We are located in Laurier, a largely French speaking but tiny community situated 3 hours N.W of Winnipeg, Manitoba. With hard work on part of myself and many helping hands along the way, this place has grown from my small family home into an eclectic and cozy 3 story/5 bedroom BnB.

We are open weekends and hosts a variety of events from large themed holiday dinners (up to 32 persons) as well as living room style concerts (up to 70 persons indoors and out) featuring talented bands from across the Canada and the world.

We have a lot going on, itís true, but at itís heart is my home and it is a place to gather, exchange stories, talents and experiences.

I am looking for Helpxers with diverse range of talents and skills for the property as it is ever expanding. Some jobs include: construction, serving, cooking, cleaning etc.
Helpxers are supplied with a big, big roof over their head, hot food on their plates, an ever changing array of interesting folk and leave... more inside

We may just be the homiest hostel you'll ever come across. As we have only a capacity for 8-10 guests, it is an intimate setting where you get to know people very quickly and share and connect with other travelers. We've created a very positive, chill and friendly atmosphere and search for volunteers that fit right into this. As you'll be in constant contact with other travelers from around the world you can expect to have many interactions with different cultures and we encourage you to make the most of that!

We are looking for help with general every day cleaning, making beds, laundry, checking in guests and interacting with our great little international clientele. Most of all we are looking for someone who loves to be around people and has a love of exploring, someone that genuinely likes to connect and share with the other travellers.

We want to maintain our reputation as the welcoming, cozy and clean hostel that we are: and our team is what makes that happen! We have su... more inside

We are a married couple with a 7 year-old son living on an acreage in South West Manitoba. I work on a large grain and beef farm and my wife is a nurse practitioner. Due to the current Covid-19 situation and school being suspended we require someone to look after our son whilst we are at work. This will include supervising him doing assignments sent from school, playing with him inside and outside the house and walking or biking around the area.

Currently we ask that helpers have been in Manitoba at least 14 days prior to coming to us and have been observing required social distancing.

We have a cottage we call home in a subdivision of Petersfield, located 45 minutes north of Winnipeg. Petersfield is a very small town, but if you are looking to experience the rural prairie lifestyle you would have a great time staying with us.
We have a 2 year old boy (Theodore) who is full of energy. We would be looking for helpers who are comfortable with kids and would be willing to help out entertaining Theo.

We have an organic garden, heat our home with wood and live 1/2 a block from a private community beach, which is excellent for canoeing, swimming and fishing in the summer; and skating, ice fishing and snowshoeing in the winter.

We are currently working on a guest cottage. It is in need of painting, flooring and other upgrades. It's our project for the summer.

We have a guest bedroom for 1 person or a couple. The room has plenty of space for all of your things. We have fresh linens and quilts for the room, along with anything else you might need.

We are full for 2017 - Thank you!

The best of both worlds, we are just one kilometer to the city bus for journeys into Winnipeg, but still enjoy the serenity of the country on our 5 hectare acre organic farm, nestled between the LaSalle and Red Rivers.

Come help with our intensive market garden, our sheep and our small chicken flock. We take our produce to Manitoba's largest farmers' market, 5 minutes from our home, and run a small CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). Learn how we inter-connect greenhousing and high tunnels, permaculture, chicken tractors, composting and small-scale production, to be a self-sustaining family farm. Our homeschooling family enjoys good conversations over meals that are organic, often vegetarian and gluten-free. When we eat meat, we only buy from sustainable sources. Our house is geo-thermally heated, and we aim to be energy efficient and natural, using clay painted walls, broken tile flooring, and natural elements. It's all a work in progress,... more inside

We have a small home dairy goat herd and will be kidding out 46 does (LaManchas) so expect approximately 100 kids this year that will be hand raised. We also have chickens, ducks, rabbits, and a horse. In exchange for room and board, we'd love an extra hand during kidding for feeding babies and possibly help with milking depending on the person. Help in the barn with bedding and feeding, cleaning waters or building new pens and shelters or help in the house cleaning up milking equipment and baby buckets or cooking would be great. We will require help from mid-April until late June. (Update, we only have availability left for June.)
We're flexible and appreciate indoor or outdoor help. We would enjoy sharing our unique experience with you and this would be a great opportunity to learn about goats. We have a spare room available with a queen size bed. We have a fire pit for bonfires not far from the house and encourage someone to make themselves at home on their time off.
