We are wrapping up our 3rd transition year and in 2020 become certified organic. There are 7 acres of apples, mostly Gala and Ambrosia, a 2 acre pasture (with sheep, chickens and ducks) and plenty of garden around house, barn and shop. We also have a permaculture orchard with mixed fruit tree planting and companion plants.
The view is brilliant looking out over the north Okanagan valley with Okanagan and Kalamalka lakes in the distance. We're beside a trail system that runs along BX creek, to a waterfall and also along Silver Star Foothills. It is 7kms into town, and about 20minutes up the hill to Sovereign Lake X-Country and Silver Star Ski Resort just beyond.

In 2020 we will have 2 positions with pay and accommodation available for farm workers from March thru October. Either a stipend or wage based on experience.

Our 164-acre ranch is located halfway between the Pacific Coast and the Rocky Mountains, right on a beautiful wilderness lake in the Nicola Valley. We lie in the heart of British Columbia’s big Ranching country and are surrounded by vast forests, rolling hills and boundless prairies where beavers, bears, moose and pumas still roam.

As "Private Cowboy and Country Club" we are offering services like horseback riding, boating, fishing, restaurant/bar, accommodations, maintenance, etc. to our Ranch Residents and members only.

Summer or winter, there’s always loads to do with a herd of 11 horses like mucking out stalls and paddocks, maintaining round pen, arena and fields. For the summer / fall of 2019 we are looking for experienced riders who are willing to stay for a longer period to help us with all these horse related tasks in addition to the day-to-day chores at the Ranch. In spring we are busy getting the horses ready for summer and when our Ranch Residents are here in summ... more inside

We are a 500 cow calf ranch, putting 1200 tons of winter feed up, farming, irrigation, cattle movements and calving. Gardening and general maintenance around the buildings. Located 50 km from town in a valley that runs north to south. Private accommodations are available, prefer a couple because of the distance to town but will take singles. Food supplied. If you like mountains, wildlife and exercise and you are interested in a true country experience this is the place to be. We start calving in March through till Mid April. For the summer we are haying, moving irrigation pipes, and cattle around. Round up beginning for weaning in November. There are tasks for all skill levels and strengths so don't be afraid to join us. Would like it if you came for a month but short stays are welcomed. We welcome any help and would like people to share their knowledge with us. No experience is necessary just enthusiasm. We start up in March for calving and run through to December.

If you're looking for a longer term stay (From a few weeks to several months) we are the place you're looking for! Plowing our 2km driveway after a snowfall, cleaning snow off the solar modules, light housekeeping (cleaning, meal prep), feed and water the horses, dog(s) & cat, firewood splitting & stacking. We do have an RV site available if you want to bring your camper/trailer.

We ride our horses year 'round so there will be plenty of opportunities to ride (based on your level of experience).
