House & Projects:
When we bought our house a few years ago, it needed a LOT of work: remodeling, painting, carpentry, landscaping, etc. We've made many improvements, but there are still many more projects to do.

We are a multi-generational family of 4 ranging in age from 28 to 63. Plus, we have 17 chickens, 2 border collies and sometimes, a corgi.

In the last several years, we have had great experiences with many HelpXers from many places working on many projects! Each experience has been unique and wonderful! We’ve accomplished so many things and have made so many wonderful memories together.

Many of our HelpXers have slept on our 2 comfy couches, but most times there are private rooms available. We also use our camper for accommodations when we need extra space.

There is always painting, painting and more painting to be done! It is a never-ending project!! In addition, we do gardening and landscaping, plus splitting and stacking firewood. We will also have some i... more inside

Historic inn transitioning to monthly rental studios, in small town on the Mendocino Coast, 3 hours north of San Francisco. We need help with maintenance and buiding projects. Day-to-day operations may include any of the following: cleaning, painting, gardening. Special projects may include construction, plumbing, electrical, and painting. Special consideration will be given to helpers who have construction skills. I am also designing tiny houses, and plan to start building this winter.

No TV, but we have WIFI. We have organic kitchen gardens as well as ornamental grounds.

No pets, drugs or smoking. Non-drinkers, or moderate drinkers welcome. Most important, NON-SMOKERS ONLY -we have guests who are very sensitive to smoke. It is not enough to smoke away from the premises, smoke clings to clothing and hair, and lingers in common areas even if smokers were just rushing through.

In exchange for 20 hrs/week (with at least 2 days off each week) we provide lodging and v... more inside

Nestled in the coastal range of Mendocino County, California (about 45 minutes west of Ukiah) we are establishing a small farm and wildlife sanctuary.  Based on principles of sustainability & permaculture our expanding ridge top garden consists of a variety of fruits, veggies, herbs and flowers.  Aside from garden tasks additional projects may include gathering seaweed and other native wild foods, cooking, canning, fermenting foods, making herbal preparations, habitat restoration, brush and trail clearing, small scale green building and learning how to build and maintain an off grid infrastructure and solar system.

Our homestead is remote.  We are currently looking for hardworking self-starters  who are open minded, love to work outdoors, want to unplug and would enjoy the serenity of ... more inside

Enjoy a stay at a 40 acre permaculture, nursery and farm, located south of Molalla, Oregon. We are working on establishing full circle sustainable systems so that we require little to no input to feed our animals, soil, plants and ourselves. Educational opportunities ranging from nursery work (the propagation by seed, cutting, grafting, layering etc.), agriculture work (growing vegetables and fruit for csa boxes, designing and establishing food forests, permaculture maintenance and harvesting methods), livestock work (learning how to feed & care for chickens and other animals with little grain &permaculture methods), construction work (learning how to sustainably build pole barns, ponds, swales, chicken coops, and other structures). Our farm’s many microclimates give opportunity to learn to cultivate food in sun, shade, wet, or dry climates etc.

We currently need somebody who enjoys cooking, cleaning, house projects, puppy care, etc. Around 20 hours a week of these tasks would co... more inside

Come explore 5 acres with beach access on Lopez Island next to Shark Reef Sanctuary (a park where Sea Lions frolic with many small beach coves and amazing views).

The helper here now (she's awesome) says I need to update this - it's nicer than I make it sound and need to add pictures of myself - so here it goes...

A beautiful spot, with beaches all around and many trails on and around the property. Deer, Eagles, Seals, Sea lions, otter, rabbits, wood peckers and more.

This is a beautiful area, however we will be roughing it (outhouse/off-grid for now), staying in a `tour bus` or a tent while we work to complete the tiny house and other projects...think witnessing the birth of this place - here`s your chance to help it grow!(and it needs your help).

Only a couple reviews here, so I can send you a link up my profile on a similar site (18 references - all positive).
