We are looking for people to come and help us get set up with our new food hub by coming on trips out to farms, sorting recycling, preparing meals from local foods, helping customers with the market, etc. In exchange for room and board with fabulous nutrient dense fresh foods and your own private sleeping space, we would like 20-25 hrs per week.

Welcome to the sunny and spacious Parkland area of Saskatchewan where you can see for miles/km in every direction. In the words of a German guest, "Mann kann sich nicht sattsehen, an diesem Himmel. Auch Licht und Farben sind unübertroffen sowie die klare und trockene Luft". We operate a mixed farm and Market Garden approximately 140km east of Saskatoon. Because our farm is near Lake Lenore, we have a beautiful view of the lake while we work in the garden. Occasionally, wild deer come wandering through the yard and garden. You can also see moose, coyotes, foxes, bald eagles, wild geese and ducks and many songbirds. The animals on our farm include cows, pigs, chickens, cats and a very friendly border collie dog, Chloe. We often share work, play and meals with our young grandchildren and their parents. We are looking for people who are willing to help in the garden with planting, weeding, mowing, harvesting, preparing for the Farmers' Market and anything else that needs doing. Located near the beautiful Moose Mountains in southeast Saskatchewan we operate a small scale, grass based livestock farm situated on native prairie. Our farm offers a wonderful opportunity to explore our tree filled ravines and discover evidence of life in Saskatchewan before European settlers, such as First Nation teepee rings and buffalo rub stones. We are trying to live a self sustaining life, so our farm is constantly evolving. We have a variety of animals such as meat and egg chickens, turkeys, pigs, beef cows and Jersey milk cows. All animals live on pasture and are moved to fresh grass regularly. Jobs range from feeding and moving the animals to milking cows, yard and garden work and even childcare for our two young daughters. There is work for people of all skill levels. There is no longer bus service to our town but we can pick you up in Regina if you plan on staying 3 weeks or longer. We are experienced travelers and have a good understanding of what it is like to be in a... more inside

**Currently looking for help starting middle of april, mostly taking care of dogs and puppies during the day** I own a 50 dog kennel consisting of sprint sled dogs. I race all over Canada and Alaska. So if you really want to explore, this is the place for you!
During the fall training begins. The dogs are ran and trained every second day. We appreciate help with cleaning pens, training the dogs, giving the dogs food and water. During winter months we are on the road most of the time, helpers will then also help drive to, and prepare for races.
This is definitely a great experience for anybody who is physically active and adventurous. My kennel is right next to the Saskatchewan provincial forest with hundreds of kilometres of trails, so helpers can enjoy exploring, quadding and skidooing during free time!

Thanks for checking out Northwood Farm! Right now we are looking for enthusiastic helper's for the 2019 Season. We would like to start hosting interested individuals or couples beginning around mid April to early May. This is when we get our propagation greenhouses going and filled with seedlings and start with spring cleanup in the garden. This is our fifth year growing vegetables for restaurants in the Saskatoon area! Also, 2019 will be our first year as licensed HEMP producers. Our goal is to cultivate Industrial hemp to supply the blossoming CBD market. We are really excited about this opportunity and are sure this will be a very interesting year for our helper's.

Our family operated on Vancouver Island for four years before relocating to central Saskatchewan where Christina has roots and we were able to afford to purchase our own little piece of paradise to raise our family on and work at doing what we love. We have had wonderful experiences with helpers in the past. We love... more inside
