Hello potential helpers! Looking for a peaceful stay in Colorado`s Rocky Mountains in exchange for some help on our property?

UPDATE June 18, 2018: We are looking for an intelligent, organized, strong helper to work with as general labor. If you have any of the specialized skills listed, that`d be terrific, but at this point we are not as particular about those specialties.

We would be thrilled to find someone with stone and/or brick masonry skills, experience with concrete, tile setting, cabinetry, or carpentry skills. Or engineers of any kind - you engineers are always amazing!

Another area in which help is needed: previous experience with setting up WooCommerce stores and integrating them with an accounting system would make you Rona's best friend.

We are a Jewish am ha` aretz family on a small organic (non-certified) farmstead in the foothills of the Rocky mountains in north-central Idaho. We are near the Clearwater River and the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. but our most special crop, and the reason we live the simple life we do, is our children.

Our goal is to raise our family in a healthy, country, close to the earth kind of way. Animals, gardening, baking, herbal remedies, natural food preservation, bio-dynamic gardening methods.... We love having volunteers, getting to know other cultures, sharing stories, and experimenting with new ideas. Plus, the help has been an amazing blessing.

Skills you could learn here, learning about fermenting breads, sourdough, baking in a cob oven, ethical poultry production and gardening, and different methods of making soils more fertile o... more inside

Farm/AIRBNB/Warmshowers Host in Montana Paradise!

SKILLS to USE constuction, meat and dairy goat husbandry, (goats and chickens), log splitter, stacking firewood, various yard and farm work, misc maintenance in and out of the house. You just need to be a willing helper who doesn`t mind working outside.
You will be asked to show your passport or US ID for us to photo copy for safety purposes only.

OUR WEATHER: Obviously, in winter months it`s cold in Montana. (FYI: Our area in Montana has milder winter weather in comparison to the rest of Montana. We are shielded from harsh wind chills by mountain ranges on both sides. Winter helpers would need to be willing to help feed the animals in the barn and carry firewood into the house. And some cutting of firewood. The rest of the work would predominantly be in the house or garage.)

We are a family of three going in to our third year of our cabin rental business (22 West) and the workload is a little much for us at times. Our 45 acre property is tucked up against the west side of North Park, bordering the Routt National Forest. In order for us to focus on our other projects instead of just keeping the wheels greased so-to-speak, we are looking for up to two people to stay with us to help with the cabin upkeep and supply in between our guest's stay.

We only ask 20-25 hours a week maximum, and those hours don't necessarily need to be filled up on the cabin work. If you have farming, permaculture, or other similar backgrounds, we'd love the input on our unique greenhouse project. We are currently planning on supplying one dinner each night for your help, but eventually we hope to share our own fresh produce with you as well. Deb is also the founder of North Park Wildlife Rehab and covers three counties on wildlife calls. This is a huge part of what we do here a... more inside

We are a 20 acre off-grid, solar powered, fairly remote homestead on the side of a mountain. We are at 4700 feet elevation. We specialize in raising cashmere goats in a holistic manner. We live in a very small strawbale house, cook on a wood cookstove in the winter, electric hot plates and a little convection oven in the summer.
The land is very special around here, with stunning views and no houses in sight, although there are a couple of neighbors not too far away. Wildlife is everywhere, from rabbits and deer, elk and moose, to foxes, coyotes, wolves, bear and mountain lions.
We have gardens, both veggie and flowers, plus fruit trees and berries. 27 cashmere goats, 23 Chickens,2 dairy goats, 1 cat and 2 Livestock Guardian dogs.
There are goat pens to clean, gardens to tend to, and firewood to gather, among other things. We have some building projects planned, too. We're bordered by thousands of acres of National Forest lands, so there are lots of hikin... more inside

Our small patch of ground is located in the heart of south central Idaho. We are surrounded by some of the best outdoor recreation in the western U.S. Have you heard of Sun Valley, Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, City of Rocks or Redfish Lake? The list of things to do around here is very long and would take up more than this page allows.

In exchange for 4 hours per day(8am to 12 pm) Monday thru Friday, (in some weeks we could do M-Th 8-1) you will receive free lodging in our travel trailer, and 2 meals per day plus snacks. For anyone who stays with us in January and February, 4 weekend ski passes at a local resort will be a little bonus! Bikes, weight set, WiFi too!

A lot of our helpers come from other work exchange sites; we do have helpers all through summer each year. We keep the property in shape, care for the animals ( horses, Zebu cow, goats, dogs, birds etc), continue putting up shelters, develop permaculture projects, paint, and form ideas to pull tourists here to the county (eg.continue tweaking our airsoft arenas/ fields etc).
Stay in a trailer unless the weather isn`t suitable; wifi.
Any stay 121 days.

Nonsmokers please (including 420 products) ... seriously! Tools can be dangerous enough.
Usually a 6 day week; Sundays definitely off after caring for the critters. We work until about 2 pm ( hour noon lunchbreak ) The afternoons and evenings are free. Bikes are available to use to the lake and area; excellent library. There is no public transport; not necessary.

The town is small and situated in SE Colorado surrounded by ranches and farming. The Rockies begin only 2 hours distant, with Colorado Springs 1 1/2 h... more inside

Help in a friendly hostel in South Lake Tahoe! We are the one and only hostel in south Lake Tahoe, and we are looking for some truly outstanding people to join our team. We're running a pretty large operation here, with around 65 beds capacity, and our guest service, high standards of cleanliness, and overall efficiency is what has earned us our 4 and 5 star reviews the whole four years we've been open.

We are looking for outgoing, hardworking, friendly smiley, happy, funny, articulate, computer literate humans (or aliens) to join us. We want people who will take initiative to talk to a total stranger, ask someone how their day was, offer recommendations for fun things to do, see a need, fill a need, and overall, just have a willing and hardworking attitude. Competition is incredibly stiff for the limited volunteering spaces we have, and we take only the very best of the best. We want to maintain our reputation as the fun, friendly hostel we are: and our team is what makes that h... more inside
