Location: suburban neighborhood in Bellingham, WA -- you can read more below the ******* about our area.

We ask for approximately 24 hours of help each week.

This winter, we hope to "share" our Helpers (one at a time) with A's parents, who live a mile away. A's parents are 90 and 94 and are still living independently in their home, and our goal is to support them to continue to be able to live independently. We're seeking Helpers who are interested in staying primarily with us but helping mostly at A's parents' house. We're hoping to find Helpers interested in spending at least a month with us (and longer if it works out) to help in this way.

The Helpers will live at our house most of the time but will go to A's parents' house as described below.

The help needed at A's parents' is:

Light housekeeping (they also have someone who thoroughly cleans twice a month)

Preparing/cooking lunch and occasional dinners

Being in the house so A's mother can go out (A's fath... more inside

We are a small friendly hostel near the coast in California, halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco. We provide lodging for 24 guests from all around the world. We have four staff members who share the duties of running the hostel.

For new volunteers, the work consists mainly of cleaning the hostel, but it is light cleaning since we do it each day. We usually train volunteers on the morning pancake shift (staff favorite) after they have done the cleaning shift for a few weeks.

We require 18-20 hours of work each week (usually 5 shifts, 3-4 hours per shift) in exchange for a bed in a dormitory and some food such as rice, beans, lentils, quinoa, eggs, oatmeal, sourdough pancakes, and coffee. We also have various garden plots around the hostel where we often grow organic vegetables for our consumption.

Because our facility is small, we cannot host children, pets, and most of the time we can not accept more than one new person at a time. We usually accept ... more inside

RIGHT NOW I`M LOOKING FOR SOMEBODY TO START HELPING ME 2018! I`M ALSO PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME.
Vegan and vegetarian friendly!

Hi my name is Bruce.
I`m wondering if you would be interested in helping someone like myself. By the previous sentence I mean someone who is charming, wonderful, engaging, intelligent and shy. I broke my neck when I was 18 years old and have been in a wheelchair ever since. After breaking my neck I went back to school and received a couple of degrees. I`m looking for someone who is energetic, intelligent and ready to take on a challenge. It`s important to me that whomever I choose has good sense humor and can understand sarcasm. I`m also a liberal and I am concerned about politics along with many other things. If you`d like to know more about me and what assisting me entails I would be h... more inside

Update 2018: We are looking for a volunteer to help us finish a bedroom that needs a roof and 3 walls built before winter. Preferably carpenters and handy man!

Dandelion Farm is a magical place, located on 190 pristine acres in North California, about 2 1/2 hr. drive from San Francisco. Here you will find a deep serenity, both playful and more profound inspirational ART intended to enhance sustainability and lift the spirit of all. We have lived sustainability here for 38yrs as research and demonstration for the sake of the future of humanity and nature.
Dandelion Farm is NOT for profit. We have practiced "NO TILL" for the last 10 years. Some areas are evolving into forms of permaculture that might better be called "tending nature". Less and less is done that intrudes upon nature, while encouraging nature to work with and for us and achieve an ecological balance.

Organic gardens,fruit/nut orchards, berries, grapes. Passive solar construction and natural buildings, ponds, gre... more inside

Historic vacation rental in small town on the Mendocino Coast, 3 hours north of San Francisco. We need help with maintenance and special projects. Day-to-day operations may include any of the following: cleaning, painting, gardening. Special projects may include construction, plumbing, electrical, and painting. Special consideration will be given to helpers who have construction skills.

No TV, but we have WIFI. We have organic kitchen gardens as well as ornamental grounds.

No pets, drugs or smoking. Non-drinkers, or moderate drinkers welcome. Most important, NON-SMOKERS ONLY -we have guests who are very sensitive to smoke. If you are committed to smoking, please find lodging elsewhere.

After 9 years in beautiful Haines, Alaska I have relocated to a raw mountain ranch at 4750 ft elevation, located in Crescent Lake Oregon. We have been here now for 2 years and it just keeps getting better, thanks to the fantastic helpers! I will also offer BandB for a nominal fee, and which includes hands on ranch experiences for those who are unable to volunteer. We enjoy our guests of all natures!

Our goal is to open the ranch up to guests and provide interactive ranch tours.

Hello,

We are looking for friendly and fun volunteers for housekeeping and reception shifts. If you`re an international traveler temporarily in San Diego for 1-3 months, and have a plan to continue your onward overseas travel, we would be very happy to meet you. Most of our positions are quickly filled by guests already staying with us, wanting to extend their time in gorgeous, sunny San Diego. But often there arises a need for a few more fun loving, free spirited souls.

Our staff work 21 hours per week with your hours normally split over 5 days, in exchange for a bed in a 4 - 8 bed dorm room.

Howdy,

I live outside of Yosemite National Park in the town of Groveland on highway 120 and would love to host travelers!

I spent most of my twenties traveling around the world and have been the recipient of such amazing kindness. I love my mountains, the Sierra Nevada and am so excited to share one of my favorite places on the planet.

I am 35 year old guy who loves climbing, cycling and living in the mountains with his dog. I design water systems and love my work. I am always up for talking about water, soil, etc. I have traveled quite a bit and speak a few languages badly. I consider myself a lifelong student and believe that everyone has something to teach!

I recently purchased a home within walking distance of Groveland town and am looking for HelpXers to assist me with some projects at my house. In exchange for your help, I will provide accommodation, simple meals but more importantly local mountain knowledge (climbing/hiking, mountain biking, sw... more inside
