I believe that experiencing the outdoors can be transformative. When you are exposed to the beauty of nature, you begin to love it, then to cherish it. It is then that you begin to want to protect it. I believe that people who love the outdoors are our greatest environmental asset.

My project is bringing as many people with me outside as I can, so we can all get the most out of life as possible. I founded a hiking club to provide new Canadians and visitors to BC the opportunity to experience the outdoors in a safe, supportive environment.

Volunteering is a big part of my life, from working with organizations that help the disabled, to food security, to helping new Canadians get adjusted. My Golden Retriever is a therapy dog and I have been involved in Big Brothers, and other non-profit organizations.

Join me in helping others. It is its own reward.

Type of help I am looking for:

Cooking / shopping

Come enjoy and participate in our Family Farm life. We are using permaculture and organic principles to ensure sustainable farming and stewardship of the land and lives we are taking care of.

We practice pasture rotation on our properties for the cows, chickens, meat birds and turkeys; the pigs are content to dig up the treed areas. Our animals are fed on pasture, hay and all Non-GMO feed. It is our goal is to provide the best possible life for our animals as an act of gratitude for them feeding us!

Plenty of hiking trails, single track bike trails, lakes and ski hills. The proximity of Fernie, Cranbrook and Kimberley, BC offer tons of opportunities for the spare time.

Currently we are looking for help for fencing projects, pen building, woodlot work, animal care and harvesting. Thanks for your interest.
