Who We Are:
I am a landscape designer, music hippie, and eco-friendly tree hugger. My 11-year-old granddaughter lives with me part-time and is a vivacious free spirit with bundles of wit and charm. We also have a close-knit community of friends, family, and neighbors who frequently pop in and out.

Where We Live:
We have a beautiful 15 acres in the North Texas country-side. While there is a very rural feeling to the property, we are only a 15 minute car ride from historical McKinney and less than an hour from the DFW airport. Our little farm is organic with herb/veggie gardens, chickens for eggs, and great hiking trails. We also have a beautiful fire pit, an above-ground swimming pool, an outdoor kitchen, a trampoline, a tree fort loft, and lots of space to roam and stretch out.

Our Petting Zoo:
We have lots of furry friends!
6 dogs, 4 chickens, 3 cats, 2 horses, and 1 pig.
Must love animals to stay here! :)

Our Venue:
In addition to being a small farm, we hold liv... more inside

I am an older woman, living on five mostly undeveloped acres just outside Roswell, N.M. (yes, THAT Roswell) who needs help mostly outside, trying to make my property self-sustainable. I'm learning as I go, so trying new things is always fun.

I have just retired from my job and will be traveling the world for the next few years. However, the property still needs caring for and my caretaker, Gary, a HelpXer himself, will be overseeing it and taking over the hosting duties.

Thanks to some marvelous HelpXers in the past, the major (read: really hard) work is done, so now I need folks who can help plant, weed, water and harvest my gardens, as well as feed and care for my two llamas, two goats, duck and dozen or so chickens.

There's still some outdoor cleanup to be done and we both love folks who come up with creative new ideas for my property. (And, if you're into cooking or housekeeping, we won't turn that down either.)

Gary is looking for folks skilled in carpentry (own to... more inside

I need help with a variety of tasks: cleaning and laundry, guest relations, renovating my home, landscaping and maintaining a small urban garden, painting, yard cleaning, errands, art projects, photography and videography.

Short and long term home stay options: (one week to six months) This is opportunity for free accommodation in exchange for work, helpers provide their own meals.

I am a Yoga , Dance, Acrobatics, and Thai Massage instructor and also rent rooms to short term guests.

From time to time, I can also use help with photography, videography.

Hello! We have a lovely fixer-upper property in Benson (Southeastern Arizona) one mile north of the Amtrak train depot and Interstate 10 and 30 minutes from the Tucson International Airport. We are within half an hour drive to Kartchner Caverns, Patagonia Lake, Parker Canyon Lake, Colossal Caves, Bisbee and Tombstone. Tucson is a 40 minute trip to town. The Greyhound bus stops here, but we just found out that an Uber or Lyft may be cheaper than bus tickets for more than one person.

Our property has incredible potential, and the vision is to create a quirky/artsy Airbnb pet-friendly compound as well as a retreat for artists, writers, musicians, yogis and world travelers. The property has a large pond with cottonwood and mesquite trees and a natural spring (that needs some love) and a heated salt water swimming pool and spa (that has an attached cantina). There are four buildings needing renovations and the vision is to create Taos/Santa Fe style architecture and finishes. We are a... more inside

My husband Tim and I moved out to our place in the desert in January 2008 along with our many plants. It was soon after we arrived that I got re-introduced to the miracle Moringa tree and began growing them. One thing led to another and our company was born. We have continued to grow our little farm to what it is today. We have an orchard with about 50 fruit and nut trees, an enclosed veggie garden area that is protected from wildlife, several growing structures (greenhouses in winter and shade structures in summer), and lots of projects to become more self sustainable, including solar energy production, etc.

We endeavor to provide a vast range of experiences for someone, and to offer a well balanced variety of activities that allows someone to learn as well as to contribute. As our business continues to grow, as well as the natural shift in focus / priorities that happens from season to season, our needs at various times also shift. Our most immediate need at the momen... more inside
