We are a busy dynamic family with two young children ages 9 and 10. Mom works in the local community's Health Centre as the Nurse. Dad runs a busy Bistro in our small community.

We have a couple of different positions available. First, we are looking for a motivated, self-directed, individual or couple to help us with childcare of Shale and Granite while both parents are at work. The boys enjoy making new friends from around the world each summer and showing them the beauty of their community. Currently we have a return helper coming to care for the boys from July - Sept. So we are in need of someone from Mid to late April to June 2019.

We have a variety of accommodation options on our property as many of our Bistro staff live on our property as well. We also have a large variety of outdoor equipment that will allow you to take advantage of our pristine wilderness and have your own adventure, like canoes, kayaks, bikes, etc. We will also have opportunity for helpers to join ... more inside

Starting March 2019.

We own and operate during the tourism season of the summer a local restaurant in beautiful Carcross Yukon, surrounded by the lakes and mountains of Canada's Coastal Mountains. Our helpx positions involve assisting with off season and during the season construction projects that support the ongoing growth of our restaurant business that has undergone significant changes each season due to significant annual growth. Our restaurant is made of primarily recycled / reclaimed materials and many things that we build for the decor are one-of-a-kind creations that enhance the regional atmosphere of the restaurant. We also have opportunities out at our lakeside cabin property clearing some brush around our cabins and yard work.

Nature of Help Needed: Could relate to helping collect firewood for our outdoor salmon bake, or helping to sand and refinish wood projects. We have other staff around onsite who work at the restaurant during the operating season so th... more inside

Hello! We are a happy family (an engineer,a nutritionist, two kids 9 & 10) developing a small farm and holistic nutrition business west of Whitehorse. Our home has a beautiful view, is quiet, comfortable, spacious. We have dogs and chickens. There is a small restaurant/store nearby; and Whitehorse, Haines Junction, Kusawa Lake and Kluane National Park are within a 30-45 minute drive. Hiking, fishing, hunting, canoeing, bird watching, skating or skiing are all nearby.

We are seeking HelpX'ers to share interests, knowledge and friendships :) We would suit persons who enjoy nature, community, and well-being.

The type of helping tasks we need vary according to season. There is much less work to during the short, cold days of winter than the long, sunny days of summer. However, if you enjoy gardening, preserving, cooking, baking, renovation or building projects, healing arts, outdoor living skills, hunting, foraging, caring for animals, interacting with our children and community... more inside

We are a family building a small farm and homestead in the wilds of the Rock Creek Valley, 25 km away from Dawson City, Yukon, within the Traditional Territory of the Trondk Hwchin. We live off grid, with our young child, three dogs and 50ish chickens. To reach our home we canoe across the historic Klondike River.

We grow a big garden for ourselves, grow/sell cut flowers, as well as herbs and medicinal plants for use in salves/balms/tinctures and tea for sale. We spend a lot of time outside, hiking, wild crafting as well as working on our farm. Our biggest project right now is developing infrastructure and building a shop. Along with work in the garden other possible projects in summer of 2019 may include- installing solar panels, building a solar dehydrator, building a grey water field, and building a sauna.

We are looking for help with: Our gardens (planting, weeding, watering, etc.), cooking, childcare, carpentry and manual labour. If you have any skills in any of these... more inside

We are a developing family business in tourism and farming. We live on a farm property south of Whitehorse. Our farm is off the grid, just solar and generated power and no running water for now. You should enjoy physical work outside and outdoor activities. We provide accommodation, good homemade food and different activities like canoeing, hiking, fishing and horseback riding. We own 6 horses and offer mainly horseback riding and packing tours. To join us on our trips is mostly possible, but it's not work, more a benefit during your time off to enjoy the Yukon wilderness and to give you some good experience.
