We are a family of 4. My partner and I are former circus performers, we have two school aged children. Our children are spirited, loving, and gentle children who enjoy meeting new people. They love to share about their interests and hobbies. During the school year we need extra help with household errands and chores, occasionally child care, but not often.

Our ideal helpXer would blend into our family unit, is willing to help around the house, for example helping with chores or helping children with their chores, occasional errands. Hopefully nothing that would be more than your own parents or family would expect from you. We would hope you enjoy being with the family.

Because we are not tryig to find a "worker bee" we do not keep a set schedule for our helpXers. If you are here looking at schools or exploring the city we are flexible and can accommodate the day to day things when you are around. We prefer that helpXers contribute to the home community by pitching in with c... more inside

We are a small hill sheep farm. We raise high quality Icelandic Sheep for milk, meat, and wool, and we sell breeding stock. In the Green Mountains of central Vermont, we rise early for daily feeding chores of our horses, sheep, and chickens, and then move on to other farm chores during the day such as skirting wool, making yogurt, selling at our local farmer’s market, or hand milking our ewes (in season).
We concentrate on producing hearty, disease and parasite resistant sheep, and on keeping them in a healthy and humane environment. Our flock is intentionally small so that we can know each of our “girls” personally. :)
We offer a room in our home (or a pullout couch if the room is taken) and all meals in exchange for about 4 hours of work a day. We are only a few miles from Vermont’s Long Trail, and from Bolton Valley ski area. We are also a short drive (15min) from Lake Champlain and Burlington, VT.
If you are interested in coming to help, I have some more information to ... more inside

Winter stays are for shorter time frames since work to do outdoors is limited. Right now: put the gardens to bed , move snow, burn brush piles and clean up some forest areas.
My daughter is a student and I work often as the town librarian. So we are often out and you would have time on your own. I would need have kitchen and common room help and this would supplement the limited outdoor tasks. You could include in your hours kitchen clean up and common room floor vacuuming. It would usually be only the 3 of us and not an onerous task. It would also round out the 3 hours a day I ask you to work. You may make your schedule.
We have two light carpentry projects in the works, which you may help on depending on where we are at with them. One is a woodshed and the other is installing a sink and a composting toilet room.

We heat with wood. So there very little heat in the rooms that are not in the one common room with the wood stove. The common space is warm, usually between 65 and 7... more inside

Update-We’re offering campers and wwoofers the opportunity to gain hands on experience with building alternative structures and organic gardening in addition to a variety of other projects throughout the coming fall and winter. We’re focusing on harvesting acorns, sweet potatoes and other plant products from the farm.

Follow the link to check out the farms newly cleared camp sites-https://moss-hill-camp-sites.business.site/?m=true

Moss Hill Farm grows organic vegetables, fruit and timber for local markets. We currently use about 3 acres for organic gardening and leave the vast majority forested. My retired parents(who move to their summer home in Canada for the warmer months) and I, share a passion for the development of permacultural farming methods partly in order that guests, campers etc. can learn the skills for building healthy soil and sustainable farming practices. We’re always open to new ideas and the “why don’t we” input. This farm is a group effort and we love to le... more inside

I have a two family house about 10 minutes north of Boston by car. It's on the bus line, as well as a short walk to the subway. The work is some outside maintenance, some small painting projects, gardening, organizing, cleaning... I am seeking a helpxer or two. Mostly right now, it's outside work or inside, depending on the weather. Any carpentry experience will be particularly helpful. I am a licensed mental health counselor and teacher, inching along toward retirement. My daughter is 30 and has boomeranged home a few months ago.

We are a family with 2 kids (aged 7 and 10). The mother is Peruvian and work as a Spanish teacher; the father is American and is an avid cyclist. We speak both Spanish and English in the house. We both work full-time so we have a busy life. We love meeting people from other places, we travelled in France by bike last summer and planning to do more trips like that. The kids have learned French since they were babies (with classes at the Alliance Française Boston, French pre-school and with French Au Pairs and can understand French well. However, they have become lazy to speak, so we want them to practice their French conversational skills with our Helper. But you mostly will be speaking English with the parents.

We are looking for a French-speaking person who can help with taking the kids to the school bus stop in the morning and picking them up in the afternoon. Then help them with homework and read and play engaging games in French until dinner time. Some help with preparing di... more inside

My husband and I own 6 a acre farmhouse (of which only 1/2 acre is cultivated) in a rural community outside of Concord NH. We have a small organic herb and vegetable garden and sell our produce at a stand in front our house. We have guests from all over the world who stay in one of our 3 vacant bedrooms through Airbnb, and a campsite through Hipcamp. Also, Rick began a solar design and installation business few years ago and it is just starting to take off!
We have a variety of needs and would love to find one or two people to help us with any of our ongoing projects like; organic gardening, solar installation, marketing and website design and maintenance, making up guest rooms and upkeep of the campground for out wearied travelers, ongoing repair projects, maintaining the hot tub and fire pit for guests, cooking and general cleaning, and selling Christmas trees from November to December 25th.
As you can see, we have many projects going all at once, but we highly encourage our he... more inside
