We are an older couple with a Small 28 acre developing farm located 20 km from Dawson City Yukon on the banks of the beautiful Klondike River, which must be crossed in either a motor boat or canoe.

We have market gardens, selling our produce at Farmers Market once a week, greenhouses, chickens (both laying chickens and meat birds),goats and possibly pigs. During the 2018 season there will be weeding, making hay, firewood, expanding gardens and and the berry patch, picking wild berries for jams, picking and preserving vegetables. We also want to do some barn building.

We use organic principles and practices in our growing and animal care but are not registered or certified.

In exchange for help on these projects we have a holiday trailer for you to live in, with outhouse and outside shower and laundry facility. Meals will be at our house with most everything grown on the farm.

We have a beautiful property an hour south of Whitehorse, 65 acres where we home school our two kids (11 & 13). We have two cabins for nightly rentals, a publishing business, a descent garden, plenty of yard work, a pond/swimming pool and a beautiful deck with lake, mountain and glacier view!

We're looking for help with anything and everything and will consider you as family. We want this to be as much fun for you as it is for us.

We also offer the use of bicycles a canoe, and kayak.

The photos in our profile show Crag Lake in front of our home, Oscar enjoying the view from Caribou Mountain, Our solar panel array (because I'm proud of that), our pond and deck and Adney with her donkey Noodles.

Please email or call if you're interested.

We look forward to meeting you. Please note in the winter months there's not much work here so we can only accommodate one person at a time.

Cheers,

Greg & Krystal

A nice residential area - best really - of Whitehorse. 20 minute walk to downtown and 1 minute or less to great hiking/biking trails. In exchange for 20 hours help per week I provide accommodation. Food and beverages are your responsibility but I can give you a ride to Superstore for cheap food.

If you have knowledge or at least interest and initiative you could help me set up some gardens for food. I set one up last summer but not in time to plant much. This spring is time to plant more things!

I have a lot of camping equipment as well as canoes if you want to borrow anything for a day trip. For longer trips I resumed a canoe rental business and will post the url here soon. Mountain bike also available to borrow and for the rental business it includes motorcycles, a camper van, and I plan to add scooters shortly.

Please note that I began a collection of pet reptiles in 2012 so if you have any fear of snakes or lizards then this is not the best home for you! They stay in th... more inside

We are a small but growing farm in the beautiful Yukon Territory, Canada. We have laying chickens, sheep, Alpacas, horses and a few sled dogs. Plus we get meat chickens in summer. We sell eggs, meat birds and lambs. I also can vegetables and do baking in fall for sale at winter markets. Work here would include taking care of animals, cleaning coops and corrals, etc, gardening, fencing, building, canning, clearing etc. We could provide a furnished wall tent or motor home or camper to live in plus most meals. Or bring your own motor home or camper as we have room to park and possibly electrical hookup. If you enjoy the outdoors and the farm life and have some experience with animals and/or gardening etc then this might be right for you. Our farm is about 45 minutes from whitehorse so if you have a vehicle or valid drivers licence that is good in Canada that's a bonus as I only go to town once a week. Also it's not all about work! There's great fishing nearby, hunting with us i... more inside

Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about us.

We are a young family consisting of myself, my sweet preschooler and kindergartener and a small but competitive dog sled and skijoring team. Our property is located on the Annie Lake Road, in the heart of prime dog mushing territory.

We are currently looking for a dog handler(s) and helper who would be able to start anytime.

Responsibilities include giving excellent care and attention to the sled dogs, as well as odd jobs around the property, and some childcare.

Lovely accommodation is provided, as well as many other bonuses. This position would be ideal for a couple or a pair of friends or a single person, ideally someone who has their own vehicle.

We would prefer a longer term commitment because there is a lot to learn and you would be working on your own much of the time.

Please email us with any questions you have. We look forward to hearing from you!

Have chickens and rabbits, and am always bettering there infrastructure. When the infrastructure is capable, I would like to get more animals! I live outside of Dawson City, love to explore the wilderness, so if you are adventurous it could be fun(if you desired to tag along)

We moved here in 2006. Our dream became true. We want to live closer and with the nature. So we started our Hobby-farm which is home for 4 horses, 3 Yaks, 2 dogs, 4 goats, chickens, rabbits and pigs in the summer. We also have a big garden.
You would help with meals, daily chores, farm work, maintenance and repair, gardens, wood-cutting and farm sit when you feel comfortable to do so.
We expect some flexibility with the hours (as farm work is often weather dependent) and some self initiative.
There are lots of opportunities to explore the outdoors: hiking, fishing canoeing, horseback-riding etc.
You would live in an authentic Yurt from Mongolia and of course enjoy our homegrown/homemade food.
We are looking forward to meet you!

Our kennel is about 40 minutes north of Whitehorse up the Mayo Rd. going to Dawson. Grizzly Valley area.

We have 2 rottie x's who are very friendly and live with us in the house along with a Padenco from a rescue in Spain. He is definitely our entertainment at times. Our purebred rottie also lives in the house with us. Puck is a sweet boy and a little grumpy when his sons are around. He loves to go for walks without them. lol So you must love dogs to enjoy your stay here.

No experience required - just a love of animals, and working with them. We will provide training. The work is heavy at times so you must be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs. You must also be confident working on your own from time to time.

There is kennel maintenance as well as poop scooping, watering feeding and playing with the dogs. Training will be in full swing very soon. You will be given a team to train and have the opportunity to do some racing as well provided you can show you can handl... more inside
