We can often accept take last minute people. We can always use a carpenter or plumber, and sometimes offer pay for extra hours, especially if we only have 1 or 2 people (& you are an efficient helper), but for qualified carpentry, plumbing or mechanical, we pay extra for the basic hours as well.

*** PLEASE READ OUR AD CAREFULLY, AS WE DON`T WANT YOU TO BE UNHAPPY HERE AS IT MAKES US UNHAPPY AS WELL. We have wonderful experiences with most helpers & have made (& sometimes visited) many new friends! Only people that ignore what we ask for in our ad are unhappy, as it is frustrating for us & also for them. Most helpers don't have any references so we rely on your word that you fit our requirements.
Life is too short for anyone to be stressed out!

*Sorry, but we don't give letters of invitation as it requires us sending the person copies of our personal identification.

Intermediate Mandarin speaker seeking a Chinese speaker, fluent in Mandarin for approximately 4- 5 hours during the day for 5 days with 2 days free. You would be helping me with Mandarin so by osmosis we'd have Mandarin/English language exchange so you can learn English from me! I need help with grammar so I need to practice speaking! Some cleaning, cooking, running errands, shopping is required for free accommodation, food isn't always included so you'd have to chip in for groceries especially specialty items. We can always discuss it when we chat! You won't be working too hard and would have time to go out and about! Hoping for 1-week minimum and there is flexibility so we'd have to chat about what your needs are.
We have a very friendly small dog who loves people. He is also hypoallergenic so probably you won't be in danger of an allergy attack! We have 2 locations: Whistler and Vancouver.
Vancouver: Our location is extremely walkable to downtown-20/25 minutes, to seawall 3-... more inside

We are looking for help right now through January 15. We have just under two acres of botanical garden on a salmon spawning creek on a quiet country street in Langley, B.C. We are just one hour by car from Vancouver. There are two small greenhouses, lots of ornamental perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables, herb garden, fruit trees and loads of flowers. The duties would consist of general gardening and landscaping. Help in the kitchen is always needed & appreciated. There is no smoking allowed. We could use two to four people at a time that would share a bedroom with two single beds and a bedroom with a queen bed. We accept people year round.
