Our meditation center is part of an international spiritual community dedicated to achieving world peace through following the Buddhist path. Our community consists of residents – people who live onsite here, including ordained monks and nuns – and others who live in the local area. You will find a warm, friendly community here, who strives to exemplify Buddhist practice through public service. This includes providing everyone, regardless of background, experience or belief, the opportunity to learn how to achieve inner peace and happiness through meditation.
Our working visitor program is a great way to experience life at a Buddhist retreat center, learn about Buddhism & meditation, and put your compassion and love for others into action. In exchange for volunteering, working visitors receive accommodation and three vegetarian meals a day. You stay in our dormitories; please bring your own sleeping bag & towel. Bathrooms are shared. All meals are vegetarian; breakfast is self-ser... more inside

We need helpers beginning in February going forward. Our normal stay is 2 weeks but we will try to work with your schedule.

We prefer to have "Helpers" who are willing to socialize with our family and learn what we do as well as teaching us what they do. We want this to be a 2-way street. We also prefer that you have some self-motivation.

Our main focus is the rescue of llamas and alpacas and we need help in the pastures with feeding, fencing, clearing tree branches, burning etc. We have projects going on at all times and can use someone who is willing to learn about our operation. Would also like help with projects around the property including electrical and minor carpentry. Our chickens are in their "palace" due to our Helpxer`s and we now have fresh eggs. We are expanding our chicken palace to move 30 new ones in.

Besides helping with the llamas and alpacas, we have property projects, and other odds and ends.

We have very limited internet (no Wi-Fi) but you can ... more inside

I am an older woman, living on five mostly undeveloped acres just outside Roswell, N.M. (yes, THAT Roswell) who needs help mostly outside, trying to make my property self-sustainable. I'm learning as I go, so trying new things is always fun.

I have just retired from my job and will be traveling the world for the next few years. However, the property still needs caring for and my caretaker, Gary, a HelpXer himself, will be overseeing it and taking over the hosting duties.

Thanks to some marvelous HelpXers in the past, the major (read: really hard) work is done, so now I need folks who can help plant, weed, water and harvest my gardens, as well as feed and care for my two llamas, two goats, duck and dozen or so chickens.

There's still some outdoor cleanup to be done and we both love folks who come up with creative new ideas for my property. (And, if you're into cooking or housekeeping, we won't turn that down either.)

Gary is looking for folks skilled in carpentry (own to... more inside

My husband Tim and I moved out to our place in the desert in January 2008 along with our many plants. It was soon after we arrived that I got re-introduced to the miracle Moringa tree and began growing them. One thing led to another and our company was born. We have continued to grow our little farm to what it is today. We have an orchard with about 50 fruit and nut trees, an enclosed veggie garden area that is protected from wildlife, several growing structures (greenhouses in winter and shade structures in summer), and lots of projects to become more self sustainable, including solar energy production, etc.

We endeavor to provide a vast range of experiences for someone, and to offer a well balanced variety of activities that allows someone to learn as well as to contribute. As our business continues to grow, as well as the natural shift in focus / priorities that happens from season to season, our needs at various times also shift. Our most immediate need at the momen... more inside

Hello! We have a lovely fixer-upper property in Benson (Southeastern Arizona) one mile north of the Amtrak train depot and Interstate 10 and 30 minutes from the Tucson International Airport. We are within half an hour drive to Kartchner Caverns, Patagonia Lake, Parker Canyon Lake, Colossal Caves, Bisbee and Tombstone. Tucson is a 40 minute trip to town.

Our property has incredible potential, and the vision is to create a quirky/artsy Airbnb pet-friendly compound as well as a retreat for artists, writers, musicians, yogis and world travelers. The property has a large pond with cottonwood and mesquite trees and a natural spring (that needs some love) and a heated salt water swimming pool and spa (that has an attached cantina). There are four buildings needing renovations and the vision is to create Taos/Santa Fe style architecture and finishes. We are also planning to have a large organic garden.

There are many projects needing to be done, including: straw bale construction, st... more inside

Hi!! Looking for someone (female) to help me starting in December, and lasting 3-6+ weeks (?). I'm getting ready to downsize, and need help organizing things to either sell or donate. It would be great if you are willing to occasionally cook. Help with computer work would be great too. If my main apartment is not rented as an AirBnB, you'll have your own room there. If the AirBnB gets rented, you'll be sleeping in the loft above my room in my personal apartment (this is a big building!) where there is also a kitchen and bath.
I am an artist working in metal, fiber and mixed media. My main gig is making custom light fixtures
I love meeting new folks and making friends. You will love my cool place as it is colorful and art-filled. I expect you to help me for 3-5 or so hours a day, @ 5 days a week... but it will be a loose schedule. Also, there are all kinds of art materials here.. and you are free to use them during off time. Thanks for checking this out!
