We are a Jewish am ha` aretz family on a small organic (non-certified) farmstead in the foothills of the Rocky mountains in north-central Idaho. We are near the Clearwater River and the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. but our most special crop, and the reason we live the simple life we do, is our children.

Our goal is to raise our family in a healthy, country, close to the earth kind of way. Animals, gardening, baking, herbal remedies, natural food preservation, bio-dynamic gardening methods.... We love having volunteers, getting to know other cultures, sharing stories, and experimenting with new ideas. Plus, the help has been an amazing blessing.

Skills you could learn here, learning about fermenting breads, sourdough, baking in a cob oven, ethical poultry production and gardening, and different methods of making soils more fertile organically.

South of Spanish Fork, Utah, in a semi rural environment, we have 15 acres (5.85 hectares) upon which sit a gorgeous temple, a 6,000 sq foot residential facility with comfortable double rooms, two outdoor stages, a large covered pavilion, and amenities for parrots, peacocks, llamas and 3 small cows.

There is a 200,000 gallon lake with waterfall from which we gravity feed one acre under cultivation. The acreage produces chemical free tomatoes, eggplants, varieties of chilis, squash, melons, corn, cabbage, broccoli, green peppers, potatoes and flowers for worship.

We sponsor lots of festivals and yearly yoga retreats. March of 2019 we hosted the 24th annual Festival of Colors (Holi) which attracted 25,000 attendees over a 2 day period.

We have just moved our farm from Colorado to the Black Hills of SD. This is a chance to get in on the ground floor of setting up a homestead farm. We currently have hogs, llamas, yaks, goats and poultry. We will be adding sheep and cattle plus building a geo-air temperature controlled greenhouse this fall. This is a great opportunity to "build" a farm with people who have done it once before. If you can help with construction or have plumbing, electrical or welding skills that would be an extra bonus for us. We have an 18 foot 5th wheel trailer set up for living quarters or you can bring your RV of some sort to live on the property in. We can supply you hook up for water and electricity.

Hello potential helpers! Looking for a peaceful stay in Colorado`s Rocky Mountains in exchange for some help on our property?

We would be thrilled to find someone with stone and/or brick masonry skills, experience with concrete, tile setting, cabinetry, or carpentry skills. Or engineers of any kind - you engineers are always amazing!

Another area in which help is needed: previous experience with WooCommerce stores, integrating them with an accounting system, and social media marketing, SEO, would make you Rona's best friend.

We may be able to use your help in landscaping/general labor shorter term, on a last minute basis only, April through October only.

We will provide very comfortable accommodation, great meals, and side sightseeing trips.

We`ll be doing things like building a flagstone patio, stucco walls, and closing in a carport. Also, we`ll be putting up cedar fencing, and doing some interior renovations as well as an addition to our house.

Right now I need someone for farm-work and maybe riding horses with me and helping with fencing and cutting trees for firewood! We have 3 meals after your choice, 1-2 days off however you wish, I am flexible and like the one helping me to be happy... while time allows maybe riding horses all day, if you like and if you are a good rider.

I have a Ranch with 12 Icelandic horses, did have some horse breeding, raising, training and now maybe sale some Icelandic Horses, in the south west corner of Colorado, bordering New Mexico Carson Nat. Forest. I am looking for helpers that like to come to the Ranch for working vacations while working outside in nature all day. I am from Switzerland, I speak German and English.
My wish is to find helper-ladies for riding horses, that are already pretty good riders if they like to do the riding as a main thing for training horses. The horses are little so riding is only available if the helper is not too heavy. Important is also that the helper lik... more inside

It may be of interest to volunteers to know that profits from my hostel and bed and breakfast are used to fund my humanitarian work and projects so your help will actually help me help others!

I am looking for volunteers at my hostel and bed and breakfast near Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Help needed would include making beds, cleaning, stocking breakfast foods, laundry, checking in guests and other chores associated with the business and around the house/property. Volunteers will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with guests from all over the world so this can be a fun cultural experience!

My hostel is located in Driggs, Idaho in the heart of the Tetons just 1 hour from Jackson, Wyoming and Grand Teton National Park, and my bed and breakfast is located in Island Park, Idaho just 45 minutes from Yellowstone. Volunteers might be able to help at both places so on their days off they could easily visit the national park they are closest to.

Small sheep ranch in northern Montana offers hands-on-learning experiences. We run about 40 head of ewes for wool and lamb crops. There is need for sheep herding help in the summer, lambing help during around April in particular. Shipping is in August. But internships accepted all year.
Other ranch activities include plantings for wildlife, fencing, farming, gardening and landscaping, building and repairs. Besides sheep, ranch animals include chickens, horses, and goats.
I would welcome Helpers who have some skills in landscaping, gardening, carpentry, construction, painting, driving tractors, fencing - or who want to learn. Several projects are lined up that would give a variety of experiences.
Regenerative is a byword for goals here. Restoring fields to grassland.
Historic preservation of structures on this old homestead is another goal. WORK BEGINS IN AUGUST 2020!

Summer and fall are wonderful times to spend in this area as time off to see Glacier Park and rodeos... more inside
