Have chickens and rabbits, and am always bettering there infrastructure. When the infrastructure is capable, I would like to get more animals! We are on 9 acres just north of Whitehorse, where we house our 42 dog racing sled dog kennel of Alaskan Huskies. The dogs range from 8 months to 14years old and each one of them is very special to us.

We are looking for an individual who would like to help with the care and training of the dogs during summer. In summer we like to free run the dogs as well as bikjore with them, scooter and canicross. This keeps them engaged and fit through the summer.

If you are energetic and have a love for dogs this is all you need. No experience with sled dogs is necessary as we will train you.

There will also be a few other jobs to be done around the farm either planting, weeding and/or feeding/watering a few pigs and meat birds we will be growing for our own consumption.

We have a cabin for our helpers, seperate from the main house. The cabin does not have running water or electicity. There is a battery for electric light if you need it and there are water jugs which can be filled... more inside

LOOKING FOR A HOST!! Room and board.

The farm is just starting, so there is lots to do! We need someone to help with various tasks, could be planting, watering, building projects, greenhouse work, weeding, helping harvest & prep, firewood or kitchen tasks. There are also sleddogs to look after :)

We will provide room and board in exchange for your help. Accomodation is in a small camper, with a Woodstock inside. We are looking for someone flexible and motivated. We live 45 min drive outside of town, no running water. Lots of forest and mountains in the area :)

We would prefer a longer term commitment because there is a lot to learn and you would be working on your own much of the time, but have the company of many furry friends!

Contact us for more details! Email is the best way to reach us, thanks!!

We use organic principles and practices in our growing and animal care but are not registered or certified. Our farm is one of the farms that will be featured in the soon to be released document "First We Eat".

My Name is Andreas and I immigrated to the Yukon, Canada, 31 years ago from Germany. I started working in a underground goldmine. When the mine shut down, i started a construction business and worked on my own for many years. In 2009 i rolled my dumptruck and my life was changed forever. 28 fractures left me with 35% disability, and therefore i will need a extra hand to do things around the house, like cleaning, gardening, take care of animals and so on. I live on a sunny hill overlooking Marsh Lake and the fishing, canoeing or just go for a swim is awesome.Easter weekend i am in Dawson Creek and i drive back to the yukon on 21 or 22 april, you need a ride to the yukon let me know.

Looking for an adventure? Then come to my house!!!

I have been hosting help-xers for the past four years and trying to ensure they have an awesome time while in Dawson.

FYI, we live off grid in West Dawson City. That means you have to take a ferry each day you want to come to Dawson City proper. Living off grid means I haul my own water and juggle working full time and live 4 km from town and have bikes, canoe and love to camp.

I am easy going, humorous and busy. I have a goal to be the best host ever! Check out helpers, Ulysses and Chloe's review and look at help-xers Kevin, Audrey and Sandra in my photo gallery! You will become family as you fit in around the cabin and it would help if you like soccer as we are a soccer family! (I mean what other sport is there?)

I am a single dad raising two girls 12 and 9. I have lots of stuff that needs to be done as my girls keep me busy! If you like landscaping, gardening, building things (like tree forts), carpentry or helpi... more inside

We moved here in 2006. Our dream became true. We want to live closer and with the nature. So we started our Hobby-farm which is home for 3 horses, 3 Yaks, 2 dogs, 4 goats, chickens, rabbits and pigs in the summer. We also have a big garden.
You would help with meals, daily chores, farm work, maintenance and repair, gardens, wood-cutting and farm sit when you feel comfortable to do so. We are also on Airbnb.
We expect some flexibility with the hours (as farm work is often weather dependent) and some self initiative.
There are lots of opportunities to explore the outdoors: hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing, horseback-riding etc.
We eat our homegrown/homemade food as much as possible.
We are looking forward to meet you!

Welcome!
I have a large garden in beautiful Mount Lorne 25 minutes south of Whitehorse.
You will be surrounded by meadows, forest, mountains and wilderness. Lots of opportunities for hiking, fishing, canoeing, etc.
This year I will need help with gardening as well as cabin building. I plan to build 2 or 3 rental cabins to supplement my income.
You will have a wall tent as accommodation and all food is provided.
25 to 30 hours of work a week is expected. Some work will be helping me with milling logs and construction and some will be gardening.
Weekends are free time and if I am going hiking, boating, etc. you are more than welcome to join me.
