Our ranch is located in one of the most beautiful countrysides in the interior of BC. Surrounded by gorgeous mountain ranges, lakes and rivers, we consider ourselves and our animals to be spoiled rotten. Our 13+ acre farm is located 5 minutes from the town center, 5 minutes from the beautiful Clearwater River, and less than 10 minutes away from Dutch Lake (perfect sandy beach for swimming). Canoeing, kayaking or hiking in the world renowned Wells Gray Park is a great way to spend days off.
Our ranch has horses, cows, pigs, chickens, ducks & turkeys, and 3 working dogs.
Looking for a person to help with our farm chores as well as gardening and small construction projects.
In the summer we grow our own garden as we believe in growing our own food or shopping locally.
Check out our Facebook page! (Spoiled Rotten Ranch)

Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River is a beautiful place to experience SUMMER and Vancouver Island`s great outdoors!!! Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, douglas firs, maples and alder trees. You can often see deer, racoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the riverís pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighbourhood is the access point to many scenic nature walking and biking trails. The 1st three photos are at our home and the others are nearby nearby trails and local vistas.

If you have a specific trade or skill to exchange we can find you a suitable project. Ot... more inside

We like to have weekly cookouts with our guests in the summer months and will sometimes also take them on river floating trips. Update: We are currently looking for some helpers to help us get ready for the 2020 growing season. If you would like to come to beautiful Quadra Island and work with us, please get in touch!

A few years ago we left our urban life and set forth on a journey across North America, volunteering on farms and learning about how to live differently on the earth.

Our journey brought us to Quadra Island where we recently purchased an old farm and are in the middle of converting it into a regenerative and thriving farmstead using permaculture, silvipasture, animal systems, compost, food forests...and lots of other awesome things! We think that animals are a very important part of creating a regenerative system. Currently we have chickens (layers and meat birds), ducks, geese, goats, 2 dogs and a cat, and soon we will be getting some sheep! We are very concerned about climate change and this is what is driving our determination to figure out how to live in a resilient and regenerati... more inside

We are located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley. My husband and I have 4 horses, 2 dogs, and 2 vineyards - no kids. Our helper would have to be a dog & horse lover, interested in natural horsemanship and be a good rider. You are expected to work in the mornings, i.e. do the morning chores, work in the vineyards and do the odd job here and there, depending on the season, and you have the afternoon off. House chores are shared. In exchange, you have room & board, internet access, are included in all activities, and we play with the horses or we go riding. Are you a non-smoking, self motivated, outdoorsy & fit person that would like to stay a min. of 3 weeks and up to a max. of 3 months - then we would love to hear from you!
