We grow organic table grapes , a good size vegetable garden and a few fruit trees. We have some construction projects such as a large tree house with a zip line and a green house made of wood and glass and clearing of brush and of course tending to the grape vines and garden. We can teach you the skills or if you already have them that is great. This is a real farm experience with some fun too. There is biking to town, swimming in the ocean or our lake, fishing, basketball, volleyball, hiking, nature walks, beach strolling and look for fossils at Blue Beach, camp fires , rope swing in our little lake, paddle boat, take in the fantastic views, sunsets, star gazing, internet, tv, phone and the use of our car to go to near by towns. There are separate accommodations for helpers and a communal kitchen for you to enjoy cooking together with an abundance of food. This is a more independent farm stay.
Hope you can make it here.

I need help with two businesses - a 'Home Away / airbnb rental home and a sailing school.
I ask for approximately 8 to 12 hours a week looking after the rental unit and 4 weeks help getting the sailboat ready for the summer season and another 4 weeks decommisioning it in the fall.
I offer accommodations in a self-contained apartment attached to the rental unit and/or live aboard on the boat (37 foot sloop with pilothouse). I'm pretty flexible about all of this.

We are a young family homesteading a piece of land in the beautiful Annapolis valley, over the North mountain and walking distance to the beautiful lobster fishing port of Harbourville ( home of the highest tides in the world). We are in the development stages of our homestead. Live in a sweet 3 bedroom Cord-wood home surrounded by a young forest. We are completely off the grid and experience the simple lifestyle. At this time we still carry in water, see by candlelight and lantern in the dark the days we choose not to turn on the battery or generator and are very happy with our lovable loo compost toilet.
We love community, travelling and sharing our lifestyle with others We would like to see our land one day as a retreat and art center. we welcome some help with building structures, paddock for our 3 horses, care for small animals and horses, help with interior renovations, some gardening, helping to sustain our piece of the forest. gather fire wood, and get creative with f... more inside

Hi, my name is Jeff. I have lived on Cape Breton Island most of my life. I have a small property on the outer edge of the national park at Pleasant Bay , halfway around the Cabot Trail in the Cape Breton Highlands. Looking for someone who would be interested in helping daily cleaning and cooking, I could also use some help setting up a glamping site and working on a small cottage, no experience necessary. If you have experience cutting wood and working with a power saw that is a plus, help with Spring cleaning would also be a plus. Accommodations and food provided. You will have lots of time to explore and hike all the trails!

The farm is situated in Nova Scotia on Canada`s east coast, more precise: on the Minas Basin the very tip of the Bay of Fundy. We are the home of Norwegian Fjord Horses. The pastures go down to the shore line. This place is famous for the worlds highest recorded tides, 12 - 16 meter twice daily. It is one of the most spectacular and magic places on earth.

If you love nature, are interested to have contact with gentle horses, and learn about natural horsemenship, you are on the right place.

The youngsters need some training and the older horses love to go on the trail.

One or two are welcome to help with the horses and all the work in and out on the farm. -No fear there is plenty of free time too.
Good riders preferred.

This is a nascent family farm that wants to be a soil-building, carbon-sequestering, food-raising, community-nurturing, nature-connecting, regenerative permaculture homestead and learning centre when it grows up.

The household is focused on learning about all the things. There is an extensive library, musical instruments abound and a love of food, locally and sustainably grown, is central. We work hard but also love being creative, having Pizza and Movie Night and exploring the woods to ferret out some of Mother Nature`s secrets. We speak some French and are interested in learning about Your launguage and culture.

Usually we will work together on projects, but I sometimes have non-farm-related work that takes my time and attention, so the ability to work independently is important. Generally I expect 4-6 hours of work a day, depending on what needs doing at the time.

We use permaculture principles and try always to partner with and learn from Nature in creating this space a... more inside

We are a couple who enjoy travelling and the great outdoors. Jaret is forestry technician and Emma is a speech-language pathologist (currently on maternity leave). We have a happy little boy who was born in 2018.

In our spare time we are farmers and gardeners.

We own a beautiful property in Nova Scotia that requires constant love and attention.

We will provide accommodation and food. We have a guest room in our home and wi-fi is available.

Your duties may include:
A helping hand in the kitchen
Stacking firewood
Tending the gardens
Painting
Household maintenance
Feeding the critters
General farm and household duties

We would like approximately 4 hours of work per day.

There will also be time to relax by our pond or to go swimming, canoeing and hiking.
