June 3 Update: Yukon is closed to travelers, but I am able to get you in as a guest.

Experience the mountains and wilderness of Yukon and parts of Alaska!! From the Midnight Sun in summer to Northern Lights in winter, learn why we call it: Yukon, the Magic and Mystery.

Help me live a rustic wilderness life away from the digital speed of today. We do wilderness adventures, activities and some roadtrips. No Work Visa required!

Although the house is located in a wilderness residential community with cellular service and WiFi, we can shut off cell phones and laptops at home, we can use oil lamps for light and wood stove for heat and we can play board games at the kitchen table, or we can watch a DVD movie on a flat screen TV!!

How better to connect with nature than a dip in natural hot springs or wilderness lakes? While lakes are summer only, there are a few natural hot and warm springs in the area. Some are known, some are secret. ;)

Mix all this this with other acti... more inside

We live with our 11 year old daughter on a small 5 acre hobby farm with large garden, greenhouse, chickens, ducks and 2 dogs. We’re located 15 minutes out of Dawson city along the Klondike river.
We have a cozy and private 16’ yurt on the property suitable for two people to stay in. It has power but no plumbing- outhouse only. Showers available in our house and there’s wifi on the property. Groceries will be provided by the host and there are basic cooking facilities in the yurt. Since we live out of town, guests must have Their own vehicle. For the more adventurous, we also have a remote trapline with cabin on a lake that we visit periodically throughout the summer. Depending on our guests interests and skills, there may be opportunity for them to spend some time at the cabin where we’re looking for help cutting trail and doing some cabin maintenance. We love sharing our piece of Yukon heaven!

Thanks for looking at this add.
We are a family of 3 with our 1 and a half year old son and three old retired sled dogs. We live 35 minutes from Whitehorse and there is no public transport to commute to town, we are surrounded by wilderness. We developed our home ourself in the last five years; open a road to access the lot, build the house and clearing a part of our 13,5 acres property. We are the kind of people who like to do things ourself; so every year we grow a garden, maintain northern bush berries, go fishing and hunting. Every other year we grow our own chickens.
This became our lifestyle and it's a project of a life time as there is always something to do or a project on the go. If you seek a simple life in a beautiful landscape we would like to hear from you.

As much as you would be part of the family you would spend some time alone and help in and around the house. Care for the chickens and the garden would be the majority of the work needed. It would also be help... more inside
