My tree nursery is located 120km west of Edmonton and only a 2.5 hour drive away from famous Jasper National Park in the Rocky Mountains. There are 3 members to our household: Pat, his girlfriend Anita and our kind old friend Froggy.
We need help with stapling, tying and crimping the trees we dug, digging and planting seedlings, caring for the trees in our nursery and you might help with tree planting and landscaping jobs all over Alberta. In spring we sometimes go as far as BC to dig trees. Tree care means pruning, fertilizing, parasite and weed control. Working here also includes renovating and building projects, i.e. fencing, painting or carpentry. There are a beautifully landscaped yard and rock gardens to look after and some fruit picking in summer. During the colder months one of our helpers is usually in charge of the daily horse chores. As we are all living together we share the household work. The tree business is seasonal - weather permitting we might start as early as th... more inside

My husband and I live on the farm along with our three dogs whom are very much a part of our lives. We have 4 children who are grown and moved out on their own and 8 grand kids. My husband still works a full time job and my job is running the farm. We both come from farming backgrounds and truly enjoy our farm life. We work most every day at something on our farm, either: planting, picking, producing products or maintenance.
For entertainment we like to quad, walk our dogs, dine out, camp, visit the city and much more. We live in an area that is central to Edson, Whitecourt, Drayton Valley and Spruce Grove all being within 1 hour drive.
We live in a great area that is central to educational and entertaining attractions: North Saskatchewan River Rafting, Music Festivals, Golfing, Jasper National Park, West Edmonton Mall, Edmonton Science Center, Alberta Beach, Seba Beach and much more.
We have a mixed farm on a 1/4 section of land with 700 fruit trees and bushes of assorted fr... more inside

We own approx. 14 horses.. some we drive, others we ride, others are broodmares.. Our daughter does equine sports therapy, if this interests you, you may be able to help her. Also she is a student of legerete, if you want to dabble in that she would love a keen helper.

Depending on your horse experience, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to ride horses. Lots of times we only have young ones that are just being trained. but you will get alot of horse time..

Hello! Welcome to our Farm!! Our farm sits on a beautiful piece of land with a variety of very sweet animals, we know we are so lucky to have what we have and decided to share our treasures with everyone. Our goal is to make a difference to the earth we live on, the people we interact with and the animals we share this planet with. We have turned our farm into a petting zoo and Airbnb. We have a variety of tasks around the farm from daily animal care to building projects and everything in between, there will always be something that suits your talents! And if you think you have none (talents) don’t worry, we will dig them out if you! We want you to come to our farm as guests wanting to help with our cause of creating a place that helps people reconnect with animals and nature. Our belief is that one small act of kindness is one step closer to creating a happier planet :-) You can also check out our Facebook page at Down To Earth Farms Petting Zoo! Shane:)

We are a Warmblood horse breeding and training family farm. One of our goals is to produce top quality horses for international competition in jumping, dressage and three day events. Our main farming activities include feeding, training, breeding and caring for our herd of 100 horses. To view current pictures of our horses life here, go to our Touchstone Farm Facebook page.

We have chosen to be as close to nature as we can and build as naturally as possible. We are therefore a rustic facility. We have a small portable saw mill for sawing our own wood. We are endeavoring to organically produce some of our own food. To this aim, we also have a few goats, chickens, a cow and calves and a garden.

We need help year round with the livestock, training and caring for the horses, pasture management, fencing, landscaping, gardening, meal preparation, housekeeping, building construction and repairs, cutting lumber and firewood, mechanical repairs etc. Winter is a unique experience on... more inside

Hello! We are looking for one or two helpers beginning in April 2020 and continuing through the summer and fall to assist us with the operation of our horse farm and our skin care business. Duties would be general horse care including feeding, grooming, exercising along with some basic farm maintenance (example: snow shoveling or lawn cutting, simple repairs). Some horse knowledge/experience is preferred but the most important thing is a good attitude and must not be afraid of horses.
In addition to the horse work, we would like a helper to assist with some light housework and cooking. We also operate a skin care business and require assistance with making product, labelling and general duties related to that business including occasional attendance at farmers markets to assist with selling products.
It is important that our helpers commit to stay a minimum of 3 weeks in order to have enough time to learn tasks, become accustomed to the work and be able to work on their own. ... more inside
