some help renovating some things in and around the house.

Activities for the garden will be mostly weeding, planting and cleaning things.

Some rooms in the house still need some renovating and the activities can be all sort of little things like carpentry and painting.

Working hours will be 4 to 6 hours a day for 5 days a week. If it is possible we can take you to a busstop or a nearby city on your days off.

We live in a small typical frisian village of 1000 people. The nearest shops and swimmingpool/gym are 2km from our house. We have a bike available to take some cycling tours around the area or to get to the bus or the supermarket.

The area around the village is suitable for walking and cycling (many routes)! Our house is situat... more inside

Summer 2020 i will be traveling myself. Don't have exact dates right now...

Hello all,

I am a traveler myself but if I am at home you will be welcome to stay for a while. Best chance is in summer as the weather is nicer, so I tend to travel in winter.

I recently moved to Doesburg wich is a very beautiful old town in the middle of nature. Great for hiking and biking. Bikes are available.

I could use some help decorating my apartment and searching out a lot of stuff I have. Also we share day to day task such as cleaning and household. Don't worry, enough time to relax and enjoy the region.

I am not a vegetarian but do not mind adjusting to your needs.

Greetings!

Hi there,
We are Floor (32), Bruno (41) and Gita (almost 1), living in a little house on 8000 m˛ of land, which is becoming more beautiful every day. It is our wish that this place may be a home where natural exchange can happen, where we aim for the Highest, and we have space for all. Until now, we have really enjoyed hosting people from all over the world, and we are up for more :-)

The 100-year old house is small, but it has an extra room for guests and there is the old ‘baking house’ which we use as a tiny guest house, big enough for couples. In summer, we can up a large tent in the back for those of you who like camping. So you are welcome to join the fun!

The land has a vegetable garden, fruit trees, berries, a greenhouse, and lots of space for nature: wild flowers, trees popping up here and there, buzzing bees and singing birds...

We don't have jobs and so we have no fixed income but plenty of time, which also adds to our efforts to live in a simple self-sustainable... more inside
