Looking for fun and helpful individuals interested in visiting Toronto. Looking for company and some general help around the house.

You will do around 3 hours each day of work - without my needing to chase after you. Might also be interested in any special skills you have.

You will be sleeping in either my guest room or basement depending on when you are coming and whether I'm already hosting anyone else. I live up by Finch West station, about a 2 min walk from the station. There's not a ton to do in my area but its very easy to go downtown where there is a lot to do.

I generally prefer that you are back by late evening so we can hang out. You can stay out late occasionally, with a general weekday curfew of 1030pm and weekend curfew of 1130pm. This is not the place to stay if you are hoping to be out clubbing etc regularly.

Offering space to stay and breakfast only. There's internet and I can show you around the University and probably a few other places depending on my... more inside

** We have availability in January 2020. **

My niece and I have a scenic country home on two acres with spectacular views of rolling hills. There are excellent hiking and biking trails nearby, and beaches of Lake Simcoe are only 20 minutes away by car, one hour by bike. We will be happy to drive you there. Two bicycles and high speed WiFi is available. We have two dogs and two cats. We are located one hour north of Toronto - accessible by Go Transit to Newmarket, where we will pick you up. On your days off, we will be happy to take you to Newmarket to catch the train/bus to Toronto. We can do the cooking but are happy to share the cooking, and will welcome any specialties you may have. We are not vegetarian, vegan or gluten free. If you are, then you should probably look for a different host. Also please note that this is also a no smoking, no vaping and no drugs home. Work assignments include weeding, mowing, trimming, painting, window washing, and some housekeeping and ... more inside

We are now booked solid for 2019 - thank you to all the amazing helpxers we've met this year! We are now looking for people interested in coming in 2020, starting in late March or April - preference given to those willing to stay 4 weeks or more. *The month of May is now booked*

Hello Helpxers! Let us introduce ourselves. My name is Carola and I live with my husband Jeremy, our 6 year old son Henry and my mom Heike on a 50 acre farm in the Hills of Mulmur here in Ontario. We have a small hobby farm. From the spring to the fall we have 40 chickens, 25 turkeys and 6 ducks.
My husband is a mechanic and works in the nearby town of Shelburne. I work from home and have a pet sitting/dog hotel business. My business is well known, well respected in the industry, where we keep up to 10 dogs with no cages or crates, though in a separate part of the house. I can perhaps teach you about dogs and their behaviours if this is of interest for you. We live in a very rural area so there is no pu... more inside

Hey everybody
My name is Josef Theiler and this is Theiler farm. We milk 70 cows, and 250 goats twice a day, 365 days a year and work about 400 acres. There is always plenty of work to do, from feeding the calves and cows to bedding, maintenance, tidying up,housework, yardwork, tractor driving, carpentry and mechanics. I have a passion for inventing things and automation, with a well equipped ( though somewhat disorganized )workshop. The work arrangements are pretty flexible, I don`t like to count hours, so usually we work when there is work but we also try to make time for some fun. During the summer months we go to local fairs and events, the occasional boat ride or water skiing, and there are always beers in the fridge. You will get to see what farming is really like. I am willing to teach you whatever you`d like to learn, if you put in a good effort. Special preference given to anyone with a trade, mechanics, builders, plumbers etc, there is always something to do with Possibi... more inside

We are a light hearted couple who live in Richmond Hill, Ontario. We love to cook, and enjoy learning new things from travellers. We offer a comfy room with walk in closet, flat screen Apple Tv, desk, and often a private bath, and a separate entrance. We have bikes to use in good weather, and we are happy to have you join us on expeditions to the city or country if timing is right.

We are a close walk to Yonge Street, which goes to downtown Toronto, or to cottage country, by public bus or GO train. Steps to a bus stop, hiking trails, two big ponds with swans, plus free concerts twice a week within walking distance. Many parks, pubs and restaurants, and many cultural activities close. It is a beautiful and quiet area.

We look for mature, self motivated helpers, who are able to work without constant supervision, as our schedules change often, and we are not always here. We usually host for two weeks at a time, but we are flexible. It is sometimes more or less. If y... more inside

We are located in Ontario Canada, on Manitoulin Island the largest fresh water Island in the world, heart of the great lakes. This large Island has 108 inland lakes and sandy beaches.
We have a 1/4 h garden that provides organic local food for our tea garden lunches. In July and August we host a dinner event called Gourmet Garden Gig with live entertainment Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Our garden provides a space to linger and enjoy a cup of tea at lunch time. We teach our help-x about most we do. You like to learn gardening, bee-keeping, cooking, herbs, remedies and selling good food, you're a great fit for our small but very diverse little business. Farm to Table is what it is called in Canada. Since we teach various skills we prefer help-x to stay a minimum of 2-3 weeks, we also welcome help for a longer period.
Both Guy and I love sharing life`s knowledge how to live sustainable with a small carbon footprint creating the biodiverity needed by birds, bugs and us.

We have a 75 acre property situated between Perth and Maberly, Ontario. A few outbuildings and barns. We are looking for helpers to assist and explore with adventures such as gardening, cutting and stacking wood, yard work, some house work, barn repair and plenty of odd jobs. We will teach you many things if you are willing to share in the work.
We would generally expect just putting in a days work.

We are not vegan or vegetarian. We raise and eat our own chickens, rabbits and pork. Our beef comes from a neighbours farm.
Our house has many musical instruments such as a piano, guitars and the lone tambourine! Guy has made his own guitars over the years and loves to play. There is always time to play and sing!
