One thing I can advise helpers who want to get a placement with any host is to have at least one PICTURE of YOURSELF. Just as you like to "see" who and where you`re coming, hosts like to see who they`re opening their home to.
It is Autumn now,we had a hot Summer so cleaning up the garden and area would be one job. Pruning trees. I would really appreciate someone who can do handyman jobs and wants to come for a week or two. I sell things online and on eBay and would love someone who is good at writing descriptions in English and also anyone who is experienced at building websites.
I have a large house and property in a diverse area of Staten Island, New York that I`m always working on.
I plant a vegetable garden in the spring using the square foot gardening method. A friend and I rebuilt the whole house on the inside including jacking it up and replacing the foundation, sills and beams so there`s very little major work to be done inside except some finishing work and finish ca... more inside

We are always happy to welcome good helpers. Usually, our helpers stay for about 3 months, but we can certainly discuss longer or shorter stays. Our home is next to the University of Virginia in Charlottesville - in the heart of Virginia`s wine-producing country, surrounded by much of America`s early history: four of America`s first five presidents lived near here. The nearby Blue Ridge Mountains offer many beautiful walks and hiking trails for you to explore. In the city, there are wonderful concerts, theaters and cinemas, and over 400 cafes and restaurants.

Charlottesville is one of the best small cities in America: in just a few minutes, you can be in the forest, by a river or on top of a mountain! We are 110 miles southwest of Washington DC. I often take our helpers to Washington and for trips to the mountains, the beach and anywhere else you might enjoy.

I run a family real estate business. In the gardens, we grow many kinds of fruit and vegetables. I also enjoy creatin... more inside

Welcome Traveler!

Come and enjoy about 65 km of beach, resorts, sun, surfing and sand while helping me at home and/or business!

My name is Martin, and I am a 49 year-old, neurodiverse, divorced male whose undergraduate degree is in philosophy. My first graduate degree is in law, and I am ABD in education. My work experience ranges from civil engineering to running a boutique record label that specialized in classical music, to welding and building furniture. Both my writing and photography have been published. Currently, I run a small fabrication shop that builds things for rich people. Currently, a 1967 Lincoln Continental is being turned into a James Bond type car.

Currently, I have two needs with which I would really apprecate help. I need business help and household help.

Insofar as business help, I really lack organization and administration skills. This ranges from simply inputting bills and receipts to marketing campaigns for inventions I have d... more inside

Peaceful Hollow Homestead is located in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. We live in a quiet hollow, with no neighbors in sight. There are no city lights, and you can see every star on a clear night!

Running a homestead is hard but rewarding work. Homesteading is not for the faint of heart. It requires a certain strength of character to chose such a life. We could always use an extra set of hands. We enjoy meeting new people, and developing friendships. We have a lot you can be involved in.

Some things we need your help with:
- Caring for our horse, chickens, cats and dog. If you are not allergic to honey bees, you may help us with our beekeeping.

- General landscaping upkeep.

- Caring for young fruit trees.

- Plant, cultivate, harvest fruits and vegetables; Assist with home-canning (preserving) of fruits and vegetables. Extending the herb garden.

- We have various ongoing construction and home improvement projects, such as mudding, sanding, painti... more inside

We are the best of friends who live together and run a 24-hour café in Oneonta, New York. We built our rustic Deli with our own hands, using old rustic barn wood and other recycled materials. We love working together to serve good, wholesome food in a warm, encouraging environment — a haven from the storms of life.

Our community is part of a worldwide network of communities, many of which also run cafes, organic farms, and cottage industries where volunteers are also welcome to live and work with us.

We all work together in our houses and at our café. There is a lot to do in maintaining a community. We have two large houses and a café that need constant care and attention. We enjoy having guests and volunteers who want to get to know us by living and working with us.

We gather together every morning (at 7am) and evening (at 6pm) to express whatever is on our hearts, to sing and dance, and to give thanks to our Creator before sitting down at the table to share our meals to... more inside

I have 2 sailboats that I rent on airbnb. One, I rent individual spaces as a hostel and the other I rent the entire sailboat.
The 3 year plan is to fix up my larger sailboat and prepare it for a major continuous expedition. Some of that entails removing the diesel engine and replacing it with an electric motor as well as installing solar panels; a duo gen which can produce eletricty as a wind generator and when sailing generates electricity from smaller blades turning in the water. Plus we will be installing a large battery bank to store the electricity.

There is a lot of basic maintenance that needs to be done which requires no previous experience. Such as sanding, painting, finishing and staining wood using an all natural formula. There is additional maintenance, which helps if you have some basic carpentry, plumbing or electrical skills.
Also keeping the boats clean for guests is needed.

From early September until the end of April there will be less guests, enabling us t... more inside

I have a tastefully restored classic rowhouse in Baltimore, Maryland.

I am a professional in my early forties who works full time in Washington, DC and owns a home in Baltimore, MD. The Baltimore home is a restored 19th century townhouse and I have five bedrooms that I share with roommates. Since I work full time and spend a lot of time commuting, sometimes I need some help keeping the home clean and with errands like trash/recycling and dishes.

As for me, I speak Spanish and some French, and can read any Romance language. I work in International Finance and have traveled the world and I love meeting people from new places. I am friendly and get along well with people, th... more inside

I am a licensed nutritionist in the state of Maryland looking for someone to help with the business. And with the household needs.

I have a house big enough for a home business, as a licensed nutritionist, and to rent rooms out for airbnb. But I don't have the time to do all of the work, myself, on it.

I love meeting new people and working with new people, so helpx.net is a perfect match!

There is lots of work! I am looking for someone with computer skills - all are appreciated and the more the better. Ideally I am looking for someone who can build a website! And who has a great deal of experience building websites and knows their nuances, as I build one which captures my uniquenesses - both of my business and of me. KNOWING HOW TO CREATE A WEBSITE CAN BE KEY, as this is the most important task right now.

And I am looking for someone with good organizational interests - from organizing files and paper, to organizing closets/garage/basemen/cabinets, and reso... more inside
