Currently we are looking for helpers from mid June - July 25

We are a holiday resort in the North Okanagan area of B.C. Canada, bordering Echo Lake Provincial Park. This area has many lakes and hiking trails and is the perfect area for the outdoor enthusiast. Our small resort is family oriented with just 7 cabins situated around our private lake.
We like to have weekly cookouts with our guests in the summer months and will sometimes also take them on river floating trips. The Okanagan region of BC is a popular tourist destination because of its many lakes, mountains, wineries, golf courses, and ski resorts. Canoeing, Kayaking, Hiking, Swimming, and fishing are also all popular sports here in our area. Our helpers have the use of our kayaks, canoe and bicycles and can hike the trails close by.

We, Kim and Harald, have been the the owners/operators of our Nature Resort for the past 22 years. Harald is of German heritage, grew up in Africa, but immigrated to Canada 39 years ago... more inside

We are a 500 cow calf ranch, putting 1200 tons of winter feed up, farming, irrigation, cattle movements and calving. Gardening and general maintenance around the buildings. Located 50 km from town in a valley that runs north to south. Private accommodations are available, prefer a couple because of the distance to town but will take singles. Food supplied. If you like mountains, wildlife and exercise and you are interested in a true country experience this is the place to be. We start calving in March through till Mid April. For the summer we are haying, moving irrigation pipes, and cattle around. Round up beginning for weaning in November. There are tasks for all skill levels and strengths so don't be afraid to join us. Would like it if you came for a month but short stays are welcomed. We welcome any help and would like people to share their knowledge with us. No experience is necessary just enthusiasm. We start up in March for calving and run through to December.

***Currently looking for an experienced rider to join our team***

Our 164-acre ranch is located halfway between the Pacific Coast and the Rocky Mountains, right on a beautiful wilderness lake in the Nicola Valley. We lie in the heart of British Columbia’s big Ranching country and are surrounded by vast forests, rolling hills and boundless prairies where beavers, bears, moose and pumas still roam.

As "Private Cowboy and Country Club" we are offering services like horseback riding, boating, fishing, restaurant/bar, accommodations, maintenance, etc. to our Ranch Residents and members only.

Summer or winter, there’s always loads to do with a herd of 11 horses like mucking out stalls and paddocks, maintaining round pen, arena and fields. For the summer / fall of 2019 we are looking for experienced riders who are willing to stay for a longer period to help us with all these horse related tasks in addition to the day-to-day chores at the Ranch. This is a horse ranch with an organic fruit orchard and garden area. It would be good if helpers are familiar with horses preferably natural horsemanship knowledge. If you are not familiar with horses you won't be involved with them for safety reasons. Helpers would be dealing with horses and possibly riding if they have enough experience. I have vast experience to share in horsemanship, organic gardening, horticulture and carpentry. Helpers would be helping in the garden, orchard and general ranch type work. Collecting and processing winter wood. Other related duties. Hours would be about 6 hours daily with weekends off. This is a non-smoking home and ranch. Phone and internet available. No Cell reception or WiFi.Vegetarians are welcome. No pets as my dog loves humans but not other animals. Because of the horses, terrain and river I don't think children would be acceptable for safety concerns. It is approx. 45 minutes to two major centers. I am an excellent cook and your meals w... more inside

Come spend some time at our ranch in the sunny Okanagan valley. Yes we still have bus service here since Greyhound ceased operating in western Canada. Ebus has taken over a route from Vancouver, Kelowna, Vernon & Kamloops so lucky for us. I feel wwoofers will have a hard time getting to their destinations this year so keep that in mind when you are looking for your next place. We are looking for helpers from April til September. We are open to short or longer term helpers. We are located on an 80 acre ranch 20 minutes from Vernon, B.C. on Bluenose road in the North Okanagan. After operating a child`s riding camp from 1991 til last year we are now focusing on renting out our cabins/facility. We rent out our facility to clubs or groups for events, weddings, family reunions or getaways & of course we still do horse boarding. We are ideally looking for a couple or 2 friends but a single person would work out great as well. Private accommodation would be in a 35` trailer fully equipped ... more inside
