The Compound is a philosophical experiment. It's an experiment in communal living, in food production, open-mindedness, alternative modes of being, bartering, agile development and lumberjack architecture. Come spend some time at our ranch in the sunny Okanagan valley. Yes we still have bus service here since Greyhound ceased operating in western Canada. Ebus has taken over a route from Vancouver, Kelowna, Vernon & Kamloops so lucky for us. I feel wwoofers will have a hard time getting to their destinations this year so keep that in mind when you are looking for your next place. We are looking for helpers from April til September. We are open to short or longer term helpers. We are located on an 80 acre ranch 20 minutes from Vernon, B.C. on Bluenose road in the North Okanagan. After operating a child`s riding camp from 1991- 2017 we are now focusing on renting out our cabins/facility. We rent out our facility to clubs or groups for events, weddings, family reunions or getaways. We are ideally looking for a couple or 2 friends but a single person would work out great as well. Private accommodation would be in a 35` trailer fully equipped and permanently set up, with a queen bed in 1 r... more inside
