UPDATE Oct 22: My primary long-term hosting focus is described below. For the fall season of 2019, I can offer short term stays for 1 or 2 guys for immediate short term (1 to 4 weeks) outside farm work, preparing crop spaces for winter, outside work not involving animals and not involving machinery.

Prefer to host 2 guys traveling together, but solo helpers also welcome to inquire. You put in 3 hours from 7 am to 11 am then have the rest of the day to enjoy south island attractions, using very inexpensive and convenient public transit.

My primary hosting objective is long=term - and very specifically looking for Helpers as follows: GIVE TO GET ! As a host, I am looking for serious students of ESL.

I use the find helper feature and can't for the life of me understand why you would lock out inquiries from "non premier" hosts...how is that useful to you.

Wow, exploring right outside our backdoor along side the Campbell River is a beautiful place to experience Fall and Vancouver Island`s great outdoors!!! Although we live on a one acre town lot, our back yard is situated on a cliff over looking an accessible beautiful heritage river, with a nature park setting of ferns, douglas firs, maples and alder trees. You can often see deer, raccoons, bears and the silver backs of salmon and Steelhead fish jumping in the ebb and flow of the riverís pools. We have trail access to the river below, where you can enjoy listening to the sing song of many birds, tubing down the river/swimming in the heat of the summer, and trying your hand at casting for Steelhead fish. As well, our neighborhood is the access point to many scenic nature walking and biking trails. The 1st three photos are at our home and the others are nearby nearby trails and local vistas.

Not Accepting New Helpers At The Moment. Thanks

Hello Helpers,

We are a retired couple who have moved to Quadra Island and are in the process of creating a serene oasis on our 3 acre property. We would like to invite motivated, engaging, happy helpers to give us a hand with all manner of manual labour.i.e. preparing the land for a veggie garden and improving what is here already.

Being "morning" people, we prefer helpers who greet the day with good humor and positive energy.

We request 25 hr per week in the mornings. Lunch is eaten together, leaving afternoons free for exploring our trails, lakes, beaches, climbing rocks and quaint village. We provide food for breakfast and supper and it's casual so you can eat when you it suits you.
We also have kayaks and bicycles you are welcome to use. Or, if you wish to stay on the property, hang out on the dock, and watch marine life, (seals, otters, porpoise, mink and tons of bird life etc) you are welcome to do so.

We are a couple with a four year old daughter and a two year old son. We have an acre waterfront lot on beautiful Bowen Island. We are looking for a non-smoking, outdoor loving, single female that has some childcare experience and basic English language skills. The work is mainly house cleaning, gardening and childcare. We typically accept someone for two-three week stays but if it is a really great fit we are always open to longer. You will have two days off a week and will be included in all our family activities if you choose to be. I also encourage you to go explore on your own too around the island and into the city on your days off. In the evenings we all come together for dinner and conversation. Come experience one of the Gulf Islands! We are about an hour out of Vancouver.
