We are a family of 5, (boys age 16 and 13, girl age 3).
We live in a straw bale house in the country that we built in 2005 and have one spare room with 2 double beds.
We keep a few chickens for eggs, and have a vegetable garden and greenhouse.
We seek help as soon as possible to primarily help with training and keeping a puppy(dog) company while we are at work/school. Other tasks could include gardening or caring for chickens, as desired.
We would love help for any amount of time during the summer or fall. Some weeks you would be on your own more than others. Cathy is a midwife and keeps irregular and unpredictable hours. We cook foods from many cultures and donít have any food restrictions.
Local attractions include the Elora gorge (Elora Ontario), 15 min drive. Lake Huron, 1 hour drive. Closest cities include Stratford, Guelph and Waterloo, all 30 min drive. Toronto is 2 hours away.
We are happy to take you to these places if the timing allows and can arrange locall... more inside

We live in a small cottage on a friendly lake about 3 hours north of Toronto.
We have the usual cottage toys available, canoe, small sailboat, row boat. Looking for help with selective cutting trees for firewood and lumber which we cut on our own small mill. Hopefully someone that is a better gardener than we are as we would like to start growing our own produce and maybe even get some chickens. Help with some construction and painting projects. And of course Canada Day where we get to watch fireworks from all over Ontario from our back ridge while having a BBQ and campfire. Come experience Ontario during the best season!

We are a family of 5 homesteading on St. Joseph Island in Northern Ontario.

https://www.algomacountry.com/cities-towns/st-joseph-island/

St. Joseph island is located in the North Channel of Lake Huron very close to the Trans-Canada Highway and about an hour from Sault Ste Marie, ON. It is a very beautiful area with many sand beaches, rocky shorelines, mature hardwood forests and many small islands and bays. We have wonderful kayaking, canoeing, hiking, fishing and general outdoor activities in the area. St. Joe's has a wonderful and active community that hosts many great events.

We have a 10 acre homestead in the woods surrounded by crown land and forest. There is abundant wildlife and nature to explore. We are very close to the water and spend a lot of time on the lake and beaches in the summer and fall.

Looking for fun and helpful individuals interested in visiting Toronto. Looking for company and some general help around the house.

You will do around 3 hours each day of work - without my needing to chase after you. Might also be interested in any special skills you have.

You will be sleeping in either my guest room or basement depending on when you are coming and whether I'm already hosting anyone else. I live up by Finch West station, about a 2 min walk from the station. There's not a ton to do in my area but its very easy to go downtown where there is a lot to do.

I generally prefer that you are back by late evening so we can hang out. You can stay out late occasionally, with a general weekday curfew of 1030pm and weekend curfew of 1130pm. This is not the place to stay if you are hoping to be out clubbing etc regularly.

Offering space to stay and breakfast only. There's internet and I can show you around the University and probably a few other places depending on my... more inside
