We are a developing family business in tourism and farming. We live on a farm property south of Whitehorse. Our farm is off the grid, just solar and generated power and no running water for now. You should enjoy physical work outside and outdoor activities. We provide accommodation, good homemade food and different activities like canoeing, hiking, fishing and horseback riding. We own 6 horses and offer mainly horseback riding and packing tours. To join us on our trips is mostly possible, but it's not work, more a benefit during your time off to enjoy the Yukon wilderness and to give you some good experience.

Short-term only. 2-3 weeks.

We are busy family of five with two school-aged boys, aged 6 and 8 and one toddler. We are active in our community and in the outdoors. We enjoy skiing, skating and tobogganing in the winter, biking, hiking and camping in the summer.
We are very family-oriented, eating all meals together and playing a lot together.

We are looking for someone to help around the house with cooking and cleaning and child care.

We are looking for someone who will fit comfortably into a busy family home and someone who loves kids. We speak French and English at home.

We are located a 20 minute walk from downtown, a 10 minute walk from the sports complex and cross-country ski trails and mountain biking trails. We are right on the bus route which gives you access to everyone in town. Just outside of town there is the possibility for downhill skiing and all the outdoors are right in your backyard.

Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about us.

We are a young family consisting of myself, my sweet preschooler and kindergartener and a small but competitive dog sled and skijoring team. Our property is located on the Annie Lake Road, in the heart of prime dog mushing territory.

We are currently looking for a dog handler(s) and helper who would be able to start anytime.

Responsibilities include giving excellent care and attention to the sled dogs, as well as odd jobs around the property, and some childcare.

Lovely accommodation is provided, as well as many other bonuses. This position would be ideal for a couple or a pair of friends or a single person, ideally someone who has their own vehicle.

We would prefer a longer term commitment because there is a lot to learn and you would be working on your own much of the time.

It is worth mentioning... our kennel has a zero tolerance policy for drugs and any illegal behavior.

Please email us with any que... more inside

Are you looking for a true Northern experience in the company of a loving and adventurous family?

We are an English and French speaking family with three children aged 14, 12 and 10 living in a big house outside of Whitehorse, Yukon. We are a very active family with the kids playing hockey, swimming, skiing, violin. We mostly need help with maintaining the house (cleaning, dishes, lunches, etc.) but also to help take the children to various activities. We are 15 minutes from downtown Whitehorse (and 25 from the ski hill), so a drivers license is required.

You would have your own spacious room and home cooked meals in exchange for ~20 hours of work a week, and a minimum stay of two months. The hours can be different each week so flexibility is a must.

We have had 5 volunteer visitors over the last few years and all of our experiences have been great!

If you are interested, please send us a message.

We are a fun, active family searching for someone to join us for a summer of outdoor adventures.
Our family includes Mom, 2 boys aged 4 and 6-1/2 plus the Zoo (2 dogs and 2 cats). We live a beautiful outdoor lifestyle in the lakeside community of Marsh Lake about 40 minutes outside of Whitehorse. The boys are with me part-time (every second week). Our regular activities are: indoors, Lego, trains, music, games.
Outdoors, daily adventures include paddle boarding, swimming, playing at the beach, local playground, biking, walking the trails and foraging in the woods for wild berries and mushrooms.
And in the yard, we enjoy most meals on the covered deck, gardening, the trampoline, playing in the dirt.
Lots of portable picnic lunches or snacks at the playground or beach.

Activities would include child and pet care, light household tasks.

Our home is a cozy country house 40 min from Whitehorse. There are no amenities/shops close by. We are not lakefront, but there is on... more inside
