A beautiful combination of gardens and natural landscape. A 200m creek runs the length of the sloping property with views over the ocean. Eagles and humming birds are plentiful as are the deer which love our veggies and flowers!
Keith and Sunny are your hosts and we invite you to share our lifestyle for a while. If you enjoy working outdoors (mostly) then join us in all aspects of vegetable and decorative gardening and creative landscaping structures and creek-side management.
Full room and board is offered in exchange for 25 hours per week of your appreciated help. Many outdoor activities are nearby: fishing, kayaking, hiking etc.
Only 6 minutes to town and local transportation is convenient to the property.
WELCOME to our corner of paradise.

We are looking for help right now through January 15. We have just under two acres of botanical garden on a salmon spawning creek on a quiet country street in Langley, B.C. We are just one hour by car from Vancouver. There are two small greenhouses, lots of ornamental perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables, herb garden, fruit trees and loads of flowers. We have a pond with a fountain and there are close to 70 species of birds that visit us through the year. We have a varied diet and can cater to most tastes. The duties would consist of general gardening and landscaping. Help in the kitchen is always needed & appreciated. There is no smoking allowed. We could use two to four people at a time that would share a bedroom with two single beds and a bedroom with a queen bed. We accept people year round. Volunteering hours expected: 5 or 6 hours 5 days. LGBTQ Friendly

We can often accept take last minute people. We can always use a carpenter or plumber, and sometimes offer pay for extra hours, especially if we only have 1 or 2 people (& you are an efficient helper), but for qualified carpenters, plumbers or mechanics, we also pay some extra for the basic hours for these trades.

*** PLEASE READ OUR AD CAREFULLY, AS WE DON`T WANT YOU TO BE UNHAPPY HERE AS IT MAKES US UNHAPPY AS WELL. We have wonderful experiences with most helpers & have made (& sometimes visited) many new friends! Only people that ignore what we ask for in our ad are unhappy, as it is frustrating for us & also for them. Most helpers don't have any references so we rely on your word that you fit our requirements.
Life is too short for anyone to be stressed out!

*Sorry, but we don't give letters of invitation as it requires us sending the person copies of our personal identification.

If you are planning to come in the Fall dates available are october 5 to November 20 Please make your profile reflex what you really truly are capable of doing or have a talent for,do not put that you are in construction if you don't know how to fix a door or gardening if you don't know plants.I don't ask for much just helping me is what I need but be honest with your profile and skills, your profile is very important.
Like painting if you don't know how to paint and I have to hire a professional to fix what you have done.

We are not currently accepting helpers, but will possibly have an opening spring 2020.

We ask that you provide your own food for the most part, as we only ask for 2-3 hours of work per day.

Our property is located in the beautiful forested mountains of British Columbia. Nature and animals are abundant. It's truly paradise, and we would love to share it with you! We have 10 acres with a 5 bedroom / 2 bathroom country home. You will have your own room.

When we have time, we take our helpers on excursions such as hiking, horseback riding (we have two horses), or to the lake.

We are in our early 30's. I (Sarah) am a full time photographer and work from home most of the time. My hobbies are horseback riding, hiking, and travelling (I have some great stories!). My husband Chris is a woodworker (cabinetry) in Kamloops, and loves hockey, golf, and motorcycles.
