Experience the mountains and wilderness of Yukon and parts of Alaska!! From the Midnight Sun in summer to Northern Lights in winter, learn why we call it: Yukon, the Magic and Mystery.

Help me live a rustic wilderness life away from the digital speed of today. We do wilderness adventures, activities and some roadtrips. No Work Visa required!

Although the house is located in a wilderness residential community with cellular service and WiFi, we can shut off cell phones and laptops at home, we can use oil lamps for light and wood stove for heat and we can play board games at the kitchen table, or we can watch a dvd movie on a flat screen TV!!

How better to connect with nature than a dip in natural hot springs or wilderness lakes? While lakes are summer only, there are a few natural hot and warm springs in the area. Some are known, some are secret. ;)

Mix all this this with other activities that show the best of Yukon life. Campfires, canoeing, biking, camping and snowshoei... more inside

We are grateful for help with all aspects of farm operations, field work, house work and animal care. We prefer to have helpers who can stay at least 3-4 weeks as it takes some time to learn the routines. Our life on the ranch is full of hard work. Taking pleasure in working physically with your body and enjoying solitude would be necessary to have a good time here. We have very simple accommodations and no running water in the cabins. We moved here in 2006. Our dream became true. We want to live closer and with the nature. So we started our Hobby-farm which is home for 3 horses, 3 Yaks, 2 dogs, 4 goats, chickens, rabbits and pigs in the summer. We also have a big garden.
You would help with meals, daily chores, farm work, maintenance and repair, gardens, wood-cutting and farm sit when you feel comfortable to do so. We are also on Airbnb.
We expect some flexibility with the hours (as farm work is often weather dependent) and some self initiative.
There are lots of opportunities to explore the outdoors: hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing, horseback-riding etc.
We eat our homegrown/homemade food as much as possible.
We are looking for some strong hands for a fencing project in the spring 2020 (April/May depending on the weather).
We are looking forward meeting you!
