Good morning;
Like everyone else,I am worried about the virus going around and hope everyone is healthy. If you are still moving around,I sure could use some help.My home and our area are free of problems so far.I am willing to give everyone a chance.I am healthy and hope you are too.
I thought I should mention that while I was away the end of June 2019,a storm caused the power to be off for over 1 week. When I got home all food stuffs had to be tossed out.The complete contents of 2 fridges and 2 deep freezes had to be emptied and cleaned.
The sheep have started to lamb.13 lambs so far.3 ewes have not lambed yet.
I am looking for help anytime. Some help starting now would be great.
This year will be the garden, some cleaning up,fences and firewood, maybe some painting outside if time permits.A little at at time.
I know most people do not answer requests but I really hope you do.
This is a small hobby farm with several animals.A few sheep and 2 horses.I also have an Alpaca and seve... more inside

About the Farm:

We have a ranch with approximately 50 beef cows and their calves, several horses, two miniature donkeys, a goat, two sheep, two llamas and numerous cats and dogs.

There is no longer a bus service to Meadow Lake but we are able to pick up from North Battleford, Saskatchewan or Cold Lake, Alberta. The Rider Express and KCTI runs from Saskatoon to Edmonton daily, dropping off in North Battleford or Lloydminster. Since it's a big commitment for us to go to these cities to pick you up, we ask for a minimum commitment of four to six weeks (depending on the time of year).

There's always plenty to do on the farm throughout the year. In winter all our animals are in the home yard and you can help us feed and check on the animals and spring is our calving season - always a busy time but fun time.
In summer you can help us with hauling the hay bales (round bales) from the field to the home yard (using tractors and bale wagons), farmyard maintenance, vaccinate calve... more inside

This is our first year on our newly purchased farm and we have lots to do - start a garden, plant shelterbelts and berries, raise some chickens and turkeys, set up a biodiesel plant, and renovate our pastures.
Our farm has fields, aspen forest, and a large pond. We think it's pretty awesome.

It's that time of year again: calving and lambing. If you want to help during this time feel free to contact us. Keith and I have a small diverse farm in east central Saskatchewan very close to the Porcupine Forest. We have a little bit of everything on our farm. We have honey bees. We also have sheep, cows, goats, chickens, turkeys, ducks, guinea hens and pea fowl.
Our busiest time is mid July to mid September because it's honey season.
We also live close to a lake so we go kayaking and fishing in the evenings. Helpers are welcome to borrow the kayaks or borrow the pedal bikes to explore. We like to spend a lot of evenings sitting around the fire or visiting friends and neighbors. If you're interested in farm life, give us a call. I look forward to hearing from you.

I run a Bed and Breakfast with huge garden and berry orchard near Hudson Bay in Saskatchewan.

There are 8 horses, 3 dogs, 2 cabins, a shower house and 5 in-house bedrooms. I have many guests in winter and summer. We offer wagon, sleigh and trail rides with the horses. It's a great place if you enjoy meeting new people and if you love animals!

Your duties will include cleaning accommodations, gardening, cooking, caring for the horses and assisting in maintenance of the property.

After working you can enjoy outdoor hot tubs or indoor sauna. You will see plenty of wildlife and also have the chance to watch the Northern Lights. All meals are provided. Check Facebook and other social media and you will get an idea of what goes on here.

I will do my best for you to have fun here. It is a true Country Canadian experience. Please consider reviews and check out Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and you will get a good idea of what goes on. You will see my spouse, Perrie, in the ... more inside

We are the 4th generation to live on and farm on our land. We moved back to the farm in 2016 and have changed things up a bit to reflect our values. We raise pastured poultry, pastured pork, dairy cows and bees as well as a market garden. Things are always changing and improving on the farm, and this year we installed solar panels!

This summer we have quite a bit of infrastructure projects in the plans. Someone with carpentry skills would be an asset but a willingness to learn goes a long way as well. We are always in need of extra help and would love to find a longer term farm hand as well. Come visit and fall in love with the farm life!

Sorry about the pictures, the animal ones don't want to position themselves the right way!

We Marg & John look forward to welcoming you to our farm home. We are semi-retired, kids have moved on, but we do have many cats! We live an active lifestyle & enjoy gardening, healthy cooking, reading & music. We have a variety of potential projects that we could work on with your help from Spring to Fall. It will depend on what we are doing when you contact us.

Hi there! We are a hostel right in the middle of bustling Regina, and we are looking for any volunteers that want to work for accommodation. We ask for a minimum stay of 2 nights and our maximum is 14 nights.

Our hostel is in a Municipal Heritage Building, a house that dates back to 1908 (which for Canada is really old!). We have a fully equipped kitchen, washrooms, we provide linen and towels and we are a 15min to the closest grocery store.

The work would be 2-3hrs a day, helping with housekeeping, maybe an on-going maintenance project or volunteering when we host our community events!

We are very laid back and approachable, if you have further questions or want to apply please don't hesitate to reach out! :)

Chuckwagon racing is fast paced and highly addictive. We require a good crew behind the scenes to help us be the best on the race track. If you like horses, meeting new people and travelling Western Canada then you’ll love being on our team. We race on the World Professional Chuckwagon Association tour with 11 stops across Alberta, Eastern BC and Saskatchewan, including the world famous Calgary Stampede.

We are currently looking for a volunteer to join our team starting April-September 2020.

*Disclaimer-this is a highly demanding work load and requires brute strength at times. Preferably someone with a work and holiday visa.*

Currently looking for helpers Mid-February - April during our busy calving season...Stays of at least a month are preferred..We are a commercial cow/calf operation in northwest SK..We currently calve out approx 200 head.Individuals interested in experiencing real "on farm" life would have a great time here. We always have some kind of projects on the go.. An international driver's licence is not essential for calving season.. Our children are all grown and living on their own but frequently stop by for visits...It is a very quiet lifestyle here..Meals for the most part will be provided and cooked for you.You may have to cook your own meals sometimes but there will always be groceries supplied..Meadow Lake is a great place to visit and the people are great... There are quite a few helpx and woofer hosts in the area and the helpers and woofers generally have quite an active social time with each other and visit back and forth..
