Organic food forest project and eco-sustainable community circle on secluded, natural, riverside acreage in the City of Kamloops.

We have a few spots available for our Spring Season... making jam, writing labels, labeling, filling gift boxes, baking, cleaning, laundry, cooking, mulching, pruning, snow shovelling (if snow happens)!

At present we could use more people with experience with woodwork, building and insulating for the recycled tree house.

Spring season is also herb drying, fermenting, preserving and gathering. Those with beautiful handwriting are important in our for hand-labelling jars and bottles for our community pantry. When market season begins, some of us choose to start at 3 or 6 am with the baking crew making muffins, so be prepared for some very early mornings. Weekends are busy with markets.

We grow mostly herbs, edible flowers, fruit, nuts, berries, and wild baby GREENS in our food forests, greenhouse and urban gardens. Our focus combines whole fo... more inside

Hello! We are restaurant owners who would love some babysitting help for our two children, ages 6 and 10, usually from 4pm until approximately 10 or 11pm, 4/5 days a week. Sometimes we require a sitter during the day as well (per occasion) We have a medium sized dog who loves all dogs, people and walks. We live in beautiful Squamish, close to trails along two rivers where the eagles gather, walking distance to all amenities. Whistler mountain is a 40 minute drive north for anyone who loves skiing and Vancouver is 45 minutes to the south. Our helper would have our son`s room, so can be private. We are currently seeking helpers for the middle to end of March.

We are a small scale vegetable farm located in Yellow Point BC. We started our farm in 2017, its now filled with veggies, flowers, herbs and fruits. We have a beautiful 5 acre property nestled above a beaver made pond, surrounded by park land. We provide whole sale veggies to Gabriels Café down town Nanaimo, and are at the Beban Park Farmers Market. We have two awesome funny dogs who love to play and who are part of the team. We are easy going folks who enjoy nature, good food, and having fun. The requirements are Monday -Thursday 7 hrs a day (28 hour week) with weekends off. We would love farm help, tasks include: weeding, mulching, harvesting, cooking, watering, creating garden beds, learning about vegetable production, having fun, seeding, and putting the farm to rest. Because it takes a bit to get into the flow of the farm its nice to host people for 1-2 months at a time or longer if all parties agree. We have a nice guest room set up down stairs in our house, with a nice big sh... more inside

We're looking for a couple or a single person for early April to help with general yard and garden clean-up, housecleaning, painting, and minor house repairs.

In exchange for room and board, you'll work 5 hours per day and have 2 days off a week. We're flexible about when the hours are worked so that you can maximize your time off to enjoy Vancouver and the surroundings areas.

You will have your own bedroom and share a bathroom.

We are on a bus route in West Vancouver, 35 minutes to downtown Vancouver. We enjoy beautiful views of Lion's Gate Bridge and the city of Vancouver. There's lots of hiking and walks close-by.

Before we accept helpers, we always ask for a couple of character references. We would like to speak to a previous host or work reference from a prior job. It doesn't matter where they are in the world as we have a very good phone plan!

We look forward to hearing from you.

Karen and Ed
