We are a 500 cow calf ranch, putting 1200 tons of winter feed up, farming, irrigation, cattle movements and calving. Gardening and general maintenance around the buildings. Located 50 km from town in a valley that runs north to south. Private accommodations are available, prefer a couple because of the distance to town but will take singles.Food supplied. If you like mountains, wildlife and exercise and you are interested in a true country experience this is the place to be. For the summer we are haying, moving irrigation pipes, and cattle around. Round up beginning for weaning in November. There are tasks for all skill levels and strengths so don't be afraid to join us. Would like it if you came for a month but short stays are welcomed. We welcome any help and would like people to share their knowledge with us. No experience is necessary just enthusiasm. We start up in March for calving and run through to December.

Come spend some time at our ranch in the sunny Okanagan valley. Yes we still have bus service here since Greyhound ceased operating in western Canada. Ebus has taken over a route from Vancouver, Kelowna, Vernon & Kamloops so lucky for us. I feel wwoofers will have a hard time getting to their destinations this year so keep that in mind when you are looking for your next place. We are looking for helpers from April til September. We are open to short or longer term helpers. We are located on an 80 acre horse ranch 20 minutes from Vernon, B.C. on Bluenose road in the North Okanagan. After operating a child`s riding camp from 1991 til last year we are now focusing on renting out our cabins/facility. We rent out our facility to clubs or groups for events, weddings, family reunions or getaways. We are ideally looking for a couple or 2 friends but a single person would work out great as well. Private accommodation would be in a 35` trailer fully equipped and permanently set up, with a qu... more inside

We are a family-run, community-driven, biodiverse vegetable farm in Rossland, British Columbia. We are in the heart of the Kootenay's in a beautiful mountain town. Our farm grows and raises nutrient-dense vegetables, herbs, flowers, fruit, microgreens, and heritage chicken. We are a family of 5 with another child on the way (summer 2019) and the main goal of our farm is to inspire our community to love and appreciate good, healthy, locally grown food. We love to have new friends come and work with us on the farm, and are looking for folks who love farm work, and have a deep love and appreciation for growing food. Folks who come to work with us will need to also love kids, as our children are as much a part of our farm as Dan and I are.

Working with us on our farm will include all kinds of different tasks - from day to day farm maintenance (building beds, weeding, tending to crops) to helping us with harvest, processing, packaging and farmers' markets, to helping with child-mindi... more inside
