We are a busy family that still loves our own space. We come together for meals, trips, and good conversations, but mostly all go our own ways with our own hobbies and activities. Three adults and three children make for a bustling environment, someone is always on the go, involved in an event, or practicing a skill.

Our house is roomy with plenty of get-together space, but also many bedrooms and separate spaces give us all many opportunities for alone time.

We love to cook, explore, create new adventures anything from hiking in hopes of seeing a rare species or plant to touring the latest Instagram playground.

Because we are so diverse and active, having a helping hand around to help us keep the kitchen and main living spaces orderly and clean is definitely a treat for us. Duties to include washing dishes, dusting, sweeping, mopping and general housekeeping of main areas and the shared bathroom.

We are looking for a couple or two friends to help out with residential gardening. Possibly some indoor work (help clean out and organize garage) as well. Experience with yard maintenance & home projects preferred.

We are located within the city (10 minute drive to downtown if you have vehicle - otherwise, bus access down the block will take you anywhere in the city).

In exhange for 20 hrs work/week per person, we will supply you with food & groceries for your stay. You will have private lodging with your own kitchen to prepare meals and a full bath. Itís actually a really great space (photos below). Washer & dryer available to use in the main house. However, please no smoking inside, or any illegal drugs. Music is great ó just not so loud that you will get my neighbors mad or have the local police visit me. My husband and I live in the front house so you will have privacy in this back building.

If interested, write and let's continue the dialogue.

I am an older woman, living on five mostly undeveloped acres just outside Roswell, N.M. (yes, THAT Roswell) who needs help mostly outside, trying to make my property self-sustainable. I'm learning as I go, so trying new things is always fun.

I have just retired from my job and will be traveling the world for the next few years. However, the property still needs caring for and my caretaker, Gary, a HelpXer himself, will be overseeing it and taking over the hosting duties.

Thanks to some marvelous HelpXers in the past, the major (read: really hard) work is done, so now I need folks who can help plant, weed, water and harvest my gardens, as well as feed and care for my two llamas, two goats, duck and dozen or so chickens.

There's still some outdoor cleanup to be done and we both love folks who come up with creative new ideas for my property. (And, if you're into cooking or housekeeping, we won't turn that down either.)

Gary is looking for folks skilled in carpentry (own to... more inside

We need helpers beginning in June
going forward. Our normal stay is 2 weeks but we will try to work with your schedule.

We prefer to have "Helpers" who are willing to socialize with our family and learn what we do as well as teaching us what they do. We want this to be a 2-way street. We also prefer that you have some self-motivation.

Our main focus is the rescue of llamas and alpacas and we need help in the pastures with feeding, fencing, clearing tree branches, burning etc. We have projects going on at all times and can use someone who is willing to learn about our operation. Would also like help with projects around the property including electrical and minor carpentry. Our chickens are in their "palace" due to our Helpxer`s and we now have fresh eggs. We are expanding our chicken palace to move 30 new ones in.

Besides helping with the llamas and alpacas, we have property projects, and other odds and ends.

We have very limited internet (no Wi-Fi) but you can ch... more inside

Who We Are:
I am a landscape designer, music hippie, and eco-friendly tree hugger. My 11-year-old granddaughter lives with me part-time and is a vivacious free spirit with bundles of wit and charm. We also have a close-knit community of friends, family, and neighbors who frequently pop in and out.

Where We Live:
We have a beautiful 15 acres in the North Texas country-side. While there is a very rural feeling to the property, we are only a 15 minute car ride from historical McKinney and less than an hour from the DFW airport. Our little farm is organic with herb/veggie gardens, chickens for eggs, and great hiking trails. We also have a beautiful fire pit, an above-ground swimming pool, an outdoor kitchen, a trampoline, a tree fort loft, and lots of space to roam and stretch out.

Our Petting Zoo:
We have lots of furry friends!
6 dogs, 4 chickens, 3 cats, 2 horses, and 1 pig.
Must love animals to stay here! :)

Hello! We have a lovely fixer-upper property in Benson (Southeastern Arizona) one mile north of the Amtrak train depot and Interstate 10 and 30 minutes from the Tucson International Airport. We are within half an hour drive to Kartchner Caverns, Patagonia Lake, Parker Canyon Lake, Colossal Caves, Bisbee and Tombstone. Tucson is a 40 minute trip to town.

Our property has incredible potential, and the vision is to create a quirky/artsy Airbnb pet-friendly compound as well as a retreat for artists, writers, musicians, yogis and world travelers. The property has a large pond with cottonwood and mesquite trees and a natural spring (that needs some love) and a heated salt water swimming pool and spa (that has an attached cantina). There are four buildings needing renovations and the vision is to create Taos/Santa Fe style architecture and finishes. We are also planning to have a large organic garden.

There are many projects needing to be done, including: green construction (we are ... more inside

About Blue Mountain Trail Vineyard:
Sustainably farmed wine grape vineyard in the Davis Mountains of west Texas, about 25 miles north of Marfa and 30 miles from the Amtrak station in Alpine. We have beds for five or six people in a communal sleeping space in the upstairs area of an insulated metal building, with kitchen, bathroom and living space downstairs. At 5400ft (1650M) elevation, our winters are cold but the summers are mostly mild, with warm days and cool nights. The temperatures here rarely exceed 92F (33C).
While I am looking for help most of the year, spring and fall are the busiest times, and sometimes we have a pretty good crowd here for pruning, planting and harvesting. If you're interested in learning about viticulture and wine making, this is your place. I'm still learning about those things too.

I'm also looking for help with some alternative building projects, especially putting up a straw bale barrel room
